Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're listening to the Jonesy and Amanda Podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
The Jones and Amanda Show.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Georgeous Amanda, Mistress Amanda is delivering discipline.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
It hurts, but someone's got to do.

Speaker 4 (00:18):
Add Amanda Jones and the virile Jonesy.

Speaker 5 (00:24):
Heard them describe him as a drunken idiot.

Speaker 6 (00:26):
Stay in school and learned school.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Yeah, okay, Jones and Amanda, those are names that you
would never forget.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Shot.

Speaker 6 (00:36):
Well, hello, Amanda, how are you, my little black shirted friend.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Black hearted friend? I'm out of sorts today. What's happened, Brendan,
what's happened?

Speaker 6 (00:44):
What's happened? I'll ease your burden.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Well, you created the burden. I'll start with what happened
to my phone, and then I'll tell you how my
day went today. As we were leaving this place of
work last night, I was pugging my phone into it
so it would charge on the way home, and it
dropped between my seat and the middle console. I was
able to grab it with two fingers. That dropped down again.

(01:08):
I grabbed it with two fingers and it dropped down again,
and I knew that you were just getting onto your bike,
And I said Brendan has longer hands than I do.
He might be able to help here. You came over.
All I saw was a flash of bum crack as
you said, oh, I get in there and am out,
And I was grateful for your help until I don't

(01:29):
know what you did.

Speaker 6 (01:30):
I didn't do anything. You moved the sea, You didn't
move the seat.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
You put your knee on the seat, and somehow the
seat maneuved itself and moved and crunched my phone to smithering.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
Well it didn't.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Let me just say this. It wasn't me. It was
your car that crunched your phone to smithering. Secondly, I
said to you, I'll have a look from the back.

Speaker 6 (01:51):
I'll scooch you.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
You went, you could have seen it from All I
wanted was because you couldn't have reached.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
You wouldn't let me assess the situation. So you went
standing there with one hand on your hip.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Get in there this way, and then I knelt on
your seat, very mindful of the fact that I don't
want to touch any of the controls and your car
because a German car sensed a different weight variant between
you and me, and just said it started to move
my phone. But I couldn't even stop it because it
was moving the seat back before I had a chance.

(02:23):
And I believe that you'd already moved the seat before
this happened.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Well, my phone was crunched and just splintered pretty much.

Speaker 6 (02:32):
Really had a meal.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
It made a meal of it. So anyway, I went home,
didn't have a phone, couldn't do a wordle so that
didn't feel good. But this morning, nine am there. I
was at the Apple store this morning thinking I'll just
I'll have to get a new phone, obviously transfer the
data over. At the minute they said, what's your Apple idea?
Have you ever felt more dumb than when you're trying

(02:56):
to transfer data. I don't know my passwords, I don't
know my Apple I'd saved it somewhere in my phone.
How was I going to access that? So I had
to go home, to drive all the way home again
to get my iPad, came back out to the shop again,
and then it was about an hour and a half
from there to download some stuff into a new phone.

(03:17):
And what's happened now? I don't know how the cloud
has downloaded all Harley stuff onto my phone. I can't
have access to my Instagram to my photographs. I don't
have access to my phone numbers, nothing. So now I've
got to get someone, a geek who we sometimes use
for other technological stuff at home, to come to my
home tomorrow morning to extend this process for another eighteen hours.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Brendan, was it my fault?

Speaker 6 (03:42):
I got have just gone home and be blissfully unaware
of all of this.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Well, that is true, and I think if you had,
I probably would have driven home and got some tongs
and got it out.

Speaker 6 (03:51):
Okay, Well, next time you yell at trily from the
car part, I won't. I won't come to your aid.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Oh look anyway, it's happened now, it's happened now, and
I've had a it's been a pain in the neck
of a dish.

Speaker 6 (04:04):
It's a terrible day for you.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
And I feel bad for dogs in prams wearing hats
because they've been unviewed for.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Seven time exactly. There's a whole lot of rescue dogs
that have gone unobserved by me on Instagram today.

Speaker 6 (04:17):
Your so called work.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Quite right, And women who out to dress over fifty
they haven't been seen by me today. There's some recipes
I haven't seen.

Speaker 6 (04:25):
I just want to hear what Harley had in his cloud.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Oh no, nothing of interest.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
I hed'd have a little you had a good old man.

Speaker 6 (04:32):
Don't worry. We'll sort it out for you.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Will you.

Speaker 6 (04:34):
Yep, No, you won't.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
No, I'm not going to let you anywhere near it.

Speaker 5 (04:39):
Well, I've got an action packed show today. Instagram makes
us return. It's tin Hat Tuesday. That's come back. Also,
we can't do anything until we do the Fast five.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
Give us a call if you would like to play.
Don't don't call my phone because I'm having a little
bit of trouble.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
You won't get through.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I'll hardly mention it again.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
Thirteen fifty five twenty two. I think you will mention
it again.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
And I've got a cold.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
You have to Jamais.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Jonesy and demanders.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
Five five questions. Can you go all the way and
answer all five questions correctly? If you do that, Amanda
will say if.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
You answer question five correctly, you get a two hundred
and fifty dollars fuel voucher.

Speaker 5 (05:18):
I feel for your little friend. Got a cold? You
break your phone?

Speaker 2 (05:23):
I broke my phone. Yes, that's right, my phone was broken.

Speaker 6 (05:28):
Are you elluding in some way that it was that
was me.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Well, it certainly wasn't me.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
Well, it wasn't me. It wasn't me because.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
My phone mysteriously you put a knee on the seat.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
Yeah, but it's it's a weight sensing seat. If it
was the old Holden Sunbird, then nothing would have happened.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
And an iPhone wouldn't have been in there. True my
home telephone.

Speaker 6 (05:50):
Do you want me to recompense you for your phone?

Speaker 2 (05:53):
No? No, not at all.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
How much was your phone?

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Two thousand dollars? So yes, I would like you to
recommend thousands. Well, I was in a hurry. I wanted
the latest one, I said, No. I just wanted to
buy it out right and can't.

Speaker 6 (06:08):
Don't we have someone with Apple, some Apple connections?

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Please? I know I don't want any secret backroom deals.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
Something catches fire in your hands. Two thousand that's.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
How much your new phone cost.

Speaker 6 (06:21):
Prend Steve Jobs. He's having a laugh, isn't he?

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Isn't he laughing? Now? Giving all the way underground?

Speaker 6 (06:29):
Rob is in Yarra Valley. Cheer up, Amanda Rober.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
I'm not too bad, thank you. She's in the Wars, Rob,
I'm in the Wars today anyway. His question number one
who played the icons, but this is a sad question
as well. Who played the iconic palaeontologist doctor Alan Grant
in the film Jurassic Park. The wonderful Sam Neel. We're
all still in shock.

Speaker 5 (06:57):
I watched yesterday the first part of the first series
The Twelve, The Twelve.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
This is a BS. There have been a couple of
series of this. The twelve refers to the jurors. He
plays a barrister. Yep, and he's you see the story.
The seasons are amazing.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
And just all the lives, the disparate lives for the standard.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
Dury and it's so really great.

Speaker 5 (07:21):
I just feel terrible that only just picked up on
it now. I meant to watch it ages ago.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
But it's really great.

Speaker 6 (07:26):
If you get a chance, get a chance.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
Rob Let's play riff raff.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
Got to keep out the riff round.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Okay, let's see if Jones is going to be happy
with the riff that Ryan has put in? What is
this riff rock?

Speaker 6 (07:43):
He is happy? Rub it?

Speaker 7 (07:52):
Keep it complicated?

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Something complicated?

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Does sound like that? Is that the song he's thinking
of it has?

Speaker 6 (07:59):
Yeah? Yeah, you got to keep them separated. But it's not.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Oh see, I saw this written down? And did it
realized that that was that song?

Speaker 3 (08:06):
That? What song?

Speaker 6 (08:06):
Did you?

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Meaning? I knew it was that song, didn't know it
was this time?

Speaker 6 (08:09):
There is a chasm between that and Barry Madelo.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
No no, meaning that I didn't know the song was
called this.

Speaker 6 (08:15):
Oh okay, well let's try. Should we go to Helen.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
And man, let's see if Helen can do it? Hello, Helen?

Speaker 8 (08:21):
Hey, how are you very well?

Speaker 2 (08:22):
I think Rob was onto what the song is, but
that's not the title. What song has this riffic?

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Is it pop fiction?

Speaker 7 (08:38):
I want to pass and just answer the next one.

Speaker 5 (08:40):
And I wish it worked that way. I'll tell and
let's have a bit of a breathe. We'll put it
on again Ryan, just to hear it. Ryan's magic fingers
working for their lives today the panel What's the song?

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Take a peek behind the scenes. Follow Jonesy and Amanda
on Instagram and Facebook. Jonesy and demandas.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
We are up to question number two, which is refrash.

Speaker 6 (09:18):
Understand got to keep out the riff? Fiana is in
Bright Hills?

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Hello, Fianna, Oh Hey, hey you going?

Speaker 5 (09:24):
Hehi?

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Fionda? What song features this riff? Any ideas.

Speaker 7 (09:37):
I think that's come out and play.

Speaker 6 (09:39):
You're very good, poor ol, demanded Fiana. She's in the wars.
Her phone broke.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
My phone just of its own volitionous savage itself.

Speaker 6 (09:54):
Your cars like Christine, Remember Stephen king.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Steep And now I've got a cold?

Speaker 6 (10:05):
You've got a cold? Should I go and get you
some that? I'm gonta Masuda fed left the Great Canadian
suit a fair.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
This is a hollow offer. Should I go and get
you some? Yes? Please, Brendan, why don't you go and
grab me some?

Speaker 6 (10:15):
Let's go. I'll just have a look on it.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
In the meantime, I'll ask a question number three, it says,
multiple choice, Fiona. According to TMZ, someone has listed a
bag of air allegedly collected inside Taylor Swift's wedding for sale.
How much does it cost? Is it A fifty thousand
dollars B five hundred thousand dollars or C five million
dollars a bag of air?

Speaker 9 (10:37):
A tailor swish sweating?

Speaker 2 (10:38):
What do you reckon? Oh? Go B No, five hundred
thousand dollars, five hundred thousand dollars. That's a cost of
my new phone.

Speaker 6 (10:52):
How much is this hot air around that. You know,
I came and helped you.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
I said nothing. I've just said thank you your car phone.
You are so useful and thank you.

Speaker 6 (11:03):
I didn't realize you just paid so much for that
phone that is with us.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Hello, Renee, Hello, Renee, Hello, Hello, Hello, I think you
should pay for Amanda's news site. Are you in the
legal profession? Baby?

Speaker 6 (11:21):
Pray the phone?

Speaker 3 (11:23):
I just think that's just you know.

Speaker 6 (11:25):
I'll say this as well.

Speaker 5 (11:26):
I was in full motorcycle regalia, so I had a
helmet on and everything as because I was about to leave,
so I could have just quite easily just taken off
you had and then you said come and now. Then
I went okay, and then I said I'll have a
look around the back and this is what I That's
what I did. And then no, no, and then you've
got to get in over the top. I can't help

(11:47):
that your car adjusts two differences in wait, if anything,
you should be happy.

Speaker 6 (11:51):
Imagine if the seat didn't move, that would indicate that
we weigh the same. That would be terrible.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
Renee his question three. According to TMZ, someone has listed
a bag of air allegedly collected inside Taylor Swoop's wedding
for sale. Does it cost a fifty thousand dollars or
see five million dollars.

Speaker 7 (12:15):
I'm going to say a.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
I Also, someone apparently was selling little acrylic cubes of
rubbish that he collected outside the They would look really cute.
They're twenty five dollars. I bought one of those bits
of rubbish from the wedding. I'd have bought that, of.

Speaker 6 (12:32):
Course you would.

Speaker 5 (12:33):
Derek Zulander's primary arch rival and later friend is a
fellow supermodel by what name, Renee?

Speaker 3 (12:40):
That would be HANSL. McDonald.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Well done, Hanson McDonald. Question five, this is where you
win all the cashion prizes, well, the turn fifty dollars
few voucher. What type of hat is famously associated with
conspiracy theorists as a supposed shield against invisible forces.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
That like those tinfoil.

Speaker 6 (13:01):
Hat Exactly what that is? Renee?

Speaker 2 (13:04):
You can think of getting a tinfoil fascinator for Melbourne puff.
What do you think.

Speaker 6 (13:10):
You won't be able to see where you're going?

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Exactly?

Speaker 6 (13:12):
Congrat congret delgence. Do you, Renee?

Speaker 5 (13:15):
You have won the jam packed two hundred and fifty
dollars fuel voucher for you?

Speaker 7 (13:20):
Oh wow, Oh, thank you so much, guys.

Speaker 6 (13:23):
And don't worry, we'll look after Romanda. I'm not made
of ivy.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
He's not going to buy me and you because I
didn't break the fue but you did. Well, you do
to go and get me some suit of FED.

Speaker 6 (13:32):

Speaker 2 (13:34):

Speaker 6 (13:36):
From Okay, I'll get you some lems SIPs.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
And some suit of Feds.

Speaker 6 (13:39):
I'll get the old school biking speed one as well.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Do you just ask for that?

Speaker 6 (13:43):
Now you've got to show your license to do HL
tap my wallet.

Speaker 5 (13:46):
We can either go to Price Line Pharmacy or Chemists Warehouse.

Speaker 6 (13:50):
We'll go to chemist whare House. Eddie's ways talking about
Chemists ware So how far is that Ryan from here?

Speaker 10 (13:57):
That's five minutes?

Speaker 6 (13:59):
Five minutes walk? How much time have we got? Got
eight minutes?

Speaker 2 (14:05):
Ryan?

Speaker 6 (14:05):
Just go?

Speaker 2 (14:06):
No, No, the maths makes no sense. You won't have
time to get back. That's quite right. Well, if you
take your phone with you, you can't call me obviously, Brendan,
because my phone's broken did I mention it? But give
the studio a call if you don't make it back
in time.

Speaker 6 (14:21):
Okay? Anything else?

Speaker 4 (14:22):
Want to be hosting with Eddie.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
He's offered to buy me a new phone.

Speaker 6 (14:26):
Of course he did. Can you give me some?

Speaker 4 (14:30):
Okay, well go just shouldn't go.

Speaker 6 (14:33):
I'll be back on Gold.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
This is Gold. You're listening to Jonesy and Amanda and
I do sound a bit clogged up. I'm having a
ratty day. I can say this because Jones is not
the room. He, in way of trying to help me,
actually broke my phone yesterday. So I've spent all the
morning in trying to replace bits and pieces on my phone.
It's still not back to normal. In the meantime, I
do have a cold, And by way of appeasing me,

(14:57):
he said he'd run to the chemist and pick something up.
He's not back, but I think we have him on
the line. Hi, Jonesy.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
They give me your schooner and you and.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Are you threatened by how smooth my introduction was? Just then?

Speaker 6 (15:12):
Have you done the introduction?

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Oh yes, I have Brendan And how are you going?
Are you actually in the chemist? You're getting ears pierced?

Speaker 3 (15:18):
I'm back, I'm back, I'm in the lift. I'm coming
up the lift.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Oh yeah, that was pretty quick. That was a very
quick journey. What did you buy me?

Speaker 3 (15:26):
They got you some Lemsip max decongestant from our friends
at Kennist Warehouse. Ask for them by neck.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
And did you get anything from my schnoz.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
What they said? I can't get suit of paed and
lambsip together.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Exactly what you're saying, because I'm we're on air.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
They hurt the show and they said she doesn't need it.
He doesn't want to.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Be too wirre.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
How dare they speak for me?

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Well?

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Exactly like I can hear you where are you now?
I can hear you puffing and.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
I'm miles away. I'm just talking to the gang.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
All right, Well, what would you like to do? Will
we go to another song? And then when you return
here it comes?

Speaker 8 (16:05):
Now?

Speaker 3 (16:07):
Where are we up to?

Speaker 6 (16:09):
Because it's just silly?

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Thank you for my limbsip. I appreciate it very much.

Speaker 6 (16:14):
I've got a receipt so you can fix me out.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Okay, and I've got a receipt for my phone. So
let's see if we're even No, No, I've hardly mentioned
it while you were gone.

Speaker 6 (16:23):
Okay, Well what else have you got coming up?

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Well, we've got lots of things coming up. We obviously
have tin Hat Tuesday. Are you going to catch your
breath by then? I hill you do boast about your fitness,
You're going to be okay, well i'd hate you, do
you know? Have it in faction and coming up next
to those simple One of the one of the big
sadnesses as we go towards the semi finals and the

(16:48):
finals of the World Cup is that Norway is out
and the world seems to have fallen in love with
Earling Harlan. We're going to talk about that on gold Gems.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
Them is working for you if you've just joined us.
Amanda's been she's had a day, her car d a phone,
Well did.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
My car my phone?

Speaker 4 (17:06):
It did and some assistance.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
From the Germans. The Germans starting trouble again.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
It's going to be like w W two Part three
and so your phone got my phone.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
And thank you you ran and got me some limbsip.
I'm having one now.

Speaker 6 (17:22):
Gee, you can almost tour with Fleetwood Mac with that signers.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Something good might come from this, you never know.

Speaker 6 (17:30):
But they just said to me while I was down
at Chemist's warehouse.

Speaker 5 (17:33):
They said, all your other stuff there as well, your
musial and your creams. So I didn't want to pick
that up because they wanted signification.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
The air ring that I sit on.

Speaker 6 (17:44):
That hadn't arrived. It's too big, stumbling into a life.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Rus still on a ship. Any old who I want
to talk about? Earling Harland. I don't know how many
people before the World Cup new of Earlin Harland Erling
Halland he is a famous Norwegian soccer player and he
plays obviously I think he plays with Manchester, is that right? Right?
So he's you know, world famous, but in circles outside

(18:12):
of soccer. I don't know how many people knew him.
Now the whole world is in love with him. He
has the roughest tent in the history of the universe.
But he's ugly cute, right, That's what the Japanese term
for these kinds of rat hot. Not rat hot. He's
probably shrek hot. I would say I've made that up,
But he's got a shrekish appearance about him. But he's
quirky and he's funny, and that's why people are just

(18:33):
loving him. Here he is on the field.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
He's a support from mullaflthar was Harland's It's taken him less.

Speaker 9 (18:42):
Than half an hour to score his first ever world.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
He's scored about a gazillion of them.

Speaker 6 (18:48):
He's got like a top knight Yeah arrangement, and.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
I've seen a whole lot of ballet Like dance mom
saying how does he keep it in place? He's you know,
I don't know how he keeps that.

Speaker 6 (18:57):
That hair in an elastic band and a bobby pin.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Yeah, but then it was that easy one. And all
dance moms know that he earns roughly the equivalent of
one hundred and twenty million Australian dollars a year a year,
so he's absolutely loaded. His quirky style has been hilarious.
People have loved watching him tut tote around his burken handbags.

(19:22):
His Umez handbags is Chanelle handbags. He's loving all of
that stuff. He got off the plane in Oslo when
the team had to head home carrying a stuffed raccoon
that's drinking a bottle of whiskey. He bought that at
a Country and Western store in Dallas, YEP. With a
T shirt that said y'all can kiss my Dallas. So
he's unusual and people have loved that about him. One

(19:44):
of the stories that has emerged is that when he
was fifteen, he was in a rap group with two
other soccer playing friends teenagers. The band was called flow
Kings with the Z on the end right, and they
had a song, a rap song called Kyo Joe Joe,

(20:04):
Kyogo Joe. So I want to get it right, Kyogo Joe.
Would you like to hear a snippet, Brenda?

Speaker 4 (20:10):
Not really here it is come.

Speaker 5 (20:20):
Dance you might start a law suit dance Monkey right.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
While you get dance Monkey. I'll tell you more about that.
So during the World Cup Norwegian DJ said he'd remix
that if Harland scored against Brazil, which he did. So
that song has been remixed and re released and it's
gone to number one on Spotify in Norway. Do you
want to hear? The remix goes like this, I.

Speaker 6 (21:03):
Dance Monky.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
What are you saying, Brendon? I think which one came first?
She's she had worked on Dance Monkey for a long time.
But this was a song.

Speaker 6 (21:14):
That's almost ten years old. No, it was not ten
year Are we now twelve?

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Harland was did this song when right?

Speaker 6 (21:21):
I'm making you do a lot of work when I'm
the one that happened in the warehouse.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
If this happened when he was fifteen, And I don't
know how old he is now that's of no use
to you, all Right, which song came first? How long
is a piece of string? Ryan? Quickly?

Speaker 6 (21:34):
Because tones? And I was a busker for a long time?
Did she she had that?

Speaker 2 (21:39):
She could have started playing that when she was ten?

Speaker 6 (21:41):
Who knows? Yeah, okay, I'm going to need to do
extensively almost God? Just what year? Come?

Speaker 2 (21:46):
What's not about that? If she was busking with it
years before that?

Speaker 5 (21:49):
An old maid from Norway just got off his own
laut and heard it.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
Come on, I be going to slag him. You can
slag all of us.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (21:57):
Well the song was officially released in twenty nineteen, twenty nineteen, and.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
How old was Harlem in twenty nineteen? Okay?

Speaker 6 (22:07):
Putting it in? What would you rather hear me run
to chemists warehouse?

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Or right?

Speaker 6 (22:12):
He was nineteen years old?

Speaker 2 (22:16):
So dance Monkey came out first?

Speaker 6 (22:17):
There you go, just saying, what are you saying? I
understand Adam Hill's the whole thing happened that can of
worms with Well, you're saying that it's in the old
gam tree.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
You're saying the dance Monkey came before this. Yes, and
so he's just an idiot kid, So who cares?

Speaker 6 (22:31):
It doesn't matter. He's worth a motza.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Okay, well, I look forward to you taking him to court,
and how popular you will be. You'll your He'll have
your ermes, you'll have your head in the erme's bag.
You'll be the raccoon in his cag the stuffed Right.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
You're listening to the Jonesy and Amanda podcast.

Speaker 6 (22:50):
I won't now a by the miracle of recording.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
Jones and Amanda.

Speaker 6 (22:53):
Don't be an Amanda.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
Those are two great names.

Speaker 6 (22:55):
I'm not a scatter danced the chemistry between them, But
how much of that is.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Really your own business?

Speaker 4 (23:00):
And shut your pie?

Speaker 7 (23:01):
I wish you well with your girl.

Speaker 5 (23:03):
Tin hat Tuesday today, my black shirted friend.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Tin hat Tuesday. We've been away for a couple This
isn't my hat. Have you got my hat?

Speaker 6 (23:10):
Ryo, what's happened?

Speaker 2 (23:12):
This looks like some sort of underpants arrangement. Chuck, that's mine?
Thank you?

Speaker 6 (23:17):
What's happened to you? Hat?

Speaker 2 (23:18):
I don't know. We've been away. Someone's using to make
garlic bread.

Speaker 6 (23:22):
Tin hat underpants. That would explain the smell anyway. Anyway,
I thought it might have.

Speaker 5 (23:30):
I thought it might have disappeared over the break.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
There's still more conspiracy theories. I'm not a book. Just
say you know, I'm not a believer in these conspiracy theories,
and I'm leaning into the ridiculous nature of it. Some
of them I find disturbing, and I find it disturbing
that a whole chunk of the world believes them that
I don't.

Speaker 5 (23:49):
Just so we know it, if you'd like to join us,
Jonesy demanded dot com dot are you in the meantime

Speaker 6 (24:34):
We'll have that for you next. Yeah, you're the only contestant.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
What a successful show.

Speaker 6 (24:43):
That's coming up on Gold.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
You have a rich history on Australian TV, Amanda Keller,
and that's why you've been nominated for the Burt Newton
Best Bloody TV Presenter.

Speaker 2 (24:55):
Is that the official time?

Speaker 5 (24:56):
That's what I call it, because really the business of
hosting TV is a hard, hard business and you are
the best in the business.

Speaker 6 (25:04):
You've been here for the Gold Leggy, not once.

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Not twice, twice.

Speaker 5 (25:09):
I was going to say, Thrie and you were dashed
at the finishing line by other people, Grant Dania and
Tommy Gleeson and those guys. You know, I just feel
that it was bad luck for you.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
That's okay, this is but this is how it goes,
and this is what the industry is. And like I'm
just I am absolutely thrilled to be nominated for the Piano.

Speaker 6 (25:32):
Back to your rich body of work.

Speaker 5 (25:34):
You have a good red as the best TV presenter
in the whole world.

Speaker 6 (25:41):
So I know it's you're up again.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
It doesn't matter. You've got to stay focused. When Thorpe
he was swimming in the pool. He wasn't looking left
and right.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
He was Actually they do know where their opponents are.

Speaker 5 (25:51):
When far Lapp was running down the track, he wasn't
looking left or right, he was straight ahead.

Speaker 6 (26:00):
It doesn't matter. Your body. Don't need me talking about
your body, your own body.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
Let's stop it, TV Work.

Speaker 6 (26:09):
You can present your own body.

Speaker 5 (26:10):
So what I've done is I've got you over the
ages and I.

Speaker 6 (26:15):
Just want you to tell everyone what we're presenting here?

Speaker 2 (26:19):
What are you talking?

Speaker 5 (26:19):
This is something from your body of TV worker. It's
like this is your life?

Speaker 2 (26:23):
Is it like a quiz show?

Speaker 6 (26:24):
Yeah, but it's and you're the only contestant.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Well, I hope I can answer the question.

Speaker 6 (26:27):
So here's the TV show. Do you remember this?

Speaker 10 (26:32):
Hi? I'm Amanda Keller. The three long months of torture
are nearly over. Our six incredibly mismatched hellmates. If only
to last just one more week, If they can do it,
the fines they've copped for breaking rules will be dropped
and they'll pick up a well deserved five grand apiece.
Now by now you might think you know them all.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Pretty well, but do you do you? Is that house
from hell?

Speaker 9 (26:57):
That was.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
That was before Big Brother. Yes, that was the precursor
the Big Brother.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
This is where I discovered to you, and I was
this is before I met you.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
This is about my body again.

Speaker 5 (27:09):
But I was working in Brisbane and I used to
watch that show. I loved it so much and I
used to think, I one day I'd like to work
with that lady. And really this was nineteen ninety seven. Wow,
So tell us about House from Hell.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
Well, it started as a radio competition that Andrew Denton
dreamed up. Becuse my sell. I got a peg on
my nose that Andrew dreamt up. And then someone said
us turn that into a TV concept for House from Hell.
And the Big Brother concept was separate to that. That
came after that. It was separate.

Speaker 6 (27:39):
Brother didn't come along until two thousand.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Oh, that's right. But we locked a whole lot of
people in six people in the house, changed the furniture around,
played tricks on them, played games with them, all that
kind of stuff.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
Cause the whole premise was it's terrible to be in
a sharehouse. And you had different demographics.

Speaker 6 (27:54):
There was a Scottish guy, there was an old guy,
there was a lesbian. I used to love the show.
I worshiped at the table of that show. It was great.
It was and that's why that's part of your body.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Okay, you've got another examples.

Speaker 6 (28:10):
No, we're just gonna do Is that the only one? No,
because the ABC thought this was a quick show.

Speaker 5 (28:18):
Tomorrow until every day, I'll get some more stuff and
we'll explore.

Speaker 4 (28:22):
Your body one at a time.

Speaker 6 (28:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
Fun begin she looks black.

Speaker 6 (28:35):
Vote for Amanda. I want this to happen so much
for you. I don't know what I can do.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
You can give people the voting information registered.

Speaker 5 (28:45):
Your vote for Amanda is the Newton best Bloody TV
presenter in the world.

Speaker 6 (28:50):
TV week Ladies dot Com douct.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
Thank you, Brendan.

Speaker 6 (28:53):
It's gonna happen.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
Jonesy and Amanda Can't shut up on the Jonesy and
Amanda Podcast. Download the free iHeart app.

Speaker 6 (28:59):
On any other Tuesday would be an oiordinary Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
But no, today, Sorry, everyone.

Speaker 6 (29:05):
Is a day that Amanda has a call.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
I know, but I'm feeling it's one of those ones.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
Right.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
I listened it to my nose.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
I feel fine.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
I't a sound cloth, but I actually feel Steve.

Speaker 6 (29:14):
Nix just rang and said, hey, back off, that's my material.
She said, I'm doing back up side.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
I was saying about Bonnie Tyler. I'm going to I
might get that strips or gig now.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
Not from poor poor song though. No, I'm not one
hundred per cent sure.

Speaker 2 (29:29):
So okay, let's get to it.

Speaker 6 (29:33):
Tin Hat Tuesday a fixture Tin Hats.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
I've got a couple of examples here. These are the
ones that have come by my desk. Yep, this is
one that's been around for a long time.

Speaker 6 (29:45):
You don't even have a desk.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
That's what's so crazy, bless you. This one's been around
for a long time. And I've heard this one too,
but it keeps coming up again and again in this realm.
And that is that is Stevie Wonder really blind. In
twenty ten, Paul McCartney knocked over a mic standard a
White House performance. Stevie wanted to court it without missing
a beat.

Speaker 6 (30:07):
Yeah, that's like dared devil.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Though, excuse me, it's dared devil.

Speaker 6 (30:10):
Well, dared devil. You know, remember the Daredevil, the superhero
is a dared devil. If you're blind, are you all
your other senses?

Speaker 4 (30:21):
What sense tells you?

Speaker 2 (30:22):
What sense tells you? The microphone stands fallen over.

Speaker 6 (30:26):
Sorry, I said, bless you three sneeze.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
I know, and just one bless me is enough. So well,
that's not all it took. Apparently he also there are
shots people say he's attended basketball games. I think that sucks.
People have said he's expressed excuse me, an interest in photography,
which they think is.

Speaker 6 (30:45):
You know, I think people are just making this up.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
And also he wanted to buy an airplane. That one
is unusual. Apparently he himself lined into this, and there
have been stories and I've heard this. People have said
they've been driving down Sunset Boulevard and they've seen.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
Him driving a car, driving a car.

Speaker 6 (31:02):
I won't have anything of it.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
Okay, Well, he himself leaned into this. In twenty seventeen,
he said, this year I will reveal the truth. And
do you want to know what the truth was? This
is this quote. Yep, I'm actually blind.

Speaker 6 (31:12):
Blind, Thank you, Stevie.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
I've got another one, this one that came up this week.
Excuse me, I'm having a sneeze face and then it
will be done.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
I'm at this point where is this irritating or is
it it's kind of mesmerizing as well?

Speaker 2 (31:25):
Well, I'm going to push through because I don't feel sick.
I just sound like this one more excuse me, and
now let's continue. Dolly Parton was a recipient of a
two million dollar donation from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelcey.
They gave out a whole lot of money twenty million
at the on their wedding day, and so she was

(31:50):
a recipient of two million dollars of that. And here
she is. She recorded a video and he's gone viral
of her saying thank you.

Speaker 9 (32:00):
Sis, Dolly, and I was just told that you two
are making a donation of two million dollars to my
imagination library. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm blown
away and overjoyed with that gratitude. Now it's evident that
you two have made given back a key part of
your life. So hey, when you have your firstborn, can

(32:22):
I have it? Because that is going to be one
special baby.

Speaker 6 (32:26):
What's the problem.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
The problem is that apparently when she said can I
have your first born? Can I have your baby? She
did a symbol with her hands, which just looks like
Dolly with her big long nails holding a hand a
certain way. But people feel that that is the elite's
symbol and the elites eat babies. So Dolly is saying,

(32:49):
can I have your baby? Because it would be delicious.
She doesn't look like it doesn't look like she could
fit one in.

Speaker 6 (32:57):
So people are saying, and so that finger thing that
she's doing that which I'm doing like.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
A tie dancer move. No, it's like the devil horns.
It's kind of like, you know, the bullhorns. The devil horns.
People are saying, that is the sign that of an elite.

Speaker 6 (33:11):
He looks like he's gonna flick a boogie.

Speaker 2 (33:12):
That's it, and they they and that means she wants
to eat their child.

Speaker 5 (33:15):
Well, that sounds reasonable and completely Why wouldn't Dolly Pardon
want to eat Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's little baby?

Speaker 2 (33:22):
But why and why wouldn't she say so in a
secret kind of way in a very viral video.

Speaker 5 (33:26):
Have you got something you would like to share with us?
On tin hat Tuesday?

Speaker 2 (33:29):
My sneezers have finished, so feel free to join us.

Speaker 6 (33:36):
It's tin hat Tuesday. Do you believe in that the
world is flat? I don't know.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
I don't know what's happening in the world. Is Stevie
Wonder actually sighted? Is that the word can he.

Speaker 6 (33:51):
See he's blind? I think he sends his stuff. Someone
once said he sniffed out of buffet or something like that.

Speaker 4 (33:59):
It's smell.

Speaker 6 (34:00):
He walked straight to the buffet.

Speaker 2 (34:01):
Here's a sense of smell because.

Speaker 6 (34:03):
His olfactory senses are better.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (34:05):
Yeah, but and you signed that.

Speaker 5 (34:07):
Paul McCartney was singing away and he knocked the microphone
stair and I've.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Seen the footage and Steve just reaches out and catches it.

Speaker 5 (34:14):
Yeah, he catches it because he's got that in the wind.
Did you see Daredevil? No?

Speaker 6 (34:20):
Actually, good idea because it was rereadful.

Speaker 2 (34:21):
That was beneflet.

Speaker 6 (34:22):
Yeah, I didn't mind. I think it was underrated.

Speaker 5 (34:24):
But anyway away from that, thirteen fifty five twenty two
is our number. I was worried that this man had
been taken by big conspiracy because we hadn't heard from
him for.

Speaker 6 (34:34):
A few weeks. But now he's back with his own
intro Robert Melton to.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
Go A where what to go? A? Where to go?
Where to go?

Speaker 8 (34:43):
Where?

Speaker 1 (34:46):
What?

Speaker 3 (34:47):
Rather?

Speaker 6 (34:47):
Are you calling us from a bunker.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
Over away in a spaceship.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
Do some work on the underground hangars at Pyne Gap? What?

Speaker 6 (34:59):
Really?

Speaker 3 (35:02):
That's a joke.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
We can't tell, we can't tell, right, what's your conspiracy today?

Speaker 3 (35:09):
All right, what's what's Cuba, Iraq, Afghanistan, Venezuela and now Iran?
God in common?

Speaker 2 (35:20):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
America has only attacked all those nations because they don't
have a Rothschild's Reserve bank meaning what meaning right now?
Because they're taking Iran, right, they're going to they're going
to bring all the countries in the world in conformity
so they can bring in the new World order.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Is the Rothschilds behind this? Is this the point?

Speaker 3 (35:49):
Well, well, they're one of the thirteen banking families that
run the banking systems around the world. Our own reserve
bank here in Australia is run by Black Rock, which
is it's a subsidiary of the Rothschol family.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
And so you're saying that I'm a bit thick with
this stuff that America has invaded all those countries because
they don't have this banking system and they want to
install this banking system. Get them on the Dolomites.

Speaker 3 (36:19):
Yeah, well the rock Chols us America to do all
the being for them.

Speaker 6 (36:24):
Okay, thirteen banking families, So there's a lot of other
banking families.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Well there's Julie Anthony family.

Speaker 6 (36:33):
Georgia and happy Dragon.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (36:37):
Yeah, so that's it. Do banks have the mascots anymore?
Because you had Julie Anthony Dragon.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
No, that was the same one.

Speaker 6 (36:45):
Yeah, No, Julia Anthony was not a dragon. She sent
the national anthem at the end of the ABC.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
That's the same bank.

Speaker 6 (36:52):
No. But my point is what other banks do they have,
like a.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
I don't know. I mean the Dolomites account. I've seen
people traveling through Europe and going to the Dollarmite Mountains
are going, wow, look what Australian kids are funding.

Speaker 6 (37:03):
The banking people. We have that, John Simon. Yeah, well savior,
thank you, Robin until next time, thank you. Kate has
joined us.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
Well, Kate, what's your conspiracy?

Speaker 7 (37:16):
Well I have heard that those awesome tweets Mary, Kate and.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Ashley who were on yes have.

Speaker 7 (37:27):
Been tricking up for all these decades. And well, you
plural day are one person.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
I reckon, So why would you reckon?

Speaker 4 (37:38):
I was watching Full House and we're only so one
at a time.

Speaker 6 (37:42):
Yeah, there was a two tweets.

Speaker 4 (37:43):
No, that's right.

Speaker 6 (37:44):
Because of child laws.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
Yes, Chimney at the time, Katie, your sister. Why are
people saying, why why would there be a conspiracy to
pretend there were two?

Speaker 7 (37:57):
Well, I think they're just trying to get themselves known
a bit more. You know, it's all about publicity, and
you know they were identical.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
But haven't they been photographed together? Haven't they been seen together?

Speaker 7 (38:13):
I think that was a hologram.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
It's all very modern and it is always follow I
wonder if there are other sister Elizabeth, listening to this
and going, hang on, hello, Kate, thank you, I've enjoyed
that one.

Speaker 6 (38:27):
Thank you for all your cause.

Speaker 5 (38:28):
Tin Hat Tuesday. You can always join us Jonesydemanda dot
com dot au.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
We take our hats off now.

Speaker 6 (38:32):
Please if big Conspiracy doesn't get to you first GM.

Speaker 5 (38:37):
I'm always on the lookout for a great money making idea.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
Are you looking for a side hustle? No, not really.

Speaker 5 (38:43):
I just I like entrepreneurs. I like people that put
stuff together. I always think those many years ago an
old boss of mine said, have you got to spare.

Speaker 6 (38:52):
Thirty grand would you like to be on the ground
level of this juice company? And I said, who drinks juice?

Speaker 4 (38:59):
What company was it Boost Juice.

Speaker 2 (39:02):
So you admire people to have the idea, but you
don't back them, is what you're saying.

Speaker 6 (39:05):
Well, I bought a Harley Davidson motorcycle with it instead,
which is that taste leaking oil?

Speaker 2 (39:10):
Very good?

Speaker 5 (39:12):
But I'm happy with that purchase because I don't think
I had the stones. I don't have the business acumen,
but I do admire entrepreneurs, people that you know, they
put their dick on the line more or less and come.

Speaker 4 (39:21):
Up with cool companies that what sort of idea is?

Speaker 5 (39:26):
Well, but you look at, okay, look at like Guzman
il Gomez for example, Mexican food.

Speaker 6 (39:32):
How simple as that? Then the aforementioned Boost Juice.

Speaker 5 (39:35):
They tried to do a Mexican component before, but it
didn't work. Like I'm sure it's working, but it didn't
work as well as guzmanil Gomez.

Speaker 6 (39:45):
Why does that happen?

Speaker 2 (39:46):
I think the people behind Boost, I think they're also
doing it.

Speaker 6 (39:49):
Yoshi, Yoshi, you got to get on the yoshi.

Speaker 2 (39:52):
That right, right, Yochi Yochi.

Speaker 6 (39:55):
But is that like a sahi? It's like frozen yogurt.

Speaker 2 (39:58):
Yeah, But.

Speaker 5 (40:01):
All the all the Middle Eastern crime gang seemed to
be blowing each other up. 've got a tobacco thing
or an asahi.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
But they tried to do guzman. I think in the
States it didn't go because the Mexican food everywhere.

Speaker 6 (40:12):
Yeah, that is the home a Mexican fan. So after pay,
remember after pay, two blakes putting their bins out, boom
b in dolera, two neighborinos putting their bins out on
the street.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
We're talking about after pay.

Speaker 6 (40:26):
You and I are smart people. Why have we not
come up with?

Speaker 2 (40:28):
Well, someone said you want to put money into boost juice,
and you said, who's drinking juice? So maybe I won't
back you on man.

Speaker 6 (40:35):
So anyway, on my holidays, I noticed a bus was
a school.

Speaker 5 (40:39):
Bus completely painted in blackboard paid and it was called
the blackboard bus, meaning and a phone number. And I
think the idea was, you're hire this bus for your
next event and people come and write nice things on it.
And what did you see big letters on the side.

Speaker 6 (40:59):
Matt likes sea word. Actually that's sure, that sounds terrible
opposite to sea word. But Matt likes.

Speaker 2 (41:12):
Male parts.

Speaker 6 (41:14):
Matt likes male parts. First thing I did was take
a picture and send it to my brother. Matt and
send your secrets out. But this is why we can't
have nice things.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
Had a blackboard feel.

Speaker 6 (41:24):
I'm not blackboard. Hurry and the blackboard. Hurry up, man,
you like it. I blame the limbs.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
Well, I don't blame the limbsip. I'm sitting here, I
have no distractions. I can't do word or because.

Speaker 6 (41:49):
You're off your phone. This has been one of the
best shows we've ever done.

Speaker 4 (41:52):
Oh okay, thank you.

Speaker 6 (41:54):
Because you're off your phone, so you should be thanking me.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
Well, I look at the rundown. Normally I'm the one
who fills this with stuff. I phone from my phone.

Speaker 5 (42:01):
Coming up next our we'll talk about Amanda's phone. Also
Instagram on golf.

Speaker 1 (42:06):
You're listening to the Jonesy and Amanda podcast.

Speaker 6 (42:11):
We have so many request for them to do it again.

Speaker 2 (42:16):
Mentioned lay off the moonshine.

Speaker 4 (42:18):
Always knocking a man.

Speaker 6 (42:19):
It's so weak.

Speaker 5 (42:25):
Second day back from holidays and it's been a very
eventful show.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
Well its second day back. A few people have said
that they've got colds after coming back from holidays. It
seems to be the way, doesn't.

Speaker 6 (42:35):
You came back from China with a cold. Some we
had that it didn't work out.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
Well, I didn't eat any bats.

Speaker 6 (42:40):
It was Guy Sebastian's fault.

Speaker 2 (42:42):
Remember he went to Woohan, he was walked around the
wet market and said he had tasted some unusual.

Speaker 6 (42:47):
Food three piece feed of panguin.

Speaker 2 (42:50):
Following to Brisbane as well. I didn't have any of
that like.

Speaker 6 (42:53):
A regular typhoid, Mary, anywhere else you want.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
To go.

Speaker 5 (42:57):
Spread your disease During the show, I ran off down
to chemist warehouse and picked you up some lembsips.

Speaker 2 (43:03):
It was very kind of you. And then I said,
give me a call if you're not going to make
a pack. But you can't call my phone because my
phone isn't working.

Speaker 5 (43:11):
You know.

Speaker 6 (43:11):
I was just trying to help a little.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Someone said I'm to try and help. Let's talk further
about that next show, in case anyone's forgotten what happened
to my phone? An eventful day. I thank you for
the suitor fed or what.

Speaker 6 (43:24):
Did you give me a limbs?

Speaker 2 (43:26):
I feel a bit better.

Speaker 6 (43:27):
I got you the big pack too.

Speaker 2 (43:28):
It's only five in them file of six? What's the
small pack?

Speaker 6 (43:31):
That was the big pack?

Speaker 5 (43:33):
I ran down to Chemist's warehouse during our radio program.

Speaker 6 (43:38):
Oh there's ten, there's ten.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
Thank you, Brett, I do appreciate it, do you? Yeah? Well,
you know, I felt you needed to do a small
make good for the crashing of my phone in my
car that happened as we finished our shower.

Speaker 5 (43:51):
As you say this, I sound like some ogre that
came into your car and crushed it.

Speaker 6 (43:56):
What happened, counsel, he said?

Speaker 2 (43:58):
She said, Shall I start?

Speaker 6 (44:00):
You always start?

Speaker 2 (44:01):
Well, it was my phone and my cars. How about
I tell the story. I had dropped my phone in
between my seat and the console as we were leaving
last night from the car park. I picked it up,
dropped down, picked it up, dropped down. You were there,
and I thought, you've got longer hands.

Speaker 6 (44:17):
I was away from your car.

Speaker 5 (44:18):
We park in separate parts of the car park, and
I was in my motorcycle gear and I heard this.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
Because you're always a good friend to me, you will help.
And I said, can you try and pick up my phone?
All you had to do, because you had longer fingers,
was pick it up and take it.

Speaker 6 (44:38):
But I wanted to come around the back with my
long fingers.

Speaker 2 (44:43):
Becase and sorry, Ryan, and we all look like we're
going to throw up, because there's no point in that.

Speaker 6 (44:49):
There was no, do you know?

Speaker 2 (44:50):
Because I could.

Speaker 4 (44:51):
See where I was.

Speaker 6 (44:53):
What I'm saying, I was worried to see where it was.

Speaker 5 (44:57):
And those those German cars, they've got a lot lot
of telemetry and things like that, and I thought, I
just need to get a bird's eye look of it.

Speaker 2 (45:04):
There's no way you could have seen it from there.
I could see where it was stuck because I saw
where it was.

Speaker 6 (45:10):
And then you said, you said, going this way.

Speaker 5 (45:12):
So I got on the chair a bit of As
soon as you're on the chair, it sensed a different
weight to your weight. I didn't touch any of the controls,
and it started presumingly that I'm Harley and adjusting the
seat to my weight. And what happened was crunch, crunch.

Speaker 6 (45:31):
There was the phone. You might have been mucking around
with it.

Speaker 2 (45:36):
The only way we could it was to lift the
seat up, which I did, and then yes, thank you,
thank you, thank you to reveal my splintered, destroyed phone.

Speaker 6 (45:46):
But it could have it could have cracked as we
were moving it up.

Speaker 2 (45:49):
I am totally anyway.

Speaker 6 (45:53):
Anyway, what do I have to go down to mister phone?
Fix it?

Speaker 2 (45:56):
I bought a new one, if you'd like to pay
me two thousand dollars a great Well said I.

Speaker 6 (46:00):
Would get another quote.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
I can't phone and find one.

Speaker 6 (46:06):
Get your senior's phone. You know that's one of the
four buttons on it.

Speaker 2 (46:09):
Hilarious, Brendan, Well, you're I was just trying to help
you are, mister princess fingers.

Speaker 6 (46:15):
I'm a help beating.

Speaker 2 (46:15):
You don't do any research texting. You always say to me,
when's this shinty? Can you find out?

Speaker 11 (46:21):
No?

Speaker 6 (46:21):
Friend, I was helping you out, and that's just one.

Speaker 2 (46:24):
Of that's that's the thing. Sometimes it happens. You just
try to help.

Speaker 6 (46:27):
Sometimes this is something that tribal drama.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
Can you hear my nose?

Speaker 5 (46:33):
I was just trying to help, That's all I'm doing.

Speaker 6 (46:41):
I was just trying to help the tribal dramas beating
for this.

Speaker 5 (46:47):
Your friend is in her car and the call came out,
ran dad, and I ran into your car. I got
into your car to get your phone back.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
It slid down between the seat and the console. Somehow
are you putting your big bum in there? Moved the
seed of back and it crunched my phone. Let's just
plain and simple. There's no blame. But I'd like to acknowledgement.

Speaker 5 (47:09):
Let me be the man and just listen to what
I was saying. I said, let me get around the
back here and get my fingers hit.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
You wouldn't have been able to get it.

Speaker 6 (47:17):
Why how do you know that?

Speaker 2 (47:18):
Because I could see looking down that there was too
much mechanics he stuff between.

Speaker 6 (47:24):
There and the I'm a guy that knows that stuff.

Speaker 2 (47:26):
But your hand have got in there. You could go
in from the top that you don't know that. I know,
I know how big that space is.

Speaker 6 (47:35):
I'm a helper.

Speaker 5 (47:36):
One night I was coming back from a lunch and
there was a fellow with his bag just going through
the city.

Speaker 2 (47:42):
And you have a big dollar side, a balance lava.

Speaker 6 (47:46):
Was baggage, one of those baggage you know, with the
luggage with a traveler.

Speaker 5 (47:52):
He's come to our fair city. And he looked he
just looked cactus. And I said, where are you going?

Speaker 6 (47:58):
Mate?

Speaker 5 (47:58):
And he went and he didn't speak the inglace, and
I said, well where and he said hotel?

Speaker 6 (48:04):
And then I took him. I thought he meant the Marriott.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
Why would you assume that.

Speaker 6 (48:08):
Because he'd shown me a thing that said the Marriott.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
Okay, well that's fair enough, and then.

Speaker 6 (48:12):
I dropped him. We went through a few back alleys
and got him into it.

Speaker 5 (48:17):
And then as I left, I realized sometime later, as
I was walking around the corner there he was again
still lost and he and he know not the Marriot,
and I said, oh you know, And that was pretty
much I hadn't helped this guy at.

Speaker 6 (48:30):
All, and now the rain was coming.

Speaker 2 (48:31):
Sometimes it's you're the opposite of helpful, Brendan.

Speaker 6 (48:34):
This is I can't help anyone.

Speaker 2 (48:36):
Now it can happen. You try your best, but not
always successfully. The tribal job is beating for I was
just trying to help.

Speaker 6 (48:43):
Rhann has joined us.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
What happened Rhiannon?

Speaker 8 (48:46):
So at my very first job, day one, I just
sided Wallis. I was checkout operator and there was a
guy that was trying to pay my fox. And it
was the old swighte time, so there was no.

Speaker 6 (48:57):
Tapping to go.

Speaker 8 (48:58):
There was the old school and it was a dodgy
F pop machine, so swapping and swapping and it's not working.
I okay, I'll give it a go, and I do
one swat and I snapped the card.

Speaker 2 (49:07):
Right now, let me have a go.

Speaker 5 (49:14):
You were just trying to help me out did that
guy say, please get me another cab.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
I'm so very very much no, thank you.

Speaker 6 (49:23):
Jess is joining, Hello Jess.

Speaker 2 (49:24):
What happened?

Speaker 11 (49:27):
Well, my daughter came home with a primary school art
project and she had to paint onto a canvas. So
she spent the evening painting this great wave onto the
canvas and she finished it. She went to bed, and
she was really quite pleased with herself. But every time
I looked at it, because I'm actually a high school
art teacher, so I was looking at it and I thought,
I just don't it's just not doing the vibes but

(49:48):
I think it should. And the paint was still a
little bit wet. So I just went into it and
I felt like I was fixing it up, and I
was looking at my art references and I was looking
at artists and like how I teach my students. So
I was like, well, going into it, I was really inspired,
and I changed her canvas and I was like in
the morning, she woke up and I'm like, look, I
just like added a little bit of cleare to it,

(50:09):
and she just burst into tears and punched it and
put her hand through and she's like not handing it
in I'm not doing it all.

Speaker 6 (50:15):
No, so it looked good in your eyes.

Speaker 11 (50:21):
Well, it was probably how I would like direct my
students to do it. But I didn't really let her
like express herself the way she wanted to. I shouldn't
have interrupted her own learning process. It's not my face
to touch it, but.

Speaker 2 (50:32):
To put hold it. That's what Prouhart would have done.

Speaker 6 (50:36):
You know, it's like that. You remember that Fresco over
in Italy, and it was the business.

Speaker 2 (50:41):
She said she would restore it. She'd never done it before.
She made Jesus look like mister potato head.

Speaker 6 (50:47):
Thank you for you.

Speaker 5 (50:48):
Of course, I don't feel so bad now, and don't
stop helping people.

Speaker 2 (50:52):
Don't stop helping people, but maybe Brendan you should.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
You can see a whole lot more of Jonesy and
Amanda on our socials, follow us on Instagram and face Book.
Money that's money, extra cash Jonesy and amandas.

Speaker 6 (51:06):
Ten questions sixty seconds on the clock.

Speaker 5 (51:08):
You can pass if you don't know an answer will
come back to that question of time permits.

Speaker 6 (51:11):
You get all the questions right, you win one thousand dollars.

Speaker 2 (51:13):
You can make it two thousand dollars by answering a
bonus question, but it's double or nothing.

Speaker 6 (51:17):
Steve is in epping.

Speaker 2 (51:19):
Hi, Steve, I'm a bit clogged of nose, but as
long as you can hear me, we're going to be
over effect you.

Speaker 6 (51:27):
Is it affecting your oral pleasure? There, Steve?

Speaker 3 (51:30):
No, it's all good.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
Okay, all right, Steve. We've got ten questions. We've got
sixty seconds. If you're not sure, say passed. We might
have time to come back. Okay, awesome, Steve, good luck,
because here we go. He comes. Question number one? What
fruit is used to make wine?

Speaker 3 (51:49):
Great?

Speaker 2 (51:50):
Question two? How many dwarves were now white friends with
bo No?

Speaker 6 (51:56):
No, not twelve.

Speaker 2 (51:58):
Friends having there's seven, Steve.

Speaker 4 (52:04):
I don't know what you were thinking of dwarves in
the bar?

Speaker 2 (52:07):
She needs a bigger bar.

Speaker 6 (52:09):
Or feeling happy you got out?

Speaker 2 (52:12):
Oh sorry, thank you.

Speaker 5 (52:14):
I'm here all week. Try the fish. I was a
bit worried about you yesterday. Your phone was smashed, eaten.

Speaker 6 (52:20):
By your killer car, by my car, like something out
of Stephen King's novel Christine. Well, I'm worried about you going.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
And by a certain friend who attempted to help me,
and I'm.

Speaker 5 (52:32):
Not All I did was very high aid to you
to help me and the endeavors of your scroll.

Speaker 6 (52:39):
And I think I like to think that you had
a good night's sleep last night.

Speaker 2 (52:41):
Well, no, I was anxious because I knew I had
to get up very early to go to the Apple
shop this morning. I was anxious about what my appointment
would because I couldn't get access to my diary.

Speaker 6 (52:49):
Fruits of your evening scroll a few days ago, or okay,
not a mid morning scroll a few days ago, the
intro was still relevant.

Speaker 4 (52:57):
It's time once again for amandas evening scroll.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
You get a choice. I've got one about it's undoing
the information that we've been told about these things. One's
about sugar and one's about sleep. Where do you want
to start.

Speaker 6 (53:11):
Adventure?

Speaker 2 (53:12):
Which one do you want to start with?

Speaker 6 (53:13):
Sugar?

Speaker 2 (53:14):
All right, let's start with the sugar. Sugar does not
make children hyper. Apparently, it seems that everyone has been
told it does. But this has been very well studied.
Scientist did experiments where they gave kids red liquid. Some
of them made sugar in it, some didn't. When they
measured their behavior, there was no difference between the two groups.
When parents were asked, did your kid become high per

(53:35):
afuty drinking this. The people who'd taken sugar said yes,
the ones who hadn't said yes, So the kids were
just running around being filled. Another says here, sugar is
used by your cells to make energy, but it's not
a stimulant, it's a fuel. It's like adding a huge
gas tank to your car. Doesn't turn your Civic into
a Formula one car.

Speaker 6 (53:54):
Now it doesn't, but you can go longer well, and
yacivic you would be able to go well.

Speaker 2 (53:59):
The problem is kids, They say a hyper a lot,
and that means that there are other times when they're
hyper a lot and you don't notice it. Kids just
have moments where they run around and get the zuomies
and a hyper. It's not related to sugar.

Speaker 5 (54:12):
Psychosomatic. You say, oh, you had all that red cordial.
Now Ryan's going crazy.

Speaker 6 (54:16):
Right.

Speaker 2 (54:16):
It will make your teeth fall out, but it won't
make you hyper. Speaking of choose your own adventure, teeth
or hyper.

Speaker 4 (54:23):
How about this one, I think I'm going with teeth.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
How much sleep do you get at night? Do you
get it?

Speaker 5 (54:29):
I'm getting now I'm sleeping like Rip Van Winkle, a
beardless Ripvan Wink about RiPP one out.

Speaker 6 (54:34):
We I used to sleep, you know, I go to
bed at nine thirty.

Speaker 5 (54:39):
On waitical question, but keep going three twenty. But now
I'm sleeping like the aforementioned rip Van Winkle.

Speaker 2 (54:46):
Well, we've always been told, haven't we, that eight hours
is what is required human cells to regenerate and for
our mental health, et cetera.

Speaker 4 (54:55):
Eight hours.

Speaker 2 (54:56):
Apparently this is a furfe You do not need eight
hour hours of sleep. Doctor Daniel Lieberman good Steve Liebman
spend a decade researching this and it included the eight
hour sleep requirement, and he has come to the conclusion
that we do not need that. You know that the
optimum is somewhere around between six hours twenty four minutes

(55:19):
seven hours forty eight minutes. So if you're only getting
the quality of the sleep is better than the length
of the sleep, and so don't stress. If you're not
getting eight hour sleep at night, that is quite all right.
If you feel refreshed when you wake up, that's all
you need to know. This is the question to ask
yourself when you're lying awake. Are you satisfied with your
sleep at the end of the night. Do you feel

(55:39):
you've had enough? Do you stay awake all day without dozing?
Are your sleep between two am and four am? Do
you spend less than thirty minutes awake during the night.
Do you get between six and eight hour sleep at night?
If you answer yes to those questions, then you're doing okay,
So don't stress about it.

Speaker 6 (55:56):
Mister sleep, mister yawn, he lied to us.

Speaker 2 (56:00):
Yeah, that winkle, he's just got sleep.

Speaker 5 (56:03):
At the.

Speaker 2 (56:05):
Tune in again for another exciting edition of Amanda's Evening
Scroll and you're welcome.

Speaker 3 (56:11):
Are you?

Speaker 2 (56:12):
That's enough? Well we can have another lemsip.

Speaker 6 (56:16):
Well not for another two and a half hours. I
don't want to see you snorting it in the bathroom.

Speaker 2 (56:24):
Well, I won't ask for help around my car. Let's
just put it that way. Tomorrow, I hope my taste
buds have returned because we have TikTok Tucker.

Speaker 5 (56:33):
Of course, And if you missed anything on the show
