wrong direction. We'll we'll hear about that from from Uh,

the subtraction. Yeah, Pacific to the Pacific and Eastern is

Central time. So there you go. Just just because t

do this? Man? Okay, good, yeah, ok man, I'm blessed

(03:35):
them Holly favor with him alive. I feel great today. Man,
It's a beautiful Saturday, clear skies and palm trees, LaVar,
clear skies of palms. Ready to go back. You're not
a cloud in the sky. Not a cloud in the sky.
I was in an ice storm yesterday. How was that fireplace?
Whether brutal? M well? Man that? Hey, LaVar, do you

(03:58):
see a cloud in the sky where you don't see?
I was actually in the hot tub yesterday at on
a pool deck on a at a hotel in Anaheim,
right next to Disneyland. Couldn't even get into Disneyland because well,
all the tickets were sold out. So Disneyland, if you're
listening to our show case, yeah, because the COVID plaque

(04:19):
stoney let x amount of people in now each day. Yeah.
And then you know it's a big, big cheerleading tournament. Uh,
if you've ever seen the movie Bring It On? At
that time, a hundred thousand at this convention center. We
just we were just at in Anaheim. I never saw
so many cheerleaders and cheer moms in one place at

(04:41):
one time in my entire life. It was very It
was very um, uh intimidating. I was intimidating. Like every
once in a while you're like, oh, you turn around
because somebody be like it's like like what what what?
What they say? And people is walking around with the
boom boxes on and stuff like that. Like chair culture
is a real thing, man, it's a real thing. I

(05:03):
couldn't even believe it. You're surrounded about women. Yeah, I am,
I am. I'm totally out, very patient man. Well, I
it's it's I'm I'm a losing man. I've been losing.
I can see that too. But you know what, I've
never been to Disneyland before, but I have been to
Disney World. Yeah. Yeah, Landing World is a little different,

(05:25):
and you'd see that once once you visit them. So
people out there at Disneyland, um, you know, shots out
to y'all. Make sure y'all call up Premier, make sure
y'all call about hard Fox Sports Radio and let him
know when, uh we can do the show and come
out there with our families and hang out with you. Yeah. Yeah, alright,
So let's let's jump into the speaking of disney Land. Uh.

(05:47):
This guy hasn't been able to go to Disneyland, but
he certainly has been playing well enough to visit Disneyland
or Disney World. Not Aaron Rodgers. UM. This week, he
had some interesting things to say on the Pat McAfee show.
Gunda Kuntz, the GM for for UH for the Green

(06:08):
Bay Packers also had some things to say. Here's what
Aaron Rodgers had to say on He's continuing this UH
train or this this gratitude gratitude train and and here's
what he had to say on Pat McAfee show. Unless
you've gotten through with certain experiences UM, and had frustration
and and and been near the bottom and then get

(06:30):
near the top and understand the beauty in life, and
then you might say things about that, that's a cryptic message.
I mean, there's nothing cryptic about gratitude all right. Now.
That was him explaining, one, I have no announcement yet
as to what I'm gonna do. Um. He's made it
made it very very uh, very blurry as to if

(06:52):
he wants to return, or if he wants to leave,
or if he even wants to continue to play. Here's
what Brian gun Kunz had to say about, uh, what's
taking place with with Aaron Rodgers and even just you know,
them being able to move into the future, um without
knowing what they're going to do with Aaron Rodgers. Here's
what he had to say, Brian, if Aaron comes to

(07:15):
you and says he he wants to trade, are you
gonna be any more willing to trade him? And were
last off season? Are you still saying you're not trading him?
You know, those are kind of some hypotheticals. I don't
think we're gonna go down those roads right now. I
think at the start of training camp last year, you
and Aaron both characterized your relationship is professional. How would
you characterize it now? Hasn't changed at all every last
several months. Yeah, no, Like I said, Um, I think

(07:37):
I've spoken this before, but I think this is coming
into the season after everything that had happened, and you know,
last summer UM was difficult, I think for both Aaron
and the organization. But I gotta give him a lot
of credit with the way he came in. I mean,
what he gave to our organization and the team this
year was was impressive, and you know, I credit a
lot of that to him. And then the way he

(07:58):
came in and our relationship now, I mean it's it's uh,
like I said, I think, uh, I'm very very positive
about it. Okay, Fellas, So the translation of that to
me from Guten Kunts is what exactly am I supposed
to say? He's he's won the MVP award consecutive times.
It's it's just not it's unprecedented territory to let a

(08:21):
two time m v P leave your team. Um, it's
it's it's a very compromising situation in some regards because
obviously they have cap issues that they have to address.
What is your take on what is the best move
for for green Bay in this scenario? And what you
think is the best move for Aaron Rodgers in this scenario? Man?

(08:45):
When when when I look at the situation, Number one,
the green Bay packers of the organization are over the
cap in a major way, and that's why they're doing
all this restructuring with Kenny Clark, Aaron Jahn owns to
free up caps cap space. If I'm not mistaken, there
were forty million dollars over the cap and so they

(09:08):
have to do a ton just to get under the cap.
Devonte Adams he want thirty million a year. You franchise him.
That's nineteen million on your cap right off the top.
They can't have to. They can't afford to, because you're
gonna have to release Devondre Campbell. Probably your best defensive

(09:29):
player is a free agent. What are you gonna do?
Aaron Rodgers wants a new deal? What are you gonna do?
I truly believe there has to be or there was
some type of an agreement where if you don't want
to be here another year, we'll trade you, but we're
gonna trade you to the team we feel offers us

(09:50):
the most. I truly believe that's what's gonna happen. I
believe Aaron Rodgers will alert them to that in the
next seven to ten days. There's just no way you
can franchise to and Adams. You don't want to lose
them for anything, So you're franchising with the hopes of
trading them that that That's what I believe a smart
and a well run organization would do. I believe that
will happen. Um, the Green Bay Packers will being rebold

(10:12):
rebuild mode. Well, the Green Bay Packers are not a
well run the organization. First of all, Wow, First of all,
that not because listen, they just keep digging themselves a
bigger hole with this, with with this Aaron rodd A situation,
with this, they just should have traded them a year ago. Now,
look at the position that they're in. For Aaron Rodders

(10:33):
at this point in his career. Listen, he's he's one
of the best quarterbacks ever played the game consecutive m vps.
But like, what are going to be the trade demands
for for guy like Aaron Rodgers? Is your team going
to get better? No, they're not. There's not a better
quarterback that you can get from anywhere that is gonna
make your football Uh, that's gonna make your your organization

(10:53):
a better football team. And for Aaron Rodgers, the same
as for him, where is he going to go outside
of Green Bay where he's going to have a better
football team the what he already has Denver. No, the
the Vibroncos is not a better football team than the
than than the Green Bay Packers are right now and then,

(11:13):
and if he's not playing beside Davante Adams, is he
still the the caliber the caliber quarterback that he is
in Green Bay? No, he's not, because he doesn't have
number seventeen on this side, and and and and far
as the salary caps became is concerned with DeVante Adams.
You're gonna have to franchise him, and and and all
that it really is gonna do is gonna make him

(11:34):
upset because he understands and knows that you know what,
you guys are just making business decisions. You guys really
don't want me to be around here a long term
and his future is going to depend on what Aaron
Rodgers does. So what are you gonna do if you're
the Green Bay Packers, He said, you at forty million
dollars over the cap. DeVante Adams is the best wide

(11:56):
receiver in football. He wants a long term deal and
just well, the Green Bay Packers of artist said they're
going to become the highest paid quarterback and football. So
it's it's it's just a carousel of issues that the
Green Baby Packers are not going to be able to
solve because they are gonna have to let some players
go because two factors are going to remain. Davonte Adams

(12:19):
and a Rodgers are going to play together no matter
what in Green Bay. But now you have to figure out, uh,
the guys that you're gonna have to let go to
make that happen. And that's to me the conclusion I
came to as well. I think that they're gonna put
all their cards on the table from the deck to
sign Aaron Rodgers back, to bring Davontae Adams back, to

(12:43):
make sure that their offense is what it needs to be,
and they're gonna take their chances on on losses on
the defense side of the ball. I think their defense
is going to take a major, major, major step back
if this plays out the way that I'm thinking it's
going to play out, in order for them to try
to get Aaron Rodgers back into the fold. But nonetheless,

(13:03):
I think that that's kind of really unless they do
something that's creative and and unseen. Uh. In terms of
what they may do, Uh, they're going to have to
like the Smith brothers are gonna they might both be gone.
Maybe not just one, they might both Presston and Ladarius
might both be gone. They're gonna have to depend on
the Rashaun Garry, which he did very well this year

(13:25):
and could very easily be a starter, um and should
be a starter at this point in the league. He
was a starter this year because the Darius Smith was hurt. Yeah,
so I think, uh, the under them, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
he's been a man, grown man since day one. So um,
we'll see what happens. But I think the defense is
going to take a major step back if this plays

(13:47):
out in a way where Aaron Rodgers and Davontae Adams
both end up back in Green Bay, if and for
the Green Bay Pack because they cannot afford to get
any worse than they can on defense right now. Well,
if that's the case, then maybe they're like, we can't
afford to get any worse, so let's go ahead and
get a little bit worse because we can't afford to
get any worse anyway. So all right, you're listening to

(14:09):
up on Game, we got a whole lot to get.
Two guys, Uh, next, we got well, I'm on your head,
James Jackson from Straight Facts podcast, from up on Game Network,
up on Game Presents. He'll be on next. We're gonna
talk Sean McVeigh. As I mentioned Eric b Enemy, We
got an interesting conversation coming on that. As I mentioned before,

(14:29):
a big, big, big major announcement that's coming up an
hour two of the show. Legendary Moment. We have Jim
Everett y'all remember him, look him up before we get
to the legendary moment because you up him and your
boy horridball. I remember that. Yeah, well remember when he
was about to get at your boy, uh Jim Rome

(14:51):
because he kept calling him Chris, uh Chris Chris. Yeah
yeah yeah, yeah yeah. So we got all that and more.
You're listening up on game. That's t J. Hushman's out of.
That's Plexico Burst. I'm LaVar Arrington. We wanna take a
quick break. We'll be right bout his Fox Sports Radio.

(17:04):
know about this plex? You know about that right there?
Ain't that your boy at that? Your area? Um? Good?
The whole seven five seven shipping fag shaving beach in
the middle. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, you're listening up on
game that is stretched arms strong himself from the seven

(17:25):
five seven type water area. You know what it is,
Virginia Beach, that's Plex coke Burgs And we got pantine.
Uh well, I feel like I want to say panting
for some reason. Oh though I got caught off panty,
but but it really is pantine, man, because I guess
it's here is real silky smooth. So I don't know.
My my head got like in a weird place. But anyway,

(17:48):
I digress. That's t J. Hushman's out of in a
very manly way, of course. Uh no, that was funny
to you, t J. Ba. Uh well, anyways, back to
the show. Speaking of speaking of hair and heads, uh,
we got our bad James Jackson in the build. It

(18:09):
is I'm on your head. It's I'm on your head
with James Jackson. What up, j J? What you got?
What's what's going on? You know what's going on? I'm
actually annoyed today, I'm coming in hot. I'm I'm coming
and annoyed because y'all know I love football, right, I
love the NFL. I've been on with y'all for months,

(18:32):
going back and forth talking about a lot of different things.
But the off season is tough because it's it's all
storylines and no play. And I'm okay with that as
long as the NFL doesn't get turned into a reality show,
doesn't get it turned into drama. And you guys were
talking about it just now, but I need my two
cents about it too, because some players just can't help themselves.

(18:52):
Aaron Rodgers, man, I'm on your head, and I know
what a lot of people out there are gonna say, Right, Jimmy,
we've heard you get on a Rogers before, we've heard
you call him out. There's nothing new you're gonna say.
And for those people out there, I kind of get it.
You know, it might must be hard to hear me
go back and forth and back and forth about the situation.
But that's exactly why I need could call Aaron Rodgers

(19:14):
out today because just his whole situation with either staying
or not staying with the Green Bay Packers they're starting
to put my brain in the pretzel a little bit.
I can't stand all the fake announcements, the cryptic posts,
and the subliminal messages he's putting out. Hey man, just
let us know when you make a decision. Just let
us know that, and we will be fine. But he's
doing all this and a little bit of a pompous way.

(19:36):
There's some arrogance about it. Sometimes. I think he even
gets a little bit of a chick And I guess
that ugly tell he showed us in the beginning of
the season is fine then if he's willing to do that.
But to me, in this situation, there's a fine line
between staying with the Green Bay Packers and defining to
move on. But Aaron Rodgers out there jumping rope with
that line right now, I might as well call it
a discount double dutch the way he's doing it. And

(20:00):
to be honest, I don't think Aaron Rodgers really owes
the Packers anything. Now. I know he's only come away
with one Super Bowl, but four vps and over a
decade of success with one organization. That's that's a lot
more than most franchises can say. So I think if
he just stayed down made this decision. I don't think anybody,
at least not me, would blame him for the decision

(20:22):
he wants to make. Moving forward, do what you have
to do, what's best for your career, and then move on.
But to play this little, fake romantic cat and mouse
game with the green Bay Packers, it's a little cheese
and don't you take I'm on your head. I mean,
I'm not gonna lie man, I'm always and we'll not

(20:44):
let me not say always if it makes sense, Like
I agree with Aaron Rodgers to be honest with you,
Like he what does he owe to Green Bay that
they don't owe him. This is a two way street.
This is not a one way street to where how
many times have we seen the organization hold on to
a player and release him late and training camp? Nobody
says anything. It's old. So now that Aaron Rodgers can

(21:07):
do this to the green Bay Packers, oh it's a
big deal. Get out of here with that. No way.
Green Bay hasn't won and you can put some of
the Super Bowls as many as they should have with
the team that they have had and with Aaron Rodgers
or quarterback that Okay, he can take some of that blame.
But there's been so we can go to Green Bay Packers,
you can go so many different teams. There's so many

(21:29):
cases of guys getting released after free agency. If you
release me before a free agency, maybe I could have
signed for a bit of deal. Be Guys released in
training camp ain't no ros and you knew you were
going to release him, but they hold on to you.
And so when the player has a little bit of

(21:51):
power and he's willing to use it, people get on
his head, like James just got on a Rod's head,
which I disagree with because there's never any consequences when
the organization does it to a player, but when the
player does it toward organization, No, he's being selfish. Oh
he wants more money, Aaron Rodgers, Get what you can
get because at the end of the day, and we

(22:13):
all known this because we are former players, they care
about you as long as you can do for them.
As soon as you can't do for them, they don't
care about you. Man, So get what you can get.
What do you mean, get what you can get? I mean,
what does he need you can get? No? Everything? He

(22:33):
even he doesn't even have to negotiate a contract. They've
already said they're gonna make him to high spade playing football,
but they're trying to paint the picture of him is
being selfish. Oh he wants fifty million a year. That's
gonna take up so much in the cap, so figure
it out. Nobody's painting him to be selfish. And Rodgers
does this because he knows. He knows that he can
get away with it. That's why he's sending up these

(22:54):
cryptic tweets and all of these things and saying, It's
been wonderful to play with you. I've never played with
a quarterback that have said anything to me after the
season about uh, you know, congratulations in fake and and
all of these things. He's just playing the role. That's
exactly what he's doing. Deep in his mind, he know
he's not going anywhere, and he's doing these things to

(23:17):
get everybody talking about to get everybody around up, turn
this whole thing into a soap proper. And in the
bottom line is he's not going anywhere, and he's doing
it because he can get away with it. Well plex
if he's doing it to get people rolled up at work,
because I'm rolled up and I'm annoyed. And it's the

(23:39):
theatrics and the and the dramatic something that that have
me annoyed. Because t J. I think you're right, Like
I said, he doesn't owe the Packers anything. If he
wants to do this to try to maximize the deal,
what's seeing other players do it too. Aaron Donald might
have created to get a bigger deal, Chris Goblin might
have created with their team to get to catch a
bigger deal. But it's it's it's the dramatic grabbing everybody's

(24:01):
attecting just to just to not make the announcement what
you do, That's what has me annoying. Man say that
the actress just make the decision. In my opinion, none
of them are Aaron Rodgers. And here's the thing. Here's
the thing, right, Aaron Rodgers it is able to do
all the things that are being stated within the media.

(24:24):
Why because the media is all on his sack, right
so so, and that might be a rear button, y'all,
just so y'all know, But but here's the thing right here,
right if if people weren't sweating Aaron Rodgers the way
that they'd be sweating Aaron Rodgers, it's it's like the

(24:45):
tree in the forest question. If the tree falls in
the forest doesn't make a noise if no one is there.
Some would say no, it doesn't make a noise. If
you're there, you hear the noise. So in other words,
there's enough reporters, there's enough people standing in the woods
watching tree, Aaron Rodgers, and they hear it. They hear it.

(25:07):
It takes people wanting to cover it, wanting to talk
about it, wanting to be involved in it for this
to even work. For what Aaron Rodgers is doing. For that,
I don't have a problem with the way he's handling it, because,
honestly speaking, this is one thing we're in media. If
there's one thing we've learned during media is there will
never be a way to make everybody happy. You could

(25:29):
say what you feel is the most philosophically sound and
logical uh thing about about the topic, and someone will
still come out and and dog cuss the mess out
of who you are and call you every name, what
the name your mama gave you, right, So you are,
you're not gonna say anything that's going to ever satisfy everybody,

(25:49):
So you might as well execute what your agenda is
going to be because the people who are gonna love
you are those people that are gonna love you. Those
people are gonna hate you are those people that are
going to hate you. So don't waste your time trying
to get people to to sit with you. You execute
the plan. And I think that that's what Aaron Rodgers
is doing right now. People are paying attention. So you're

(26:11):
saying and doing things that people are gonna listen to
and pay attention to. And and the biggest issue that
that Green Bay has in this scenario is that Green
Bay only really has a voice. In my opinion, this
is my estimation, they really only have a strong voice
to be listened to right now because it's all applicable

(26:32):
to Aaron Rodgers and what the Aaron Rodgers situation is
or going to be. He's the only person that speaks
and and and really but it's on the organization says anything.
None of the players. I haven't heard anything from anybody,
But it just seems like they support them. It just
seems like they all support wouldn't you support them outside
of grag you if you play on the office, you

(26:55):
better support your guy. He's the arguably the best quarterback
to never play the game it gives him. Hey, G
and J did come out on on First Things First
this week and call Aaron Rodgers selfish for the way
he's handling things. I mean, do you guys think Aaron
Rodgers is selfish? Everybody is selfish to a certain degree
when you play for President sports everybody. If he wants

(27:19):
to get the biggest deal and the best thing for him,
I think he has to be a little selfish. So yes,
But I don't believe that there's nowhere that Aaron Rodgers
can go that is gonna pay him more money than
the Green Bay Packers are willing to pay him. Right now,
I'd say there's one place that I know for certain,
it's not Denver. Denver. Denver has a better team. I

(27:43):
believe Denver has a better team than than Green Bay.
I do. Now, if we're talking who's gonna pay him more?
Come on, man, you from the Tidewater area, you have
been around long enough to know that that man that's
still in charge of that team in Washington that just
changed its name well and always put themselves in position

(28:05):
to win the offseason battle. Now, now you're putting the
cart before the Horse has come out and said he
has not been happy over the last few years with
the team that he's playing on. But not now. Do
you think he's gonna chase some money, some paper and
go to play down in Washington? Who was arguably? I mean,
they're them what they're not a bad team. They got

(28:29):
McClaren out there, they got Gibson in the backfield, they
got sure up front, they got Yeah, they're not a
bad They're they're actually trending in the right direction right now.
They're not a bad and take them over and Rodger's
gonna take him over the top of the making make
him a Super Bowl contender, and you're going to make
me the highest paid player in the National Football League?

(28:50):
Are you going to take a chance on seeing if
that's true or not? Listen, I'm gonna say yes, what
I said is wrong, and he's I got compensated for
being incorrect. I can handle people. I can handle people
telling me I'm not worth the contract that I got
as long as that thing is guaranteed, they could kiss
my ass as long a period. Would you rather be overpaid? Underrated? Talk?

(29:19):
All right, Well that's James Jackson, j J. If you
call him Nasty from the Straight Facts podcast on the
Up on Game Presents line. Make sure you subscribe check
them out. Uh. They do an excellent show a long
with other shows uh that are on there and and
and I'll tell you what. I appreciate your work. I'm
glad you came on. I'm glad that you were able

(29:42):
to get away from Villanova for a few minutes of
Villanova basketball being on the court to come come bless
us with you're on your head segments. So appreciate it, man.
You know I enjoyed the time with you. Guys. Man,
stay up on game for me. All right, look it
over to our man Ralph Irvin for this. It's trending, man,
what you got Ralphie? You know you could be told

(30:04):
by the highest power in all the universe the secret
of life, and he says, I want you to share
that secret with everybody. Okay, and you tell people the
secret of happiness. And if you're in Rogers, they'll be like, yeah,
but what team me going to? So none of that matters,
None of them secrets matter making their life better. They

(30:24):
just want to know where you cannot make everyone happy?
There you go, you can. And I'm gonna tell you.
I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna tell you one thing
about secrets. Hey, once it gets to your ear, it
is no longer a secret. Wow, y'all, just y'all just
dropping dropping real game right now. I mean that, just
blew me away, plexicope, Hey, plague, if you hear it,

(30:50):
it is no longer a secret that it is no
longer a secret. Dang, it's called gossip at that point.
What's you got? Ralphis got the NBA actually playing here
on a Saturday, and Boston a thirty leader of Detroit
at the end of the first quarter in the Motor
City Jason Tatum leading the way. He's got eight points,
six each for Robert Williams the third and Jalen Brown.

(31:13):
As again the NBA often running here on a Saturday.
We also have one game in the top twenty five
college basketball six ten to play in the first half,
and look who's in the lead. It is Sparta himself
with a lead over number four per Due. The Spartans
so not ranked, looking to pull the big upset at

(31:34):
home into this contest. Coming up at two o'clock Eastern
number six Kentucky playing at number eighteen Arkansas Number twenty.
Texas will be at West Virginia. Major League Baseball talks
continuing in Jupiter, Florida between the owners and the players association.
They've just started those meetings right now. The earliest spring
training games could start with be March eight, but you

(31:55):
need to have a labor deal done by Monday unless
you want to avoid or to avoid canceling games and
delaying the start of the regular season. One more note
from the NBA. San Antonio is gonna buy on Thomas
Saturanski from his deal. He will then sign with Washington,
where he played three seasons in Poland says they will
not play Russia in World Cup qualifying due to the

(32:16):
invasion at Ukraine. The two sides supposed to play March,
with the winner advancing to a game March twenty nine
that would send it that winner to the World Cup.
So it is a pretty darn big matchup. They want
FIFA to step in and do something about it. We're
gonna do something about it right now, though, as we
sent it back to the fellas it is on what

(32:47):
I'm talking about. Appreciate your Ralphie. I figured i'd just
add a little bit more game to your up on game. Yeah,
I mean work right there can always do a little more. Yeah,
we could always do a little more. From on another
speaking of doing a little more, Uh, fellas McVeigh, Uh,
Ryan Ryan Bertinger are are our fearless Uh production manager

(33:10):
producer of the show. Uh. Can you give me the
details on this, this McVeigh situation and and and what
what has transpired? Because we were just talking about money
and opportunities and good teams and all that stuff with
Aaron Rodgers. Same thing seems to be going on with
McVeigh right now. Yeah. So as we've been hearing, there's

(33:30):
been a lot of rumors swirling around Sean McVeigh potentially
taking a TV job. Andrew Marshawn of The New York
Posts tweeted yesterday along with his report, he said, quote
McVeigh says no to TV. He and Amazon were going
to meet next week, and Amazon may have gone as
high as five years and one hundred million dollars according

(33:50):
to sources. Rams obviously up stepped up with a raise
from his reported eight point five million dollars. Now there
he is referencing, Uh, the rumors that the Rams and
mcveih have agreed to an extension. Uh. No official announcement
has come out about that yet, but Mike Florio of
Pro Football Talk speculates that if a new deal is done,
it's between fifteen and eighteen million per year. Wow, what

(34:14):
you think about that? I'm I'm I'm I'm confused. For
so TV's TV. Yeah, what in the hell does Amazon
have to do with this? I'm i'm law design is
getting into the game. So he's going to be an
announcer on their broad cast or digital. It's digital Digital

(34:37):
about to get the Thursday night packet. So if they
get that, obviously it would be broadcasted offering that type
of money. They're clearly working on something that major significant.
They're working on this right now because this is the
last year on the contract with the NFL and Direct TV. Mmm.
So maybe this whole Amazon thing, maybe they come in

(35:00):
and buy the NFL s and they ticket who knows,
I don't know. But so Amazon is going digital. They're
going to have their own their broadcasting Thursday night games.
And what you would say is NFL is going digital
and you may not be able to watch on terrestrial
television Thursday night football. Like imagine that. Imagine if if

(35:23):
you had to go to Amazon to watch Thursday night
football digital space. Man, well they know more than I know. Well,
would you let me ask you this because what you
just how you just responded is how a lot of
people may not who may not be you know, up

(35:47):
to speed on on where technology is going or where
it has gone and where you know, in terms of
you know, digital platforms versus traditional terrestrial platforms. Uh, some
people would consider a television station or channel um to
be well a fossil. So basically what you're saying is,

(36:10):
pretty soon we're gonna be watching NFL football games on
one of those vias, watching your any device that's not
a television. Well, well, look at it like this. Your
television becomes your your computer monitor, if your monitor, So
you're not turning on you know, uh, you know, a

(36:31):
cable company, you're turning on, you're turning on a digital platform,
a digital channel. So just like you could jump on
a social media channel, you can jump on your your
you know whatever YouTube or whatever on your television screen,
on your monitor, and you don't have to ever even
turn on your cable your cable box. So that's kind

(36:53):
of where things are going. Man. We've come a long
wave from a tour somebody, it's it's a lot of money.
I mean you you you specifically talk about McVeigh man
is in his mid thirties and you get burned out.
He's gone on record and said he was somewhat burned
out putting in all the hours of being a head coach.

(37:16):
And you have Amazon or a network come along and say, hey,
who give you upwards a twenty million a year. You're
working ten hours a day. You might not work ten
hours a week with us a minimum of ten hours
a day, you might not work ten million. He had.
You gotta think these coaches get up at five in

(37:37):
the morning, they're out of the office on big weeks,
midnight at the latest earliest. Sometimes they stay to night,
and sometimes they write. And so when you're thirty two,
thirty three and you're talking about you burned out, but
he's at an age to where I love football too much.
I'm gonna keep coaching. But you, guys, gotta something's gonna
have to change in this world of quote unquote coaching.

(37:59):
There is no way you need to be up there
all the hours, because how many coaches have told you, guys,
when they're watching film. The film ends up watching them
because they actually just forgot what they watched. Them coaches
is liars. Man them coaches is trying to get away
from at home. They don't want to be at home
because that's not that's not that's not true. But yes,
some of what you're saying is true. But they want

(38:21):
to be at home. LaVar talked to any coach. You
know what they say they do. They guard their office,
they guard their desk because they don't want to be
the first one to walk off the office. So they
gotta act like they're watching film until other coaches start
to leave. They don't want to leave first. It still
falls down the line of line. But they don't want
to go home. Let me tell you something. Let me

(38:42):
tell you something about Sean McVeagh. I really generally do
not touch on people's own lives, and I'm not, but
let me tell you something. He is not trying to
stay any longer than what he has to stay before
he goes home. Sean McVeigh is very well and going
home category and I'm gonna just leave that there. I

(39:03):
ain't gonna let me tell you something. Sean McVeigh is
text message and calling face time and checking in literally
probably every ten minutes to make sure everything. I'll be home.
Don't go to sleep. I'm bringing you. Ain't even got
a cook I'm bringing home the food. I bring home food.

(39:24):
What you want, cheese, cake factory, what you want, Morton's,
it don't matter. I'm gonna make sure that is delivered. Whatever.
You're good to go. You're good, You're happy? Are you okay?
I'm gonna talk to you a little bit. Sean McVeigh
is doing all right in life, That's all I'm gonna
tell you. And you know who else is doing all right?
Uh t J. Hushman's out of Plexico Burds. I think
I'm doing very well myself personally. Uh So, here we go.

(39:44):
All right, we're gonna take a quick break, and on
the other side of this break, well, we're gonna touch
on Eric b into me. And it's a short it's
a short segment, but nonetheless it will be an impactful segment.
You know why, because we're gonna put you up on
game as to what the situation is with Eric be Atomy.
All right, now, like I said, you got the triple

(40:05):
trio right here, that's in your air. Take a quick break.

And we're live here outside the Perez family home, just
waiting for the and there they go, almost on time.
This morning. Mom is coming out the front door strong
with a double arm kid carry looks like dad has
the bags. Daughter is bringing up the rear. Oh but
the diaper bag wasn't closed. Diapers and toys are everywhere.

(41:38):
Oh but mom has just nailed the perfect car seat
buckle for the toddler. And now the eldest daughter, who
looks to be about nine or ten, has secured herself
in the booster seat. Dad zips the bag closed and
they're off, But looks like Mom doesn't realize her coffee
cup is still on the roof of the car, and
there it goes. Oh, that's a shame, and that mug

Fellas we're in and real quickly out of this first
hour and charging into the second hour. A whole lot
to get too big announcement to say an hour legendary
moment with Jim Evert in the second hour. Uh. But

(43:04):
right now, you know, Ryan, can you tell us a
little bit about this Eric b Enemy situation. It seems
like he's trending in the wrong direction. Sure, Yeah, he
just accepted a one year extension with the Chiefs. This
will be a second straight season on a one year deal. Uh.
And it is something to note that apparently according to
reports from Chief's Kingdom, a site that's that's pretty close

(43:26):
to the Chiefs, they say that the Enemy and Patrick
Mahomes have not gotten along super well ever since going
back to their Super Bowl loss, and these tensions kind
of came to a head in their most recent AFC
Championship Game loss, Thank you, sir. And clearly it doesn't
seem as though he took any steps forward in getting
a a head coaching role as well. What y'alls take

(43:47):
on this real quick. Man. It's it's just one of
those things, man, it's you don't have any answers for it.
You don't know why, you don't know the reasons. Uh.
But but ultimately, if he continues to do what he's
doing and the team continues to play the way they've played,

(44:08):
his opportunity at least I believe will come. Why it
hasn't come any sooner, you can't answer that, you you
don't know. You you feel like he deserves it because
history is shown when an offensive team plays well, those
coordinators of those teams get put in position to be

(44:31):
head coaches and then our head coaches. It hasn't happened
for him. Um, the exact reason I don't know, there
has to be something that we don't know about the
outside people. Um. For that reason, I believe his opportunity
will come eventually, and when he does, he's gonna have
to take advantage of it, because, as you see, it's
taking this long to get his first opportunity, he won't

(44:53):
get a second. Yeah, there's definitely something going on behind
behind the scenes that do that we do not know about.
We all that is a back door, you know, channel
of information that goes between these organizations, owners, head coaches
and different things of that nature. But if you look
at Eric being man, he's more than qualified to be
a head coach in his league, and you know he's

(45:15):
not getting to look for some strange reason. There has
to be something going on, like I said, that we
don't know about, but you know, for him, you know,
if he can't, if he's not able to get a
head coaching job, and just come out and said, I mean,
I think that a lot of these organizations are holding
and to get them because he's coaching Patrick Mahomes and
they don't believe that he's qualified enough to go to

(45:38):
another organization and and have success if he doesn't have
a guy like Patrick Mahomes. Both great points. That's what
we do on Up on Game. Legendary moment coming up
