The Jonesy and Amanda Show.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Georgeous Amanda.
Speaker 4 (00:14):
Mistress Amanda is delivering discipline.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
It hurts, but someone's got to do add Amanda and
the virile Jonesy heard.
Speaker 5 (00:24):
Them describe him as a drunken idiot, stay in school
and learned school.
Speaker 6 (00:29):
Yeah, okay, jones and Amanda, those are names that you
would never forget shot.
Speaker 5 (00:35):
Up where Hello, Amanda, how are you today?
Speaker 3 (00:38):
I'm well. I may still sound a little bit mucus.
Sorry to start the show with sure word, but I
feel fine and thank you for us Okay.
Speaker 5 (00:45):
Well I didn't you just brought it up.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Lots of people have remedies that thing. You squish up
your nose and it comes out the other side. Someone
today said someone I said, should chop up garlic, lots
of garlic in and but I put that on some bread.
He said, I'll give you the breath of a thousand camels,
but it'll clear it up very quickly.
Speaker 5 (01:04):
I think Robbie Williams might have had some of that up.
He schne as well. It maybe that was just like
it just came out of there. But I don't know
what it was. It could have been a tic tac
that sometimes.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Could stitch from years ago. They come out.
Speaker 5 (01:16):
Sometimes you never know. Have you seen fantastic voyage?
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Speaking of showbiz? Wow, Ryan, take about.
Speaker 5 (01:23):
Give yourself a clue.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
So we went to see the Kingdom of Fools. This
is your show, and I'm just going to say, we
usually mock you in here, and there'll be more of
that too. But the show is so brilliant. It feels
so a narchic things are happening. It's so slapsticky, but
so much craftsmanship went into it. You wrote it, you
directed it, you star in it. Congratulation, thanks you so much.
Speaker 7 (01:47):
That's really the word for coming after show.
Speaker 5 (01:50):
Was a bit of a hog well about me? A
talent hole, that's what I was spreading around. I was
just walking past the other cast. Jeez, couldn't hog that
a bit more, couldn't he? But made good on you,
Very proud of you. It was so good. I laugh,
I laugh, and.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
I mean, we'll talk more about it later. I don't
know how you managed all those, all the stunts was
it was so physical?
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:11):
How do you do that? Night after night? It's extraordinary?
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (02:14):
Well, we love it, and I think part of my
favorite bit about this play is just how crazy everything
gets and then it's a little The stage is a
little messy at the start, and then by the end
it's just wild.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
It gave me some stress. At the end, I thought,
Who's going to clean that up? And then I realized
it was you, and I was relieved.
Speaker 9 (02:29):
And I found out he's got a secret about the eggs,
which will unpack a bit later.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
Or are we saying too No, we can talk about
that because there was a lot of eggs being thrown around,
and you know what, I thought.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
You don't like food wastitch.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
I do not in any way.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
But maybe you should throw them down your throat.
Speaker 9 (02:46):
We'll talk about that. We can't do anything til we
do the fast five, though. Would you like to play?
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Give us a call.
Speaker 9 (02:51):
Thirteen fifty five twenty two is our numberous.
Speaker 5 (02:55):
Let's get ready to rumble of Jonesy and demands five.
I don't know why I said that. I just felt
that it seemed right. You know, let's get ready to rumble.
This could be my new thing, might start doing it,
might go to like boxing things. Just stand in the
middle and just go. Let's get ready to rumble.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Is that a new thing, because that phrase has been
around for some time. I'm sorry to tell you, Brendan s.
Speaker 9 (03:21):
When we have the fast five five questions, can you
go all the way and answer all five questions correctly?
Speaker 5 (03:26):
If you do that AMOUNTA will.
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Say we just played Brian Adams. If you question five
correct you will get a double pass to Brian Adams.
Roll with the punches to it.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
We can get him back on the show.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
He doesn't like fools, so I don't know if he
choose to come in.
Speaker 5 (03:40):
He didn't like what we played for the You know,
the Robin Hood song we played.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
That was a famous story that the bride requested the
theme from Robin Hood to go down the aisle and
they played.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Well he was she was hoping. It was everything I do.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
I do it for years from the film Robin Hook.
Speaker 5 (03:54):
The full DJ played Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Through the car.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
We put that to Brian Adams was not a very
dead pan has said, that's an urban myth. The words
you take the other wind out of ourselves.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
Play along. Let me explain the business of radio. We
play your full song one thousand times a row, and
you come on the show and be charming.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
And that's where it ended.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
Really.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Michael's in Liver, Hello, Michael, very well, thank you. His
question number one? How many people sit on a tandem
bike to two people?
Speaker 9 (04:28):
Let's play the Not So Secret sound?
Speaker 3 (04:32):
All right, Michael, open your ears? What is this sound?
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Can I hear it again?
Speaker 10 (04:46):
Is the pep gun?
Speaker 5 (04:48):
No, it's not gun.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
End's in Miranda, Hello, An, Hello, Hello, have a listen
to this? What is that sound? I'm not sure, Little
We're not bullying. You sound like bully?
Speaker 5 (05:14):
Have you done your homework?
Speaker 3 (05:17):
No, it doesn't matter, and no problem.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Take a peek behind the scenes. Follow Jonesy and Amanda
on Instagram and Facebook. Jonesy and demandas.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
We are up to press number two, which has its
own introduction, it is the not so Secret sound. Well
here be we can use words now we've played all
our zinging intros.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
I know you're from the A B C. And you
don't like ertain not from the A B C. You
like the whole off. Mike ak, We we have Mitch
why Hello, Mitch?
Speaker 10 (06:00):
Hello, guys, how are you well?
Speaker 9 (06:02):
I'm a commercial radio being. I've been in commercial radio
since nineteen ninety.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
I have to stop what I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (06:07):
I like slick radio. I like stuff I don't want,
you know, that's what you want.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Fruit Fruit's not sleep, It's not fru fruit. You just
want fruit fruit.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Mitch.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
A few people have been struggling with this. I'm going
to give you a clue. Here is the not so
secret sound. And if you can't guess what it is,
here's a clue I've been doing. You know what do
you now think that that sound is?
Speaker 10 (06:30):
Is it opening a can? Yes, it is a can
of soft.
Speaker 3 (06:33):
Drink, I think, judging by Brendan, it's a.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
Boss on Ryan for bringing that up. Thank you, Mitch.
Speaker 9 (06:42):
What position does Harry Potter play in Twidditch? Is it seeker,
chaser or keeper? A B or C seeker chaser or keeper?
Speaker 10 (06:52):
He's a seeker.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
He is him and Judith Durham Question number four.
Speaker 5 (06:58):
If you're of a certain age, you appreciate it. Jack,
you're the only one laughing. Brandon, it's me you missus
good certainly not Mitch org Am I right.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is a blockbuster adaptation of an
ancient Greek epic poem by which author he wrote The Odyssey.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
It's not pame, no idea, no idy. Let's go to.
Speaker 5 (07:28):
Karen in Winderman Vale.
Speaker 3 (07:30):
Hello, Karen. Christopher Nolan's new film, The Odyssey. This is
an incredible blockbuster adaptation. It's an adaption of an ancient
Greek epic poem by which.
Speaker 5 (07:43):
There's a been a controversy about this.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
We'll talk about it after we've got our answer. What
who wrote the poem? Straight out of the Simpsons?
Speaker 5 (07:54):
And then what is the controversy?
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Well, the controversy is lots of people are are unhappy
with the casting, which is hilarious because these are people
who until two weeks ago didn't even know the story. Also, Ryan,
none of it's true. It's all apocryphal, isn't it.
Speaker 7 (08:09):
Yes, just looking at that.
Speaker 8 (08:11):
So it's a foundational work of fiction rather than a
true story.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
But how dare you not follow my idea of what
it should.
Speaker 9 (08:17):
Be, because that the conjecture is that Helen of Troy
is black in this particular version.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
In this version, and if you don't like it, then
just don't go and see it.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
I was always in the impression that she was not
a black colored person.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Well, because it's a documentary.
Speaker 5 (08:32):
I don't know, like Helen of Troy didn't exist, as
you say.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
The Middle Eastern.
Speaker 9 (08:37):
Does that mean that the Yeah, but when you get
your Jesus, you look at the Jesus, the Anglicized version
of Jesus.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
He is an Anglicized version outright, we have that. I
don't know, No, were you brought this up?
Speaker 5 (08:51):
No, I was just.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Saying I find the conjecture. I think all these people
who snoozed through history and didn't give a rats about
the story or something outrage that.
Speaker 9 (08:57):
The way just away from that is the Trajan Horse.
That was real though, wasn't it all?
Speaker 3 (09:01):
I would have thought, so Ryan is a Trojan horse reel.
Speaker 7 (09:04):
From my reading here, No, that's like an see.
Speaker 9 (09:07):
I always thought of Helen de Troy, the face that
would launch a thousand ships.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
Anyway, Karen, where are we who wrote the poem? It
was Homer? And this is I mean, the film is going.
It's huge. The Imax Theater in Melbourne is the only
theater in the Southern Hemisphere and only one of four
or forty one in the world that can screen The
Odyssey in its intended seventy millimeter Imax format.
Speaker 5 (09:33):
It's true they said the same about smoking the bandit.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
I'm going to watch The Odyssey on my phone as a.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
Protest, and I'm going to watch Smoking Abandon on the
protest as a god. Dear Karen, this is question five
for you. What was the score in the World Cup
Grand Final this morning?
Speaker 11 (09:54):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (09:54):
One zip one zip to who.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
One mill Yes Spain.
Speaker 9 (10:00):
Congratulations Karen, Many a Spaniard is going crazy right now.
Congratulations you won the jam pack of double past to
Brian Adams.
Speaker 5 (10:07):
Roll with the punches too, are Karen?
Speaker 12 (10:10):
Oh that's great, Thank you so much.
Speaker 5 (10:14):
Carry on.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
I'm still shocked to think that the you know, the
Trojan horse isn't real.
Speaker 5 (10:19):
He always thought it was real.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
What about the Trojan you know? What are they really?
Speaker 5 (10:23):
I hope so? Or I'll have some explaining to do
if you'd like to play the fast five. Jonessmana dot
com dot are you gem?
Speaker 9 (10:36):
We witnessed it on Friday, his directorial success, He stars,
he acts.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
He wrote it. He's a quadruple threat. We're talking about
our very own rhyme.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
Spends pretty much seventy percent of this play in stocks.
Speaker 7 (10:50):
Yes, yeah, in the pillary, because the stocks were for
the feet. But the pillary is the one that you yeah,
you're heading your arms through.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
Yes, I know that can't have been comfortable for you.
But let's talk about your brother, who you put in
a suit of armor. I saw the early incarnation of
this show, and I saw this recent one. You make
him wear the armor for longer.
Speaker 8 (11:08):
This time he's in the suit of armor for the
entire place, So ninety minutes he's in there, and it
is really genuinely heavy, like I feel, yeah, and.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
He falls over in it. He does all kinds of
pratfalls and things.
Speaker 9 (11:21):
Looking at that suit of armor, it's genuine It's not
one of those plastic ones. He didn't hire that would
be like worth upwards of two thousand dollars surely.
Speaker 7 (11:27):
Yeah, it was about two thousand, two thousand bucks. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (11:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
This play is it's set in medieval times. It's called
a Kingdom of.
Speaker 5 (11:34):
Full Is it a medieval face? Was that what you
get when you go to a theater restaurant?
Speaker 3 (11:40):
It actually could have included some food, right.
Speaker 9 (11:42):
About some women in song all night long, dirty dicks,
dirty dicks, bucks.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
Me wenches serving as tankins of beer.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
Wow, wouldn't that be incredible? It was so anarchic. I
feel like your mum when I was watching it, because
I got stressed at the end because of the mess
the set was in, but the the physicality of it's
quite extraordinary. People fall through walls, people fall over, and
bits of set fall on top of them. You pelt
your brother with eggs.
Speaker 7 (12:10):
Yeah, that's one of my favorite bits in the whole.
Speaker 5 (12:12):
Yeah, you seem to aim a lot of those eggs
that he's growing.
Speaker 9 (12:16):
It was with unerring aim. I will say this, I'm
not a fan of food fights.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
And Jonesy scooped it up for an omelet egg fights
because the smell of egg You've had to think of that.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
Ryan and I discussed this after the show. I said
to you, I said, man, what about all those crazy eggs.
How do you get the smell out of the joint? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (12:37):
Well, and then you drop the not real eggs.
Speaker 8 (12:40):
Funnily, well, the eggshell is real, but we have to
try and get the contents of the egg, like the egg,
yolk and white out of the egg because when we
did this show for the very first time, we used
real eggs and they're just impossible to clean up. And
also the theater just stinks after a couple of shows,
so everyone's nerves yeah, like we were backstage. It was
(13:00):
like after three shows when we first did it, and
we could hear the audience walking in going, oh, what stinks.
Speaker 7 (13:06):
So we had to try and.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
That wasn't critics.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
That's at the beginning.
Speaker 5 (13:12):
The thing that stinks more So.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
You had to actually drain eggs.
Speaker 8 (13:16):
So we syringe about thirty eggs for each show and
get all the egg white out, and then we have
paint that we are kids paint like paint you can
just really easily clean up. We then have to syringe
that back into the egg and then I get to
throw that at my brothers during the.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
And clean it up afterwards.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
Yeah, yep.
Speaker 8 (13:34):
I got Brendan who plays the night. I got him
with three head shots the other night and a crutch shot.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
But also there's paintings that fall off walls and people
backstage pulling out nails. I mean the stage craft is extraordinary.
Speaker 7 (13:48):
Yeah, yeah, no, we tried to take it up.
Speaker 9 (13:50):
So I involuntarily just broke out and laughed because I thought,
even this show's going to hell and this is the
worst thing for Ryan ever, or it's going exactly to plan.
That was going exactly to plan, And it started when
the curtain fell off the wallow and I know.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
That's not good to happen, and then it orders went
to pack after.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
That, it's hilarious going. And if you'd like to get tickets,
go to a Kingdom of Fools tickets.
Speaker 7 (14:14):
Is that if you just google a Kingdom of Fools tickets, it's.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
On next weekend Thursday, Friday, Saturday and a matinee on Sunday.
Speaker 7 (14:20):
Yeah that's right, yep, a the Eternity Playhouse.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
And then obviously you'll collapse in a heap after that.
Speaker 9 (14:25):
Absolutely well yeah, and if you're wearing that pillory, I'm
just I wish I just had some rotten tomatoes and cabbage.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Heads to try only fake one's bread.
Speaker 5 (14:33):
Well when in medieval times that's what you do.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
Oh and also people drink tank cards of vomit and
we and all kinds of things. Hop's everything that we
dream of on this show.
Speaker 5 (14:43):
Have we sold this show? Well, because I think it's
pretty good.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
It's excellent.
Speaker 9 (14:46):
It is excellent, Got on your rhino check it out
Kingdom of Fools tickets.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
Well, coming up next. First, we've had the Eworm of
Puerto Rico.
Speaker 5 (14:56):
You know the song yeah one, Well, thanks to you I'm.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Still obsessed with that. But we have an Australian version
a song by a little kid that I think you
probably have heard this week. Let's talk about it next
on Goal Jam Jam. Just a couple of weeks ago,
a song went viral. It was written by someone who'd
been on holidays to Puerto Rico, but it was Ai
that came up with the music and people all over
(15:23):
TikTok all over socials have gone crazy miming and dancing to.
Speaker 5 (15:26):
This first time.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
It's very catchy, isn't it. Well, move over, mister soulis Ai.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
Yeah, I forgot He's Ai.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
The song that has gone viral this week in Australia
is so fabulously charming. It's a song by a young boy.
I think he's like eight years old. His name is
Miles Phillips, and he has written a song about the bird,
the Eastern Rosella. So have a listen. This is the
first bit that he went social with. This got nearly
(16:03):
got over half a million hits on Insta for his
very first post. This is him singing the raw version
of Eastern Rosella.
Speaker 7 (16:11):
Okay, it's called.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
Eastern Roseales.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
Is that a bird?
Speaker 13 (16:18):
Yes, it's that, but I.
Speaker 5 (16:23):
Like it.
Speaker 14 (16:23):
Here we go, this is your song.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
So this is the making of that was the making
of well, that was his first post and then he
put it together with a band and this has gone
absolutely ballistic this week, close to a million views just
on Instagram alone. It's now available on Spotify. How fabulous
is this? This is Miles Phillips and Eastern Roselles.
Speaker 13 (16:55):
Hey everybody is Eastern Rossel's full bad version and it
starts like through other get the boarders, replying of A.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
To what this species is?
Speaker 15 (17:14):
Sister, look beautiful?
Speaker 13 (17:19):
It's Zella sister loose and.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
Please lad dude, leave the fix the fly.
Speaker 13 (17:30):
Into the streets, replying of A LETU.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
To what this species?
Speaker 5 (17:39):
It's so love it? I love it so good.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
There's something about the purity of that that's so beautiful.
Speaker 9 (17:48):
As someone that's been at the cold face of music,
I know a hit and that's got hit all.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Absolutely does now without an annoyed to a night year old,
it is absolutely brilliant. Miles Phillips is his name, and
he plays alongside with his dad. It is just brilliant.
Speaker 5 (18:03):
It reminds me of a young Jonesy Jones many years
ago in bad Element, all those years.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Ago that where to be know that, well, you've ruined
the dream.
Speaker 5 (18:15):
A lot of people at the time said that ad
hit all over it.
Speaker 3 (18:20):
Well, we'll hear more from Miles and I'm sure you know.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
What I'm thinking. Am I being too cavalier about this?
But it could be an F F S session?
Speaker 3 (18:31):
Absolutely no, it's Monday, but just sure I think that
he this could be something the spirit of something wonderful
right at the moment had the World Cup joy in
the air. He's really capitalizing on a mood. I think
it's wonderful.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
You're listening to the Jonesy and Demanda podcast now, by
the miracle of recording.
Speaker 5 (18:52):
Amanda, two great names.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
I'm not a scatters the chemistry between them, but how
much find your own business and shut your pay I
wish you were with your show. We have won the
world we have today unless you're Argentinian, but we're all Spain.
Speaker 9 (19:09):
I'm a big fan of Spain. I've always identified with
the spanions I.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
Like, I like suppressor. What a surprise.
Speaker 5 (19:17):
Look, I'm actually speaking work ethic, working nine till eleven
a m or PM doesn't matter.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
This is I walked past the pub this morning, just
walking the dog.
Speaker 5 (19:27):
But our local happened.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
The dog early in the morning. But that's where they've
been playing the games from like four or five am.
And and when the game was over, and it was
a really long one. As you know that the young
people that spilled out smiles on their faces. I think
Spain was such a popular yes, a popular team, and
every single game that Spain won along the way, I
thought of my mate mcgil my straight.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
Miguel is flying to be a part of this mate
business as well.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Well.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
He's flying to Perth today is part of a good
food wine show. If you get a chance to see him.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Please do.
Speaker 5 (19:59):
He's bringing fiesta, he sure is.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
But he recorded this for us before he got on
the plane.
Speaker 11 (20:04):
Hello Johnson and Amanda, my faerie radio show in the world.
Speaker 5 (20:07):
We are camp.
Speaker 11 (20:09):
I thought for one second in the ninety minute that
MESSI was going to take the title for second time consecutively.
But Spain finally he's got the second star in our
T shirt with the champions of the World again and
ship still didn't go to bed. Lots of Marguerite does
Los Angria Vespana.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
You can hear his voice. He's been shouting at the screen.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
Was the big celebrations in LA for your birthday? I
saw something with musicians?
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Was that for you?
Speaker 15 (21:08):
Yes?
Speaker 16 (21:09):
It was very kind of FIFA to put that together
for me. Yep, Spain have won the World Cup. They
defeated Argentina one nil. Who cares. That's not why I'm
here to talk to you. I respect this is the
world's game, but I am excited to talk to you
about the celebrities and the fanfare. It all kicked off
pregame with this elaborate closing ceremony, led by none other
(21:33):
than Tom Cruise. Of course, he gave an impassioned opening
statement on celebrating greatness.
Speaker 17 (21:39):
More then thirty days ago, forty eight nations began a journey.
They crossed oceans, they crossed borders, they crossed cultures and together.
Speaker 5 (21:56):
They showed us why this game belongs to the world. Okay,
thanks Tom, we had Tom.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Thanks Tom.
Speaker 16 (22:04):
That was followed up by Jennifer Hudson on Anthem, Judy's
who obviously killed it. Post Malone performed, Robbie Williams performed
a new song with Nicole Scherzinger. Was he caut Doll's Fame,
But it was really.
Speaker 9 (22:16):
The whole A lot of people are talking about Robbi
Williams with something that fell out of his schnoz that's
on that footage.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
There was unfortunately, well we'll say no more because it's
probably the titchits. Yeah, it could have been anything, could
have been anything.
Speaker 16 (22:30):
He doesn't have anything in this for decades. But there
was a halftime show.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
Yes, so normally there's not halftime is there? This is new,
isn't it This FIFA doesn't normally do.
Speaker 16 (22:40):
This the first ever World Cup final halftime show, and
I think speaks to the host nation or one of
the three host nations, the US of course, hopefully a
bit of a teaser of what we can expect from
the LA Olympics in twenty twenty eight. They put this
whole thing together. It was curated by Coldplays Chris Martin.
He called up his friends Justin b The Madonna, Shakira
(23:01):
and BTS and they all performed. We had several muppets
who were on stage as well, playing all sorts of instruments.
But it kicked off with Madonna, who arrived in a
June buggy alongside Brazilian soccer legends Ronaldo and Ronaldsino. She
opened with a funk DJ version of her two thousands
hit music. Of course she wasn't singing live, but here's
(23:23):
what it sounded like.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
Yeah, so that's not live.
Speaker 16 (23:35):
Oh, I don't think anyone's heard Madonna sing live since
the eighties.
Speaker 5 (23:39):
Elton John will be just throwing stuff at his TV.
Speaker 16 (23:43):
Well, she looked good and that's all that matters. But
then we did have some live vocals from Justin Bieber.
He was introduced by Ted Lasso. Jason Sedeikis messed up
the part and did a little bit.
Speaker 5 (23:54):
I listen to me go out there, don't be nervous,
dope's watch okay, make us proud.
Speaker 15 (24:00):
She had to write this song, We're just one doss Hallelujah,
hallu baby, just look at to Hallelujah.
Speaker 7 (24:15):
Wow, it's very super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
To be more.
Speaker 5 (24:19):
Tom Cruise in there. They crossed oceans, they crossed borders, Heira.
Speaker 16 (24:25):
Then we got a choir from a school that was
conducted by the director of the La Philharmonic. Then Chris
Martin came on. There was this eleven minute fanfare, pyrotechnics.
Speaker 15 (24:35):
You name it.
Speaker 16 (24:36):
It was all going on and watched by none on them,
Jay Z and Beyonce in the crowd, Matt Damon, John Ham,
Timothy Challomay, Kylie Jenner, David Beckham, Donald Trump, they were
all there. And to finish up, I wanted to tell
you that we should be thinking of Drake today, not
just the Argentinians, because Drake lost two and a half
million dollars after betting on Argentina.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
He started from the bottom and now is nowhere.
Speaker 16 (25:03):
That was.
Speaker 5 (25:06):
And thank you and happy birthday, Thank you my friends.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
Okay, your download is complete.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
Jones and Amanda cant shut up on the Jonesy and
Amanda podcast download the free iHeart app.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
I must say FFS. The Friday Field Sessions are fantastic
team success there.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
Well, it's a nice thing. We get someone in on
a Friday. It's a nice mood setter for the weekend.
Speaker 5 (25:30):
Yeah, yeah, jem I Rae came up with a intro.
How much did this cost us? Again?
Speaker 7 (25:34):
I think I built five grand view.
Speaker 1 (25:47):
All right?
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Finished feeling groovy. It's like one of those radio competitions
you have to guess who's singing each of those. So
last Friday we had Alex Lloyd Yeah and his song
Amazing is celebrating its twenty fifth anniversary. In the interview
we did with him, he spoke very openly about his
opioid addiction, addiction to.
Speaker 5 (26:11):
Painkillers that really was on the oxy not good.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
And how hard that was for him, how great he
felt when he was on it, but you can't live
like that, and he knew he had to, he couldn't
sustain it, And how much better he feels now that
he's got those demons behind him. But him having told
us that story made the singing of that song so
much more poignant, didn't you think?
Speaker 5 (26:30):
I think so?
Speaker 9 (26:31):
And I think we should eye because I opined last
week that it is twenty five years old, it's now
eligible almost.
Speaker 5 (26:37):
For cheap insurance.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Maybe shouldn't appined so much.
Speaker 5 (26:39):
Or at least midway through going on a Kentucky tour.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
But so many people spoke to me about that song
and how moved they were by his rendition.
Speaker 9 (26:46):
So due by popular demand, FFS comes on a Monday,
Alex Lloyd and amazing.
Speaker 14 (26:52):
All right, let's get a drink.
Speaker 5 (26:53):
Everybody, here we go.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Not all you wanna do is wrong? She thron a
bed a shuck normal when it's just swear fe do eye.
Speaker 14 (27:27):
Laid it feed in statue din We never fit that
shut though, just like hunted time the ball.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
But you don't leave.
Speaker 18 (27:52):
Me.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
We didn't make no will it change?
Speaker 12 (28:10):
Seems they.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
The bearing bitches in your mind. You're Eagan the snow
when it's on.
Speaker 18 (28:41):
The line, the plastic matter that's off me, the bard streets.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
Now you de fund to see the names that.
Speaker 14 (29:00):
Shot though, just like hundred times fall, you don't on
a league.
Speaker 12 (29:15):
She me, we didn't makezy day.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
The change said not.
Speaker 19 (29:32):
Not no, she.
Speaker 20 (29:36):
Mesy no the day long man Pushtuday.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
They want to in the.
Speaker 12 (30:08):
Days that seen manner they.
Speaker 21 (30:12):
Put behind us on there.
Speaker 1 (30:30):
We didn't make would change you par day? Who are made?
(30:59):
We We didn't me e.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
You are me.
Speaker 22 (31:27):
Gold matter dropping you on That was Friday feels, that's
Alex beautiful, so good, so good, Alex Lloyd, Thank you
so much for us for that.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
And you know what who I reckon we need for
our next Friday Fields. You brought it to the table
just a hour ago and it starts.
Speaker 3 (31:47):
Get the boat what miles.
Speaker 5 (31:50):
Miles of smiles.
Speaker 9 (31:52):
We'd be back at school, I wouldn't he love to
get him one out for his finish of school.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
Of course.
Speaker 5 (32:00):
I will work on that.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
Also, when we were talking to Alex Lloyd on Friday,
he name dropped something about one of his songs and
I think we can explore it further.
Speaker 5 (32:09):
We'll do that next nation.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
So when we spoke to Alex Lloyd on Friday, he
said he's not a name dropper or a blow his
own trumpeter, but he did share something that I thought
was fascinating.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
A name drop.
Speaker 19 (32:27):
But you know, like the Prince or now the King
and Queen of Denmark, they came to me at a
Red Cross event and said, oh, we fell in love
to Black the Son, and that's a breakup song right
to me.
Speaker 5 (32:38):
You know, if you're not familiar with the song, it's
not really a romantic song.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
It's not your classic romance. As he said, it was
a breakup song. I'm looking at the lyrics. So we're
talking about Fred and Mary here on the Silent Road,
dream of me. I wish you would black the sun,
Dream of me, I wish you would black the sun.
I wonder if because it talks about going down the road,
think of me. I wonder if it was when they
first met and fell in love. They wondered if they
could I'm just speculating make a goal of it because
(33:15):
they came from such different worlds. The expectation of him
to become king.
Speaker 5 (33:19):
She's a real estate agent for Tasmania.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
Could she make that leap to be the first Lady
of Denmark, which she has done so brilliantly.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:27):
So it ended up being a love song for them,
But as he said, he wrote it as a breakup song.
Not every love song is your classic love song. It
can't be Shania Twain.
Speaker 5 (33:35):
That's true.
Speaker 9 (33:36):
I used to do weddings, parties, anything as a DJ,
and the amount of people used to request you two's.
Speaker 5 (33:42):
I still haven't found what I'm looking for for a wedding. Yeah,
at a wedding and you think you do know?
Speaker 17 (33:47):
You do?
Speaker 3 (33:47):
You know what that song is saying?
Speaker 5 (33:49):
Also, do you remember I don't know how to love him.
Do you remember this song from JC Superstar.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
I love that song.
Speaker 9 (33:56):
Yeah, everyone loves that, but this one bride wanted that
and I said, well, you know, you do realize what
the song is about if you go into the lyric,
like there's one thing to play the hook of a song,
which is that bit, But when you get into the
nexus of the song, he's just mad song.
Speaker 22 (34:17):
Many man, they're slow dancing, there's.
Speaker 5 (34:23):
Grandma, that's the best man's speech.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
Just one, it's just one more. Oh that's lovely. I
wish them well, so why don't we do this? The
travel drum is going to beat for my unlikely love song?
Yeah right, not everyone's love song is the mushy Hallmark card?
Speaker 16 (34:47):
What was it?
Speaker 9 (34:49):
We had Alex Lloyd on the show for the Friday
Field session and it was It was a great story
that he told about Princess Mary and Prince Frederick, about how.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
They queen now Queen Mary and King.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
Yeah, off with his Danish head then and huge would
be a big Danish head. I should be my head
for having said a small colonial head. But he did same.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
Luckily, you're not writing the songs, he said.
Speaker 19 (35:13):
This, I'm in a name, but you know, like the
Prince or now the King and Queen of Denmark. They
came to me at a Red Cross event and said, oh,
we fell in love to Black the Sun, and that's
a breakup song.
Speaker 5 (35:26):
Yeah, and like the Sudden, it's not what you'd call romance.
Speaker 9 (35:31):
But I will say this, I've had experience hosting weddings
many years ago, and you know, I still haven't found
when I'm looking for you two or I don't know
how to love him, which sounds like a nice song
from Jesus.
Speaker 5 (35:44):
Christ Superstar, but then you get to this bit, Yeah,
he's just so the couple are dancing together and the
groom's going right.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
Or maybe the bride's going right. It could be either way.
Speaker 5 (36:02):
Many many people coughing nervously.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
So not all songs can be love songs. My unlikely
love song.
Speaker 5 (36:13):
Jill has joined us.
Speaker 3 (36:14):
Jill, what was the song?
Speaker 17 (36:17):
I can't beat that last?
Speaker 19 (36:19):
I'm talking many moons ago.
Speaker 5 (36:22):
Yeah, my husband got everybody just sing plus the pianist
and everybody there.
Speaker 17 (36:26):
It was called All the Girls I've Loved.
Speaker 5 (36:32):
And Willie and Willie Nelson.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
We were great Willie Nelson's fans back.
Speaker 5 (36:37):
In the day.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
I think he's dead now will he still alive?
Speaker 5 (36:42):
Be thrilled?
Speaker 3 (36:43):
What a great one girls, But it's also you want
to hear at your wedding, Jill, isn't it?
Speaker 5 (36:52):
Well, at the time, I was so in love. I
guess I didn't care. Fifty years down the track, I think,
tell me about these girls that you were loving? Thank you, Jill,
and he says that was before Thanks Jill. Mitch has
joined us, Hello Mitch, what.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
Was the song?
Speaker 10 (37:10):
Both of us come out of bad relationships and we
found a song called follow Move by Uncle Cracker.
Speaker 23 (37:17):
We loved it.
Speaker 10 (37:18):
We thought it was so good, and then one night
we sang it karaoke and actually got to the chorus.
And then the second Verson decided war. He say, isn't
the song we thought it was realized? The realizing song
about that being faithful?
Speaker 3 (37:34):
Oh I didn't know that either.
Speaker 5 (37:36):
I didn't fullow me. Everything is.
Speaker 1 (37:45):
Sounds good?
Speaker 3 (37:45):
Did you lovely?
Speaker 13 (37:48):
Can grundy funny.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
Still still your favorite love song? Even though it had
a bit of a sting in the tail?
Speaker 8 (37:59):
Well?
Speaker 10 (38:00):
The second verse is I'm not worried about the ring
you wear because as long as no one knows, nobody
can care.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
Jesus Christ Superstar is.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
See not all so songs.
Speaker 5 (38:15):
Thank you, Mitch, thank you, and thank you for all
your calls.
Speaker 2 (38:20):
You're listening to the Jonesy and Amanda podcast.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
Yeah something a request for them to do it again.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
Mentioned lay off the moonshine, man, it's so weak.
Speaker 5 (38:38):
TV's Night of Night is coming up the TV week
LOGI Awards, and guess who's going to be front and
center there?
Speaker 1 (38:44):
Who's that?
Speaker 17 (38:45):
You?
Speaker 5 (38:46):
My friend?
Speaker 4 (38:48):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (38:49):
You know, it's such a privilege to be nominated at
my age. No, I'm going to say, you know, I'm
allowed you ask me about it. I'm allowed to talk.
And look at the face you pulling? Would you rather
I didn't? Am I ruining your bit Brendan by being
human and talking through it.
Speaker 5 (39:04):
I think there's just too much human these days. Got
me just get back.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
Why don't you Why don't you just talk about me
then talking about your feeling about It's not my feelings, No,
but Brendan, I'm just it's an let me say, and
this is the truth of it. I've been working in
television since I was in my early twenties, and what
a thrill to be working on a show that is
nominated now in my sixties and such a show that
(39:28):
has touched so many people. This is the piano. The
piano itself is nominated at the meaning of the show,
not the instrument. Andrea Lamb is nominated for Best Talent.
I'm not nominated for Best Presenter. It's just such a thrill.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
It's such a thrill.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
I never take it for granted. And feeling's over. You
can talk.
Speaker 9 (39:44):
You have been nominated for Best Bert Newton Bloody TV Presenter.
Speaker 5 (39:49):
And it's not about how often you've been on TV.
It's about how well you do the job. And I
think what we have to look at here, how well
you do the job. And I have been going through
your back catalog, looking at your huge body of work.
And we've just been playing a little game, just you
and me and Ryan, just about the shows that you've
(40:09):
been on. And like last week you failed to remember
this TV show.
Speaker 24 (40:14):
Hi, I'm Amanda Keller. The three long months of torture
are nearly over.
Speaker 5 (40:20):
Do you remember that house from Hell?
Speaker 1 (40:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (40:25):
I feel like I'm living in it now.
Speaker 5 (40:27):
This is how versatile you are. Can you guess this show?
Speaker 24 (40:32):
We all had the sixteen ten, which was just as well.
Otherwise this video wouldn't make much sense.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
What do you think, Well, sixteen ten is a Nokia phone.
I did the information video of it was a VHS
that came when you bought the brick of a phone.
Speaker 5 (40:48):
That's true.
Speaker 24 (40:49):
So you see the job was a complete success thanks
to my full group plan and the Nokia sixteen ten.
Speaker 3 (40:56):
Better go, but before I do, if you've enjoyed this film,
then you really should read the book. It's based on
the Knokia sixteen ten users.
Speaker 22 (41:04):
Guy.
Speaker 5 (41:05):
That video went for seventeen men.
Speaker 3 (41:07):
It did, and there was no autoque I had to
go through dreams of information and there was no auto this.
Speaker 9 (41:14):
And you know, I was starting to Scott Cam about this.
You are you and he a king and Queen of
the peace to camera. I've seen Scott Cam.
Speaker 5 (41:21):
Just remember details and just spew them out front the camera.
Would you do?
Speaker 3 (41:28):
This conversation is like you.
Speaker 5 (41:31):
I've seen you, We've done stuff together and you are
at a savant. So get the music on.
Speaker 3 (41:38):
Ryan Brendan, thank you for the accolade.
Speaker 5 (41:42):
I'll be there with tears streaming down my face.
Speaker 1 (41:46):
What would be.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
Useful is if you could tell people how to vote.
Don't make me do that.
Speaker 5 (41:49):
To vote for a man to head to TV week
logis dot com dot au. Thank you very much, it's
going to happen for you, Frank you very much.
Speaker 9 (41:57):
I didn't know if this was local news or that's
an Australian but at the end of the day, five
dollars for chicken salt, that's un Australian.
Speaker 5 (42:06):
Surely on what on chick just chicken salt on anything
on chips.
Speaker 3 (42:12):
So if you go to order some chips, yep, who's
charging this?
Speaker 5 (42:15):
This is the Social House in Kirowe and Sydney.
Speaker 9 (42:19):
They're on their menu there. As you can see, I've
got a handout for you. You've got the chicken salt.
Five dollars for non members, three bucks for members. So
I would argue that a container of chicken salt would
not be over five bucks.
Speaker 5 (42:35):
Surely the whole container.
Speaker 3 (42:37):
I've never bought a contain of chicken salt of you.
Does it come like an AsSalt shaker?
Speaker 5 (42:41):
Yeah, it's like, but a bigger not a grinder. It's
in a shaker, right, yeah, table salt. I'm not one.
I'm not a big fan of chicken salt.
Speaker 9 (42:50):
Like chicken salt, it's as far as condiments go for me,
it's like barbecue sauce.
Speaker 5 (42:56):
You think that above its way barbecue sauce, they're not
for me.
Speaker 3 (42:59):
But do you do you think chicken salt should be free?
Speaker 5 (43:02):
Well, yes, salt largely when you go and get salt
on your chips, that's for free.
Speaker 3 (43:07):
What about where do you draw the I'm just playing
it Devil's advocate here. I'm right being salt into the wound.
I'm just being devil's advocate. Would you expect to pay
for tomato sauce?
Speaker 5 (43:18):
There was a time when we didn't pay for tomato sauce.
Speaker 3 (43:22):
What about vinegar?
Speaker 5 (43:24):
There was a time? Well, no, what pays for vinegar?
Speaker 1 (43:27):
Does anyone?
Speaker 3 (43:28):
So you don't pay for vinegar.
Speaker 5 (43:29):
I don't pay for vinegar.
Speaker 9 (43:30):
When you go to the fish and chip shop and
you're to go to salt and vinegar, No one charges
for the vinegar. But I blame the sauce people when
they took it away from the bottle and they put
it in the little individual sash at And then I
was saying, well, now packaging and you're ruining the environment.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
So is it weird that chicken salt gets paid for?
I don't know. I don't normally buy chips with chicken salt.
I love it when they arrive at a table, but
I haven't gone.
Speaker 5 (43:56):
To buy some sounds to me that you're fending big chickens.
Sounds to me.
Speaker 3 (44:03):
What you're talking about. That's how many chickens are killed
for the salt you think. Let's one's chemical five eight seven.
Speaker 25 (44:11):
Let's remind everyone on where we live, where.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
You're taking a bow or feeding a cow.
Speaker 3 (44:31):
Matter of fact, I got a oh my god, how
long is that going to go for? That's Australian.
Speaker 5 (44:36):
You're going to run off and join iceis just so
are on the same page?
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Is just the three dollars or the five dollars? Just
so we're clear? Have you finished?
Speaker 5 (44:47):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (44:47):
Okay, great?
Speaker 5 (44:48):
Thank you?
Speaker 3 (44:49):
Can we move on now?
Speaker 5 (44:50):
Great? We have big issues to fry.
Speaker 9 (44:53):
I was just talking about it's un Australian to charge
three to five bucks for chicken salt and the and
you and I were just talking.
Speaker 3 (45:01):
Well we thought maybe this is a discussion point.
Speaker 5 (45:04):
So I don't know what do you deal with the
chicken salt people?
Speaker 3 (45:06):
No, I'm just playing Devil's advocate. If I owned, for example,
a fish and chip emporium, maybe I don't want to
give it away for free some people. I've seen the
comments here. Someone is saying you can buy it at
a servo for a whole container for two dollars fifty.
But if you're running a chip emporium and you're charging
through all that chicken salt, it looks like tomato sauce.
(45:27):
At what point do you start charging.
Speaker 5 (45:29):
Let's go down to the jonesy demand of arms.
Speaker 23 (45:31):
The pub test top test does not past the pup test,
hub test to test test test, the pup test.
Speaker 1 (45:38):
Doesn't pass the sniff test. Stop it.
Speaker 5 (45:40):
It's not where we don't charge for chicken salt.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
Well, you have said here that there's a place in
the Shire in Sydney that does exactly that, at the
Social House in Kirawe.
Speaker 9 (45:50):
I just said to me, you've got chicken gravy at
the same price. There's more to chicken gravy than chicken salt.
Speaker 5 (45:57):
What's to um? To um?
Speaker 1 (46:00):
What's that? Ryan?
Speaker 3 (46:01):
What's that?
Speaker 5 (46:02):
What's t ou m? Because you've got tati, you got
spicy male.
Speaker 7 (46:08):
Like a garlic sauce, charge for all of them.
Speaker 3 (46:11):
So you think a sauce you charge for but not chickens.
Speaker 5 (46:14):
Got a tim tamsun that looks pretty good.
Speaker 3 (46:17):
Well, hopefully not on your chips.
Speaker 9 (46:18):
But look at that the price variant that is twelve
to fourteen dollars a member of non member compared.
Speaker 5 (46:23):
To the chickens. I'm just saying. My point of difference is,
what is this stuff?
Speaker 15 (46:27):
Gold?
Speaker 3 (46:27):
Will you pay for a sauce but not for salt?
Speaker 5 (46:31):
Yes, I will pay for sauce, but not for salt.
Speaker 3 (46:34):
You would pay for mustard but not salt.
Speaker 5 (46:38):
Mustard is free?
Speaker 3 (46:39):
Well, no, don't you pay when it comes in little packets.
Speaker 5 (46:43):
If you get a little individual master foods.
Speaker 9 (46:45):
Yeah, but if you're at a place you want to
place with a mustard with a dubious spoon in it,
a crack.
Speaker 5 (46:53):
At, I'm not paying. Well, you'll pay for it later,
but I'm not paying for that.
Speaker 17 (47:00):
All right?
Speaker 3 (47:00):
Paying for chicken salt? Does it pass the pub test?
Speaker 2 (47:03):
You can see a whole lot more of Jonesy and
Demand or on our socials. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook.

Speaker 9 (47:14):
It is ten questions sixty seconds on the clock. You
could pass. If you don't know an answer, We'll come
back to that question. If time permits you get all
the questions right. One thousand dollars.
Speaker 3 (47:22):
You can make it two thousand dollars by answering a
bonus question. But here's the trick. It's double or nothing.
Speaker 9 (47:27):
I was just saying to my learned colleague D of Ballarat.
That's Amanda sitting over there, because she was at a
perplexed face.
Speaker 8 (47:33):
I do.
Speaker 5 (47:34):
I was just saying, the more people win this on
a Monday than any other day.
Speaker 3 (47:37):
But then I know that. I hope that makes you
feel better, but it's not true. Amazing, you take them
good news where you get it.
Speaker 5 (47:45):
Let me tell you a story about Ballarat. I busted
my hump to get into three BA.
Speaker 3 (47:51):
You're still in with a chance?
Speaker 5 (47:52):
You still that? Do think I'll get into three BA?
Speaker 1 (47:54):
I tried and tried.
Speaker 14 (47:56):
Yeah, unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (47:58):
Why did you put in a word with management?
Speaker 20 (48:02):
Give it a go for you?
Speaker 3 (48:03):
Yeah, see what you can do. I'd be happy if
if a young kid, well, do we have tell? See
how you go on Jones's behalf. We've got ten questions,
We've got sixty seconds. If you're not sure, say passed.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
That is the key to this.
Speaker 3 (48:16):
You might buy yourself some time if we can come
back okay, all right, deep good luck, because here we
go he comes. Question number one? What's two times two?
Question two? Roma cherry and campari? Varieties of what tomatoes?
Question three? Social media platform X was previously named what pass?
(48:39):
Question four? S on a compass stands for?
Speaker 8 (48:42):

Speaker 3 (48:43):

an oyster? Question six?
Speaker 1 (48:53):
In which sport?
Speaker 3 (48:54):
Would you use? A fly and rod? Question seven? Who

Speaker 15 (49:06):

Speaker 3 (49:07):
Question eight? Which country is most famous for the Flamenco dance? Fine?
Question nine? What type of animal is a black mamber?
Speaker 11 (49:17):

Speaker 3 (49:17):

Speaker 25 (49:21):

Speaker 5 (49:22):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (49:22):
Back to question three, social media platform X was called what?
Oh yeah, I reckon? You knew some of these?
Speaker 5 (49:30):
Twitter was what how soon we forget?
Speaker 3 (49:34):
And you'll know this one? What piece of jewelry is
formed in an oyster?
Speaker 5 (49:39):
Yes?
Speaker 8 (49:39):
It is?
Speaker 5 (49:40):
And iris who sung that?
Speaker 10 (49:44):
I'm going to pay?
Speaker 3 (49:45):
No, there's a goo goo doll, so that's fair enough.
And a black mamba is a snake?
Speaker 19 (49:51):
Yeah no, I didn't know that.
Speaker 3 (49:53):
Well, d thank you for playing, and see if you
can put in a word for Jones.
Speaker 5 (49:58):
I will you for having me just got to shake
his co host. She's happy to be shaken once that happens.
Thank you, Jamnation. Let's get on down to the Jonesy
demand of arms for the pub test a hell of
a week test.
Speaker 23 (50:11):
Pup test does not past the pub test, Hub Test test,
the pup test test, the pub test doesn't pass the
sniff test.
Speaker 5 (50:18):
Stop it all.
Speaker 9 (50:20):
This started at the start of this hour as un
Australian charging money cash money for chicken salt.
Speaker 3 (50:26):
This happened at a place in the Shy here in Sydney,
being charged three dollars for chicken salt if you're a member,
if you're a non member, five dollars for the chicken sid.
Speaker 5 (50:34):
I don't understand. Chicken gravy is three and five dollars there.
Speaker 3 (50:39):
So you accept paying for gravy but not salt.
Speaker 5 (50:41):
Look, you know it's one of those things. You just
accept that you're paying for gravy.
Speaker 9 (50:44):
There was a time kids gather around while Uncle Jonesy
tells you the sauce was free, and then they started
putting in those little packets, and then it became you
had to pay for it because they'd argue, oh, we.
Speaker 5 (50:55):
Had to put it in the package. So that's what
you had to deal with.
Speaker 3 (50:59):
But chicken salt, well, I'm only playing devil's advocate. If
you run a chicken shop, maybe you think, well, yep,
fair enough. It's costing me. Why shouldn't I pass on
that cost?
Speaker 9 (51:07):
Yeah, because they're shredding up the chickens putting it into
the salt. I suppose they cost money.
Speaker 3 (51:12):
How many chickens going to the chicken sot you think
how many? I think the chickens are safe.
Speaker 5 (51:16):
I think it's number. I think it's an Australian. You
seem to be in with big No.
Speaker 3 (51:22):
No, I'm just playing devil's advocate. Maybe it's okay.
Speaker 1 (51:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (51:25):
Charging for chicken salt? Is it past the pub test?
Speaker 4 (51:29):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 13 (51:30):
That is outrageous.
Speaker 10 (51:31):
That is free.
Speaker 4 (51:32):
No, I would not.
Speaker 14 (51:33):
I expect salt to be free, so why not chicken salt?
Speaker 3 (51:36):
But it's not even real chicken.
Speaker 9 (51:38):
Well, it's not worth it for a stark.
Speaker 10 (51:39):
That's horrible stuff. But no, if you're getting it as
a condiment at the table.
Speaker 3 (51:46):
No, every salt will be free.
Speaker 10 (51:48):
Free of salt is what I reckon chicken. It makes
sure we outrage.
Speaker 4 (51:53):
There's someone charge the chicken salt. I have a food
ban over the weekend, and you know what, I wouldn't
even think about it charging for chicken salt. That's an
Australian it is, and.
Speaker 5 (52:06):
Just a reminder as to where we live.
Speaker 1 (52:09):
True.
Speaker 3 (52:15):
I think that is enough.
Speaker 5 (52:16):
That's an Australia.
Speaker 3 (52:19):
We are back tomorrow. If you'd like to hear more
of the show, head to Jonesindamanda dot com.
Speaker 1 (52:23):
