Dr. Laurence Greenhill, Professor of Clinical Psychology at Columbia University, New York, NY, discusses the management and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adolescent patients. Dr. Greenhill also reviews the research and studies that support the need to find the optimal dose in the differing age groups, the importance of behavioral modification, implementing protocols in clinician's offices and in patient's homes.
Dr. Greenhill is the Past President of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He is engaged in research on the safety and efficacy of medications to ameliorate psychiatric symptoms in youth, with specific projects in determining the long-term benefits of medication treatments on preschool children with Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and conducting research on the efficacy of different types of treatment on depressed adolescents with suicidal behavior
