Speaker 1 (00:00):
There's been some controversy around a new children's toy. It's
designed for people with children who are four and over.
It's been I think Big w has taken it off
the shelves because it's been some controversy. I'll explain what
it looks like before we go to the ad and
what people are saying about it. It's it's called chester cheeks.
I think that's what it's called in the States. Here

(00:21):
it might be called butt face or bum face. And
it is a bum that's got headphones on its head.
And it's obviously buttocks with the split down the middle,
of course, and two eyes on it.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
I know how buttocks work.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
At the door. Hit you with a good Lord splitcher,
it's one of my favorite sayings. So there's two eyes
on it, and it jiggles up and down and does
all kinds of things and makes noises. Here is the
American ad for chester Cheeks.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
What's that?

Speaker 4 (00:51):
It's chester cheeks, the ultimate butt face prankstert squeeze and.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
He lets it rep.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
He's dropping feet, jiggling chicks. He's full of gas power,
pranks up his sleep. That little bar Chester always up
to cheeky tricks. Warnie because explosive laughter, an uncontrollable wiggle
dancing chester cheeks from bubast by Goliath.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
I have the idea of a grown up getting the
call to go and to do that voiceover so good.
I giggled all the way through that I'm terrible. Well,
someone has made this toy and it jiggles up and down,
makes flatulence noises, and it you know, bashing on the
head and it twerks all this time America. No, I
think it's been a well. A woman in Queensland spotted

(01:39):
the toy at her local big W and she said
it was thought it was inappropriate. She said that she
and her husband felt sick after noticing their children looking
at it. It's been reported that many social media users
agreed with her and said it was time for a recall.
Big W has stopped selling the controversial toy. This is
interesting because concerns were raised my child safety experts who

(02:02):
feel that we should not be teaching children that it's
fun to touch your body parts and for other people
to touch them and dispread your cheeks and all that
kind of stuff. Is it?

Speaker 2 (02:14):
How anatomical is it?

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Oh? I'll show you a picture I've scribbled on that one, right,
So I was doodling but I didn't know what was
going on, like a Mexican with a mustache. But that's
just me scribbling and doodling while the show was on.
Just basically, it's a bum and you can stretch it
and it'll make something down. Well, here's what the news

(02:37):
story in Australia has said.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
It's a bum with a face, and a lot of
parents reckon, well it stinks. I definitely would not buy
that for my child.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
I think that's the.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Wrong kind of definitely the wrong kind of toy for
a two year old or any child for that mun Like, no,
it might seem innocent enough, but once you find out
what it does, it could be perceived as far more sinister.
The packaging promotes the toy as something you can stretch, squeeze.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
And basically to work.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Right, Yeah, I'd say I'm not a wowser, but I'd
say no, no, you know it was when I was
a kid. There's a lot of toys that were banned.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
You were probably of the era where you could fire
an air rod. Could you buy it in someone's actual bump?

Speaker 2 (03:30):
But I remember Smash Up Derby, that got band, Remember
Bang crash, smash them up, smash Derby's fun like tons
of chokable parts. I see shoke old crazy.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
With that thing.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
And then there was slime.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
Why'd that get banned?

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Because I think it just got everywhere. So they added
worms to it, slime with worms, and then they put
on it not non toxic, so people thought I could
eat it. So all the kids were eat the slime.
But the worst one was six million dollar man, Bionic
Woman crazy. And it was a bath phone that looked

(04:03):
like a shaving foam, but it would fill your whole
bath with foam, but the active ingredient was flammable, so
the whole thing would be your cauldron. You put your
kids in the bath. Dad had come in with a smoke.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Dad had come in with the smoke. Those were the.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Days, They were the simple times.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
I was given a doll as an adult as a joke.
Was a pitter andre doll, and it was not recommended
for children under three because of small parts. He's not
going to recover from that.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
The funky Junkie, indeed, is what he was called.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
The funky junky.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
Did you know about chester cheeks?

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Maybe a colab.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
I'm embarrassed and I've giggled all that Chester Cheek sad.
I'm sorry.
