Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to the Jonesy and Demanda podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Traveling does it pass the pub test?

Speaker 3 (00:05):
We're kind of made to feel that that that the
minute you can, you should be traveling. And Australians are
famous travelers, but not everyone likes to travel. I've got
a friend who, as I said earlier, when she sold
her business, everyone said, oh, you'll be you know, trekking
the Camino, and she says, no, I'm going to go
to the South Coast for a.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Few yearsh I like going to the nice places of
the world. I'm not a third world kind of guy.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
But you don't, you know, you're you have to be
coerced into getting on a plane.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Yeah, that's what I mean. You like, I'll go to Hawaii.
That's all right, you know I like that place. That's great.
You go there because you know there's going to be
a duney. You know you can get some money.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Out stay at home.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Well, I'll go there, but you know that that's the
extent of my my worldwide traveler. Yeah, not just why,
but you know.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Jonathan Ross, who's a British broadcast was on a podcast
recently and said this, you.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Are telling people that you hate traveling, it's.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
So much fuss getting ready. It's so much of a
faff getting to the airport, getting in early, make sure
your bags packed some way, putting things in little bags,
and go through security, taking your shoes off, taking your
belt off, having a stranger fill you up, get on
the plane, get there. You've got to wait till you
get off. You're driving around in a plane to then
find somewhere to park, and you queue up to get
your bags. Sometimes your bags aren't there yet to then

(01:17):
don't queue up to get a car or a taxi
to get someone. That is probably a good at least
a whole day of your life gone doing irritating things.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
You're in it for the feeler, Okay, but it's interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Everyone who responded to that story was saying yep, well said,
that's how I feel too. How about you traveling? Does
it pass the pub test?

Speaker 5 (01:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:36):
Love to travel, love to see new places, try new foods,
experience things, especially if you take a look at from
a historical point of view parts of the world that
went through amazing events. And to be perfectly honest, my
wife and I a big Disney fan, so we have
done most of the Disney part you just can't get.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
That here in Australia. But it's certainly it's worth it
traveling to the UK at the end of this month
going business.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
No, I'm not a fan. I have traveled, but I'm
with Jonathan Ross on this. It's a lot of kerfuffle.
And I get a lot of people going, oh, you've
got to go to New York and you've got to
do this, You've got And I have no inclination to
go to America whatsoever.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
I would much rather.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Spend the money at home and see our beautiful country.
Oh boy, you get to meet always marvelous people, make
new friends, and see.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
The world, and I reckon, what about this guy?

Speaker 5 (02:31):
It certainly as worth it. I'm traveling to the UK
at the end of this month going business.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Quite the flex.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Thank you, kath remember that I'm Kathy.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
You for going business.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Thank you for all your calls.
