Murray Olds: Australia Correspondent chats Barnaby Joyce publicly snapping at dog

Former deputy prime minister and One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce grabbed headlines after snapping at a misbehaving dog on live TV.

This isn't the first time Joyce has been caught in dog related controversy, as he once threatened to kill actor Johnny Depp’s dogs.

Australia correspondent Murray Olds said, "you have to yell at your dog from time to time, but it was honestly, I think anyone who was watching last night started to laugh so hard you'd wet your pants."

The moment came as a reporter was interviewing him about Pauline Hanson's latest controversial comments to far-right British figurehead Tommy Robinson.

I think anyone who was watching last night started to
laugh so hard he had wet your pants. It was

Barnaby Joyce. But meanwhile, the serious issue that they were
talking about over that whole thing is Pauline Hanson and
One Nation and her White Australia comments, well.

back and had to listen to what she told that
with Robinson and she was never saying, geez, I love
white Australia, I love the white Australian policy. How did
you come to have so many people who aren't white
in Australia And she said, well, it was GoF Whitland
back in nineteen seventy three, that then Labor Prime Minister

who dropped the White Australia policy and since then it's
kind of been open the season for mirgrants from all
over the world. That's what makes Australia such a wonderful country.
And you know, to be fair, I think she was
a little bit misrepresented. She said, forget it. I'm not
advocating for a white Australia. That's just silly. But what
I am advocating for is for people who come here

to learn English and to I guess, become as Australian
as they can be. And she said, I don't think
it's too much to ask. And you know, and make
no mistake, Andrew, She's got a lot of support and
from the latest polling, she's got the same level of
support as the as the Labor government thirty percent primary
vote and the poor ole opposition is nineteen that's the

two parties combined. And you know, Pauline Hansen that they
you know, I keep writing her off, and so does
everybody else.

He's coming back absolutely Now. The woman I feel the
most for in Australia right now is a poor woman
who already I think she had four kids and then
something like that she became pregnant naturally and that was
all well and good, and then she had quadruplets. Now
she's got eight eight children.

A monozygotic pregnancy in other words, a quadruplets monozygotic, where
a single fertilized egg splits into four embryos. So you know, yeah,
I'm pregnanting it with my fifth child six and seven?

So the father was interviewed, LUs I'm telling he said,
you know what, we need a bigger vehicle, don't kidding,
can leave one of those giant buses. But I mean,
here's the thing. These bubbers were born by Cinesian in
twenty eight weeks. They're not big by any means, and
there's a long there's a long road in front of them.
They have to. They'll be in hospital for weeks. They're

getting the very best of care. But you know, there's
a great deal of optimism, a healthy, strong little and
she'll get them home eventually. And she has, you say,
a family of eight children, school lunches.

Yeah, exactly. She'll get loads of support though, because these
multiple births, I mean, they seem to decrease lately. But
I remember when I was younger, we had a New
Zealand the laws and Quinns, I remember that, you know,
and they were five kids, and then they got magazine
covers and they got help and they and people raise
funds for them, and you think, you know, how are
you going to deal with five babies? You know, just

just running back and forth feeding them. You know, that's
a whole day's work. But they got a lot of help.
Nobody says it's going to be easy. And of course
it's a unique lifestyle. But I pray for this woman
with eight children, four of which are sharing the same birthday.
Imagine the birthday party. Oh my lord, I feel for
her as well. Murray are the very best, and I thank.
