Speaker 2 (00:10):
It's time room Yeah, yeah, yeah, us to wear a
fit bit.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
I love my fitbit. What do you use it for?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Just to see my telemetry? I love telemetry when I'm
watching the Bathurst v Eights. I like to see when
they put all the screens on the screen and you're
watching the cargo through the gears and all that sort
of stuff.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
So does it your fit bit tell you all your
fitness stats and it goes to your phone, and how
fen do you look at it?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:31):
You want to see like, say, for example, let me
just indulge me for a minute. They Amanda, I'm glad
you asked. I'll just go to my fitbit app. So
for example, right now, I had six hours and six
minutes of sleep.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
That's not much.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Exercise days two of five this week. I hang on,
I did exercise on Monday.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Go, you're fighting with your fitbit.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
And my heart right now is beating at seventy one
bits per minute.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I show you this picture of Jennifer Hawkins.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
My resting heartbeat is fifty four.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I have a Apple I watch thing and I'm a
slave to it. I don't look at the results on
the phone. I just look at my watch and see
how many steps I've done. I'm just obsessed with step watch,
very much so because it will say time to move,
and I think I can't move right now, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I'm playing musical chess.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
So I have a And also I might go to
the gym and I'll forget to take it and I'll
go what is the entire point of being here? Why
am I here? I'm only doing it to impress my watch. Well,
the reason I bring this up is that there's such
a thing called Strava. This is where it's a fitness
app where people upload like you do with your fitbit,

(01:53):
onto your own phone, but it keeps your stats of
your fitness levels, how many steps.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Share that with other people can and you can probably.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
I don't do that.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
You can with all of these You can have a
group of friends you share it with. You can see
how you're competitive with people around the world. If you
want to blah blah blah. Well, what's happened now is
people who are taking all this stuff very seriously are
paying others to do the run for them and upload
the info. Yeah, it started in Indonesia. Some young guys
started doing it, and it thought it to be a joke,
and more and more people were asking him to do it,

(02:25):
and now it's become a thing. It's like air tasker
for your fitness. I've sometimes that I'm working with a
dog or she's running around like a fool. Not as
much now because she's getting older. I've wanted to put
my fobit on her and let the steps count for mine.
But I'd noticed that my gate had changed slightly and
I was sniffing bums.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Now that sounds like a man and me tag it
out of the greyhound track of mini.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Because also those apps record all kinds of unusual activity.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Well, remember Ripert Murdoch had a fitbit app. And I
don't know if this is an urban myth or not,
but it's worth talking about. And all the family were
the kids and Rupert and then wife Jerry Hall were
all gathered in on the same fing.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Well, you'd want to see how fit Rupert was, because
I think is today the day.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
And anyway, well he is pretty fit.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Because apparently at nine o'clock at night, there was regular
activity at nine o'clock each night for how long for.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
The prescribed time about five minutes prescribed time. That'll do you, jest,
five minutes is all right. So all the kids were okay, dad,
There's probably enough of that to take doubt off the app.
Let's get off the app. Yeah, I'm pretty impressed with that, Rubert.
He's an old fellow. He's doing all right. I'm suddenly
not getting that action. You look at my fit.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Helen asked some guy in Indonesia to take care of.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
