It's so confusing because it's been a mart hokey long
weekend that started on Friday. So when we're first with
yesterday's news, we actually mean that goes all the way
back to last week. I'm this morning, man, I'm confused.

to be honest. Let's super can get into that, and
we'll finish up by having an interview with Jennifer Garner.
It's pretty cool in Tessica and Jennifer Garner one of
the biggest stars around. She's actually talk about five stars.

What were the few hours after the test like for
you last night.

Yeah, it always been pretty quickly, to be fair, wasn't
really expecting game to the game that would be last

around my friends and family. I was graving with my
mum and dad and my partner McKinsey up, so yeah,
just kind of started the moment with them and the boys,
and yeah, I guess it's why you play the game,
is to share those moments with the guys around you.

So that was a cool night and great to celebrate
to Gibbie Thompson, Lowy and Swift giff as are.

When you crossed for that record breaking try, you were
engulfed by your teammates. You heard the roar of the

ten minutes of running ready for us beforehand.

I only feel like you've been there only five minutes,

Ah, it is a very big deal. You think about it.
At one point, a government responsible for one point four
billion people, prime minister coming down to a country of
five million people to celebrate the relationship across the board,
but particularly the opportunities and trade it is. I think
there's a bit of excitement building.

Yes, there is. He's been in Australia and there he
was treated like a rock star. He sold out Marvel
Stadium for goingness say, you know, he's got a gig
at Spark Arena. He's a traveling rock star. But would
he have come to New Zealand with or without the
FTA if he's been to Australia.

Too, I think the answer is without the FTA, no,
he probably wouldn't have. You know, it is an opportunity
to sort of one celebrate the relationship, as I said earlier,
but if the negotiations were still ongoing Prime Minister Mode,
he probably wouldn't be here. And so look we should
view this as a real opportunity. Although he's only sort

of a day and a half in New Zealand. You
know the why our business community is going to be
turning out. There's a formal lunch tomorrow with a lot
of business leaders and sectors that are going to benefit
from the FDA. And then of course there is an
Indian and New Zealand Indian organized event for Prime Minister Modi.
As he said in Spark Arena, I and my elective

Roger was out and about it. But yesterday and they've
secured about fifty tickets, but a lot of excitement and
as you say, rock star status.

Yeah, so that was Andrew Dickens actually hosting the breakfast
show on Madriko Holiday Friday morning. I don't I'm sure
excute what's supposed to call it, but let's call it now,
you know what I mean? You talk side And then
he was back yesterday afternoon doing the Weekend Collective in
the In the weekend we got hugely in the Weekend

Collective Evans. I just meant he obviously it was work
Friday morning. There was Sunday afternoon altho. Anyway, his producers
really let down. But this question, I think.

So you met Madi, didn't you just briefly?

Well no, not. Actually it was done so secretly that
by the time I got an advtasion I was actually
somewhere else. But I've led a business delegation to India
in the past, and I've had I know, I have
quite a bit to do with it. We've got a
couple of the arrangements between Auckland and two cities over there,
which we're working up to being more formal. Circumstances being

LaRue and bad and so. But I am in the
midst of all the Department of Internal Affairs secret behaviors.
It eluded me.

Okay, all right, but you have actually met him. What's
he like?
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Well, he's he's a super You described the guy perfect
people in this country. I think he's fantastic. He's he
the most beautiful person there. I'm the most vautiful person
here of course too, but I don't enjoyed quite such religious.

Please tell me Wayne Brown didn't just cold compare himself
to in terms of popularilarity to anyway, and also claiming
that he that he didn't know he was We all
knew he was coming. Everybody knew he was coming. It
wasn't a secret that he was coming. So I don't

know what's going on there with grumpy old Wayne. Grumpy
old get off my lawn, new kids. Wayne. Just go
back to the orphan maryalty. I'm pretty sure the person
most people voted for in Auckland was nobody, and unfortunately
that didn't take. That's what I was campaigning for, was
to have nobody in charge. But that's Auckland. What about Wellington?

You know, we always think of genetics as just being
a hair color, eye color, that kind of thing. But
all of these barely tangible little things about the ways
in which we moved through the world are defined by genetics,
and it's only when you confronted by someone from thirty
years ago on the screen who looks almost exactly the
same as someone sitting right next to you on the
couch that you realize how significant it is. The other

thing that really struck me was the value of scarcity.
And look, perhaps I am romanticizing it a bit much,
but one of the things that makes the home videos
of that era so precious is that there aren't many
of them. Recording a video back then was an event,
not just because of the coal boiler needed to fire

the camera into life, but because cameras were super expensive
and it took serious planning to actually organize them. And
you know, obviously we have gained a lot by having
extraordinary video cameras in our pockets, immediately accessible any time
of the day. But ah, I just wonder if we

have also lost something too. There was a genuine sense
of wonder for all of us three generations and sitting
down and soaking up scenes from three decades ago, and honestly,
it'd be a shame to think it becomes something my
kids just take for granted. Don't worry.

all they to hear you speak. It just cracks me
up because they all have a really good ear. But
they can do the New Zealand accent, not Australia New

like or something that's attractive to you. There was nothing.
There were no red flags. It was like a group
of women and they're all so well written that they're
going to attract like real actresses. Little did I know
we would get the super star cast we got. So

that's a yes, she gets to cook. I love to cook.
That's a yes. Female directors, producers, Yes, shoot on Nantucket, Yes,
shoot in La Yes done. Love the scripts, love Becket love,

I mean not really. I think that people think I'm
more put together in more type A than I am,
and my cooking is definitely like I could never make
