Speaker 2 (00:24):
Explain everybody's am though.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
It's good feel and this is Chris and Amy in
the morning.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Kiss, Hey, good morning every one.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
Happy Saturday, everyone, How are you dorry? I'm not going
to roll my as for the entire show because.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
That's not a ratings winner. I would rating.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Happy Saturday.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
Yeah, happy Saturday. The Moon mission is done and dusted,
and everyone had their thoughts on they're back. Yeah, they're back.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
They're sweet. Good for them, Good on them. A lot
of money and.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
Fuel that thing that we're running out of.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Yeah, yeah. The refinery in Geelong blew up the other
day and.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
We've had an oil spill just in my local area
as well. It's flooded down into the drains and there's
childcares that are closed and whatnot.
Speaker 4 (01:21):
Fantastic doing. Hey, the geniuses at NASA are onto this.
They understand the problems. Oh thank god, because now they
want to go to Mars.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
Okay, I mean that's more fuel.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
That's the most logical thing to do, right after they've
already wasted a heap of fuel.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
Elon's huge on it as well, Elon wants to restart
human settlement on Mars.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
He says, that's the answer.
Speaker 5 (01:43):
Elon is from Mars.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
That's why he is alien.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
He's an alien. He was some sort of gecko.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
They want volunteers, I mean obviously not just anyone, but
they want people to go to Mars.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
There is a catch if you sign up to be
on the Mars mission.
Speaker 5 (01:59):
Okay, what is it?
Speaker 3 (02:00):
The catches that you never come home.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
So the trip to Mars takes a few years, and
there is not a return trip land.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
So they're saying, you board the rocket, you fly out
to Mars, takes a couple of years.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
They give you. I suppose you have enough stuff to
build your space igloo or whatever you're going to live
in on Mars. You take that up with you.
Speaker 5 (02:24):
And then that's it.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
You're come back.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
So you just live in space.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
No, you live on Mars. Maybe the rocket when it
lands then turns into a house. Wow, like a amountable.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
I don't know anyone who'd put their hand up for that,
would you?
Speaker 3 (02:38):
I wouldn't.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
No, I wouldn't because I've got kids, obvious, and I
would want to take them.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
Oh sorry, and my wife too.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
And my wife maybe if I was ninety five years old.
I'm at the end of my life and I've gone
you know what, I haven't really done anything interesting. Let's go.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
They're not going to send you to Mars when you're
ninety five. Why, because you're a waste of space. You'll
probably die on the trip on the way up.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
But you're not coming back, so who cares?
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Yeah, but they want people to go there and live
there for a while and report and you know, get
set up there.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
They're not saying. And also, do you know how cold
it is on Mars?
Speaker 5 (03:14):
I've never been.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
No.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
Yeah, well I can tell you it's cold on Mars.
I've never been either. And old people are always cold.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
Yeah, this is true.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Yeah, women are always cold always. Women are always called.
So yeah, they need to send some men to Mars
and a chilli weather. Yeah okay, but not for you.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Can't wait to see who puts a hand up for that.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
I've got a few names I can think of that
I wouldn't mind putting on a ship to Mars that
would never come back.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Who do you want to put on a ship.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
They're all Australian celebrities, so.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
We won't all right, we'll leave that out.
Speaker 6 (03:43):
This is Chris Page and Amy's ride.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
AI keeps breaking the new ground, going to a new level.
Every week it seems to become in. There's something new.
It's doing what's done.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
Now it's Jesus. Now Jesus Christ is he.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Has risen in AI form.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Well, look, everyone knows, you know, God is a different
thing to different people and mysteriousness.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Maybe this is the point where we are finally is Jesus.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
We've made contact with God. We're going to offend someone
and we said, look, you know, I don't think it
is God. It's it's an AI program that charges you.
It does now it sounds like the old double O
double five numbers. Actually it's a dollar ninety nine a minute.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Wait, is it actually pretending that it's Jesus or is
it just taking facts from the Bible?
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Or is it is being a conduit of Jesus and
obviously being AI. It's read the Bible. It knows the
Bible cover to cover. So you go in for a
dollar ninety nine a minute. You might have something you
might go to a priest about. If you're religious, go hey,
I'm having these dramas. I'm always sad or I have
(04:52):
a dilemma with my wife. The AI scans the Bible
in half a second and comes back to you with, well,
you know, God says that you should do this and
this and summarizes it.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Or to the graph that you have.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
I mean, it's a bit sacriligious. If it was really
claiming to be Jesus.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
I mean Donald Trump did that during the week, that's
a whole other type of sacrilegious.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
But eh, I feel like the fact that there's a
dollar amount attached feels a bit icky.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
They do have a discount if you go forty If
you go forty five minutes with Jesus, that's fifty dollars.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
So wow.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
I don't hate the idea of Like I've never read
the Bible, so I don't hate the idea of AI
being able to summarize certain verses or I mean, look,
people are turning to AI for weirder.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Things and not that it could be working.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
AI.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
Jesus is weird.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
You know what I'm gonna say.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Well, my favorite thing on AI at the moment is
Chuck Norris. Have you seen the Chuck Norris videos where
they brought him back to life and put him in
all these other movies and it's just like him walking
on to you know, movies and TV shows and just
roundhouse kicking everyone in the head.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
The amount of AI models on Instagram is so wild,
and underneath all their photos are just these idiotic men
just slobbering all over themselves, going oh you're so.
Speaker 5 (06:15):
Hot, babe, blah blah blah.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
And I'm like, you know it's fake, right, surely you know,
but I don't think these in cells do.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
I was gonna say it reminds me of an Ram
song where they have Jesus and losing my religion. But
with AI, I know.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Religion.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Nah, there's a better one.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Yeah, good luck everyone, but yeah, Jesus two dollars a minute,
get all your answers.
Speaker 6 (06:46):
This is Crisp Page and Amy Gerard Aims.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Producer Ego brought up an interesting point before the show today.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Actually, because he's.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
A gamer, A lot of men are gamers. It's bigger
than with kids.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Now.
Speaker 5 (06:59):
Yeah, okay, I know they exist.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
I don't know any but randomly, Ego producer goes, hey,
do you know that in thirty years from now, nursing
homes are just going to be full of people gaming?
Speaker 5 (07:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Well you thought about it went yeah, I guess.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
And you know what else, They're going to be filled
with tattooed oldies. I feel like there's certain areas around Australia.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
Tattoos are more prevalent in certain areas.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
But like sometimes I go to the beach and every
single person is covered in a tat.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
Yeah, and the full sleeves and a sleeve that if
you're hitting the gym every day and you got your
biceps and everything, then they look great.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
It's kind of cool. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
When that's when you get the bingo wings.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
Stretch out, you can't read what it's said, right, So
there's going to be that in nursing homes.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
You know what I reckon as well. I reckon you're
going to find everyone's just glued to their phone. Our generation,
we're just all addicted to social media and our phones.
I can't see that changing.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
I can see it changing.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
To tell you the truth, I reckon it's going to
go too far and we'll realize it's gone too far
and we'll come back a bit.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
I reckon from my nan was in a nursing home
before she passed away, and I think they're generation they
still read books and they do the gardening and stuff.
So a lot of their day trips that they would
take their patients out to would be to see gardens
or a library. They had a book club that they
could go to bingo. I reckon when we're there and
(08:25):
you know, we're in nappies, adult nappies and soiling ourselves.
It'll be I don't know, gaming nights, maybe.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Sitting around Call of Duty, old people going out. I've
got you snipers. I hate snipers. Campers. They're the worst.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Probably, yeah, because they do now what they used to do.
So they're playing bingo and sitting around with cards, playing Canasta,
watching antiques Road Show.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Yeah, there's gonna be dance floors for me and all
my girlfriends where we've got the Zimmer frames so we
can still drop it low.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Yeah, they'll still be TV. I guess you'll watch Old Maths,
three runs Classic Maths. I remember this dinner party.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
She threw a glass of wine over the other ladies.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
Look at this slag.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
I think it'll be honestly, shoot me before you put
me in a retirement. Really, it's not for me. Take
me out the back.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
How about a pillow?
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Well, one of the two it's very undignified, you know,
when you get older and the like the whole changing
of the adult nappies and stuff.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
It's like a.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
The last time we spoke about retirement homes on air,
do you remember, we got a caller straight away ringing
up saying I worked at a retirement home and old
people are they've got the incredibly horny Yes.
Speaker 5 (09:46):
They all take viagraa and they run around with stiffies.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
Yes, in the middle of the night, there's men running
around with dressing gowns open.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Well, when I was there visiting my nan, we were
all in the room and this elderly gentleman just walked
in and my dad goes, oh, hi, Robert, and he
just stood there and stared at us. And then my
dad goes, oh, you lost, Robert. And we didn't make
any eye contact with My dad just step at my
nan but didn't make a sound. And then you could
(10:12):
see all these people running up and down the corrier.
And then my dad goes, he's in here, and the
nurse came and god him goes, Robert, Robert, you're in
the wrong room.
Speaker 5 (10:20):
And my dad said, normally he just walks around nude yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
Well, and Robert, while we're at it, let's put the
mouse back in the house.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
He was looking at my Nan with some thirsty eyes.
Yeah yeah, and I was like, get that old man
out of my NaN's room.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
Robert bomb Big Bob. Anyway, so that's what we have
to look forward to. Great gaming, phones, tattoos, maps, three.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Runs, sloppy tattoos, crap, yep, great.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
Okay, there's our future.
Speaker 6 (10:49):
This is Chris Page and Amy to Ride.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
Beb's at Coachella right now. He's going to hit the
stage tonight tonight for Weekend number two.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
I heard some mixed reviews about his performance last weekend.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
It was an interesting one.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
So I think if you're a hardcore Beaber fan and
you've seen him live a million times, you might go,
oh cool, he did something really different.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
It was a bit of clectic and yeah curveball.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
Well, he sat there on YouTube on his computer taking
requests from the crowd, looking up songs on YouTube and
singing along to them.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
I wonder if that's him kind of paying homage to
the fact that he was discovered on YouTube. Yes, that's
where he started out.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
And people are going on, how postmodern.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
It's genius.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
It's a you know they are, they're the true Biber fans.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
Yeah, and everyone else was like, okay, I just I'm
here anyway, and I wanted to see Biber as like
a bucket list thing.
Speaker 5 (11:37):
I think the thing for me was his voice didn't
sound that good.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
It felt a little bit if I'm going to be
if I'm going to be a critiquer of Justin Bieber
music right now, I just felt like he put in
zero effort. That's how I took it. It was a
low efforts It was a low effort set. So maybe
maybe he's going to redeem himself tonight.
Speaker 4 (11:56):
Yeah, I would love to go to Coachella one day.
I love the band of Strokes.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
So that the Strokes aren't they opening for Biber?
Speaker 4 (12:04):
Well, no, they're not headlined, so Bieber's above them on
the thing. So they came out and said, oh, it's
been our dream in life to open for Justin Bieber.
Speaker 5 (12:13):
A bit of sarcast feels a little bit sarcastic.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
Yeah, Sombers there.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
I do enjoy Sommer.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Teddy swims last night always good.
Speaker 4 (12:28):
Your mate, Sabrina Carpenter, I know you're going to love
this one because you're basically my age where both call
it forty groover Mada.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Shaking that ass.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
That is, that's very vintage.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
Yes, I would love to be there for that. I
would love to go there for the music, though, so
would I. But geez, some of the And I know
you get angry when I call you an influencer because
you're not. You're a social media content creator and you yeah,
you're not one of these influencers.
Speaker 3 (13:01):
Yes, those tools.
Speaker 4 (13:02):
Yes, spend all year planning the outfit for Coachella.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
Well, people use it almost like it's a photo shoot
and they're spending half a year planning what they're going
to wear, where they're going to stand. You kind of
want the bit of the fairest wheel as well as
a palm tree, and it's your flex. I'm at Coachella
wearing what looks like a DreamCatcher.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
How long does it take to plan to wear knee
high boots and some gaffer tape over your nipples.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
I've never understood the wearing the boots with next to
no clothing. Oh, it's a style, but listen, it's fun
pulling together an outfit.
Speaker 5 (13:39):
But there are people who take it far too seriously.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
And I think they lose sight of the fact that
it is actually a music festival.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Yeah, have you been to.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
A concert where you've been really i mean like people
were with Biber, Yeah, and just you've been really excited
and gone, Ah, that wasn't.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
Oh yeah, so good.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
I actually went to a Rihanna concert and I love
her and I love her music, but I was a
little disappointed. She didn't have a lot of stage presence.
She kind of just stood in the one spot and
did a lot of like grinding in the same spot,
didn't really interact with the.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
This wasn't when she was like eight months pre she
wasn't the super Bowl, and she wasn't.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Even with Asap Rockie. Then she was just a little
bit disappointing.
Speaker 5 (14:18):
I'll tell you who.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
I did go and see. I'd got tickets. This is
back when I was working in advertising. They're like, do
you want to go to this concert? And I was like, uh,
but I had a girlfriend who loved him, so I said, yeah,
I'll take her and he absolutely blew my socks off.
Speaker 5 (14:32):
Michael Bieber No, I know.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
So it's Michael boo Blaze boom Blaye.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Michael blue Blaye was so charismatic, so funny, such a
great singer, a performer. I walked out of there with
love hard eyes.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
He has got his demographic.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
I'm one of them now now that you're.
Speaker 4 (14:51):
Forty, particularly he is, he's got that smooth FM older
Lady audience absolutely fretted up.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
He is so rich.
Speaker 4 (15:01):
He brings out an album about November every year, so
everyone goes, oh, what am I getting mum for Christmas?
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Michael Boublay's new album, Yeah Covers.
Speaker 5 (15:10):
I get it?
Speaker 1 (15:11):
What about you? Did you?
Speaker 5 (15:12):
Have you seen anyone who's disappointing?
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Look Bob Dylan. I knew going in.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
He divides people when he's live because I'm a huge fan. Yeah,
and I think he is the greatest songwriter of all time.
And if you've seen the movie with Schamalay, he's brilliant.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
But he's not. He doesn't have a great voice.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
He's and he shows are very He does what he
wants and he reimagines his songs. So you're sort of
halfway through a song and he recognized the lyrics and go, oh,
this is like a rolling stone this song.
Speaker 5 (15:42):
Oh that changed.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
And he's just changed because he can, because he's an artiste.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Yes, he's a creative.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
He's a serious creative. And look, I have enormous respect
for him.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Yeah, I'm like that with Taylor Swift. I've never ever
been a Swifty, never really listened to her songs. Went
to her concert with Ryan. He got tickets through work.
And when I tell you, I am in absolute or.
I have so much respect for her because she is
a true performer.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
That's actually the exact opposite of my story. It's not
like my story. I already liked Bob Dylan and he
was disappointing him that.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but no, I was just bringing it
home with a good news story.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
That's the opposite.
Speaker 6 (16:19):
Yeah, Okay, this is crisp page and amid.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
The fuel crisis is continuing.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
The big oil refinery in Geelong caught fire. It's been
there for years and years, never been a problem, and
now we have a fuel crisis.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
The oil refinery catches fire. Timing.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
I am not a conspiracy theorist, but that feels really odd.
Speaker 4 (16:42):
I was gonna say, I'm not a conspiracy theorist either,
but you say that I am.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
It did happen in America a few years.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Ago they had these big food shortages. There was a
shortage of chickens and eggs, and during this shortage, all
these chicken plants and hatcheries and things all started mysteriously
catching fire, making the shortage even worse.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
I thought the refinery in Geelong hadn't been used in
ten twenty years.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
I'm seeing the pictures of the flames. It looks like
there was fuel.
Speaker 5 (17:13):
How did it starts?
Speaker 1 (17:15):
I took the kids on a bike ride during the
week and there was all these big fuel trucks, tankers, tankers, yeah,
and I thought, oh, great, they're getting some fuel in so,
you know, because it's been closed for the last couple
of days. And then something popped up on the local
Facebook page saying it's leaked out into the drains. The
fumes are so bad they've had to close daycares. There's
(17:37):
a local mac as that's been closed.
Speaker 4 (17:40):
So it leaked out from the underground tanks at the server, Yes,
into the ground and the pipes.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
Yes. How does that even.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
Happen during a shortage?
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Right?
Speaker 3 (17:51):
As well?
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Maybe it happens more often, but no one cares because.
Speaker 5 (17:54):
There's not a shortage.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
Driving in this morning, my petrol light is on Oh,
I was putting off doing it, but I've got to
go do it now.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
I hate Well.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
My husband actually went last weekend and did what you
have been doing and had to fill up his Jerry
can for the lawn mower. And he said he got
some real funny looks. Yeah, and he goes back, I
genuinely had to mow the lawn.
Speaker 3 (18:14):
Yeah, but you look like your panic vine.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
Look like your panic vine. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:17):
And if you buy toilet paper as well, you go, what,
I'm out of toilet paper.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
I look at this person, Only take what you need.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
I haven't actually been watching the news, So is there
any we've been told not to buy extra petrol anymore?
Speaker 3 (18:31):
Or you know what?
Speaker 4 (18:32):
Do you ever feel like we're not getting told everything?
I don't know, We're getting mixed messages. It's like, remember
Elbow went on TV to talk to the whole country.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
And he looked like he was just reading a script
from a screen.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
Yeah, but and then didn't say anything new and was
kind of reassured us like everything's fine, He's fine.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
Enjoy your easter. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
But now they're running ads going, hey, take your roof
racks off to use less petrol. Did you see that
I have not seen that the government spent twenty million
dollars on this ad telling people to make sure your
tires are pumped right up, and to take roof racks off,
what to use like zero point one percent less petrol
if you don't have roof racks. See they're saying that
(19:14):
but also telling us everything's fine, well is it or not?
Speaker 1 (19:17):
There's a bit of contradicting happening.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
Yeah, I don't know, and talk of rations.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
And then I hope that it doesn't get to such
dire straits that all of a sudden they go all right, right,
we're back, everyone's working from home, nobody's allowed in the car.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (19:29):
I feel like that's going to come.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
And they're just playing at cool, playing cool because they
again don't want to stress anyone out, playing it safe
planet cool, not telling everyone anything, but it's going to come.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
Well, at least your husband and me both have a
immaculate law, big twenty lead jerry can at home stashed
in the garage.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
Right, we're safe, We're good, and.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
We don't have electric lawn mowers because we both have
our testicles.
Speaker 6 (19:54):
This is Crispage and Amy's ride.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
You're off to the movies. Big one coming out this week.
It's called Michael's been a.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
Lot of pipe about there, and all the music movies
have been doing really well. After Bohemian Rhapsody, I think
the Queen one everyone said had a crack. They've done
Elton john Now and Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Yeah, why didn't they put Jackson at the end of
the name of the movie?
Speaker 3 (20:24):
Uh dunna, Yeah, just Michael.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
I love that. My daughter actually corrected you. You remember
that we were on the zoom and you go, oh,
the Michael Jackson's movies out, She goes, It's just.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
Michael, just Michael. You're not going to confuse him with
any other Michaels. When you look at his life story,
you're not going to go, is that Jackson or Boobla?
I'm not sure. No, it's the one that was a child.
Speaker 5 (20:45):
Star, child Yeah, child Star.
Speaker 4 (20:48):
There's always the discussion before these movies about someone's life,
about how true it is going to be. People said
of Bohemian Rhapsody they left out a lot of Freddie
Mercury's more extreme lifestyle.
Speaker 5 (21:03):
I actually loved that movie.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
I love the movie as well.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
But Sasha Baron Cohen who's Borat was originally going to
play Freddie Mercury in it, but he pulled out because
they said, nah, we're going to make the movie sort
of PG raided and not go into the you know,
the drugs and the orgies.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
As much, which he goes, I'm out. Yeah, I'm out.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
That's the only reason I was doing it.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
I want an movie, so I'm doing it. And then yeah,
Ramy Mullet came in and one Oscar. But Michael Jackson
played by Coleman Domingo. It's it's rated PG for mild
themes family violence, family and of course language. That'd be
the dad I reckon when they were kids slapping around.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
The Jackson five a bit. Okay, you know that happened.
Speaker 5 (21:50):
Look, I think it'll.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Be interesting ultimately, at the end of the day, he
was an incredible performer, Like some of his songs will
be played forever, right, Like you can't go to a
wedding or some sort of engagement party or an event
or anything without a Michael Jackson. I don't get the
(22:12):
head wobbles straight away.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
His level of celebrity.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
So when you go back to the nineties, and I
mean how big he was, he was Taylor Swift.
Speaker 3 (22:19):
That was that was big and he.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
Was getting ready to do a tour as well. So
that's what he was doing when he was dying. We're
seeing the footage of all the rehearsals for his big
Comeback World tour. If he hadn't ha died and that
had gone ahead, imagine how big he would it. That'd
give Taylor Swift?
Speaker 1 (22:37):
How old he'd be now? How old would he be now?
Speaker 3 (22:39):
About sixty? I think really?
Speaker 5 (22:41):
Yeah? So still performing probably.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
But as if you wouldn't want to go and see
him as a bucket list thing, go, hey, I was there.
I've seen Michael Jackson life.
Speaker 5 (22:49):
Oh I wish that I had seen him in concert.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
I would watch the movie based on how good the
soundtrack's going to be to it.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Have you got a favorite Michael Jackson song?
Speaker 1 (22:57):
I feel like Smooth Criminal is obviously a crowd pleaser.
Speaker 5 (23:02):
It's a good It's a good one to do.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Do you like any of his ballads?
Speaker 1 (23:04):
About you About to say No?
Speaker 4 (23:17):
One of my favorite Michael Jackson songs. Leads me to
a question i'd have about the movie.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
So this was the time he came out. He said,
it doesn't matter if you're black and white, black, all white?
Black or white?
Speaker 4 (23:31):
Well, because he was black and white, sure, black then white.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Are they gonna who's that in the movie? Is it
the same actor?
Speaker 4 (23:40):
Is it a black actor doing whiteface later in the movie?
Speaker 3 (23:45):
And is that okay? Anyway?
Speaker 4 (23:48):
Michael Jackson the movie called Michael rated PG out this week.
Speaker 6 (23:53):
This is Chris Page and Amy Jerrard. Let's get excited.
Nailed it or feeled it?
Speaker 4 (24:01):
Not here on the radio because that's mainly all fails,
but in our life, yes, what if you nailed this week?
Speaker 3 (24:10):
Let's start with a posit.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
Mine nailed and failed actually is like double ended. Mine
nailed is since turning forty, I'm now super health conscious,
so I've actually started tracking my sleep on my Apple Watch.
Nailed it is that I'm getting a high score every
night because I'm getting adequate amounts of hours, So i
get like a ninety five score, which says, Hi, apparently
(24:31):
I'm killing it now. My failed off the back of
that is the other end of it is that your
sleep is broken down into a wake time, core, rem
and deep. Yes, now realistically deep is the one that
matters the most, Like you want to be getting minimum
an hour to an hour and a half of deep sleep,
(24:51):
because that's where your your brain repairs, and it re
like fixes any muscle.
Speaker 5 (24:57):
It's basically where all of the good stuff.
Speaker 3 (24:59):
It's only a little bit of the night, but it's
the yes, yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
It's the key bit. And then obviously rem core is mems.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
The dreaming, isn't it.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
I don't know if it's Cora or anyway, one of them.
Two basically getting good quantity sleep, but the quality is
dog poo. So my deep sleep I cannot get past
thirty minutes. I'm taking every sleepy milk tea, I'm having
saunas before bed.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
I'm not phone every night.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
No wine is no good, but I'm not looking at
my phone. I'm reading, I'm going to bed earlier. I'm
trying to put myself into a dark room, having a
hot shower.
Speaker 5 (25:38):
Can't get past thirty minutes.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
I was like, what, why, what's happening. I'll tell you
one thing about tracking your sleep. It does make you
a little anxious.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
Yeah, and then you it's like when you've got you've
got to get up early the next day and you're going,
oh god, I've got to get to bed, and you
lie in bed going, oh god, Now it's eleven o'clock
and I'm still not now it's eleven thirty.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
So what I find I'm doing is I'm lying in bed,
going I'm trying to will myself to sleep, like get
to sleep, get to get to the deep part, and
I can't get there. So it's nailed in the sense
where I'm getting decent amount of hours, but it's a
fail because they're all.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
Ship Have you have you tried listening to anything like
like crime podcasts?
Speaker 1 (26:15):
No?
Speaker 4 (26:15):
I was thinking more like, there's this sort of deep
relaxation meditation music.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Maybe I should try that or Nova. What about you?
What's your nailed?
Speaker 5 (26:27):
And failed?
Speaker 1 (26:27):
What's your What's you're nailed? Well?
Speaker 4 (26:29):
I protected my house from fire this week, and I
felt they were doing some back burning right off our street,
very very close, almost across the road. So the smoke
was really bad. But the thing, as you know, you
have to be aware of, is embers that can land
on your.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Dry anywhere grass and start a fire. And when you
were a little girl you lost your house an ember
exactly right. That stayed with me, so I stayed home
all day. A hero, I'm a firefighter, You're actually a hero.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
Yeah, you'll see me in a calendar of firefighters soon
with my shirt open.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
And alla stuff.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
And you know you're going to get sexy firefighter unlikely.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
What's the greasel from the KFC down my chest going?
It's sexy anyway. So yeah, sat at home all day
looking for embers. I saw falling ash.
Speaker 5 (27:16):
No embers.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
God house is still standing, well done, Chris failed. Well
you know I've got the big new TV. Yeah, I
love ye, the big eighty five inch.
Speaker 5 (27:26):
And you get your big armchair in front of it.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
Got a big arm chair now, yeah, that's another nailed it.
Love an armchair recliner changes your life because.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
The new TVs do everything.
Speaker 4 (27:35):
So I was like, oh, you can just look at
the internet and YouTube, and I never realized it was
actually all really good quality, Like you watch everything on YouTube,
it's like four K broadcast quality. I got mucking around
on the internet on the TV and ended up on
a site.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
Grown ups. Sure god only.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
I just went, I've never seen it on an eighty
five inch screen before, I know what it looks like
in HD.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
Eighty five inch.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
On your recliner.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
Yeah, too many ingrown hairs.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
And then I had to go out and meet my
wife and my kids, and we went to the Easter
show wholesome.
Speaker 3 (28:14):
Yeah, left the TV and was it paused?
Speaker 4 (28:18):
Yeah, it was on a it was on like the
menu stage but you know, of all the grotody stuff.
But the TV just sort of had gone to sleep,
so it was a black screen. But I yeah, realized
I'd left it on. Yeah, so I failed that my nail.
That was when we got home from the Easter show.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
I ran into the house quicker than ever.
Speaker 4 (28:37):
I was like when I was fifteen years old getting
the VHS out of the VCR as the car pulled
into the driveway.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
I was that fast. So the kids didn't Oh they
didn't get it. Yeah, they didn't see it.
Speaker 5 (28:50):
Oh that's good of that.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
In four k HD wow old HD. Something right, have
a good day of Ron.
Speaker 3 (28:59):
We're going to go on that note.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
We'll see you tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
Tomorrow at am. We'll do it all again. Yep, okay,
bye bye
