Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's KFI AM six forty and you're listening to the
Conway Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. We're following
these huge stories. New Orleans terrorist attack. Fifteen people have
been killed, thirty five injured at least following that story.
Las Vegas a truck fire. A Tesla cyber truck burned

(00:24):
outside of the Trump Tower with a ton of fireworks
in the back. Set that thing on fire. That is
a big deal. We're following that story. We have an
amber alert, an amber alert coming out of Inglewood. If
you're on the freeway right now, keep your eyes peeled
for a young lady fourteen years old, nevea Holden, five foot,

(00:44):
five hundred pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, wearing a black shirt,
black panspet black leggings, black crocs, sandals, and a pink
head wrap. They're looking for Edward Mason, fifty nine years old,
six two two and twenty pounds, black and gray hair, eyes,
unknown clothing, driving a Dodge Caravan that's also black, and

(01:07):
his license plate six ZS and Zebra emas and Mary
Why's and yellow nine eight seven six z m Y
nine eighty seven. It was activated by the CHP on
the request of the Inglewood Police Department. So this young
lady was last seen on ninety seventh Street and Flower

(01:28):
On today at around twelve thirty this afternoon. So if
you see anything, call nine to one one. I was
just talking to my sister who lives out in Malibu,
and I didn't realize this, and this is dangerous Grozier
that after the fire in Malibu, they have not yet
repaired or replaced all the street lights along Malibu Canyon Road.

(01:54):
So when you drive at night from the San Fernando
Valley to the beach, that street is black. Oh my god,
none of those lights are on. That's just begging for
more accidents. Yes, it's horrible. It's terrible. So if you're
driving Malibu Canyon, please be careful. No street lights on
Malvu Canyon may not be there for a while. Although

(02:15):
that does seem odd. You would think one of those
Hollywood producers or actors would write a check for like
nine million dollars and they could replace those overnight. But
they didn't. So I don't know, stingy, I guess I
don't know what's going on with the celebrities out there.
All right, let's get back to our major stories here
New Orleans. We all woke up to this horrible, horrible story,

(02:40):
a terrorist attack in New Orleans. And this guy, Jabbar,
who's forty two years old, had an ICE's flag on
the back of his truck as he drove it down
in New Orleans, down the French Quarter. The ballards, which
of those you know, either metal or steel or concrete
bare there there's suposed to protect people are gone being

(03:03):
repaired in time for Super Bowl. They should have been
there last night, but they weren't. And the Sugar Bowl
in New Orleans has been postponed. We talked to Brian
Gan earlier. Kfi's national Correspondent's been on the story all
day long, and they're going to replay that or they
play that game tomorrow night. The Rose Bowl is over.
The your Oregon Ducks. I got blown out in the

(03:25):
in the first half of that game. They were down
thirty four to eight. They never recovered. They end up
losing by twenty points, forty one to twenty one to
the Ohio the Ohio State Buckeyes. And then the only
I was I was coming to work today and I
turned I was flipping around stations. I think it was
a commercial breakou on KFI. I'm usually all my presets

(03:47):
are KFI one through six, and they were on commercial.
So I was flipping around and I heard the Los
Angeles Kings on the radio. I'm like, why are they
on the radio. Well, there was the national game on
TV today. The Los Sanngelis Kings were taken on the
New Jersey Devils, and they were on national radio, the
only NHL game scheduled for today. And I'll tell you

(04:08):
the score. If you've recorded it, You've got four seconds
to turn this down. Three two one. The LA Kings
beat the New Jersey Devil, shut them out three nothing.
So the Kings are on a roll.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
All right.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Let's get back to the major story going on in
New Orleans. We've been covering it all day here on KFI.
The suspect put out some YouTube videos, some videos on
YouTube before the incident, before the terrorist attack in New Orleans.
Let's find out more about the suspect and the odd
videos that he put out.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Property manager with Blue Metal Properties and team lead at
the Midas Group at Core Realty, I just want to
say hello and let you know a little bit about me.
So I'm born and raised.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
This is one of the videos that he put out.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
This is the video of the suspect, and so he
sounds upbeat. He's in the real estate, He's in the
real estate game, and this is his his voice. This
is his voice.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Property manager with Blue Metal Properties and team lead at
the Midas Group at Core Realty. I just want to
say hello and let you know a little bit about me.
So I'm born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, and now
live in Houston. And I've been here all my life,
with the exception of traveling for the military, where I
spent ten years as a human resources specialist and IT specialist,

(05:23):
where I learned the meaning of great service and what
it means to be responsive and take everything seriously, dotting
i's and crossing t's to make sure that things go
off without a hitch. So I've taken those skills and
applied them to my career as a real estate agent,
where I feel like what really sets me apart?

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Now this guy sounds all buttoned up. He sounds like
he enjoyed his time in the military, he's got a family,
he's got a career going.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
And then something snapped. Something snapped in this guy.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Where I feel like what really sets me apart from
other agents is my ability to be able to one
be a fierce negotiator. So not only do I brilliant
lead market your property to make sure it gets sold
as quickly as possible or it gets leased as quickly
as possible, but I'm also going to take every ounce
of energy and putting it into negotiating for you and

(06:11):
for your property to get the best deal that you
can possibly get for it. So once we get to
be dotted, all the tea's are going to be crossed.
Everything's going to go off without a hitch. And that
is my word that I'm given to you as your
real estate agent. So if that's the type of agent
you're looking for, reach out to me. You see my
phone number on the page. If not, it's eight three

(06:31):
two seven.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
All right, well we're not going to give out the
guy's phone number here.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
And even if you don't want to have me as
your agent, comea with any questions you may have. So
even if you're a first time home buyer or you're
an experienced real estate investor and you're just looking for
somebody to help you with doing some analysis on some
properties that you're looking at. Either way, give me a call.
I'm glad to help any time, and I'm looking forward
to talking to you.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
That guy sounds very level headed. He sounds like he's ambitious.
He sounds like he's caring about other people. At the
end there where he says, even if you don't use me,
or you already have an agent and you have questions,
call me. He's a typical military guy. Sounds like it
turns out he wasn't, but he sounds like a typical
military guy who's they're always willing to help people out.

(07:17):
Whenever I see and I see this all the time,
either home, Deeple or lows, I always see, you know,
guys that are home people on lows are I think
really exclusive to this, maybe Costco as well. But whenever
you see a woman or a guy struggling to put
stuff in their car, there's always three or four people

(07:38):
that stop what they're doing and help them out. And
a lot of the time those are military guys. You know,
you see them with a military haircut or wearing a
you know, a hat or a you know, some kind
of insignia or jacket you know that's you know, either
says Navy on it or Army or Air Force, Marines,
Coast Guard, National Guard, and and that's a sense of

(08:00):
always helping people out, and that's sort of instilled in
them in the armed forces. And this guy sounds like
he just snapped because that video, there was no indication
on that video that we just listened to that this
guy was out to murder people.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
None.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
Now I don't know how old this video is, but
that guy sounded like a neighbor you'd like to have.
And something happened. Something happened. And I don't think, and
I hate to say this, I think there are a
lot of people out there like that.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
A lot of people.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Thug Steckler used to say, my partner, one of the
smartest guys ever met in my life. He used to say,
the most dangerous people in this world are people with
nothing to lose. And there's a lot of people out
there with nothing to lose. We are more than a
trillion dollars in debt when it comes to credit cards,

(08:56):
and I understand there are lot of people this year
they were still paying off Christmas from last year and
bumping credit cards.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
I get that.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
I get that there are a lot of people out
there that are struggling financially. A lot of people out
there are struggling psychologically. It's a real sort of fine
line between telling your doctor or your family that you
need psychological help because it does change your life. Pilots,

(09:32):
I think, are in the most I guess, most difficult position.
Like if a pilot says, a commercial pilot, you know,
he flies straight United American Alaska Southwest, And if he
says to his boss he says, you know, I'm having
some psychological problems. I'm going to take a couple of
weeks off here, or maybe a month or two and

(09:52):
try to get this together. Well, guess what, He's not
going to fly anymore for that airline. So they hide
it and they bury it. And I think this guy
did the same thing. I don't know that's if that's
true or not just speculation, but I think.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
A lot of people.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
You bury your depression, you bury your anxiety, You put
on a smiley, happy face for your friends, your family,
your coworkers, and then one day you snap and everybody
says the same thing about you. I never saw it coming,
never saw it coming. He was the quiet guy, had

(10:29):
everything going for him, and then he snapped and it's
it is difficult. It's very difficult. And again it's a
much more, much bigger conversation. And I trace it back
to finances. When my mom and dad had kids, they

(10:50):
had their bills to pay. Everybody had their mortgage, everybody
had their insurance, and everybody had you know, I don't
know their water bill, electric bill. Now we have a
billion other bills. Now you got cable, Now you got streaming.
Now you got your Starbucks, Now you got your Amazon,
Now you got you know, your Costco. You got all

(11:10):
these other bills that you pay that don't seem like
a lot, but they add up. And everybody is broke.
Everybody is struggling, whether you believe it or not.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
You know, you don't. You don't think the guy next
door is struggling.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
He is.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
He's thinking about money all the time. He's thinking about
paying for college. He's thinking about paying for you know,
for you know, the kids go to private school. He's
thinking about how to pay for insurance. Car insurance is
going through the roof. Home insurance is going through the roof.
Renting is going through the roof. And everybody's broke. And
I think that that this, you know, looking at it

(11:50):
over a trillion one point two trillion dollars just in
credit card debt. As a nation, that is a tremendous
red flag because that pressure can eat you alive, can
eat you alive. And I think that's what happened with
this guy. I think he ran into There's rumors going
around that he had some problems with his family. He
was going to get his family together for a special

(12:11):
occasion and then murder all of them. He's going to
wipe them all out. They decide not to do that.
They decide to kill innocent victims. And so any of
the details coming out, we're going to have it for
you all night long. There's gonna be a lot more
information coming out on this guy, a lot, and we'll
have it for you right here on KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 5 (12:32):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Forty and as The Conway Show. We're live here until
seven o'clock. Moe Kelly is off tonight, Chris Merril will
be coming in and he will continue to tell you
about the four or five top stories they're.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Working here on KFI.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Number one is the New Orleans terrorist attack fifteen people
have been killed, thirty five injured at least.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
The second big story is the Vegas story.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
Come out of Vegas where a Tesla truck explodes in
front of Trump Tower. One person has died, seven people
are injured. We have an amber alert coming out of Inglewood.
The Rose Bowl has been completed and Ohio State is
moving on in the playoffs and Oregon is going back
to Rain Oregon forty one to twenty one, so sixty

(13:22):
two total points. If you bet the over, you got
a big smile. I don't know what the over under
on that game was. I guarantee you it wasn't sixty one,
So you win on that bet. And then also the
Sugar Bowl has been postponed till tomorrow one o'clock our time,
and a lot of people are going to watch that

(13:42):
Sugar Bowl, even people who are not interested in college
football at all, they're going to want to tune in
to see the tribute to the people tomorrow that have
been killed in this terrorist attack, and to see the
tremendous police force that will be there. You're going to
get local police, You're going to get the New Orleans police,

(14:04):
You're gonna get State County you're going to get the
FEDS there.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
The FBI will be there.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
I imagine some of the National Guard might even be
deployed to the area there is it's going to be
the safest place in America tomorrow. If you're going to
the Sugar Bowl tomorrow, you'll be in probably one of
the safest zones in America. And it'll be interesting to
see the tribute and how they frame this and how

(14:32):
the teams pay their respects before the game, the moment
of silence, the you know, that's what this country really
does well, is when tragedy happens, we all set aside,
whether we're Democrats, Republicans, Independents, whether we're black, white, Hispanic, Asian, whatever,
we all separate that we don't consider ourselves Catholic or

(14:56):
Jewish or Muslim.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
We just consider ourselves America.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
And it'll be a huge emotional moment before that game tomorrow.
So watch the Sugar Bowl tomorrow, Notre Dame versus Georgia,
and it'll be a very moving ceremony. We'll have that
audio for you if you miss it, we'll have it
for you live tomorrow at four o'clock because we'll be

(15:22):
on live tomorrow and Friday. We've decided to come in
early to get a fresh start for the first week
of the year, and we're on live all week long.
Our buddy was the was hosting the Rose Parade today,
Alex Michaelsion. That was kind of cool to see his

(15:43):
first time out. Did a fantastic job. Burbank, my hometown,
won the Animation Award for their float, So congratulations to everybody.
Put that sucker together. All right, the traffic out there,
it's not bad. We have a couple of incidents downtown
Los Angeles, the one oh one southbound towards downtown LA

(16:06):
and then the one ten and the one oh one
where they meet I think they call that the four level.
That's a mess, as it always is. A little bit
of traffic coming out of Santa Monica on the ten
Freeway east, the Rose Bowls surrounded by traffic. Not bad, Crozier,
you're going to skate home, yeah, except you're going to
run into a little bit of slowing on that turn
that nobody can navigate. And you know what I'm talking

(16:29):
about when you go into Arcadia and that two ten
freeway takes a big turn to the right and then
straightens out. Everybody always slows down there, yep.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Always.

Speaker 4 (16:40):
I don't get.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
Is this your first day in the car?

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Yes, and then that light rail zips by you in
the middle lane and you're screaming, screaming. They've reopened Colorado,
I believe, So that's open again. I think to traffic
the historic Route sixty six, they also call it East
Colorado Boulevard. And then there's it doesn't seem to be

(17:04):
any traffic coming back from Vegas if you're you know,
spent New Year's even Vegas. I'm looking at the drive
now and there doesn't seem to be any incidents at all,
not even slowing. You could probably make it back in
three hours from Vegas back into the into the Rancho Cuckamonga,

(17:24):
you know southern California area. There's a little bit of
slowing on again around the around the Rose Bowl, the
San Fernauta valleys wide open, from the twenty three all
the way to the four or five, the five, the seven,
the one, seventy all wide open. If you're buzzing out
to Lancaster, that is open. There was an incident earlier

(17:49):
that I think they've cleared up. The road was closed
there on the southbound fourteen, and I don't know if
they've reopened.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
That is Mike Morris with us? Is that's with ustun?
I think is Mike with us? Is Mike Morris with us?

Speaker 6 (18:03):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (18:03):
No, it's a Trey Alexander, Trey Alexander's tray with us.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Yeah, I'm here, hey, tray. So earlier there's an incident
on the fourteen. Is that correct?

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Yeah? Is that is that opened up yet?

Speaker 1 (18:13):
No?

Speaker 2 (18:13):
It's still there. It is, okay, but that's southbound. Right, well,
let me hold on, let me look.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Okay, three duty out guardy, I get.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
I get, I get a buddy, I get. It is southbound? Yeah, yeah, okay,
but that's the only that's tray.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
I was surprised how light traffic is in southern California today.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
It's not bad. They're just patches here and there.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
You're right, yeah, right around the Rose Bowl, which it
makes sense. But other than that, it's you know, in
downtown LA, which is always a mess, but it's nice.
Everyone stayed home and it's wide open. Yeah, yeah, it's
not bad at all, you know. Right, you got your
little patches in Santa Monica, a little bit in Hollywood,
which is normal and yeah, downtown. That's you see that
all the time. Excellent buddy, thanks for coming on. Yeah,

(18:59):
very good, all right, thank you. All right, we got
to take a break here. Moke Kelly is out tonight,
but Chris Merrill's in tonight. He'll take you from seven
o'clock until ten pm tonight with all the top details.
Any more information on the terrorist attack in New Orleans.
We'll we come back up to play some audio from
Las Vegas. There's some more information coming in about the

(19:19):
Tesla truck, the cyber truck that caught on fire outside
of the Trump Tower there, so we'll have that more
information on that. We've got an Amber alert. The Rose
Bowl is over and the Sugar Bowl has been postponed
until tomorrow. Lot's going on and we're covering it all.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Conway Show Live on New Year's Day. We've been here
all week, we'll continue to be here tomorrow and Friday.
We wanted to get a jump on the New Year,
and so we decided to work all week long. But
everyone else took the week off. We took the week
on more time on than time off big story man,
New Orleans. You've heard about by now, fifteen people killed,

(20:04):
at least fifteen thirty five people injured in a terrorist attack.
Forty two year old Jabbar's his last name, sped down
Bourbon Street.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
He had body armor.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
He fired an ar style rifle at cops after he
ran over dozens of people. He was killed, and the
shootout with the cops. It's a big story. There's they
suspect there's at least three or four accomplices that may
have planted bombs around New Orleans. So there's a lot
for the FBI to look at and a lot of

(20:39):
a lot of details that need to be filled him.

Speaker 7 (20:43):
My quake app just told me of one that just
hit about four point nine that just hit a little
bit of go in northern California.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Oh is that right?

Speaker 4 (20:53):
Yeah? Four point nine near clear Lake.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
God, this is not starting off to be Yeah, good
year four point nine and.

Speaker 7 (21:02):
Clear Lake, Yeah, south and clear Lake four point nine
is fairly big. Yeah, north of Santa Rosa, east of Yukaya.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Sounds like nobody lives there.

Speaker 4 (21:16):
That's just in the middle of nowhere.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Yeah, that is, thank god, in the middle of nowhere. Oh,
I'm looking at it right now.

Speaker 4 (21:21):
Yeah, it's north of San Francisco.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
The only problem with that quake, though, it is right
on top or now I shouldn't say right on top,
very close to the San Andreas fault within him fifty
seventy miles or so.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
There we go. So that's nice. Four point nine at
least initially.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
Yeah, four point nine. Croas is right, and so we
got to keep an eye on that as well. And
you know, we live here in southern California. Today's weather
was beautiful. It was spectacular. It was very foggy last night.
I don't think it was foggy out where you were croached,
but man, I couldn't see it across the street.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Not too bad.

Speaker 4 (22:00):
But the night before it was like thick.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Yeah, and it's one of those fogs where you turn
your brights on you can't see anything, you know, so
you shut them off.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
And it was it was like pea soup last night
in Burbank.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
So I'm looking at the Rose Bowl today and looking
at the Rose Parade, and the people from who don't
live in Los Angeles, they're looking at sixty five seventy degrees.
I don't know what the high was today. I should
look that up. But the high in the San Fernando
Valley today was very warm. I think it got up

(22:38):
to I think it got up to seventy five in
Burbank today. Tomorrow's gonna be seventy on third. I'm sorry,
today got up to seventy. Tomorrow in the San Fernando Valley,
there'll be some places that reach eighty degrees. It'll be
seventy six degrees in Burbank. Tomorrow would be the hotest
day of the week, easy. And then Sunday seventy five,
Monday seventy three, and next weekend, next Thursday and Friday

(23:03):
seventy eight and eighty seventy eight and eighty no sign
of rain to January. And yeah, in southern California. So
there are you know, fifty million people that watch that
parade or at least part of the parade and part
of the Rose Bowl, at least fifty million people, and
they all are seeing seventy degree weather. That's what they

(23:25):
see when they look at the parade and the and
the Rose Bowl. Well, not only are they looking at
beautiful weather, but there is a an arctic blast that's
coming towards the Midwest. That is going to be the
last nail in the coffin for a lot of people
that live in Minneapolis. Tomorrow it's going to be six

(23:49):
degrees the low in Minneapolis. On Friday, it'll be ah
degree one. The low in Minneapolis is one degree uh
degree one, just a single one, one single degree. On
Saturday warms up to two degrees. That's the low Sunday,

(24:09):
five degrees. And then come Tuesday of next week in
Minneapolis Saint Paul, the highest fourteen. The low minus one
minus one is the low in Minneapolis. Minus one, not

(24:30):
minus one, below freezing, minus one, below zero, minus one
in Minneapolis Saint Paul. And they're looking at the Rose
Bowl and the Rose Parade and they have had it.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
They've had it. As people get.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
Older, and people who are older have money, I have noticed,
as they get older and they have money, they are
going to say screw it to Minneapolis, Detroit, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Chicago,
and they're going to take their retirement money and they're
coming to Los Angeles. They'll deal with the crime and

(25:12):
the idiots that we all live around, and they're going
to buy a house or a condo here in southern
California or in Arizona, or in Texas or New Mexico.
But they are not going to tolerate this anymore. It's
going to be zero degrees and minus won next Tuesday,

(25:32):
minus uh degree. It's unbelievable. All right, let's get back
to our second major story. Here, we have some new audio.
The Las Vegas Police have thanked Elon Musk for providing
information on the cyberdrug or the cyber truck model. One
of those trucks caught on fire outside of Indiana of

(25:58):
Las Vegas at Trump Tower. So here's a little bit
of information on the Vegas fire outside of Trump Tower.

Speaker 8 (26:06):
Yes, actually I have to thank Elon Musk specifically, he
gave us quite a bit of additional information in regards
to how the vehicle was locked after it exploded due
to the force of the nature or the nature of
the force from the explosion, as well as being able
to capture all of the video from the tesla's charging

(26:27):
stations across the country, and they were sent He sent
that directly to us, So I appreciate his help on that.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Okay, they'll probably find that guy. It doesn't seem like
a bright chat. One person was killed in that instant.
All right, we have great news. Krozier, just great. Gave
me fantastic news and we needed this.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Croge. We have nothing but horrible news today.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
Hey, little silver lining.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Horrible but coming out of Inglewood. The California Highway Patrol
today deactivated an amber alert that had been issued an
hour earlier for a missing fourteen year old girl who
was allegedly a did in Inglewood. The subject has been located.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Quote.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
The subject has been located close quote ChB. CHP said
in an update on the on X shortly after five thirty,
so just about fifty minutes forty five minutes ago, fifty
minutes ago. No other details were immediately released. The alert
was initially sent out at round four to fifteen in

(27:25):
Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties. So the victim, Nevilla Holden,
has been was last seen at twelve thirty. She has
been found. So fantastic news. Fantastic news. This young lady
has been found. She's safe. That's the way the amber

(27:45):
alert is supposed to operate. The CHP, I believe, is
the agency that puts it out and that goes across
all the freeways. Everybody starts to open their eyes and
look for the car, look for the truck, look for
the van, and they found this young lady. She's alive,
she's well, she's safe. And that's what we needed. We

(28:07):
needed a little bit of good news today. We've been
working on a lot of really horrible stories and we
need a good news.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Thank god, that happened.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
All right, Well, we'll wrap it up here and hand
it over to Chris Merrill sitting in for Moe Kelly.
We'll wrap up the details of what happened in New Orleans.
We heard about the Las Vegas story just now sports Scores.
The Ohio State Buck guys were victorious in the Rose Bowl.
They'll move on in the playoffs. The Oregon Ducks five

(28:38):
free way back to Oregon. The thirteen and o season
came to an end today at the Rose Bowl. As
a matter of fact, it came to an end before
halftime at the Rose Bowl. And so they're a great teams,
the number one team in the nation, and they've been
eliminated by Ohio State. So even in Ohio, where it's
gonna be freezing, freezing cold this week, they're going to

(29:00):
be celebrating their victory over Oregon Ducks.

Speaker 5 (29:04):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
If there's any more any more information coming out of
Las Vegas. The cyber truck that caught fire and explode
outside of Trump Tower, that can't be a coincidence that
Elon Musks relationship with Donald Trump and then a cyber truck,
a testless cyber truck blows up right outside of Trump Tower,
killing one person. It's got to be something more there.

(29:32):
The amber alert that was issued earlier, that's over. They
found the young lady, so she's safe and back into
you know, family's arms or whoever you know.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
She's with.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Neveah Holden, congratulations, fourteen years old, five five hundred pounds.
Her nightmare is over. That's great news. The Rose Bowl
is over Ohio. The Ohio State buck guys beat the
organ and Ducks forty one to twenty one. And again,
if you had the over on that game, I can't

(30:06):
imagine it was sixty one, so you probably won that bet.
The Sugar Bowl was supposed to be going on right now.
We're supposed to be watching Notre Dame play Georgia. That's
been postponed because of the terrorist attack in New Orleans.
That'll happen tomorrow at one o'clock our time. You'll want
to tune in tomorrow to hear the tributes and to

(30:26):
watch the reaction of the people who attend that game,
because almost all the people who who are going to
attend that game were probably in and around New Orleans
when that terrorist attack happened early this morning at three fifteen.
So there's gonna be a lot of rattled people. They

(30:47):
will be comforted by thousands of law enforcement agents thousands.
There's gonna be bomb sniffing dogs. There's gonna be drug
sniffing dogs. There's going to be FBI, local cops, state
county sheriff, There'll be state cops there. They'll be maybe

(31:10):
National Guard. You're going to get federal troops there. You're
going to get Homeland Security people, people represent the federal government.
There is going to be a tremendous security at the
Sugar Bowl tomorrow when that kicks off one o'clock our time.
What do we know about this guy, this jabbar guy
who drove the car down, the truck down the street,

(31:31):
killing fifteen people injuring at least another thirty five. We
had Brian Gannon before and he was talking and about
all the details, and he followed it all day long.
He's been on the story all day long. Brian Danny's
the KFI national correspondent and he's been on the story

(31:53):
since early this morning. But let's find out if this
gentleman or this Jabbar's his last name, if if he
was alone, if he worked with accomplices, and will that
change how the FBI investigates this if they know there
are more suspects, are you know, what's the what's the

(32:16):
what's the next move? And or is this thing over?
Are they still actively looking? This is going to be
a lot of Federal Bureau of Investigation report of UH
agents in that area. I guarantee you they're flying from
all over the country right now, arriving in New Orleans,
from Washington, New York, maybe Los Angeles, maybe Dallas, Houston,

(32:41):
where this guy's from, and they are swarming New Orleans
right now. They're going to find out everything that that
they can about this guy and hopefully release it pretty quickly.
But let's go into if this investigation, if it involves
more people, more suspects, what does that look like to
night in New Orleans?

Speaker 6 (33:01):
But my point is not whether or not he acted alone,
but how does that change this investigation in your view,
and how it changes how the FBI approaches this if
they're looking at his possible connections.

Speaker 9 (33:13):
To others right, well, one thing that stood out in
that press conference is that the FBI said that he
acted along with a range of associates. We don't yet
know what that means, whether those associates are in the
country or in another country, or whether he encountered them online.
We just don't know yet. What we didn't see were

(33:36):
photos of those individuals or those associates where the FBI
would say, hey, if you know these people contact us
with any tips, like they did with the suspect here,
so more to come there. But they will definitely be
looking at his social footprint. You know, what was he
looking at online, what was he googling? What YouTube videos
might have he been looking at. You know, we all

(33:57):
have a social footprint and they will be taking a
look at that to see if he was self radicalized
in some way by by by something, and whether or
not others saw this happening, friends, families, family members, or
coworkers that saw some sort of change in him, that
led him to conduct this attack. But you know, the

(34:20):
FBI did deem this an act of terrorism, and that
that doesn't necessarily mean any foreign influence. It just means
that this individual had the intent to create harm, maybe death,
to cause public panic, or to coerce the government in
some way. There's just more to come about this, and

(34:43):
I imagine we'll be learning more in the coming days, all.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Right, So that's what we know. There's gonna again this.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
These cops and the FBI are working late into the evening.
Still the whole area is closed down. There's a lot
of people who are in Louisiana and in New Orleans
and they've come in to see Georgia play Notre Dame.
That game was supposed to happen right now, and there
are hundreds of thousands of people, or I should say

(35:15):
probably have one hundred thousand people who are in the
area to see the game, to enjoy themselves, to go
out all night tonight after the New Orleans after the
Notre Dame game was done, because the game was postponed,
and because all the a lot of the bars and
restaurants are closed. There's an eerie feeling right now in
New Orleans. Where people are cooped up in their in

(35:37):
their rooms, in their hotel rooms, their airbnbs maybe they
have rented, and it's a it's a real different vibe,
a real different vibe tonight.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Because of this guy. And that's what terrorists do.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
They terrorize us and they try to make us change
our behavior, and we're not going to do it.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
We're not gonna do it.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
That game will go off tomorrow, hopefully without you know,
any kind of incident, and we'll be watching on TV.
But you'll want to watch tomorrow the opening of that game,
the run up to that game, to see the tribute
to the people who have been killed, to see the
you know, the compassion that the NCAA is obviously going

(36:16):
to put on the right before the game, the reaction
of the players on both Notre Dame and Georgia, the
fans reaction in the seats.

Speaker 2 (36:26):
It's going to be very moving.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
So tomorrow it's going to be the Sugar Bowl Tomorrow,
make sure you watch the beginning of it. If you
miss it, we'll have the audio here at four pm.
All right, Chris Merril live in before mo Kelly. He's
off and Chris Meryll take you till ten o'clock tonight
with all the details on this horrible, horrible incident, this
terrorist attack that happened early this morning in New Orleans.

(36:51):
