Weil breaking news on a deadly shooting in Blacktown today,
Police arresting two suspects, a teenager and a man in
his early twenties. Our reporter Rex Quayle is live at
the scene there this afternoon. Very much an active scene
behind you still, Rex, What have detective said?

Good afternoons, Sally. As we go to air. Two young
men are in police custody, accused of a dramatic and
fatal shooting just up here on Karna Road in Blacktown
around midday today. The two alleged shooters were arrested after
crashing their getaway car around the corner on Kildare Road,
causing the car to an innocent person's car to flip

onto its roof. The gunshot victim, he's in his early twenties.
He was found with wounds to his neck, chest and leg.
He did not survive. Inquiries are now underway as to
whether this was connected to the gang violence that's rock
Sydney in recent months and terrified the public.

Police heard the shots been fired and responded immediately. Local
protectives were in first. We're on the scene within seconds.
