Voice of the Villagers
July 15, 2015•3 min
Dr. Wayne Dyer once spoke of a remote village that uses a unique form of discipline. When one of their citizens commits an offense, rather than impose punishment, they place the individual in the center of town. One by one the villagers approach the offender. Instead of reprimands they pay homage to him. He stays seated until all residents have approached him. At the conclusion of his “sentence” he is set free. Having had praise bestowed upon him, he experiences a transformation of heart.
