By 2020 there will be 1.4 million computer science jobs available in the USA. But still only 26% of women make up the computing workforce. Thanks to the not-for-profit Women Who Code, more women around the world are receiving free training, mentoring and networking opportunities through more than 2000 events held each year. Elizabeth Ferrao, cofounder of Women Who Code New York, discusses why learning computer code is essential for women in business and that its easier to learn than Spanish.
