Michael Monks is in studio to discuss how LA will avoid laying off city workers this year, after Mayor Karen Bass negotiated deals with employee unions. The number of potential layoffs was more than 1,600 workers, amid a $1-billion budget shortfall. Local officials have a proposal to place public restrooms on the Runyon Canyon hiking trail, which are set to cost a whopping $1 million for two toilets!
