Speaker 2 (00:14):
Playlists, and listen live on the free iHeart app. Here's
and Man's cut Man is cutting room on the cutting
room floor today, friendy.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
There's lots of stories around people looking for a side hustle,
just a way to earn a bit of money on
the side. What would you do if you had a
side hustle? Brain surgery?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Say jiglo ai See that's my main hustle, is it? Yeah? Okay?
Do you want to see my rate car? I reckon
I could do some mates rates for you again.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
UK. Dad has turned do into doe and what I
mean by that incredible pun is his side hustle is
picking up dog pooh for other people and it's earned
him over thirty thousand dollars a year. Right, you're taking notes?

(01:17):
How does it work out? He's a buildup and was
inspired to start the business, which he is called Pet
Pooh Pick after seeing on Instagram in the US all
the people that employ others to pick up their dog
pooh in the backyard. Yeah, in the backyard. So he says,
it's big in America, so we thought we'd give it
a whirl. There's only a few people doing it in
the UK, so we went on Facebook, posted a nad

(01:40):
left it for a while and sure enough the post
went viral and a whole lot of people have now
made him a professional pooper scooper. He's got thirty five
regular customers. He says, I do fifteen customers on a Wednesday,
twenty on a Saturday. He charges forty dollars for the
original visit and twenty per week afterwards. So he says
he's picking up roughly fourteen pieces of pooh per garden. Really,

(02:03):
I guess it's a week's worth. We use a scooper
and a bag and it takes fifteen minutes per garden.
So he then after he's picked up the pooh, he
disinfects the area to ensure there's no trace left. So
he said, some people think that the people that are
getting their dog poop picked up are lazy, but he
said a lot of them are elderly. You can't bend

(02:24):
over time time poor. He goes to say he's going
once a week. What if he comes at says sixth
say four in the afternoon on Wednesday and your dog
does something dreadful an hour after he goes, you got
to wait a whole week week from the comeback. Yeah,
that did annoy you. I'd put a I'd put a
cork in the dog's bum and release it well as

(02:47):
you get close to the to the weekly time.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yeah, okay, be like when one of those damns you
see on YouTube.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Or when someone lets the champagne sets the champagne go
and of go into your eyeball.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
You've got some cleaning to door, are you do? You?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Are you squamish about picking up dog poop?

Speaker 2 (03:02):
No? No, I've had a dog and I've picked up
dog poop. But it doesn't bother me. Now it doesn't,
and it doesn't feel unsettling. Though when you've got your
hand on the plastic bag and you feel.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
The heat of well, it's even worse. Can I say?
If you're at the dog park and your dog does
a poo and you go over the plastic bag and
you put your hand on it, and you expect a
warm one and it's a cold one. Oh yeah, it's
someone else's dog poop that I don't know why that
is disturbing happy. It's like, I guess with your babies
and nappies or adults whatever, it is happy to look

(03:34):
after yourself and your own dog. But I'm a bit
I don't want to walk around picking up other people's
dog poop.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
No, and you live in a beachside suburb as well,
so as a good chance that that pooh could be
backpack of pooh.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I don't know, you know, you know if it is,
you know you do. It's funny, isn't it. And this
is obviously a survival mechanism for humans. Is you know,
if it's human poop, if there's someone squatting over it,
a shamous get off.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Okay, kids, that's it today.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Come bore.
