Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to the Jonesy and Demanda podcast banning phones
and concerts. Does it passed the pub test? Bruce Dickinson
from Iron Maiden has said this, in.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
So many ways, I wish the camera on those things
had never been invented. It's like some terrible disease. Basically,
you're surrendering your sensors completely to this little fascist in
your hand.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
That's not what I call it.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Well, how do you feel when you watch other people
film the concerts?

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Does it block your view?

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Do you mind it?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Yeah? I find I do it discreetly.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
There's a lot of times, like you know, I went
and saw Coaches or when they were doing their big
fifty tour and you know the bit on Saturday Night this,
you know the song with Saturday Night and there's a
bit and you know Saturday Night and I'm doing the
whole thing there and I've your dad, If you don't
like it, what do you means?

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Down there? For twenty minutes?

Speaker 1 (00:47):
And that that got a bit of a laugh from
the crowd, So you know, that was a cool collab.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
I find that.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
But you know, I look at Iron Maiden, They're coming
to town and you want to be when you're rocking
out to the TI I'm of the ancient Mariner or
perhaps a number of the beest.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
You want to be like fully engrossed in the show.
So that's our pub test today.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Bruce wants a banned What do you think banning calls
banning phones rather at the concert?

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Does it pass the pub test?

Speaker 5 (01:19):
I don't think they should be banned at all, because
I bought the particular phone I got so I could
actually film at concert, and I used to shoot it
off to the Jovi fan club worldwide, so we all
used to go to shows together.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
You have to take pigtures. You've had to, even though
you can go into social media. I see what the
rest of the people have done. You still regret it
when you.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Haven't taken the pictures, even moments you had to take them.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Yes, I definitely think we should be in the phone.
I want to see the concert. I don't want to
see people's phones in front of my face because they
hold it above their heads so they can see it.
But that's in my way. Then I think let everybody
did their own thing, just have a bit of fun,
you know, while people are just trying to take a
little bit of mad you come with them when they
capture that little video and it.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Might just stick five minutes.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
And looking to watch the whole concert through the Lenster,
it's great to look back on and going, my god,
listen to those vocals. I was there, What a magic moment.
That's what people want to do. Let them, well, that's
why I take my Imax camera.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
You have a whole you say, you have a whole
of Spade.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
By the way, the Iron Maiden people have said us
a beautifully bound Iron Maiden book for both of us, and.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
I've been beautifully bound for years. I was thinking that,
you know, maybe that's six months at yours. Six months
you're going to have.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
That's
