Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's k IF.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
I am six forty and you're listening to the Conway
Show on demand on the iHeart Radio app. But Alex
Michaelson is in studio. I think for the first time
hung with you.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Yes, yes, your first time in studio, first time in
studio only?

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Is that right? It's right? And I've known you for
twenty years, at least twenty years. Yeah, and you've never
come by or we've never invited you something like that
were like the.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Second, but you would think you would have invited myself
to this one.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Okay, look, we love having you. Yeah. And you're much
taller in person. You're like six ' six about that. Yeah.
And do you fight a lot? And you look like
you could fight people.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
That's usually my m o. Just big throwing punches.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Do you play basketball?

Speaker 1 (00:45):
I did at Agora High School? Any good shout out?

Speaker 2 (00:48):
It is okay? You were just okay? Did you start?
I did? I was the captain. Oh you went?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Wait so that that's a good deal. Did you play
for USC No?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Make that? Did you try out? No? I did? That's
Did you did you lack confidence because your dad didn't
support you?

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Is that what you said? I think I lacked confidence
as a Jew. For a lot of Jews on the basketball.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Teach keep forgetting your Jewish. I never I never put
two and two together. Yeah, yeah, what's Jewish? Mom or dad? Both?

Speaker 1 (01:19):
I did that twenty three and me thing told me
that I was ninety nine percent Ashkenazi Jew. It's like,
why do I need a DNA test to tell me this?

Speaker 2 (01:27):
What's the other one percent? I don't know. It was
like other.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
It's literally what it said other, but that that's a
real Jew. It's a real Jew.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
I mean, that's like like Larry David Jew. I know.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
That's why about it? Pretty pretty good? Pretty pretty good.
You have just coming back from Washington, d C. With
the inauguration with your Maga hat, your shirt and all
that stuff. You didn't wear it today though it made
it a lot easier to get around there. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Now it's very in style. There is a different vibe
there now, Oh.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
My god, it's an entirely vibe. So in twenty seventeen,
I was there covering the Trump inauguration the first time around,
and there were five hundred thousand protesters from the Women's March.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
In twenty twenty five, I went to the Women's March.
There were literally maybe two thousand protesters.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Is that right?

Speaker 1 (02:19):
So talk about a drop off, Yeah, where they always crazy,
I don't know, that's wild man. So I mean it
was a totally different thing back then. Even on the
inauguration day there was a lot of acrimony, protesters in
the streets everywhere you went, a lot of people were
very upset. This time it was just total party, total
Trump domination. And it feels like also that we're seeing

(02:42):
a real cultural shift for the whole country. That what
we're starting to see with some of this DEI stuff
and immigration and the rest of it, Like the country
is moving in a different direction, which is not what
we saw during the first Trump administration, which was all
about conflict and resistance, and it seems like now the
resistance is kind of futile.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Yeah. I think the first administration, he didn't know what
he was doing. You never run a country before, and
hired guys that were loyal to the government. Now he's
hiring guys that are loyal to.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Him exactly, and you're seeing a huge change in that.
And I think his takeaway from the first time around
was we didn't do enough. So it's like let's go harder.
And a lot of the people that are around him,
especially on the issue of immigration, have been thinking about
this issue for so many years and are finally now
being able to do everything that they want. So, whether

(03:31):
you think it's a good thing or a bad thing,
and I know there's listeners that see it both directions,
they're taking real action on that issue and you're seeing
real changes. I mean as quickly as you possibly could imagine.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Alex Michaelson's with us from KTTV Channel eleven, Fox Local
here in Los Angeles. I think the whole immigration over
the last ten years or six seven years, I think
the whole vibe of this country changed. When I believe
he's your buddy illusion he went down to the border
and showed everybody what was going on down there, and

(04:04):
he was.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Like the only national reporter there day after day after
day at the border showing what was happening. Uh. And
I think that those pictures did really change the national debate.
I think they did because people saw it, and certainly
you know people on Fox, the number one network. It
became the number one issue for so many Republican voters

(04:25):
and shape the debate. And now Bill's been out reporting
with a lot of these ice folks who are doing
these raids. And I think the big question going forward
is are we going to see the Trump administration stick
to violent criminals, going after violent criminals, which most people
get behind, or are they going to start going after

(04:45):
you know, grandma at church, which most people don't.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Right right, And And we'll see, we'll see, we'll see
if it's up to that. Tom Horman is that the
guy's name or Holman? Holman? I think he'd throw me out.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Yeah, he doesn't scream compassion.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Not a hugger, I don't think. Yeah, I think because
I'm a Catholic, I'm out.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Ye.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
And then you and Bellio were gone. Yeah, you know
it's gonna be nine guys left after this guy's done.
But Washington, DC? Do they put you up a nice place?

Speaker 1 (05:15):
It was? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:16):
It was good. I saw places right in near the
Capitol going for four grand a night. Yeah, I mean
it was expensive. Yeah, people with money go to these things.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Clearly if you look at those balls, you know there
were fourteen thousand people that went to one of the balls.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Did you go to any of the balls?

Speaker 3 (05:33):
No?

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Din And I was working the hard thing with the
East coast with the time zone change is doing live
shots for our ten o'clock news is one o'clock in
the morning. There you don't get finished till after two
o'clock in the morning.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
I don't like balls, Well I don't. Are you imagine
you at a ball?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I'm not a balls guy? But what But why do
they still call him that? By the way, I don't know.
Maybe people like it. I mean there were fortunately there
were three of them. Yeah, but what if it was
one of them got wiped out and they got canceled
then for the the whole week.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Hey, are you going to the two balls? Yeah, it
would have been. Oh, they should change the name of it. Yeah,
I mean, if there's only one a party, there's only
one ball, that'd be more of a problem.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
That's right, that's right. But but it they should change
it to just a party. You know, that's what it is.
It is.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
It's a party that you have to spend a lot.
My god, was that right? Oh? That's all these donations.
The whole thing is one giant money grab. I mean
you think about all those companies that were donating a
million dollars to the inauguration and then the inauguration got
moved inside, so they didn't even get a ticket for that.
You imagine spending a million dollars and you get literally nothing.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
And you know who I heard was pissed. Not only
there were some people obviously in the in the capital
there in the in the in the dome, that's where
all the A listers were, and then the B listers
were out in an auxiliary room. But some of the
B listers were billionaires and they were pissed. I'm sure
they were. You know, there was over a trillion dollars
worth of wealth in that capital.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
I mean, it was crazy because Joe Biden had just
complained about this idea of an oligarchy run by big
Tech and a lot of the republic. What are you
talking about oligarchy? And then at the event is all
of the richest men in the world, who are all
from big Tech in the front row.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
That's right. And during the last administration, all of the
guys in big Tech were on Biden's side.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
They seemed to It's almost like they just are focused
on helping themselves.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
They look they switch with the wind.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Yeah, I mean, hard to you hand about an oligarchy
when you're giving George Soros the Presidential Medal of Freedom too.
I mean, that doesn't exactly scream man of the People.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
I gotta thank your mom. She whenever I went on
the issue. Is she baked for you know, at Bake
Goods and you brought some in. She's one of the
great bakers of all time.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
She is, and she's listening, Crystial Michaelson shout out.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
But why wouldn't you be a good son and throw
some of your Fox money at opening up a bakery
and getting her some busy time away from dad. What's
going on?

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Well, her real passion is not baking. Her real passion
is artwork. She's a fantastic artist. That's what she really loves.
Crystal Michaels and art if anybody wants to check it
out on Instagram or Crystal Michaelson.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
And your mom looks young.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
She looks great, doesn't she. I mean she does, yeah,
and she looks like she's in her forties. Sure, why
are you shaking your head now? I think she's great.
She really thinks right right? Can you stay with us?
That's the whole reason I came here.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
But the reason you are here is because Eventually, when
you get tired of doing TV and tired of people
telling you what to do, you want to get into
radio where your own boss. I don't know about that.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
I'm here because Sharon had gradually said that she wanted
me to check this place out, and I've wanted to
do this for a while.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
But it's weird because I was texting you last night
and I was excited for you coming on. Then you said,
what's your address? I'm like, wait a minute, this guy's
never been here before. Is that wild?

Speaker 1 (08:53):
I mean, it was many years ago. I think I
was at ABC the last time I was here. It
must have been ten years ago. Oh that's crazy. All right, Well,
stay with us. We're going to talk about news. Talk
about the fires. You guys were on for twelve hours
a day, or you were on for twelve.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Hours a day at least some days more sometimes what
fifteen sixteen hours? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:10):
And without commercials, right, I mean, that is a it's
a big deal, especially almost talked as much as you well,
especially having friends and families homes burned while you're on
live TV and they're watching it on Fox.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
It's traumatic. It was a traumatic experience. It really is horrible.
All right, welcome back. We'll talk more with Alex Michaelson.
His mom is a great baker. The artwork the baking.
The baking is bringing you a painting next time. Baking
is great. I've not seen you.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
I'm not an art connoisseur. I don't know anything about it. You
would strike me as an art connoisseur. I would think
that you're an art history major. You've got that vibe.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
It is The Conway Show Monday through Friday, four to
seven pm. They told me to Alex. Michael said, as well,
it's how you bob.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Being done with you.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
That's great. And back on the the what is the
mother ship the big Fox News? Yeah, and that's the
one with let me see if I can get the lineup. Okay,
do you know the lineup? I somewhat Okay. It starts
with the five. Well, I guess what time? Actually it
starts with Foxing. Well, it starts yeah, okay, let's say
the Okay, let's see the five. And then after that,

(10:29):
after the five, it's Brett bar that's it. And then
after Brett Bear is don't tell me, don't tell me,
it's Hey, it's the blonde woman who is the ingram? Yes, yes, yes,
And then after that it's Jesse Waters. And then after

(10:50):
Jesse Waters, I believe is Sean Hannity that's it. And
then after Hannity, I think it goes to I don't
don't give me his don't give his name, Greg Gottfelt
late that show, Yeah, Greg Gottfelt, uh huh. And then
Trace Gallagher, Trace Callagher who never had a national show,
now he's he broadcasts from out here.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
It's done in la which I'm on that show a
lot now.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Yeah. And Tucker Carlson used to say that Trace Gallagher
was the most talented guy in the station. There you go.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
Yeah, I guess they listened to him on something. I guess, so, yeah,
I keeping him.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
He's gone. And you talk of you going on the
Big FONX No. I don't think. No, not to me,
because you're too liberal for them. I don't know, is
that right? No? Are you more Are you more comfortable
going on Mark Thompson's show? You know what I do?

Speaker 1 (11:35):
I do all the shows, honestly, I do. I think
there's a lot of value in that I go on
shows that are very liberal. I go on shows that
are very concerned. That's right, and you have guests on
that are very liberal and very concerned. I don't think
there's enough people doing that. So that's part of the voyage.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
That's right, that's right, and you learned from the best
from Tim Tim McGraw.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Is that his name, Tim McGraw, Yeah, that's my that's
my mentor h that's right, Tim Alan, Tim Russer, Tim Russer,
There you go. Tim Ruster was one of my favorite
improvement man.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
When Tim russ had you know, when he would he
would have I think I think the Clintons killed him.
But when he would have would say when he had
Hillary Clinton on, he would really grill her.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
He grilled everybody, right, But she didn't like that he
was an equal opportunity griller.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
She didn't like that.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Most people don't, but that that was a different media
environment because people had to go sit there and do
that because that show was so big and so important
and they didn't have their own social media channel, so
they had to sit there and take the grilling. Now,
people if they're uncomfortable, they just don't show up and
they have their own ways to go around it, which
is not necessarily great.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
The CBS Morning or or Sunday show Meet the Press
and then George Stephanopolis on Sunday are beyond horrible. They're
they're the most the worst three shows on TV. It's
the same crap every single week. You know, Republicans or
a holes, they're rapists, they're racist, they're Hitler, and then

(12:59):
the demok or you know, Saving the Planet.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
I think those shows could use a little freshening up.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
They could, yes, and and you know, you don't have
to do those shows anymore with social media. That's part
of the problem. Or you can go on Joe Rogan
and get ten times the audience has and all those
three shows.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Combined and have a lot longer conversation and not be
pushed as hard.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Right, and also and not have to worry about commercials
or language. Right. I don't know how they compete.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
That's the challenge is how do you create something that's
interesting and newsworthy and also multi platform, because that's part
of what I think about for the issue is is
TV is an aspect of it, but a big aspect
of it is creating a social media product that's going
to be interesting and relevant for people.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
I like when you come on on Fridays. You're a
good sport. You know, a lot of people would have
failed on us. But why you know, because we're just
you know, we're rude to you and you are inconsistent.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Well, the most fun part of coming on is that
half of what you say is not true, and I
try to figure out what is and what isn't and
so it's really like a mental exercise that I try
to go through. And I don't know if the audience
always realizes that, right. Are they giving you pressure about that?
I heard when you were doing a promo with John

(14:10):
Cobalt earlier promoting me coming on, and you said that
I was fired from Fox and they made you clear
that up.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
A lawyer made it clear that up. Yeah, there's a
lawyer staying outside again. He dips, he goes take you
clear it up? So we have to write a letter.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Okay, doesn't the audience know a lot about half of
what you say is fake news? We have to compete. Yeah,
but at least I admit it's fake news. You know,
CNN doesn't admit it's fake That's part of the problem. Yeah,
but you know what your buddy building illusion.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
You know him pretty well, very well, Okay, when he
went to the border and started, you know, throwing video
around and audio around, what's really going on the border? CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC,
they all were forced to put a person on the
border eventually, because everybody was stealing.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
It took a while, though, I mean he was out
there by himself for months and per year, I think
a year and a half. And then they and then
they said, wait a minute.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
Fox is getting all these viewers because people want to
know what's going on the border. We got to put
our guy down there or a gal down there.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
And they eventually put somebody, but it didn't they didn't
do as good a job, right.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
I heard you on with Mark Thompson and the two
of you on this show or Mark on Mark show? Okay,
And don't tell him, but I had to unsubscribe to
his show, did you Why? Because once you subscribe to
a show, you get all kinds of left wing craziness
in your feed. Yeah, and that's not what you're looking for.
I'm not into it, No, not into it, okay, So

(15:35):
but don't tell them I unsubscribed we won't tell, don't
it would break his heart. The very quiet, very emotional man,
right for emotional man. So I heard you on with
him talking about you know, Trump is at thirty six percent,
he's never gave more than that. He's not gonna win
another election, and you guys were both wrong. Did I
say that? How did that happen? Did I say that?
That's right?

Speaker 1 (15:54):
I don't remember if I said that. That could be
something you're making up. Okay, I'm gonna play the audio.
How did I'll find it? How did it happen? It
is the greatest comeback in the history of politics.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
It really is.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
It is unbelievable if you really think about it, right,
that this guy that they tried to impeach him twice,
they tried to kill him, they tried to arrest the
ninety one criminal accounts. They you know, the Bushes, the Clintons,
the Obamas, the Bidens, Kamala Harris, they all ran again,
Brondo Santas, Nikki Hey, they all ran against him. His
own party ran against him. His own party ran against

(16:24):
him twice. And he's still won and has gotten stronger
because of all of that and all of their opposition
to him. Makes his supporters like him more. He's never
been more powerful and more popular.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
You remember that guy, the older guy who said the
keys to the White House of thirteen keys, Alan lickt Allen.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Can we not? Can we not mention that name ever again?
Did you ever have him on the Okay? I did
not find him to be very appealing.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
We agree on that. Agree. Yeah, maybe one.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Of the keys of that election is no more Alan Lickman.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
But I will say this, he had his son on
on for six or seven hours during the election night.
And his son, you know, I don't know whether he
believes his dad's goofy noess or not, but that's a
very loyal son to his dad. I give him a
lot of respect for them. You know, we love good sons. Yeah,
he went on and he said, Dad, you know, I'll
help you do this. I'll help you put the show together.
And he and he and he, you know, he made

(17:19):
his dad relevant. So if his son is listening to
the podcast, whatever, I think you're a terrific guy and
a great son to that father of Yours. Father's a
little off, but the son's great. All Right, we're live.
You can stay with this, Alex. We'll play the little audio.
We do that here as well. That's how the radio works. Yeah,
and then we got the quick thirty seconds of quick

(17:40):
questions for you. Is that what you do at the
end of your shows?

Speaker 1 (17:43):
Issue?

Speaker 2 (17:43):
What is it called? Personal issues? Personal issues?

Speaker 1 (17:46):
I could do it to you too, all r Yeah,
we'll hit each other.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
With personal issues. Okay, all right, we'll start about it.
Aren't that personal. We'll start with you leaving ABC going
to Fox. Okay, I want to running up that flagpole.
That's right.

Speaker 3 (17:58):
You're listening to Tim's on Way Junior on demand from
KFI AM six forty.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
I would take the Conway crew out for really nice dinner?

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Is that right? Who? Thank you?

Speaker 1 (19:09):
Everybody here has been so good to me over I
hope you win? Yeah, because hunger.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
What would you do? I would take certain members of
the crew.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
Who doesn't get the invite. Thanks Tony.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
I don't know. We'll have fun, right Timmy. One of
them is already spoken, all right. No, I believe is
the best. I bring in all kinds of stuff for
the crew. Jale expired stuff you didn't like? Okay, that
happened one. What's the best gift you've ever gotten the crew?
I think Christmas? I load him up pretty good at

(19:48):
Christmas but you know, there was I don't remember who
said this, but there was a guy on sports radio.
What's the guys on Fox Sports Radio on weekends. I
can't remember their names, but the guys gave his board
op a gift basket and in the gift basket was
like a you know, sausage, you know, maple syrup and

(20:09):
pancake mix. And the guy goes, great, I get twelve
dollars worth of crap and you get the hammer of
me for the rest of a year. All right, Fox
eleven News, you guys covered those fires beautifully. He had
used that term, but you did. You were on the
air a long time. I think you were on the

(20:29):
air for five or six straight days without a commercial. Yes,
that's a long time without making any money. It was
a great service.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
It's a public service. It's a great service to the country.
And thanks to the bosses for doing that. I mean,
it's who are the bosses? Who are there? Lachlan Murdoch
is the owner of the company, and he was texting
me during our cup.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
No way, is that right?

Speaker 1 (20:51):
He was watching it first from Sydney and then he
flew back. He always came into our control room and
that's his kid, right, Lachlan is is ruper son. Yeah,
and he was Telachlan is the now the president of
the company.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
Right. But he was texting you personally. Yeah, and that
had never happened before. That's great. Yeah, I got to
get some texts like that was reassuring. Yeah. But but
he was great.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
And they donated significant amount of money to the American
Red Cross, and he was really Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
But you know people who live in that area.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
I do. I know a lot of people that live
in that area. I unfortunately had the experience of some
of my friends' homes burned while we were live on
the air, and they watched it, and they're texting me
watching their homes burn and businesses too.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Did you know it was their home when you were walking. Yes,
they're texting me that's my own.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
God and places, some of them are places that I
had been to.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
That's the worst, I mean, the absolute worst. I drove.
I was at the racetrack on Sunday raining. It was great.
It was you know, pouring, and everyone was losing. It
was awesome. And and I said, Okay, I'm going to
drive back through Alta Dina. I want to see firsthand
because they say, once you see it firsthand, you're you'll
never be the same, You'll never talk about the same.

(22:03):
So I'm driving throughout the day, I don't see anything.
I don't see anything. I don't see anything to go
up in the hills, I don't see anything. I'm like,
I can't find where this place burned. And then I
make a turn and it looked like hell. It looked
like hell. The people out there, you know, out there
in front of their house, you know, crying and sobbing
and having to sift through crap and move stuff around.

(22:24):
It looked like I've never seen anything like that in
my life. I mean, you know what, I think everybody
should should take a drive either to Palisades, Malibu, Alta, whatever,
and not bother anybody. Don't stop and ask questions, but
just to see the devastation, to get a first hand
vibe of what these people are right now. Most of
those areas are not open. Well, they were yesterday. They

(22:47):
were on Sunday. You know, their National Guard was on
almost every street, but they weren't blocking anybody until six
pm when the sun went down. That's when they started
blocking people. Yeah, but it was horrible. It is beyond horrible.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yeah, And you know, I know some people have pushed
back on mayor Bath, suggesting that they could be toxic sites,
and we can have a whole discussion about how you
get people back into there. But I think there's got
to be a lot of toxic stuff coming out of
them too, that that isn't something to be concerned about.

Speaker 2 (23:16):
I bet there is a lot of toxic sites. But
if it took two years off your life and you
got your house back quicker, I think people would would
make that gamble.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Yeah. I'm not suggesting that we shouldn't let people back.
I'm just saying that's something to be that we should
consider and try to figure out a way to have
people do it in a safe way too.

Speaker 2 (23:35):
And we've never all done We've never gone through this
as a as a society. You know, we don't know,
we don't know what to do.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
No, although we saw in nine to eleven, you know
that that rubble turned out to be very toxic and
a lot of those people got cancer and died.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
That's right, Yeah, but those people were literally I mean
that building was burning for two months. Yeah, and that
was you know, beyond horrible, all right, When we come back.
I know you're a big sports fan, love sports. You
know you loved you watch the games over the weekend.
Of course, are you in agreement with me that the
NFL has got to stop using that term tush push, They've.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
Got to stop doing as a jew once again, we're
gonna stick on the jew thing.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
It's kind of great. Well that's a Jewish thing? Is
Yiddish word? I didn't know that. Yeah, is push Jewish? No? Okay,
all right, so just the tush? Yeah? All right, very good.
All right, we'll come back with some more. We've got
some news to get into. Let's do it, and maybe
you want to stick around. Okay, And you're also on
TMZ tonight. Well that already aired, right, but you were

(24:37):
on I was on and what do you You co
hosted with Harvey Levin. Harvey was off today, so I
filled in for Harvey with Charles. Okay, all right, And
who'd you bust balls? What actors? Actresses? Did you go
after it? Selena gometz Oh for crying? Did you get
her pretty good? I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
No, I didn't hit her, but it was just explaining
the context of what was happening in terms of the raid.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Did they make fun of her on that show?

Speaker 1 (25:00):
They didn't make fun of her. No, they did, just explain.
They also cry, explain the background of what's happening. Oh,
how it may be different than what the story she's
putting out. Oh really, well, I mean you think about
the immigration raids right now, are not uh, you know, kids,
it's it's all she's saying, criminals. She says she's concerned

(25:21):
about kids, and and that could get to that point.
And so you understand that, but it's Telena Gomes ended
up having to delete the post because oh she deleted it.
She deleted then she put out another post saying and
then she deleted a second parry.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
We'll come back. We'll go into this because this is
this is crazy. All right, Alex Michaelson's with us. We'll
talk about the Selena Gomez post. That was the big
story on TMZ. Is one of them? Yeah, all right?
What was the other one?

Speaker 1 (25:43):
You got the Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively, you got all
sorts of Okay, we're gonna.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
Do a mini TMZ looking back.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from kf
I AM six forty have.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
You ever seen the movie Right Worse Jamie Foxx and
the Oscar for that's one of the best scenes in
the movie. Yeah, when the guy's manager comes and goes, hey,
we got to change you know, you're you're not cutting
it for us here.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
And I love the way that he would hold the
women's wrists to get a sense of how attractive they were.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I do that. I
do that.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
I like to It's what are your moves when you're
messing around?

Speaker 2 (26:21):
That's right? Yeah, when I mess around. Hey, you've been
You've interviewed a lot of people. Yes, I've heard this
of sports people that one of the best interviews out there.
Guy that's always nice, always cordial. You can ask them
tough questions. You can ask him anything you want about
his life and he never gets pissed. He always gives

(26:42):
you straight answers and still enjoys life. Is magic. Johnson
the greatest, the ultimate? Is that true?

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Yeah, he's I think he's tough to get to sit
down to do an interview, but if he does, he's
he's the best. Can you think of anybody who is
more iconic in terms of la He changed my life
and Magic Johnson.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
No, he changed my life.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
I mean his his history and the way and how
he's been successful in every facet of his life, from
college basketball to pro basketball player to what he's done
in terms of business for the black community, specifically entrepreneurship
now ownership. Look at all the championships he's won as
an owner now. I mean he's won with the Dodgers,
the Lakers, the Sparks, the LAFC. He almost just won

(27:28):
with the Commanders. Now he's got a stake of that
team too. I mean, it is incredible. Magic Johnson's impact
and what he's done. I mean, I think he's one
of the most beloved and most important Angelinos in the
last thirty forty years.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
I think you're right, Alex Michaelson's whether it's from Fox
eleven News, who are your friends in the news business?
You hang out with Colleen Williams or Fred Rogan, Fritz Coleman,
Mark Brown, I like.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
All those people, you know, those are people when I
first interned, My first internship was at Good Day LA
when I was seventeen, and then and then I spent
two years interning at KNBC with Colleen Williams and Fritz Coleman,
and I like Colleen Williams. Is I mean she talk
about class right, Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I don't
think she'll ever go away, let's hope not. She's like

(28:16):
the last man standing there. You think about that team
that was so iconic and was together for so many years,
she's the only one left. Yeah. You had Fritz Fred Yeah,
and and basically Paul Moyer and Chuck Henry and Chuck
Henry and they're all gone.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
I like everybody over there. I like the CB. I'm
a big local news junkie. I record everything, I watch everything,
and I think that the Box eleven is the best box. Right. Yeah,
Fox Love is great, But I think TV news brings
us all together because we all share it in the
same joy when there's a championship or the same you know,

(28:56):
emotions when there's fires and earthquakes.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
And I think we really saw that, especially with the fires.
I mean, the ratings were up like ten times.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
I bet they usually are because and you've got this
sense of community which you get from local that you
don't get from them.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
That's right, that's right. We don't like to talk about
our ratings during disasters, but I guess you're comfortable withn't.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
We didn't make any money from it.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
It wasn't.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
I mean, it doesn't do us any good. It was
just an indication that people were tuned in.

Speaker 2 (29:23):
That's right. Over the weekend, I was at a retirement party.
My I don't know how I'm related to Karen Beatty
step sister once removed. Okay, and I've known my whole life.
She had a retiring party. And she's a she's a
nurse and and a fireman and a cop all in one.

(29:43):
She does she's in charge of the trauma unit up
and inventor. She's saved countless lives and she's going to retire.
And I thought, you know, because she's related to me,
it's going to be five people in a bar with
cigarettes and and you know, and a retirement cake. It
was at the Marriott, and there were like two hundred

(30:05):
people there. Wow. And that at the end of a career,
when you have two hundred people show up. The only
way you get two hundred people to show up at
the end of your career is if you're good at
what you're doing, you're honest, and you have a sense
of humor. Yeah, and then people show.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
Up for you, and based off of what you said,
she's done, she should be celebrated that way, and she was.
We as a society should be celebrating people like her
more than some of the people that we celebrate.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
That's right, that's right. And there are a lot of
nurses up there, a lot of doctors, a lot of
you know, firemen and cops, and they were celebrating this
woman's life who gave so much back to society. So,
Karen Beattie, if you're listening, congratulation Karen ding Dong with
ding Dong with you. All right, So Fox eleven News,
you're gonna do the issue is this week? We are

(30:51):
and that's going like Gangbusters. It's going.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Well, you helped launch that show, that's right. Yeah, and
we talked about that show all the time. Yeah, thank you.
Who's on this week? Anybody don't know yet?

Speaker 2 (31:03):
Do they let you do what you want over there?
To do what we want? Yeah? They never say, hey,
don't have this person on, or you have this guy on. No,
they don't do any of that. We have.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
You know, I'm doing a conference at USC on Thursday.
I'm helping to host with James Carville, So I'm hoping
to get him on the issue is I think he's
a fascinating person because he's so comfortable challenging everybody and
that's great TV. Yeah, he's terrific. He's he uses the
F word too much for TV. Well, we can bleep it.
It's not you know, we're taping it, so okay.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
All right, that's cool now. But you never answered that
question who are you friends with off the air? Like?
What are these anchors and reporters more friends of the
people are Patrick Heely? Are you hanging out with Patrick Heely?

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Patrick Keeley is a nice guy. I mean, Patrick's probably
forty years older than me. Do you know who his
dad was? Of course, Jim Heally, Jim Heliums. But it's
at in Washington, right.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
He did sports radio out here in La. Thanks for
knowing who he was, and he did he had all
the drops, you know, he would do the Pete Rose
song and all the drops. You don't get to the
point in Jim he was the greatest. He was the
absolute best.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
But I'm closer with a lot of the people that
I work with at my station.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
I see and who are those people? Oh?

Speaker 1 (32:12):
We have Christine de Vine and mar La te Who
do you hang out with off the air?

Speaker 2 (32:15):
I mean, do you see any of these people are
just on the arms?

Speaker 1 (32:18):
I mean Bill Mlusian is a good friend of mine.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Is that right? Yeah? And when he comes over, do
you guys just talk about the border all night? It's
all we talk about. It's just border politics. Honestly.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
Oftentimes he does, and I'm like, let's change this up.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
Is that right?

Speaker 1 (32:33):
He wants to get into the road drinking and you're
hearing about border policy and ice raids, and it's like, Bill,
let's see, let's move on.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
That's great.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
The hot woman in front of you. All right, we
normally do news. Do you want to stay for the
six pm hour and do news?

Speaker 2 (32:47):
Sure? Okay, all right, Alex Michaelsons. I'm gonna give you
an idea what's going to go on here. Starbucks is
bringing back something, the snow and the grapevine. It's like
mad libs. Yeah, right, police pursuits, the new chase technology,
we'll go over that, the Palisades recovery, newsom providing help
to victims, the mud slide, the iPhone saves skiers. We've

(33:09):
got a lot of stories, okay, and we're gonna do
them all with you, Okay, you'll add your two cents, okay,
and then you know, and then you'll.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
Fake laugh at crap. I say I've gotten good at that.
That's right, all right? Relyve on KFI.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
