Speaker 1 (00:01):
Now Donald Trump has come under fire, accused of making
what some people are calling creepy comments towards famous young women.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
For more, we're joined by entertainment editor Peter Ford. He's
commented on both Sidney Sweeney and Taylor Swift.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Yes, he's on a roll. So this all begins with
the TV commercial. It dropped actually about two weeks ago.
It took several days for this to really to kind
of take off, but it did take off. And people
have said this Gen's commercial, which Sidney Sweeney stars in,
is too highly sexualized, it demeans women. A lot of
people even saying it's racist. It don't quite how they

(00:37):
find that, but so a lot of people have been
coming after the TV commercial itself. Of course, American Eagle
are loving it. You know, the product is flying off
the shelf. That actually increased their advertising spend because everybody's
talking about these genes which you just must have. And
now President Trump has actually weighed into it. As you're

(00:58):
seeing this grab, stopped and asked about the TV commercial
and his delight he finds out that Sidney Sweeney is
a Republican. Have a look, she's a registered Republican.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
Oh now, I love her at is that raded Sidney Sweeney,
you'd be surprised at how many people are Republicans.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
That's what I wouldn't have known. But I'm glad you
told me that. If Sydney Sweeney is a registered Republican,
I think her ad is fantastic.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Okay, So, spurred on by this great news, he decided
to take to his truth social and in it you
can see here she's the hottest now, whether he means
hottest as in the sexiest or whether the most in
demand star at the moment. Either way, she's got presidential endorsement,
but Taylor Swift most definitely has not because he's taken

(01:52):
a chance to have a dig at her. She's not
hot anymore because he was responsible for making her not hot.
So but looking at a starmaker, not just a president,
this is remarkable stuff. So and of course you know
this all goes on the presidential record, all this stuff.
So do you alart about it?

Speaker 4 (02:10):
Do you cry?

Speaker 5 (02:11):
I don't know, But either way, American Eagle are loving it,
and I don't think Sidney Sweeney is upset by it
with all, although interestingly, she attended a premiere overnight of
her latest project and people in the crowd were.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Shouting at her, You're a racist. The racist thing, I
better explain comes from a reference in the TV commercial
to say she has great genes as in gea ns.
Other people are saying yeah, but what they really mean
is genes g e nes. So anyway, as I say,
American Eagle could not buy this sort of publicity.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
And the President just dragged Taylor Swift into the argument.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
He just has a hang up about her. Yeah, he's
got to hang up about it.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
An interesting tactic.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
I'm going to make a bold prediction a AI version
of Donald Trump in American Eagle genes on the Donald
Trump Instagram account any moment.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
If you're fighting around already. But he just hasn't posted
them himself yet. You're right, Stay tuned. Pamela Anderson lim
Neeson continue to fuel romance rooms. Have they confirmed or
denied Pete anything.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
They're saying nothing. So they clearly are happy for this
to bubble away. And as I said to you last week,
there is no doubt they are extremely comfortable in each
other's company. They're very tactile. Now.

Speaker 5 (03:27):
Their latest appearance together was on Watch What.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Happens with Andy Cohen and something happens there that I
think is a sign that it's like crossing a line.
You wouldn't do it with just a work colleague. Where
she gets out of lip gloss and does his lips.
Now that is I reckon, that's a sign, Kylie. I
reckon it's a sign. So have a look at this.
You'll see the lip gloss. You'll also see Andy Cohen.

(03:53):
It seems like there was an agreement to not ask
specifically are you an item? So Andy kind of gets
around it and gets an answer anyway.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Have a look.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Oh my god, oh.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Wow nice.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
The question that I'm not asking the two of you
tonight is what's going on between the two of you.
But I do just want to say, as a very
old friend of yours, all of your friends are very
much standing this relationship.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
As the kids say, I just want to.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Say that, right Danny, Yes, okay, very good.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
So you're going to call it, Chris, got to call it, Kylie.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
They're doing it or not doing it.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
I don't want to think about the doing it per se.
But are you just mean are they in a relationship?
I would tend to think.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yes, I think so, But I think they're also stoking
it that you don't put lip gloss on your supposed
boyfriend unless you really want people talking about that is
very very delights.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
That's the sign I think. Otherwise you go straight to
HRDW Juel.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Especially if there's a history of coal source. Now Martha
Stewart is pushing a boundaries, Pete.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Yeah, eighty four years old, launching her own skin care
line coming out in September. Now she's got together desin
miss a trick does she incredible businesswoman, incredibly well managed
career too, And she has got together with a dermatologist
and they together consulted three hundred and fifty other dermatology experts,
and so we have ELM Biosciences. Now you can buy

(05:32):
a serum which will cost you one hundred and thirty
five US dollars. There's also going to be an oral
thing you can take which is going to do wonders
for your skin. And I have no doubt that just
pretty much like everything Martha Stewart.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Touches, it's going to turn to gold. It will fly
off the shelves.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Yeah, fly off, Thank you, Pete,
