my son was stationed in Germany and my daughter hers
my son in law.

My daughter absolutely loved Germany, never wanted to come back
to the States ever, and my son not so much.

cool stuff. But she also lived on base. Okay, that's
not Germany, that's America. In Germany, my son hated living

I live in Florida and the States and they are
the worst drivers in the Verity.

Biggest pet peeves is, you know we have the same
law as you stay right past left when you're driving. Yeah,
nobody fucking does it. The slowest people are always in
the fast lane. You flash your brights down and they

because they would have got Oh my god, yelled a lot. Yeah,
it blew my mind.

fast lane passing me by like I was standing still.

Another one of my most scary experiences is when I
was driving from Czech Republic into Germany over that bridge

like the wind was so strong, and I'm like, I'm
not doing that bridge again.

But I do love Berlin. It's like one of my
favorite cities in the world. It's like, you know, I'm
a Jew, so you think of Berlin a certain way.
And when I got there, I was like, wow, this
is not at all what I pictured Berlin to be,
because you, like Americans, we live in this sheltered shit,
you know, like we're sold a bill of goods and

you go and you go over and to anywhere in
Europe and you're like, yeah, it wasn't really like what
they were telling me.

The reason I'm bringing it up is the music scene.
Oh my god, all the cool clubs in Berlin.

I would definitely say Berlin is the most diverse city
when it comes to music. They just have the biggest
scene in pretty much every genre because you have a
lot of big pop productions coming from there, a lot
of record labels sit there actually like Sony Universal, right,
So that's the hot spot to be in Germany for sure.

And I had so much fun just going into these
clubs at the live music that would.

Because it's everywhere you can. You can see a DJ
play in this venue. Then you go on like to
the next one and there's a jazz band playing. You know,
it's awesome.

That's way cool. So how does it feel to be
here at Download?

It's a pretty surreal experience. I've seen videos of this
festival when I was a kid. I was looking up
to slip Nod and whatever you name it, and everyone
played here. It's a legendary festival and we are just
blown away to be here actually because it's just awesome.
And uh yeah, we just came back from stage, went

backstage and there was just Keanu Reeves hanging around like casually,
he's here.

Yeah, And just to see people like that here and
like this crowd and the big stages, it's just awesome.

bands playing later, like Lincoln Park. They to remember all
these bands. It's it's awesome.

a band that I really grew up with and that

And then yesterday yet Guns N' Roses and you had
Architects both playing at the same time, the two big stages, so.

The whole place was crowded entirely.

Like you couldn't even walk through. That's incredible.

I was there for Architects and I'm like, I've never
seen a band playing at the same time as a
headliner have this big of a crowd.

I mean Architecture is a huge band in Europe in
general or all over the world, but I mean they
are from the UK. People love them and they are
just a sick life band. So yeah, they are awesome
to see.

We have some festivals left this summer.

We were actually playing jeron air next week or no,
then the week often next week in two weeks. Yeah,

And yeah, we don't have that many festivals this yere,
which is okay because we just want to concentrate on
writing new music and we have a big year next
year ahead of us.

It was the most surreal thing ever really, because the
same it's just the same with download and what and
these are all just festivals, you know, since you're a child,
and it was always a goal of every one of
us to play there at one point and to just
be there, and everything was live streamed, and after we
got from the stage, I got a shitload of messages

from our family and friends and they were like, holy shit,
what did you do?

And it was just awesome? But how was it for you?

Yeah, I think it was one of the best festivals
we ever played, and the result was shitty. After our
show was Yeah, we just stayed in the artist village
in the tent and took some drinks, some food and
that's all.

Well, Red, Yeah, the weather was pretty bad, but it's
always bad.

Guys spend a lot of my I heard then when
I was there was like three thousand dollars to get
your license.

Nowadays, yeah, it can be that high. Actually, but I
did it like I don't know, like a years ago
or so. It was around one thousand to two thousand,
but no, it went up pretty drastically. Wow, insane.

Another one of my most scary experiences is when I
was driving from Czech Republic into Germany over that bridge
and literally the.

Wind moved my car over a lane really like not me.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
I was driving straight, and also I'm in another lane
like the wind was so strong, and I'm like, I'm
not doing that bridge again.
Speaker 3 (05:31):
Fair enough, fair enough.

But I do love Berlin. It's like one of my
favorite cities in the world. It's like, you know, I'm
a Jew, so you think of Berlin a certain way.
And when I got there, I was like, wow, this
is not at all what I pictured Berlin to be,
because you, like Americans, we live in this sheltered shit,
you know, like we're sold a bill of goods and

you go and you go over and to anywhere in
Europe and you're like, yeah, it wasn't really like what
they were telling me.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
You know, yeah, totally. But you got.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
The reason I'm bringing it up is the music scene.
Oh my god, all the cool clubs in Berlin.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
That yeah, clubs.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
I would definitely say Berlin is the most diverse city
when it comes to music. They just have the biggest
scene in pretty much every genre because you have a
lot of big pop productions coming from there, a lot
of record labels sit there actually like Sony Universal, right,
So that's the hot spot to be in Germany for sure.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
And I had so much fun just going into these
clubs at the live music that would.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Because it's everywhere you can. You can see a DJ
play in this venue. Then you go on like to
the next one and there's a jazz band playing. You know,
it's awesome.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
That's way cool. So how does it feel to be
here at Download?
Speaker 4 (06:52):
It's a pretty surreal experience. I've seen videos of this
festival when I was a kid. I was looking up
to slip Nod and whatever you name it, and everyone
played here. It's a legendary festival and we are just
blown away to be here actually because it's just awesome.
And uh yeah, we just came back from stage, went

backstage and there was just Keanu Reeves hanging around like casually,
he's here.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
He's here.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
I didn't even know that.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
Yeah, And just to see people like that here and
like this crowd and the big stages, it's just awesome.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Was he playing in one of the bands.

Yeah, he's actually playing bays in one of in a
band I don't know the name.

Yeah, holy shit, Like inside you gave me info.

Closed my mind if I would have been because I've
been walking back there, if I would have looked at it,

And then our singer was like, he plays in the
band the plays here today, but I forgot the name.

you will think about Max or Matrix or whatever you

It's where he's an FBI agent catching the surfers that
are doing bank robberies and it's a like aby in
the State or abay that's a surfer, Like really knows
that movie. So that's pretty wild.

Yeah, I get it. But yeah, to be here is awesome.
It's just so cool. There are a lot of cool
bands playing later, like Lincoln Park. They to remember all
these bands. It's it's awesome.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
Are you going crowdsurfer A day to remember, because everybody
has the CrowdSurf to them today.
Speaker 1 (08:49):

I would love to, because especially it to remember as
a band that I really grew up with and that
inspired me a lot to do music more. Seriously, I
maybe I hope I don't cry if I see them today,
because I haven't seen them in like ten years or so.

have seen so many people on the infield of a festival.
I think, and didn't see earth anymore. This is just people, people,

Yeah, I can only imagine how insane it is to
play the main stage.

We played it in the tent.

But I I've seen some pictures of Electric Collboy that
played here yesterday or so yeah do it. That looked insane.
It looked just like model or like in a lot
of the ringsmen. It was insane, right.

And then yesterday yet Guns N' Roses and you had
Architects both playing at the same time, the two big stages, so.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
The whole place was crowded entirely.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Like you couldn't even walk through. That's incredible.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
I was there for Architects and I'm like, I've never
seen a band playing at the same time as a
headliner have this big of a crowd.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
Yeah, totally, that's crazy.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
I mean Architecture is a huge band in Europe in
general or all over the world, but I mean they
are from the UK. People love them and they are
just a sick life band. So yeah, they are awesome
to see.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
So what else you got going on? Now? How are
you top this?

Good question?

We have some festivals left this summer.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
We were actually playing jeron air next week or no,
then the week often next week in two weeks. Yeah,
and yeah, we just came from where did we play.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
In Austria which was awesome as well.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
And yeah, we don't have that many festivals this yere,
which is okay because we just want to concentrate on
writing new music and we have a big year next
year ahead of us.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Which we can't talk too much about.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
But yeah, people have to connect you on socials now
to tell them how to do that.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Yeah, just follow and it's okay everywhere, like on every
platform you want to. It's Instagram, YouTube, we will just
post whatever we're about to do. And yeah, we're.

Just happy that we have some shows left this year.

And you know what, now, I'm thinking right now you're
required to do a Michael Jackson cover.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
Finally, because we have a Michael Jackson EP with I
think four or five songs but ten years old or something,
I don't know.

Wow, that's pretty cool.

Maybe we should bring him back into the set and
do like a special thing about it or something.

Definitely I love it. How about have you played Varkan?

Yeah? Last year we played Vakner.

What was that like for me?

It was the most surreal thing ever really, because the
same it's just the same with download and what and
these are all just festivals, you know, since you're a child,
and it was always a goal of every one of
us to play there at one point and to just
be there, and everything was live streamed, and after we
got from the stage, I got a shitload of messages

from our family and friends and they were like, holy shit,
what did you do?
Speaker 3 (12:38):
And it was just awesome? But how was it for you?
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Really?
Speaker 5 (12:42):
Yeah, I think it was one of the best festivals
we ever played, and the result was shitty. After our
show was Yeah, we just stayed in the artist village
in the tent and took some drinks, some food and
that's all.
Speaker 1 (12:58):

Well, Red, Yeah, the weather was pretty bad, but it's
always bad.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
I think it's your fault.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
I think you guys rock so hard that opened up
the clouds.

But we actually have this kind of inside joke that
everywhere we go it starts raining. Yes, Like see, when
we played at the last festival, it was nice weather
the whole day. When we started change over, it started raining.
It's insane. I don't know how this works, but it
just seems to follow us.

Yeah, so I think I'll make sure I have to
look at your schedule that I'm not at any more festivals.
