Speaker 1 (00:00):
Test number four this weekend for the All Blacks of
the season. Two wins against England, an easy one against
Fiji and San Diego. Now it's Argentina captain Scott Barrett
is out for a couple of weeks there. That took
a little bit of working out. Apparently during the AB's
press conference this week.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Scott Barrett's out for two tests. Can you just speak
more at Scott Barrett?
Speaker 1 (00:16):
And in terms of the prognosis, he's out for two tests.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
That's just what I said.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
He's out for two tests Argentina.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
The chance to Scott Bartley back in time for this
African Games.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
He's out for two tests.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Yeah, But in terms of looking forward, is it is
it lately that you be back in time?
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Yes, he's out for two tests. Here who was that?
For goodness sake? Scott Barrett's weather Scott.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Morning, Good morning Mike. How's it going very well?
Speaker 1 (00:39):
And do thank you? You out for two tests?
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Ah? Yes, out for two tests at this stage, yeah,
pending I guess how the bone heels there.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Have you seen the Netflix program Quarterback All Receivers?
Speaker 2 (00:56):
No? I haven't.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
You got to watch it. It's fantastic anyway, part of
what they do is they follow these players for the season,
and one of the most famous ones Deebo Samuels, who
plays with the San Francisco forty nine. They look at
his injuries and issues and the sort of rehab that
goes on. People I don't think understand how intensive rehabits
do they. I mean, you had your back, You've got
your finger and stuff like that. How much time do
you spend rehabbing with somebody doing something to you.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah, that's quite a bit of time. I guess you're
on the sidelines and you want to get back out planned.
So as professional athletes, rugby players, you know that's where
our energy is going to, so you know part of it.
So also staying sane, the mental sides I've wanted to
(01:44):
get back out there and the frustrations that go with it.
Probably the bigger challenge of the physical one.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Are you a good patient?
Speaker 2 (01:52):
I am? Yeah. This hand injury is certainly yeah, testing
my patients. It has this here, but I feel like
I'm on the other side of it and yeah, fairly
positive to keep back in a couple of weeks. Good.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Do you know the name Andrew sebil.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
I? Do? Yes?
Speaker 1 (02:11):
He says the argies aren't what they used to be,
being no big deal. What do you reckon?
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Well, he's probably setting us up to fall into a
mental trap to make it a decent thing song in Wellington,
so we're certainly not reading into that. I think they've
tipped us up at christ Church and in Australia a
couple of years ago. So I start on, they can
really challenge you.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
What about your sense of Scott robertson What have you
made of him and the difference he has made to
the side so far.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Yes, Razor, he's coming and brought his energy like I expected,
and you know he's always thinking sort of two steps ahead,
and sometimes I guess the group and myself sort of
have to say this week. But I think he's a
his style, he's a visionary coach and he's had a
(03:06):
good impact so far. And yeah, he's he's going.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Good good stuff. Whether in track or it doesn't matter
what's that sorry, Whether in track tomorrow does it matter?
Speaker 2 (03:20):
I guess you've got to adapt. It's Wellington. Who knows
what will turn out at the cake Tin. I'm an
actually checked the forecast, but I'm sure the boys have
yeah prepped pretty well yesterday.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
Good stuff. Good on you mate, go well and hope
you better soon. Scott Barrett, who I understand is out
for two tests. Where'd you hear that is at the
press conference? Is that what all press conferences with the
All Blacks are like? I haven't been to one since
twenty fifteen. For more from the Mic Asking Breakfast, listen
live to news talks. It'd be from six am weekdays,
