Speaker 1 (00:00):
The pub test.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Top test does not past the pub test, hub test,
test test test.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
The pub test doesn't pass the sniff test to stop it,
it's not today black tie does it pass the pub test.
This all steps from an opinion piece by a lady
called Chloe Sergent.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
Well, this is about when Wayne Carey posted Mitch Brown
Hall of Fame outfit.

Speaker 5 (00:20):
Seriously he was wearing.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
So, Mitch Brown is wearing a really fabulously stylish outfit.
It's it's like a Harry Styles kind of outfit. It's
sleeveless mesh with a silk scarf around the meton.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
It looks like he's coming out of the maybe the
wasteland in Mad Max two.

Speaker 5 (00:36):
I wouldn't have thought so.

Speaker 4 (00:37):
I think he looks like he's come off the red
carpet in Milan. I think he looks fantastic.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
I have no beef for the outfit, but a lot of.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
People have said a lot of the old farts have
said this is outrageous.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
That's why I've said that, so locked in that category.

Speaker 4 (00:51):
Tim Watson has reportedly questioned whether Brown should have been
allowed into the room.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
You know that's a bit Well, I've been to a
lot of events in my life. The he's the acres
and I've always just wort a black suit man. Maybe
I'm just boring that way. The aria is one you know,
I did wear a leather jacket because that was okay.

Speaker 5 (01:09):
Did people think you're under dressed?

Speaker 3 (01:11):
No, because it's the Arias. But then but this is fu.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
When you have a No one's saying that this is
Surgeon of the year, you have to dresses.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
But then again, what does that stop so surgeon of
the year.

Speaker 5 (01:22):
It should be allowed to dress as a clown.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Say someone surgery, Maybe someone comes in dressed. Is that?
And this is what Chloe points out, like Mitch's put
a lot of thought into this outfit.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
It's not like it's disrespect like.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Darryl Braithway a Melbourne cup when he walks on with
his shirt from the garden. This is he's put a
bit of thought into the outfit. And she goes on
to say, it's twenty twenty six. Men do not have
to spend the rest of eternity dress like middle managers
attending a corporate awards.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Some people I know would say it's sad to see
the end of black time formal attire.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
Others are saying who cares? Turn up look great? Who cares?
So black time? Does it pass the pub test?

Speaker 6 (02:02):
I reckon that it's about time things moved along. A
whole other world is coming along, and I think as
long as you're looking smart, I think that's heap. That's good.
It doesn't hut.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Well, we're starting to lack class in society.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
And I think a tuxedo or a man's suit, I
don't think anything it looks better than a man in.

Speaker 7 (02:22):
A tux or a suit.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
A black tie affair is an opportunity for anyone to
show their style.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I think it's a fantastic idea.

Speaker 7 (02:30):
It doesn't matter if you're young or old. If you're
out there, you're not on the catwalk, you're just you're
at an event and you're addressing to the nine, so
to speak.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
I think they really have to evaluate what exactly black
tie means, because a lot of people these days they
go for for more, but not black tie.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
I think black tie for women as in men, can
take different forms of style, but I hardly think two
middle aged men who have off field discretions of their
own should be throwing shade at somebody else.

Speaker 7 (03:04):
You can bury those brighty things. The most useless piece
of male wear I have ever heard. I hate ties period, black, white, pink,
I don't care what color it is.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
No ties for you, No ties for that man, that
man there.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
No well, you know, maybe that's our pub test tomorrow
