Speaker 1 (00:01):
And Amanda gem Nation.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
The election isn't the only thing getting heated this weekend.
The always charming and delightful Rehys Nicholson is hitting the
stage with their stand up shot Huge, Big Party. Congratulations,
that's the name of the show. Reese joins us. Now,
High Reese, there is good.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Morning, and I'd like to only talk about coffee commercials? Please?

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Do you remember that particularly commercial that Amanda's referring to.
I thought you'd be too too young?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Oh thank you, oh thank bless you. Wasn't fishing like
what I caught? No, I think I vaguely, I think
I vaguely remember.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
That story of love through coffee.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
When you grew up, was coffee the big deal it
is now because you know everyone's become a coffee points.
In our house, it was International Roast and Pablo and
that was about it. What was it like in your house?

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Yeah, we had we were in a Macona situation, absolutely,
Or if people were over a like a plunger coffee,
like a French bread. One's coming over.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
My daughter comes around to our house now and she
gets them a ConA coffee and just tips half of
it into a cup, and I go, well, excuse me him.
We couse, he lives that's expensive stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
She likes the strong stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
We need, we need to look at what's happening in
your home. Anyways, that's right.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
So can I ask you about the title of your show,
Huge Big Party Congratulations. Tell me what that's encompassing.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Well, like, you know, you have to name the show
before you've written it. But also because this is it's
kind of a short return season of last year' show.
But last year's show was kind of a little bit
about getting married. And when we sent out invites of
when we got married a couple of years ago, my
father in law replied to the invite with just all capitals,

(01:49):
huge big party congratulations, with no punctuation. And he does
not feature in the show. I just thought it was
quite a funny phrase, and I couldn't stop saying it.
And it becomes I've got friends that have started to
say that you know, something good happens in your life.
You go, oh, well, huge big party congratulations.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
Absolutely, And so what kind of stuff are you poking?
Fund it with the election feature in your show?

Speaker 1 (02:09):
I mean, I guess it will almost out of it
being the election, because you know, the election got kind
of pushed back because and so we it's just happened
to be the same night. So everyone vote early in
Western Sydney so you can get to the jone like.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
One of those things where like with my husband used
to go to a charity event with me and the
Bleederslow Cup was on and he'd say, don't tell me
the results. Are you going to have spoiler alerts if
people don't want to know?

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Maybe I'll just have someone standing backstage because I've done
it before, this show in Sydney at the end More
Theater at the last election, I had a sudden memory
about there's something about me. Yeah, and I mean I
guess comedy festivals on it's usually an elections. But yeah,
I don't know what I'll do. It'll be stressful, like
I'll be thinking about it the whole time. And you

(02:59):
know there I work at particular national broadcaster. Sometimes that
really they're like, I wonder if I'll be working next year.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
That's right, depending how that funding is going to go,
you better do good on stage. Research all you've got.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Maybe you get someone from the Trumpet of Patriots to
read it.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
There we go. We can build, we can build the
Titanic and I can work on the show. You, I
can work on the both of.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
You can serve the a kona Ah.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
That's you know what, truly though, I'd be happy with that.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
That sounds like a happy life.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
I think this is all the fixings for a great show,
rece And really we know what you deliver. You always
deliver the goods.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
You deliver the huge big party congratulations every time.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Big party congratulations.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
And you know what, I want to go and be
that person that just writes in capitals. You get to
that point where you just don't.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
What Donald Trump does and share does it? Share does it?
And your father in law Reese.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
So maybe that's a thing. Yeah, I want to like
and in your handwriting as well, like no amount, Jess,
and like block letters and that you that when we're
watching you write, you have a really focused look on
your face and you're moving very slowly.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
They're the letters we don't open.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
You're writing like.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
A serial killer.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
Yeah, your tongues kind of off to the side a
little bit.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Huge, big party, congratulations, all capitals. Head to Reyes Nicholson
dot com dot a you Reese, thank you for joining us.

Speaker 1 (04:21):

whole time, and I really appreciate it.

Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
