Well, let's give it up for an anniversary, not just
my son's birthday, but twenty years ago. An incredible moment
happened on live television on the BBC. It was two
thousand and six, funnily enough, and a man called Guy.
Guy Gomer had a job interview at the BBC. So
he works in data support, a data support cleanser, whatever

that means. And he was called into the reception at
the BBC because he was having a job interview. So
he's sitting there politely waiting to be taken inside the
inside the chasm of the BBC for his job interview.
A staff member comes and says, is your name Guy?
And he says yes, say come with me. What happens
next has been immortalized as one of the greatest live

TV blunders of all time because the staff member who
approached him wasn't from it. The staff member was a
producer for News twenty four. The person called Guy the
producer collected wasn't Guy Cooney, who'd been booked to be
interviewed on the program, but Guy Gomer, who went along
for the ride by mistake. So two men called Guy

yep were in the foyer. Wait one was going for
an IT interview. One was being interviewed live on television
as an expert. So he's ushered onto the set, he's
micd up and he's seated in front of the camera,
and then before he knows it, the reporter introduces him
and what they are discussing was Apple Corporation versus Apple Computer,

a court case. Dreadful, and he's a bit of help, went.
