pointing out that apparently an anchor, a news anchor overseas,
fell asleep live on air.

to go. You know, me up early, ready to I've
warmed up.

Were starting with the very tragic, sad news that Anti
Police has confirmed five people have been killed in a
horrific head on collision on the Stuart Highway, about two
kilometers south of the Marrachai Road turn off. The crash
occurred just before one pm yesterday, with both vehicles becoming
engulfed in flames, and despite the efforts of members of
the public to help, the occupants of both vehicles couldn't

be saved. After working throughout the night to identify those involved,
it's believed those killed was a sixty nine year old
woman in one car, while a twenty three year old
man and a thirty six year old man alongside a
twenty three year old woman and a thirty two year
old woman died in the Ford Ranger utility. Initial investigations
have indicated the Ford Ranger was traveling northbound and for

reasons yet to be determined, it crossed onto the wrong
side of the high way and collided head on with
a Toyota high Ace van. Witnesses have reported the utility
was traveling at excessive speed and overtaking dangerously in the
minutes before the crash. Anyone who was in the area
or saw the vehicles or has dash cam footage is
urged to contact police. The Anti Police Commissioner has strongly

rejected claims made by Luke Gosling's lawyer there has been
a degree of politicization in the investigation against the Member
for Solomon. Mister Gosling is accused of intentionally elbowing and
bumping into the Administrator, David Connolly at a community event
last month. The federal MP has vehemently denied the allegations
and plans to contest the charges, with his lawyer hitting

out at police following his arrest. Commissioner Martin Dole has
also refuted claims police didn't make several attempts to contact
the MP in the days beforehand, insisting investigation investigators did
make multiple attempts on multiple occasions to speak with mister Gosling.
It comes as the NTDPP has referred the assault case

against the MP to the Commonwealth DPP after identifying a
potential conflict of interest. According to the NT News, NT
police's newest recruit dog Detection. Drug detection dog UNO has
made his mark already, leading to the discovery of illicit drugs.
During his first deployment in Catherine, Officers of the Katherine

Dog Operations Unit saw a man acting suspiciously in the
CBD on Tuesday before he drove to a nearby hotel.
Police stopped the vehicle conducting a roadside drug test, with
UNO screening the car and making several positive indications of
drugs present. A search found two used meth aphetamine pipes
and approximately three point five grams of meth hidden in

a toiletry bag and a first aid kit. A fifty
five year old Darwin man returned a positive test and
was arrested and charged, and the Anti Environment Protection Authority
has launched legal action against the ikphus LNG gas plant
over the significant underreporting of emissions. In October last year,
IKFAS reported to the Anti EPA it had significantly underreported

potentially toxic emissions from the Darwin plant. The ANTEPA has
also recommended IMPEX and Santos be made to operate under
stricter rules following a review of reporting measures.
