Jamie Dunn passing away on the weekend. Did you know Jamie?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
It all not as well as you did. But I
knew him, not but not very well.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
I worked with him back in the nineties in Brisbane
on radio. Yeah, he hosted the breakfast show. But when
I find very successful, it was raiding through the roof.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
It was huge. Cay this when it because he hosted
with himself and Agro. Yeah, so would he just obviously
do the voice.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Well, sometimes he'd just do the you're just in the studio,
he just do the voice, and you just have his
hand and I'd say naked.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Agro, so he'd actually still move the hand.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yeah, he sort of put it there.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
And you know, did he put it there for himself
or for others?

Speaker 1 (00:39):
But then he'd always treated Agro with a lot of reverence.
Came a little bag and pulled him out, And you know,
I never I remember often wanting to have a go
Agro and did he say no, No, I never, I
don't think, you know, I didn't want to cross that line. No,
he hosted the radio show. But also you might remember
Agro's cartoon connection. It looks like it. It looks like

I think he liked me. I remember the day as
clear as anything. When I first met him. I'd been
there for about a week at the radio station to
BOO one O five, and I was just standing in
the kitchen making small talk with another chap who it
was his first week as well, so much to the
kitchen said, oh this is great work. Here Jamie walks
in and on the kitchen cupboard there's a box of

wheat pics, grabs the wheat pics, looks into him and
looks at both because somebody's been eating my wheat pics.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
And we you know, so this is Jamie not agro.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Gami in anger just sounds the same.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
But this was him off, James.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Somebody's been my wheatbis, wasn't you two Blakes And we said,
oh no, we just got here made anyway. He walks off,
so we continue our chat over our cups. Tea comes
back with a brand new box of wheat picks, and
while we're chatting, he says, right open, opens the lid
up and takes out one, digs right into the middle
of the box, takes out one wheat pick, and then

with his loose trackie Dacks puts it down the.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Back of his trackie into his bottom.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Well, I didn't, I wasn't having a forensic examination of
it close proxy. And then he puts it back meticulously
into the middle of the box. And then he looks
at us too, and he says, right, only three of
us know where the golden brick is. No, And then
we ponded over that because every week day they're getting

closer to the golden brick.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
And we have attempted play Russian Roulette with the golden brick. Yummy,
I've had some wheat picks today, as Brendan, I didn't
even pay for that.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
I didn't touch his cocoat Pobs rest in Peacemates.
