He is going to be hosting the LOGI swapping his
car keys as they said, for a penguin suit, and
he joins us, Now, Robert.

The story? Robert obviously is hosting.

you've always been both of you. We consider you like
like an extended member of the family.

But you know, years ago, I was just saying to Amanda,
We're on a TV show called Clever and you were
just born, and I was on the panel with your dad.
Amanda was on the panel with Terry, you know, and
it was just, you know, I'm so proud of you.
I think it's such a great thing. He turned into
such a fine young man. Don't tell we all know,
but I can't believe you're twenty two.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
Like it feels like you're about You're like Highland. You
feel like a lot older than what you are. Oh well,
you know.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
I I'm very, very grateful for my parents for what
they what they created, not only this this amazing legacy
that I get to continue, but also just the example
of what it is to live life with passion, with empathy,
treating every living being the way you would.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
Wish to be treated.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
And my job is to amplify this amazing message that
they pioneered to a new generation and that is incredibly special.
And every time I talk to you guys and I
hear stories about you know, when your paths cross, particularly
with Dad and with my mum along the way, it's
very meaningful.

And I'm proud to be on the path that I am.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
And I'm always represent representing Australia at Australia Zoo. I mean,
I'm in khaki right now. I try to convince the
legis to let me wear this. But you know, I
always represent my family.

But when your incredible success in the States, you're not
a guy ever to be up yourself, but you must
have been surrounded by a lot of up yourself ossity.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
It's a technical term, yes, yourself posity. I like that, yes.

And you learn very very very quickly when you are
in the public eye in anyway.

You don't listen to comments. You don't listen to.

The noise, whether it's good, bad, or indifferent, you don't
listen to it.

You run your own race.

And for me, I'm like, I'm a conservationist.

I'm a zoo keeper from Bea. That's what I am,
you know, And so I have this cause and this
mission behind it all.

And it means it's the waters are never cloudy, it's
never muddy.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
I'm pretty clear, I know my true north.

I'm finding some pretty weird and wacky ways to get
the message out there, but that message is always you know,
that's the truth. But yeah, you can't listen to all
the superfluous stuff.

Because but that's what your dad used to say.

And unfortunately you're sounding too charming.

You're not helping our campaign for a man, Can you
be a bit of an a hole?

Well, let's talk about you hosting on the night. What
style of a host will you be?

Think it's going to be a little different, you know,
and I love watching Sampaign of course when he hosted,
and and this is going to be a very different vibe.
But I want this to be you know, we're celebrating
seventy years Ozzie TV. So I want it to be
like a celebration of all the legends that have made
this what it is, and a celebration the next generation
that are going to come up and hopefully keep going

for the next seventy years. You know, it's fun, it's theatrical.
There's going to be some real wildlife moments in there.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
As well, really some dancing.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
Well let's just say maybe the ballroom shoes might have
to get a little du yes, yes, so no, It's
going to be big and bold and bright, and I
just want to lift everyone up and I want everyone
to have a good laugh, a good time.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
And we're still going to be poking fun, but most
of that's going to be directed at me.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
That's the thing. I think in those COVID years, we
all realized how important television is to us.
Speaker 3 (04:58):

I think some cynicism has dropped away.

Okay, and I think we need to remember. Like I
talk about this with my generation. You know, it is
so in the zeitgeist of every thing that we say,
and it's in our vernacular and Ossie TV is so
embedded in our culture. And you know, I look at
my mom and dad, look at the incredible things they
could do, the stories they could tell, the adventures they

brought everyone on through through TV, and and you know
it's alive.

And well, and I want to bring the new generation
in on that.
