Speaker 1 (00:00):
Amanda.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
You're listening to the Jonesy and Amanda podcast.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
The Jonesy and Amanda Show.
Speaker 4 (00:13):
Georgeous Amanda, Mistress Amanda is delivering discipline.
Speaker 5 (00:16):
It hurts, but someone's got to do Amanda, Madamanda.
Speaker 6 (00:21):
And the virile Jonesy.
Speaker 7 (00:24):
Heard them describe him as a drunken idiot, stay in school.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
And learned school.
Speaker 8 (00:29):
Yeah, okay, jones and Amanda, those are names that you
would never forget.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Shot. Well, hello, the happy Tuesday to you, Amanda.
Speaker 5 (00:39):
Well, Tuesday always means one thing for us, tin hats.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Well, this is us tin hats.
Speaker 5 (00:45):
There was a comma for us, Comma tin hats, not
us tin hat.
Speaker 7 (00:49):
We can stop at any time if you want to
stop it, you can stop.
Speaker 5 (00:52):
I mean, I'm enjoying that people are enjoying it. Do
you know? The one that people have really liked is
the one I found about Macha. This has had one
hundred and fifteen views across our socials, one point five
million views. I meant to say, and this the conspiracy
is that Big Japan has sold us all on the
(01:12):
idea of Marcha to get us used to drinking swampy water.
Because when the AI data centers are all installed, they
would take all the fresh water, and so by drinking
swamp water, we're getting used to Marcha. And of the
one point five million, half are saying yep, and half
a saying I don't think so. And that's the what
(01:34):
I love about tinat Tuesday. You don't have to agree
with everything you're hear.
Speaker 7 (01:38):
But can't they just cool it down with other watery subjects. Well,
that's a great northern beer, for example.
Speaker 5 (01:44):
Well maybe maybe it's the same thing that's for the tag.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
I've never drunk Marcha.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
I've had it once when I was in Japan. I
thought it was the most delicious thing I've ever.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Had had it now, so it tastes like green tea,
like no, but it.
Speaker 5 (01:55):
Was light and creamy. And then I had it out
in the street and it was hideous. So I really
as the hotel had loaded it with sugar.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Oh yeah, right, was nice.
Speaker 7 (02:03):
It's like Asahi otherwise, not the beer asa.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
You know the Sai bowls.
Speaker 7 (02:09):
The Asai bowls, Well, the Asai bowls are sweet on back.
Yeah they're not because they put all the bisc off
on there and all the other stuff.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
It's supposed to be its supposed to be healthy for it.
Speaker 7 (02:18):
I was at Noosa and I looked at the no
Rgan Dice ice cream place, yet no queue whatsoever. But
across the road at the Asahi place there's this this
giant Q and I said to the Hargendace person, I said,
how comes? He said, that's got the same fat.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
What are they queued up for it? It's just marketing.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
It is just marketing. I just don't understand. Maybe this
could be a pub test one day. Why people buy
ice cream in winter?
Speaker 1 (02:47):
I barely bite of ice cream in winter? You know
what I do? Lately?
Speaker 5 (02:50):
Queue up around the block to buy ice cream in winter?
Speaker 1 (02:53):
People? Do you know? My thing is?
Speaker 7 (02:55):
Recently I get like two chocolate chip cookies, just the
standard variety, normal size chocolate chip at home, at home,
and I get a scooba the Sarah Lee vanilla bean.
Speaker 5 (03:05):
Ice cream, and you make yourself an ice cream sound yeah.
Speaker 7 (03:07):
But just with like it's literally a tablespoon of ice cream.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
It's still two biscuits. Don't you make it sound like
it's a diet food. It's just a scoop, a tiny.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
Week taste, and it's you know, I don't.
Speaker 5 (03:20):
Happen to have a sweet tooth. If you could put
salt and vinegar chips in ice cream, I'd love it.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Well, that's for another time when we do TikTok Tucker.
Speaker 7 (03:28):
But today is tin Hat Tuesday and doctor Carl Kruzenewski.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Is going to be joining us on the show.
Speaker 6 (03:33):
Jams the Street of Jonesy and amandas.
Speaker 7 (03:41):
Five questions the past five is here. We grew you
a bit these different categories. You could be a superhero
and go all the way and answer all five questions correctly.
Speaker 5 (03:49):
If you do that, Amanda will benally have to answer
question five correctly and if you do, get it on
a limited twelve months a Mason plan.
Speaker 7 (03:56):
Richards in Croydon, Which Croydon, Croydon, Croydon or Croydon, Creuden?
Speaker 8 (04:00):
Richard Croydon, Croydon, Croydon in Melbourne.
Speaker 5 (04:03):
Okay, Richard, he's question number one for you of Croydon, Croydon, Croyden.
What's the name for the tired feeling you get after
a long flight across various time zones?
Speaker 9 (04:14):
Flag?
Speaker 1 (04:15):
It's by a riff raff, you may understand.
Speaker 6 (04:23):
Gotta keep out the riff rap?
Speaker 1 (04:25):
What song fin features this riff? Richard?
Speaker 5 (04:40):
Yeah, what's that song Richard?
Speaker 8 (04:42):
Cream by?
Speaker 10 (04:43):
Is?
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Can I just take issue with Jim?
Speaker 9 (04:47):
I right?
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Why it's not really a riff. It's not a riff?
Speaker 7 (04:52):
Is like Welcome to the Jungle, and you know there's
something like that, not cream by Prince Richard.
Speaker 5 (04:58):
Do you think it's a riff?
Speaker 8 (05:01):
I do?
Speaker 5 (05:01):
I do too? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (05:03):
Yeah, I like you a great I.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Think so too, Jonesy, I did did you hear me?
I asked him? Question three?
Speaker 7 (05:12):
How many digits are there in the number one trillion?
Speaker 11 (05:18):
Oh?
Speaker 8 (05:18):
Gee?
Speaker 9 (05:21):
Ten?
Speaker 5 (05:22):
No more than ten? Can you believe it?
Speaker 1 (05:26):
You're gonna go a bit higher? Danielle is in Taylor's Hill.
Speaker 5 (05:30):
Hi, Danielle, Hello, do you know how many digits there
are in the number one trillion?
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Oh?
Speaker 12 (05:37):
God, hey, no, no, let me say it out loud.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
It's not ten. It's more than ten.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Take a peek behind the scenes. Follow Jonesy and Amanda
on Instagram and Facebook.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Gold Hello, there it is Jonesy Demanda driving you home.
Speaker 7 (05:56):
We're just having some spirited debate about one of the
segments in the five Riffraff A riff, it's a riff.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Allow me to take the controls for a minute, there, Ryan,
this is a riff. Highway to Hell.
Speaker 5 (06:10):
It's a good riff.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Is a riff, Welcome to the jungle. That's not a
riff that. This is a riff, a smelting riff.
Speaker 5 (06:21):
No, the riff is the bit that is the recurring
moment in a song.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
This is a riff.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
That is a riff.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
So just so we're on the same page.
Speaker 5 (06:34):
Where that's a mid riff. Well we are playing riff raff.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
No, we've already done that.
Speaker 5 (06:42):
We've already done it.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Let me do the DJ stuff, play the intro to.
Speaker 6 (06:46):
The jonesy and demands, and you can do all the
talented bits.
Speaker 5 (06:53):
All right, Brendan, I appreciate it. How many digits are
in the number one trillion? Jed of Kingslake, Hey, young guys,
I reckon, it's thirty? How many.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
It is?
Speaker 5 (07:07):
Thirteen? That's a one and twelve zeros? And we realize
that Elon musk Yep is the world's first trillionaire.
Speaker 7 (07:16):
Good news for you, though, Jed, you are closer to
Jeff Bezos in the billionaire steakes than he is too.
Speaker 5 (07:23):
O mate, Well, we shouldn't forget how rich Jeff Bezos is,
so we don't lose sight of how much money these
people actually have.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Jeff has got one eighty nine billion.
Speaker 5 (07:31):
I think, no, eight hundred and forty eight billion or
something like that. I'll give or take a billion.
Speaker 10 (07:37):
You know.
Speaker 5 (07:37):
I have trouble with my zeros, which is why I
have trouble at Telephons. And I said that that small
boy from Grafton Public School that pledged eighteen gazillion dollars. Sorry? Everyone?
Speaker 1 (07:47):
What year was the first iPhone release? Jed?
Speaker 8 (07:52):
I believe that was two thousand and seven.
Speaker 7 (07:54):
It was two thousand and seven. Sam Peng stares in
the new This is for Question five?
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Jed.
Speaker 7 (07:59):
Sam Pang stars in the new comedy series ground Up.
It follows the creation of what new AFL team?
Speaker 1 (08:08):
I believe that's the team and is the do you
know their name?
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Tigers?
Speaker 5 (08:17):
The other Tazzy Bits?
Speaker 9 (08:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (08:19):
Sorry, Jed.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Paula's in Frankston, h Paula.
Speaker 5 (08:22):
I they are a Tasmanian team. They're not the Tazzy Tigers.
What are they?
Speaker 7 (08:30):
I was in Hobart and I walked past their merchandise shop.
Speaker 5 (08:33):
What did you get?
Speaker 1 (08:33):
I didn't get anything. I'm not a supporter.
Speaker 5 (08:35):
Fascinating story.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
I gotta tell you. I shop I love their logo.
It looks really good. It's a little Tasmanian devil, you know.
I feel like I'm remember the Warner Brothers one.
Speaker 7 (08:51):
Not so it's enough to acroach any copyright, but it
looks menacing enough, because that's what you need.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
It's hard to name a foot side you look.
Speaker 7 (09:00):
At it while you look at the Swans when they
come up with the Swans, because.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
The Swans aren't really high swans.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
They're on the cars.
Speaker 9 (09:09):
Here.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
You got a new Guinea. They were working with their
new one.
Speaker 7 (09:12):
They've got the chiefs, but they toyed with the Papua
New Guinea crocodiles.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
And when are they going to call them the predators?
Speaker 1 (09:17):
The predators? It's anklets the predators. That just doesn't work.
Speaker 7 (09:23):
Congratulations to you, Paula, you have won the jam packets
all coming your way, an unlimited twelvemonth a Masi plan
Escape your pricey Telco with great mobile deals at a
Mason Oh.
Speaker 8 (09:35):
Thanks joining and Amanda pull like.
Speaker 5 (09:37):
You are well.
Speaker 7 (09:38):
Textbook listener feedback, Pauler, someone's taking umbridge at my comments
about Prince. We're doing riffraff in the Fast five. It's
to identify the riff of the song. I would just
like to say I have no problem with Prince. I
love Prince. I worshiped the table of Prince. But in
the segment riff raff, I think the riff from Cream
(10:00):
his song is not as good as other riffs.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
That we could have used.
Speaker 5 (10:03):
But this competition isn't what's got the best riff, it's
what song is this? By guessing it by the wrong I.
Speaker 7 (10:08):
Was just dressing down. A younger colleague might RYE for
selecting that. And I just thought you could have used
purple rain. That's a smoke and reef from Prince.
Speaker 11 (10:20):
You do the quizzes yourself.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
I'm out to had it.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
You can't even give any feedback anymore.
Speaker 5 (10:28):
Because I want to talk about the fief of World Cup.
What about this? I'm going to give you some information.
It's going to be stunning to you. Are you ready
to hear it?
Speaker 1 (10:35):
I love it.
Speaker 5 (10:36):
Apparently anyone who has beaten Turkey has gone on, Thank you, Brendan,
grow up. Anyone who's beaten the Turkish football team.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Or Turkey as they.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
Like, football team, has gone on to win the World
Cup no way. Nineteen fifty four, West Germany beat Turkey twice.
YEP went on to win the World Cup two thousand
and two World Cup Brazil beat Turkey twice. YEP went
on to win the World Cup. Can I'm just bringing
Tralia beat Turkeys going on to win the World Cup.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Can I bring in Jemi Raye? He is our resident
soccer expert.
Speaker 11 (11:10):
Look, this sounds good to me. Turkey is a great team.
So to meet them, you know, that's a big deal.
It's a massive deal.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
We can do it. Why not?
Speaker 5 (11:17):
We can do it. Let me talk about some of
the incredible outfits the teams are wearing. I tell you
who caught my eye, the Congo. Let me show you
those incredible outfits. They look amazing.
Speaker 7 (11:31):
I'm a bit disappointed they're standing side by side. I
was kind of hoping they'd be in a Congo line.
Speaker 5 (11:36):
I dare to tell don't laugh, right, I do to
go and tell them that because look how strapping and
they're wearing black suits.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
They look good with.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
An animal like a leopard helt across their shoulders.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
It's like in coming to America.
Speaker 5 (11:53):
Was he from the Congo?
Speaker 1 (11:55):
I think they weren't from the Conco.
Speaker 5 (11:57):
But they also are carrying these big bags made from
this same leopard pelt. They look so powerful and so incredible,
so cool. This is their first appearance in fifty two
years at a World Cup. Wow, and they are dressed
to impress. I liked watching the Australians, who look terrific
in their suits getting off the team bus before the
(12:17):
first game.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
What were suits? Something from Kelly Country.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
Obviously they wore them do their six form formals and
they're wearing them again. Now there's really nice suits here.
You've got exhibit A in front of Oh they look
they look like those sort of all the suits those
young men wear, the kind.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Of taty and like real estate agents.
Speaker 5 (12:35):
They're carrying what looks like little toilet bags, as if
they've got their shaving and their toothpaste in there, and
like that's what they were carrying these. But what I
find fascinating that the reason I've mentioned the bag is
that I've got some footage here of the French team landing.
They're in their casual clothes, but look at their handbags.
They're not man bags. They are full what I would
(12:58):
say women's handbags.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
It looks like he's holding his wife's handbag.
Speaker 5 (13:02):
Well, that looks like a giant Chanelle handbag, a really
big one. The other guy looks like he's carrying what
looks like a Burken, which is a very lusted after
women's handbag. There it's not like they're carrying funky luggage,
about actually carrying handbag.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
How much are they worth?
Speaker 5 (13:20):
Oh, thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars? Some of
those Burkens you have to go on a waiting list
to get one.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
To get one. This one was it Indiana Jones? He
had a satchel.
Speaker 5 (13:30):
Yeah, this isn't a satchel. Nothing wrong with having a
se This is not a satchel. But I saw one
guy online and who's just kind of OUTRAGEDUS Englishman about
what the French and what the modern footballer looks like.
Speaker 10 (13:43):
Anyone see the France team turn up to World Cup
with their handbags? Handbags? Yes you're right, Earlin Harland. Also
the big Viking dad Alfie Island was out battling Roy
Keane and his son is turning up to a World
Cup with a handbag. I have never felt further away
from football than I have in this World Cup. This
(14:03):
World Cup is the most commercialized, whitewashed showish I have
ever seen. Every single thing about it is fake.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
I can't resonate with any of them.
Speaker 10 (14:13):
When we came home from the World Cup in the nineties,
gaz up beer in ann, big plastic straps on his chest,
every single one of us. When I can see me
in that guy, name one footballer you can see yourself
in anymore.
Speaker 5 (14:29):
All I know is after Australia that Congo is my
next favorite team.
Speaker 1 (14:33):
I would like to see him come off the plane
in a line.
Speaker 5 (14:36):
I'll let you put that to them, jem damn Well,
he's the man who can make belly button lint, black
holes and breakfast cereals sound equally fascinating. He's a doctor,
as scientist, a broadcaster, an author and one of Australia's
most loved explainers of all things. I'm talking, of course,
about doctor Carl, who joins us now.
Speaker 9 (14:55):
He is.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Doctor Amada.
Speaker 7 (14:58):
You're too kind and publiss you hmm, well, you look
well and you're a snappy dresser.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
Is your wife Mary still making your shirts?
Speaker 4 (15:05):
Four thread overlocker differential feed takes three hours from cutting
the material out to wearable form on the body.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
Right nice?
Speaker 5 (15:11):
I love it when you say interlocker.
Speaker 7 (15:13):
Doctor Carl Today is tin Hat Tuesday on our radio show.
I don't know if you'd be familiar with this, but
what it is is people Amanda gets us to wear
aluminion foil hats to stop the bad What is it?
Speaker 5 (15:26):
Well, I don't know what I think people. I'm not
a believer in this, but I think people wear the
tin hats to stop the government or alien thoughts getting in,
I think might be what it is. But we do
end up smelling a bit like garlic bread.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
And then people ring in with their conspiracy theories.
Speaker 7 (15:42):
The first question I would ask you is do you
have any conspiracy theories ones that you think, oh, that
would be fair enough.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
Yes, the government has lied to us in the past,
and so the statement that these carrots because they're good
for your eyes is a stable who was started by
the British government during the Second World War to cover
up the fact that the British military had radar that
was small enough to be carried on an airplane, not
(16:12):
just on the ground, but on an aeroplane, and so
to cover it up they would say, oh, there isn't
our pilots confined at night? The incoming Nazi bombers is
because they eat carrots to improve their eyesight, and it
was just a lie to cover up the fact they
had small airborne radar.
Speaker 5 (16:29):
Wow, what do you make of some of the bigger conspiracies?
And every week someone will phone us with a conspiracy
theory that the moon landing didn't happen, and it breaks
my heart every time. How do you feel when science
and the hard work in the bravery is negated by
a couple of millennials.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
It goes back a fair way and people trying to
make a short term advantage. And I think it's part
of a bigger problem, which is the lack of trust
in our societiety and the government. And so that then
leads on to a lack of trust in science because
that's an easy target. And so in the United States,
(17:10):
having been free of measles for twenty years, they're now finding,
thanks to their anti vaccination programs, that they're getting minor
clusters of measles which have led to small outbreaks, which
have led to big outbreaks. And the current thinking is
that if they do nothing and in other words, don't
do any more vaccinations, this will turn into a full
(17:31):
blown epidemic of measles across the USA, and many more
people will die and it's totally preventable. So I think
it's due to a lack of trust in institutions. And
then he's saying who's driving it, Well, people who will
benefit from it, and in many cases just simply I
want to get some money from you from buying one newsletter,
or I want to get some clicks, or I want
(17:53):
to get more likes. That's as simple as that.
Speaker 7 (17:55):
In many cases, I'm a product of the generation of measles. Measles,
but then I got vaccinated for it as well back
in the seventies and it was pretty rife.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
I'd hate to see that come back again.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
But give me one of your favorite conspiracy theories that
one of your listeners has come up with. I'll see
if I can address a gentle well.
Speaker 7 (18:12):
Okay, So this is Rob Rober is a regular to
tin Hat Tuesday. So he says that the Alcatraz escapees
were actually the NASA astronauts that went to the moon.
Speaker 9 (18:25):
Michael Collins was known as Frank Morris, Armstrong was known
as Clarence England and buzz Aldrin was John England.
Speaker 5 (18:35):
And why did they change their names?
Speaker 8 (18:37):
Rob, Because they are the Alcatraz escapes.
Speaker 5 (18:43):
They escape from Alcatraz to become astronauts.
Speaker 8 (18:46):
They were given a pardon if they would join in
and comply.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
But what about all the training for years they would
have had to.
Speaker 8 (18:53):
Do to do? What to go where?
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Ah?
Speaker 1 (18:59):
And then the penny drop, penny drops.
Speaker 5 (19:02):
He thinks they went nowhere.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
And so the only people you can get who will
accept this money people from Alcatraz, like an out of
work actor wouldn't do it.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
You make a good point, someone from home and away.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
You could have had Rayma, Flame and Moon. That one.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
I'd need to see some of the evidence for it,
And evidence for me is not a YouTube video. So
in my various careers, I've done a little bit of
research and it takes about a year and a half
to learn how to do research, not just simply watching
a YouTube video three o'clock in the morning.
Speaker 5 (19:40):
Well there it is that rules me out.
Speaker 7 (19:43):
You always give us the spades of sense on our show,
and we always enjoy having you on, Doctor Carl, Thank you.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
Please, Mum, beans, you're listening to the Jonesy and Demander podcast. Now,
by the miracle of recording, Jones and a man don'd be.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
And Amanda, those are two great needs.
Speaker 7 (20:03):
I'm not a scatters the chemistry between them, but how
much of that?
Speaker 5 (20:06):
Relign your own business and shut your piehole.
Speaker 8 (20:08):
I wish you were with your show.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Have you noticed lately the government just to be seems
to be right on.
Speaker 7 (20:13):
With all these TV ads and safety messages and things
like that and breaking news. On the twenty seventh of July,
every phone in Australia will sound a loud test emergency alert.
Speaker 5 (20:25):
Which has come up on my phone. So on the
twenty second of July, every single smartphone in Australia will
have a loud emergency alert. It'll be able to sound
an immediate loud sign to all mobile device's, phone, smart watches, tablets.
It'll override silent and do not disturb mode. It'll reach
every phone with an active SIN and SIN or active
(20:48):
SIN I've seen your phone, and may reach those without
as well.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Yeah, and they're testing at two pm. Well yeah, I
was reading this.
Speaker 7 (20:55):
So in Western Australia on Friday at good morning twelve
o'clock on they're going to test it there. Then Tenant
Creek this Thursday at ten am, then Cooya Beach, are
New and Wonga Beach in Queensland. Oh that's today too.
Actually they've already had it. They had it at too.
Liverpool will be Wednesday four pm, Queen being on Sunday.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
So these are just being tested.
Speaker 7 (21:21):
Yeah, and Geelong on Thursday at two pm. So that's
just Lincoln on Saturday.
Speaker 5 (21:29):
That's the testing for all eleven am, all of us
are going to have that happen on the twenty seventh
of July at two pm is to standard time.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
Do we know what it sounds like? The thing? Jami
Rice waving his hands away.
Speaker 11 (21:42):
I've found what the siren will sound like.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
I like this.
Speaker 5 (21:48):
Where the sweet we're trying to Ryan, We're trying to
give serious trying to give serious information.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Actually this is for real.
Speaker 5 (21:58):
Okay, that'll do. We can't frighten people. That's what it
will sound like. To not be alarmed. It's only a
test to what end, I don't know, to alert us
to Delta's new album.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
I don't know to what end. Well, there you go.
I hope we've helped you be informed.
Speaker 5 (22:14):
Coming up next to me talking a bit about some
of the stories around the FIFA World Cup, and it
seems a lot of the players are trying to use
their personal brand for messaging, for health messages, for social
for mental health messages. The captain of the American team
has a very interesting backstory and he's using it to
help kids. It's a brave man who'll put his hand
(22:35):
up to this. I'll tell you what his story is next.
I'm intrigued some more fee for stories. The US captain,
his name is tim Reem.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
Tim Reem, tim Reem.
Speaker 5 (22:46):
Many players and teams are looking for I'm not going
to say relevance, but looking for causes and ways that
they can make their profile mean something. And good on
him because he's talking about something that is embarrassing for kids.
But it's kind of shocking that every time the captain
of the US team is interviewed, he willingly talks about
(23:08):
this thing that he did when he was a kid,
and he's now doing a series of ads. Have listened
to one.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
What would I tell my younger self.
Speaker 12 (23:19):
I know, bad wedding feels big when you're better, but
you should know it's not your fault.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
Good nights are here protecting you through the name, so you.
Speaker 7 (23:29):
Can keep dreaming big.
Speaker 5 (23:33):
So you can keep dreaming big. So obviously he as
a child, he talks a lot about how he was
a bedweather, which is a great cause to be involved in.
But he's involved with a campaign for Good Nights, which
is something kids wear.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
It's like a pull up. I imagine it is for
a bigger kid.
Speaker 5 (23:48):
Yeah, so it's unusual to have him talk so openly
about this, But it's also seems a bit weird that
he's aligned with a product. I don't know, he's another ad. Hey, Tim,
were you embarrassed of bed wedding as a kid?
Speaker 11 (24:03):
Yes, I really was.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
What helped you stop feeling ashamed about it?
Speaker 10 (24:06):
Knowing that I could still achieve my dreams even though
I was bed wedding Good Nights never stop dreaming.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Well, you know it's a thing, poor little kids.
Speaker 5 (24:16):
I know it is a thing. It just seems and
maybe this is the bravest thing ever. Is the US
captain talking about it?
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Pretty brave?
Speaker 5 (24:22):
It is brave. It's weird that there's a product associated
with his chat. Well yeah, the interview, he sits down too.
He talks about being a bed weather.
Speaker 7 (24:30):
Yeah, I thought with rem a name like rem, you
know install a rem.
Speaker 5 (24:36):
You used to be a bed weather. From what you've
told me, I was so you just said there's nothing
to be embarrassed about it. Now you're embarrassed to share it.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Okay.
Speaker 7 (24:44):
I used to sleep walk and wei and my mom
had to stay.
Speaker 5 (24:49):
They wouldn't went to bed, you'd want other things.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Yeah, my mom had to stop me from wee or
my brother.
Speaker 5 (24:53):
Really, and you pretended you're asleep.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
We were eighteen at the time. He was the one
who had to wear a good night so you had
to get a bit in a nana rak. That's great,
that's a very great.
Speaker 5 (25:12):
It's never too late, Brendan to seek help.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
Jones and Amanda Cant shut up on the Jonesy and
Amanda podcast. Download the free iHeart APT.
Speaker 7 (25:19):
I don't think we have to fix the tin hat
as Ahaa fading out. I don't think that matters so much.
I think you're waving around. You were actually waving around that.
We've got to read some PEP.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
What's it good? It was the protective stuff you used
to wear during the pandemic.
Speaker 5 (25:34):
Condom No PCP, PCP.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
That's a drug. That's angel dust I love it. Pp
I was out of it most of the time. You
just going crazy, as if there's asbestos in this room.
Speaker 5 (25:50):
The thing is we have to wear our tin hats
every time we talk about this. Otherwise, Jenna, our social
media person, puts the imagery on social media and we
just look like nutjobsalking about it.
Speaker 7 (26:01):
The executive producer of the show said, you look a
little unhinged when you talk about this.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
Without a tin hat.
Speaker 7 (26:07):
So he grown a woman that manages this show and
has a child and a husband, a mortgage.
Speaker 5 (26:12):
I have a couple of conspiracy theories to get the
ball rolling, these ones that have crossed my desk this week.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
You don't even have a desk.
Speaker 5 (26:20):
Do you remember Timothy McVeigh. He was the Oklahoma bomber. Bomber,
he has been executed. This is what it says here.
They told me he worked alone, or they told you
he worked alone. They told you the Oklahoma City bombing
was domestic terrorism with no loose ends. They told you
photos don't lie. But what if the man they executed
wasn't the man that they arrested at all? So they've
(26:43):
put his face side by side with a special agent,
Paul Whips the Pal, a federal law enforcement officer, and
apparently people have analyzed the telemetrics. If that's a word
of their faces and have decided they're the same person,
different names for an identities, same face, coincidence, it says
(27:06):
here or a swap. They hoped you'd never notice, and
you think, well, what's the point of it? And they
say it's just there's no stream media is asking the
big question, what else are they sliding past us while
you're looking at the flag?
Speaker 1 (27:19):
Pay? Yeah, that's one right.
Speaker 5 (27:22):
How about this one? This woman from Brazil has predicted
something extraordinary. She's a soothsayer, she is a spiritualist, she's
a clevoyant, and she has said that something extraordinary is
going to happen in Miami on the twenty fourth of
June during a match. He's one guy describing it.
Speaker 3 (27:43):
Have you heard about this prediction from a Brazilian psychic
claiming that something massive is about to happen over a
major sporting event on June twenty fourth. Her name is
Vo Bahayana, and she's saying that on that date, a
UFO mothership will appear over a major sporting event in Miami,
and in that moment, we'll have undeniable proof that we're
not alone in the universe, proof that interdimensional extraterrestrial alien
(28:04):
beings are here. She's also claiming that her vision showed
her that seven hundred people from attendees to players will
be taken up into this craft and they'll be told
that they have a role in saving humanity.
Speaker 7 (28:16):
Imagine the craft comes over, these people go up and
you're down.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
They gonna hang out. I can do stuff.
Speaker 5 (28:22):
What would your special skill be to save humans?
Speaker 1 (28:24):
I'd like to put some John mellencamp on.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
I couldn't start a fire by rubbing too.
Speaker 7 (28:32):
You'll walk straight into the intake of their rocket ship,
you know, and get blown up.
Speaker 5 (28:36):
They are saying it's going to be during the Brazil
versus Scotland match. I might abduct Sam Hewan from outlanda
I'll just take advantage of all the Scottish people being
there so anyway, that is another prediction that vau Bahahana
has predicted that seven hundred people will be sucked up
into the mothership.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
Tinat Tuesday is now and says, if you have.
Speaker 5 (28:56):
A conspiracy theory you'd like to share with us, please
let us know.
Speaker 7 (28:59):
We'd love to hear from you. No judgment here, Gema.
It is tin Hat Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
Do you believe in that the world is flat?
Speaker 7 (29:06):
I don't know what my favorite one is, tell me
the moment Australia isn't real?
Speaker 1 (29:13):
Where all actors? You me, Jim y Raie? Where all actors?
Speaker 5 (29:17):
If someone was going to play you, I think they
do a bit of job.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
I think that mister hunky pants is playing mate.
Speaker 5 (29:22):
You're seeing the one that pandas aren't real because they're
improbable and they were never painted in Chinese history until
like the nineteen forties. As if they didn't exist before then, what.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
Was that cartoon book that had pandas.
Speaker 5 (29:35):
In it before the nineteen forties. I'm thinking the person
acting you is confused.
Speaker 7 (29:41):
I'm thinking Babar with the elephants? Bah, what's the matter
with you?
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Helful?
Speaker 7 (29:48):
Our fauls on two type anyway tin hat Tuesday you
can join us jonesydemanded dot com au or Callers thirteen
fifty five twenty two.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Look who's here? Oh it's right Bob to do?
Speaker 8 (30:01):
What to go away?
Speaker 5 (30:02):
To do?
Speaker 9 (30:03):
What to gowhere?
Speaker 12 (30:05):
To do?
Speaker 8 (30:05):
What to go awhere?
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Rob? Come to his own?
Speaker 5 (30:13):
Hello Rob?
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Hello?
Speaker 10 (30:14):
Rob?
Speaker 1 (30:15):
Why is we have very well?
Speaker 5 (30:17):
What have you got for us today?
Speaker 8 (30:19):
Oh? I got a couple of the conspiracies. You can
choose like this well.
Speaker 5 (30:28):
Three, is that the one that recently went to the moon.
Is that one of our options?
Speaker 8 (30:35):
Yes?
Speaker 9 (30:35):
Yeah, the Artemist anyway, Uh bigfoot yep?
Speaker 12 (30:43):
Right?
Speaker 8 (30:45):
Or Project Project Fishball.
Speaker 5 (30:48):
Let's go, let's Project Ishmael. You have to give us
more information so we know what we're choosing.
Speaker 8 (30:53):
Project Fishbowl?
Speaker 5 (30:55):
What what's that?
Speaker 8 (30:57):
That was a joint insure between America and Russia. They
were shooting missiles out into the atmosphere to try and
penetrate the impeditive, impeditive, impenetrable.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
Barrier right somewhere in the dome.
Speaker 8 (31:18):
Well, it's not really called the dome, it's called the firmament.
Speaker 5 (31:21):
And who's put that in place?
Speaker 8 (31:24):
It's an electro magnetic field which can't be penetrated.
Speaker 5 (31:28):
Who controls it?
Speaker 8 (31:31):
The creator?
Speaker 1 (31:33):
Anyway?
Speaker 7 (31:33):
I think I've heard that information. I want to go
to Artemis. What did your vibe on Artemis? Can I
choose that adventure?
Speaker 9 (31:39):
Rob?
Speaker 8 (31:41):
Has he checked out the launch?
Speaker 1 (31:43):
Have you seen the foot the footage yet?
Speaker 9 (31:45):
Yep?
Speaker 8 (31:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (31:47):
Why is there four cable cars or box carts right
at the exact launch time coming down on the forty
five degree angle on cables?
Speaker 8 (31:57):
Exactly four of them?
Speaker 1 (31:59):
So just before it takes off, there's a.
Speaker 5 (32:01):
They all escape at a shopping trolley. Is that what
you're saying?
Speaker 8 (32:04):
That's that's at the exact time of the launch as
the rocket's taking off.
Speaker 9 (32:11):
Four cars or box carts right comes like like flying foxes. Right,
they come down off the launch pad, right off the
top of it, right on cables on a forty five
degree angle down to the ground.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
But I'll have to have a look at it. But
there is a lot of equipment that does have to
release for the rocket to head them to space.
Speaker 8 (32:29):
No, that was there were the four astronauts that were
on there.
Speaker 5 (32:32):
I know what you think.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
It's not the catering truck.
Speaker 7 (32:34):
Is it rob chopped off the space food sticks?
Speaker 9 (32:40):
You like?
Speaker 8 (32:42):
You know the spacewalks and all that space. Yeah, it
can't happen because the thing is the astronauts will bluff
like pufferfish because there's no atmospheric pressure holding their bodies together.
Speaker 5 (32:58):
But that's space it's on. Does that work for them?
Speaker 8 (33:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 9 (33:03):
But what does what?
Speaker 8 (33:04):
What holds the pressure on the outside of the space suit?
Speaker 1 (33:06):
Then?
Speaker 8 (33:08):
Ah, I know.
Speaker 5 (33:14):
Space suit?
Speaker 1 (33:15):
You know we're not space food. Space food.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
I'm not yet not space food.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
I would kill for a space food stick well to
your next Tuesday.
Speaker 7 (33:27):
On any other Tuesday would be a normal Tuesday. But today,
my friends, today is tin hat Tuesday.
Speaker 11 (33:34):
Do you believe in that the world is flat?
Speaker 1 (33:36):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (33:38):
This is where we done the tin hat and we
have at it with conspiracies.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
We just had regular Rob on is Rob regular, I
don't know, very.
Speaker 7 (33:47):
Regular, and he brought us to light about the Artemis launch.
Speaker 9 (33:53):
Why is there four cable cars or box cars at
the exact launch time coming down on the angle on cables?
Exactly four of them.
Speaker 5 (34:04):
He claims that the astronauts all bailed out before the
craft took off.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
It was just the catering truck drop it off the space.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
I think it's just that there's a whole lot of
cabling that comes away when a craft shoots into space.
Speaker 7 (34:17):
Yes, there seems to be a lot of paraphernalia, jam
I rye. Just let's have a look at the autum launch.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
The big screen. Here we go ten skip through this stuff.
Speaker 7 (34:27):
Right okay, and lift off right okay?
Speaker 1 (34:34):
Okay, right there? Freeze it if you freeze it right,
freeze it right there?
Speaker 7 (34:38):
Now?
Speaker 1 (34:38):
What what is that? Rewind off? What's that?
Speaker 5 (34:45):
What's things coming about.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Now, what is that.
Speaker 12 (34:49):
Lift off?
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Let me get close. I'm going to zoom in the crew.
It's it's a cloud. It's a cloud.
Speaker 7 (34:55):
Hey understood again, right, and then got thot and lift
or and do it back again?
Speaker 1 (35:03):
Come forward? Was it anymous one or two?
Speaker 5 (35:09):
He's actually said three. We wanted about three launched. No,
it hasn't. Okay, exhausting choin, Hello Sean, what's your conspiracy?
Speaker 9 (35:19):
Hello man?
Speaker 13 (35:26):
My theory is that the government's got us all bluffed
with the ozone layer.
Speaker 5 (35:31):
Yeah. Why if you.
Speaker 13 (35:33):
Grab a twenty cent piece and spin it on the
table and watch the head of the head the actual
coin spinning, but the head's moving inside. So on the
north pole, that's how pole of frost defrosting at the
moment the salt water cart refreeze. So the center the
points of the world are actually shifting right, So it's
(35:58):
going into the ocean at the moment, so we can't refreeze.
And that's why there's all these theories that there's something
at the south pole. Another says civilization.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
I haven't got any coins. I mean I've got a
two I've got a two dollar coin.
Speaker 7 (36:14):
Whether they be the same self I do this, Spinner
Julius Sander Miller sound in funnel watch watch a partner, Pip,
and I can't flick at that.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
Sorry, well we've learned nothing, sure, I mean Spinner.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Sorry, Sean, Thank you.
Speaker 5 (36:32):
I didn't quite understand it, but I appreciate you thinking
and thank you. Michelle has Hello, Michelle, what's your conspiracy theory?
Before I go and take a tick?
Speaker 7 (36:40):
Who carries change with the miss I don't know I
had that.
Speaker 12 (36:45):
I'm just going to say, what's the goal with Elon Musk? Honestly?
Speaker 9 (36:50):
Is he an alien or not?
Speaker 12 (36:51):
Really? He's saying that he wants to.
Speaker 8 (36:53):
Take people to different planets in the world. I think
he really wants to take them home, to be honest.
Speaker 5 (36:59):
Then Michelle, Michelle, would you go with him to his
alien planet? Maybe Baby Mama because everyone else has been Yeah,
why not?
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Then you can give it a go. It wouldn't be great.
Have we got Michelle knocked up by call us? Talk
about your story arc right there and you have to.
Speaker 5 (37:26):
Call it thrang yops or something like that.
Speaker 1 (37:28):
Michelle, Thank you, Thank you, Michelle. You are perfect for
this segment.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
You're listening to the Jonesy and Amanda podcast. Yeah, I'm
in a request for them to do it again.
Speaker 5 (37:42):
Should lay off the moonshine knocking a man, it's so weak.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
Dad's will appreciate this.
Speaker 7 (37:52):
Dad jokes may help strengthen father child bonds. Research shows
what's your favorite dad joke?
Speaker 5 (38:01):
What do you want to give me? More science?
Speaker 1 (38:03):
It's pretty much one of those stories. Blah blah blah.
Say jake your kid, you can love you and buy
your gift.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
Oh, it sounds amazing when you can you explain the science.
I understand this.
Speaker 7 (38:12):
This doctor has said that it is good because it
brings out a camaraderie between the dad and.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
Even if you've got that, what's your favorite you want.
Speaker 5 (38:24):
Me to go first? My favorite question here it is
why can't you give else a balloon?
Speaker 1 (38:32):
Why can't you give Elsera a balloon?
Speaker 5 (38:33):
Because you'll let it go? Let it go? Do you
feel bonded now? What's yours?
Speaker 1 (38:40):
How do you get four elephants into a safe way bag,
one at a time.
Speaker 7 (38:46):
Take the F out of safe and the F out
of way.
Speaker 5 (38:51):
There's no way. Swear well, we haven't bonded in any way.
Speaker 1 (38:59):
Ryan looking at me in a vunkular way.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
He can't spell. He's got no idea what that joke says.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
Coming up Instagram is here.
Speaker 7 (39:06):
Also, Wayne Carey, have you've seen what Wayne Kerrey has
said about Mitch Brown's outfit at the recent AFL Hall
of Fame black tie event.
Speaker 5 (39:14):
I think clothing is shamed.
Speaker 7 (39:15):
He's well, yeah, he said something, but it was a
black tie event and Mitch's worn a sleeveless outfit. So
I don't think Wayne's sort of going on about Mitch's
lifestyle choices for what he chose to wear. It's something
we should talk about him anyway. That's coming up on gold.
(39:35):
Mitch Brown, a former West Coast Eagles player, was inducted
into the AFL Hall of Fame the.
Speaker 5 (39:41):
Hoff Awards Former Player.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
Much about him anyway.
Speaker 7 (39:45):
He's bisexual, No beef with that, but he attended the
night a black tie event, but he was wearing Oh
the picture up, he's got a little tank top on.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
It's a mesh tank top, and he's paired it with
a tie and he's got.
Speaker 5 (39:58):
Some cot a fashion silk scarf around it. Yeah, he's
not just wearing a singlet. That's an intentional design and
not a.
Speaker 1 (40:05):
Bin tang singlet.
Speaker 7 (40:06):
Uh, and you know, considering he played AFL wearing tank top,
he's got the arms for it. Wayne Carey, former player
who we've had on the show in the past, he's
posted Mitch Brown half outfit. Seriously, Gary Lion Hall of Fame, Sorry, yeah,
hof yeah, Gary Line declared that a mess signal ain't
the go for black type. And I was just reading
(40:28):
this opinion piece from Chloe's sergeant, and she's spoken about
the history of the black tie and do men have
to wear a tuxedo at these events? So away from
everything that Mitch is about and what Wayne Carey.
Speaker 5 (40:43):
Is about, why does Wayne think does e think's disresive?
Speaker 1 (40:45):
It's a black tie event? And Old Blake's like, yeah,
it's a black tie event. You should be.
Speaker 7 (40:50):
Wearing designer outfit and it probably would.
Speaker 5 (40:53):
Be intentional outfit.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
And black. And this is what Chloe says. Black tie
some sort of sacred and unchanging institution.
Speaker 5 (41:03):
She's saying it should be.
Speaker 7 (41:04):
So she's saying that Mitch would have put a lot
of thought into this particular outfit. It's not as if
he showed up and he's bin tang shirt and said
let's go. In recent decades, black tie just kind of
means formal with dark colors, effectively meaning men just wore
a back black basic suit. Thankfully we've moved on from that,
she says. And I gotta mean I get a lot
(41:25):
of black tie events. I always just wear a black tie,
like you know.
Speaker 5 (41:28):
And like a literal black tie. You're not taking that
to me in a tuxedo.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
I don't wear it. I'm not a bow type.
Speaker 5 (41:34):
But no, but black tie is often seen by men
to be full formal dress. Yeah, yes, really when you
go to a charity ball or whatever. As long as
you turn up and you look okay, that should be enough.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
But this what gave me pause for thought, what Chloe writes.
Speaker 7 (41:50):
Every time a man even slightly steps outside the box
a little, these commentators react as though society itself is
hanging by a thread.
Speaker 1 (41:59):
It's twenty six.
Speaker 7 (42:00):
Men do not have to spend the rest of eternity
dressed like middle managers attending.
Speaker 1 (42:05):
A corporate awards night.
Speaker 7 (42:07):
For the bigger issue, And I think maybe it's pub test.
Does black tie pass the pub test?
Speaker 1 (42:12):
Still? Is it done? Because I kind of.
Speaker 7 (42:15):
Like the idea of black tie, because if you didn't.
Speaker 5 (42:17):
You should have an apple, You should have an option.
Do you wear black tie or you wear something that's
your approximation of that, and that's okay as long as
it's respectful. Yeah, I mean do people are they complaining
because they don't want armpit hairs in their dinner? Is
that what that is?
Speaker 1 (42:31):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (42:32):
Thirteen fifty five, twenty two. I didn't even think of that.
What do you think we'd like to hear from you?
Black tie? Does it pass the pub test? I will
have that for you next on god Jam. The pub
text top test does not past the pub test, hub Test,
top Tests, test Test, the.
Speaker 1 (42:48):
Pub test doesn't pass the sniff test. Stop it, it's
not today.
Speaker 7 (42:52):
Black Tie? Does it pass the pub test? I'm looking
at the picture well stems from Mitch Brown.
Speaker 5 (42:56):
I'm looking at the picture that Mitch Brown wore to
the Hall of Fame, the AFL Hall of Fame. He's
an ex player, is a legendary player. But this is
what I find extraordinary that Tim Watson has reportedly questioned
with a Brown another former player should have been allowed
into the room.
Speaker 1 (43:14):
I'm looking at. Tim is a lot older from the
ear of no Shirt, No Service.
Speaker 5 (43:20):
This is a very stylish outfit that he's wearing here,
and it's a it's a sea through ish top but
that it's not like a singlet. It is sleeveless, but
the sleeve goes right to the edge of his arm
with a silk tie around the neck. If that had
a jacket on, that would be the most stylish outfit
in the room. It doesn't have the jacket on. I
don't know whether he wore a jacket or not.
Speaker 7 (43:40):
You go to the that's an acceptable out Sebastian wearing
a suit with no shirt on underneath.
Speaker 1 (43:46):
That's what guy.
Speaker 5 (43:47):
That's what girls wear as well.
Speaker 1 (43:48):
But I'm not doing that.
Speaker 5 (43:49):
But that's okay, it doesn't suit you. But why is
there an outrage that this is worn to the Football
Hall of Fame? But I think all the young boys,
like my son goes to events and they are saying
all black tie, and he doesn't wear a tux. He
doesn't do that. So he wears a shirt and a
tie and that's his version of that, and that should
(44:11):
be enough. He's twenty three. He shouldn't have to own
a truck seater.
Speaker 7 (44:14):
Because back in my day, we had to dress up
for everything. You know, you get on a plane, you
had to dress.
Speaker 5 (44:19):
Up in a tux.
Speaker 1 (44:20):
In a tux, yet we did. We look like a
little bond trap.
Speaker 5 (44:22):
We are much more casually dressed than he is.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
That a bad thing?
Speaker 10 (44:26):
Is that?
Speaker 1 (44:26):
A What I'm saying is what happened.
Speaker 7 (44:28):
You go and see the opera or something, and you
go along and it's a black tie event and someone
shows up in a Metallica shirt.
Speaker 5 (44:35):
But that's not what this is. He's not wearing.
Speaker 1 (44:37):
Casual thought into this.
Speaker 5 (44:39):
He's put thought into it. He looks incredibly handsome, incredibly
stylish and intentional. Let's is a designer outfit.
Speaker 1 (44:46):
A younger perspective in gym my rye.
Speaker 6 (44:48):
I like the creative outfit.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
I think it looks well well.
Speaker 7 (44:51):
The last Radio Awards, I just remember holding an unfeasibly
large glass of cider.
Speaker 1 (44:57):
I can't remember what you were wearing.
Speaker 11 (44:58):
I had a I was wearing a tuck with a
bow tie. But I almost wore a velvet suit as well.
So that's like a little bit different, That's right.
Speaker 5 (45:06):
And that would have been absolutely acceptable, as I'm sure
it was on this night at the football. Sure it's
because he hasn't worn sleeves, which, ironically, as you say,
is what he wears in his job every day.
Speaker 2 (45:16):

Speaker 5 (45:56):
But yuh are you reheating it in the microwave or
the no, the oven. You've got to go yeah, otherwise
it gets too wet.
Speaker 1 (46:04):
The cook left over KFC. It just feels like.
Speaker 5 (46:06):
You know, just you heat it sounds like you're judging.
Speaker 1 (46:09):
I'm not judging, Carli.
Speaker 5 (46:11):
Goodness would sounds delicious. I wish I was there.

Speaker 9 (46:37):
Wow?
Speaker 5 (46:38):

Speaker 7 (46:43):
Oh it's a thousand, Carlia rats, I think we distract
you with the KFC.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
No.
Speaker 5 (46:54):
Well, I'm hungry, so you've done something.
Speaker 7 (46:57):
I love those breasty bits, you know they still just
do the tender bits.
Speaker 5 (47:01):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (47:02):
Yeah, they're good, they're good.
Speaker 5 (47:04):
Enjoy it, Carley. We're a little bit jealous, but having
for dinner. And thank you for playing.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
All right, thank you, thank you, carry on, Carly gamation.
Speaker 6 (47:12):
The pub test pup test does not past the pub testub.
Speaker 7 (47:15):
Test test, the pub test doesn't pass the sniff test.
Stop it it's not hill today, black tie does it
pass the pub test. This all stems from an opinion
piece by a lady called Chloe Sargent.
Speaker 5 (47:28):
Well, this is about when Wayne Carey posted Mitch Brown
Hall of Fame outfit, seriously he was wearing. So Mitch
Brown is wearing a really fabulously stylish outfit. It's it's
like a Harry Styles kind of outfit. It's sleeveless mesh
with a silk scarf around the meton.
Speaker 7 (47:44):
It looks like he's coming out of the maybe the
Wasteland in Mad Max two.
Speaker 5 (47:47):
I wouldn't have thought so. I think he looks like
he's come off the red carpet in Milan. I think
he looks fantastic.
Speaker 1 (47:53):
I have no beef for the outfit, but a lot of.
Speaker 5 (47:55):
People have said a lot of the old farts have
said this is outrageous.
Speaker 1 (47:59):
That's why I've said that, so locked into that category.
Speaker 5 (48:03):
Tim Watson has reportedly questioned whether the Brown should have
been allowed into the room.
Speaker 1 (48:07):
You know that's a bitch.
Speaker 7 (48:09):
Well, I've been to a lot of events in my
life the as the logis the acres, and I've always
just wort a black suit man.
Speaker 1 (48:15):
Maybe I'm just boring that way. The ari is one.
You know, I did wear a leather jacket because that
was okay.
Speaker 5 (48:21):
Did people think you're under dressed?
Speaker 10 (48:22):
No?
Speaker 1 (48:23):
Because it's the Arias.
Speaker 5 (48:24):
But then but this is when you have a no
one's saying that this is surgeon of the year, you
have to dress.
Speaker 1 (48:31):
But then again, what does that stop so surgeon of
the year.
Speaker 5 (48:33):
It should be allowed to dress as a clown.
Speaker 7 (48:36):
Say someone surgery, maybe someone comes in dressed.
Speaker 1 (48:39):
Is that?
Speaker 7 (48:39):
And this is what Chloe points out, like mitches put
a lot of thought into this outfit.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
It's not like it's disrespect Like.
Speaker 7 (48:46):
Darryl Braithwaite a Melbourne carp when he walks on with
his shirt from the garden. This is he's put a
bit of thought into the outfit. And she goes on
to say it's twenty twenty six. Men do not have
to spend the rest of eternity dress like middle managers
attending a corporate awards.
Speaker 5 (49:02):
Some people I know would say it's sad to see
the end of black tie and formal attire. Others are saying,
who cares? Turn up look great?
Speaker 1 (49:09):
Who cares?
Speaker 5 (49:10):
So black tie? Does it pass the pub test?
Speaker 12 (49:13):
I reckon that it's about time things moved along. A
whole other world is coming along, and I think as
long as you're looking smart, I think that's heap that's good.
Speaker 8 (49:24):
It doesn't cut well. We're starting to lack class in society.
Speaker 12 (49:27):
And I think a tuxedo or a man's suit, I
don't think anything it looks better than.
Speaker 8 (49:33):
A man in a tux or a suit. A black
tie affair is an opportunity for anyone to show their style.
I think it's a fantastic idea.
Speaker 9 (49:42):
It doesn't matter if you're young or all.
Speaker 8 (49:44):
If you're out there, you're not on the camp walk,
You're just you're at an event and you're dressing to
the nine, so to speak.
Speaker 5 (49:51):
I think they really have to evaluate what exactly black
tie means, because a lot of people these days they
go for formal, not black tie.
Speaker 12 (50:01):
I think black tie for women as in men can
take different forms of style, but I hardly think two
middle aged men who have offfield discretions of their own
should be throwing shade at somebody else.
Speaker 8 (50:16):
You can bury those the most useless piece.
Speaker 1 (50:20):
Of male where I have ever heard.
Speaker 9 (50:23):
I hate ties period black.
Speaker 12 (50:27):
I don't care what color it is.
Speaker 5 (50:30):
No ties for you, No ties for that man, that man.
Speaker 1 (50:33):
There, No well, you know, maybe that's o pub test tomorrow.
Ties do they pass the pub time?
Speaker 5 (50:38):
Who knows what we'll have tomorrow. Actually, I do know
what we're going to have tomorrow for TikTok Tucker to
my teeny, Yeah, my teeny with a twist. I won't
tell you what the twist is, or you won't turn up.
