Chris Luxon says he doesn't know if and when New Zealand could face higher tariffs from the US - but we'll weather whatever comes our way.

Trade experts have suggested New Zealand could face a blanket 12.5 percent tariff as early as this Friday.

It would replace the 10-percent tariff we currently face.

The Prime Minister told Mike Hosking that there will continue to be strong demand for New Zealand goods.

National's justice spokesperson says new consent laws in other jurisdictions haven't materially changed conviction rates. 

The party's announced if re-elected, it'll ensure consent has to be actively given, meaning there must be a "yes" rather than the absence of a "no".

Donald Trump has opened a subscription service on his social media platform Truth Social. 

The subscription, which allows users to view Trump's posts faster, would cost $100,000 USD per month. 

US Correspondent Richard Arnold told Mike Hosking that the platform is offering a limited time special - which would reduce the price to $60,000 with a three-year subscription.

Federated Farmers have quite rightly raised what you would loosely call "the alarm" around a rush of new deals between councils and local Māori. 

The rush is on because of the Government's new Natural Environment and Planning bills. 

They were released late last year, saying you can't do local Māori deals under it. It's passed its first reading and is sitting at committee level and due back soon.
