When there's big issues to discuss.

Speaker 3 (00:04):
Have you had a few?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
There's big I know it's been a hell of a week.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
It's Monday.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
When there's big issues to discuss.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
We pull up a stool at the Jonesy de Man
of Arms for the pub test.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Top test does not past the pub test, hub test tests,
up test, sub test, the pub.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Test doesn't pass the sniff test.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Stop it.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Today's duelworthy issue.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Well, we're talking about Mother's Day. And I saw a
couple of women on TikTok saying, and particularly they are
American women, saying, my Mother's Day present is a day
without the kids. Day in a hotel room, I order
a room service, I get a massage, I watch television,
have an afternoon sleep, I watch a movie. It's mine
or mine. And I just got a text from a
friend saying, my perfect Mother's Day. Don't talk to me,

(00:48):
don't touch me, don't ask me for anything, and I
can't drive you anywhere. Bring on a mini bar, club sandwiches,
king sized bed, no burnt toast crumbs, no lame Mother's
Day stall presence, no washing or washing up. That's a
mother's Day treat, but there was some backlash for this person.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Treat for anyone for anybody, mother or not, but there
was some backlash of this on socials where people are
saying this Mother's Days also for your kids.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
They want to make gifts for you and give you
the presents. But this is why I think Mother's Day
is different to Father's Day. Mothers still have to in
a way common deer of the day. They might be
taken to lunch, but they may have to visit their
own mothers. They may you know, they're still on duty
in a way. So how do you feel about this?
This is how we've phrased it. Mothers spending the day

(01:32):
on their own by choice for Mother's Day. Does it
passed the pub test?

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (01:36):
I think it past the podest because the kids can sometimes.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Be really tough and they do deserve to stay on
their own.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
I think the moms should have a day off, do
what they want to do and meet the kids with
the dads and her dad's goldn't look after the children.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
No, Mama loves to spend time with me.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
If you think it's a supershai day for blokes, I
love the idea.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Of having a time on my own, but I.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Think maybe that could be.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
The present that they give you that you do it
on another day and you still have your family time, but.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Then you still get your time on your own as well.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Absolutely, it passes the purtiest because I heard a really
great saying over the weekend that Mother's Day should be
about the mum and not anybody that came in or
came out of the mother.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Brilliant.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
I think that's the words.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
To live by.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
That's enough.
