No, but seventy percent of workers confess that they've lied
on their resumes. There's a fine line between overselling yourself.
Is that just playing the game or does it creep
into lying? And does it matter if you can do
the job at the end of the day, but you're
competing against other people who have proper qualifications?

How do you feel lying on your resume or your CV?
Does it past the pub test?

Speaker 3 (00:47):
No, it doesn't pass the pub test. If you buy
your CV, you go free job and oh yeah great,
I've got the job. How much of a food do
you look? You turn up that job and you can't
do it, so egg on your face. So lying on
the CV it's a no go.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
I expend. I don't think you should lie what you
can do, but you should be able to embellish what
you actually can do and hopefully you improve yourself.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Absolutely not, no way. Well, if you lie on your
TV and you get into your job and you can't
do your job, then you're going to look like a fool.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
Everybody does it. You know. I wouldn't say lie, but
you know, pump yourself up a bit, just you know,
a little bit of confidence doesn't hurt everybody does it.
I don't think it's a problem.

No this it will come back to bite you later on.

It's true you said you had a degree in culture.

I do.
