accused of driving dangerously in a stolen car have been charged.
About seven youths are accused of driving the vehicle through

old boy is now facing three charges including driving a

as recklessly in endangering harm. It's alleged the offender was

He was taken to Alice Hospital and then airlifted to

Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious condition. A thirty nine
year old man has been arrested overnight accused of an
aggravated burglary in Coconut Grove. Around eight fifteen, police received
a report to FOIS two men armed with machetes were
trying to break into a home in Hazel Court. The
men allegedly fled as police arrived, but a thirteen thirty
nine year old man was found hiding in a front

garden of the property, allegedly still in possession of a machete.
The second offender remains outstanding.

the delayed pre cyclone which will be post cyclone clean up.

This would fire people up, you know, because I guess,
rightly or wrongly, people very much see that the Council's
role is roads, rates and rubbish and they feel as though,
you know that cyclone cleanup is part of the responsibility
when you look at Rhodes rates and rubbish, so the
rubbish element of things. Now, obviously the Council is sort
of saying that, you know, there's other priorities and other

things that they're hoping to do at this point in time.
But nonetheless, you know, people are like, come on, now,
this is what you're meant to do.

Yeah, And probably you could argue it's not so much
like it probably started out of course of cleaning up
those you know, missiles, which would be things that can
get picked up by those strong winds and fling and
damage stuff.

But it's obviously.

Transformed differently to those things that are a bit larger
that you can't fit in a car or necessarily pot
in your trailer to take to the council to the
to the tip and become more than just a pre

And this is the thing a lot of people sort
of rely on it, like now, I guess for you know,
for my family. Like I said to the mayor earlier
this morning, I've got a trailer, we've got a you

of people do not have a trailer. You know, I
can't tell you the number of times that we've loaned

our trailer to our mates, because that's what you do,

there's going to be plenty of people that are going
to be potentially in a bit of a spot of
bother because it's not able to be picked up. And
that's certainly what we're hearing on the text line.

Isn't that and important that you know, there is the
opportunity for elderly people or inaccessible or people with disabilities
unable to do those things in call counsel and get
kind of an exemption. But there would be other situations
where perhaps you know, you've got a five fo family
and your partner husband works away a lot or even
just has long hours and is unable to get there

during tip hours, and a single mom like you wouldn't
necessarily be able to.

Pick up something that goes into a trailer to take.

It, or know how to drive a trailer big know
how to drive a trailer as well strap it down
so you know, yes, you can call someone to help,
but also sometimes you don't want to have to hassle
other people.

Yeah, no, I'm definitely I can't reverse with the trailer.

They're therefore Bunnings to actually, you know, like for Bunning's

The Chief Minister has defended her government's record on crime
in the wake of escalating issues in Catherine. It comes
after two teenagers at thirteen and fifteen year old boy
were arrested and we're allegedly part of a group of
seven youths accused of stealing a car and taking it
for a dangerous joy ride lasting hours on Thursday afternoon
into the evening. The teens were seen driving dangerously and

hanging out of windows, attempting to engage police in a
pursuit which officers deemed too risky, only coming to an
end when it mounted a curb and hit offence. It
prompted the Catherine Mayor to write to the government calling
for urgent action and support to instigate new measures and

with Council questioning why there was no apparent police intervention

sexual assault on a forty seven year old woman in

called police after a woman with visible injuries approached them
in a car park in the CBD and reported she
had been assaulted. The alleged defender was tracked by CCTV
operators and quickly arrested. Investigations remain ongoing. Military flying activity
is set to reduce across the top end following the

conclusion of Exercise Pitch Black, but flying will continue through
to September eleven. The Republic of Singapore Air Force will
continue flying F sixteen's and F fifteen fighter jets from
