Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's get on down to the J and A arms flour.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
The pub test top test does not pass the pub test, hub.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Testet past the pup test test.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
The test doesn't pass the sniff test, and stop it.

Speaker 4 (00:11):
It's not helpful. There's a big race to extend our lives.
The controversial longevity scientist David Sinclair believes he's found the
fountain of youth. It may only be for ten years,
twenty years more. But the idea is that why the
arrogance of Well, if we can have good health, why
don't we hang around much, much, much, much land?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
The man who cannot die.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
I am immortal, all of us.

Speaker 5 (00:34):
It can be only one.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
What's your favorite highland?

Speaker 4 (00:37):
Tell me when you finish, what's.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Your favorite highland? Alie?

Speaker 4 (00:40):
Hello? What about morning? Ramiary's was in a feat snob.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
I took his head and actually that could be dark?

Speaker 4 (00:46):
Well can I continue?

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Okay, see, I can't listen to this forever, you love,
I want to listen to this, for that is the point.
Most of us, if we had a choice, would say
I want good health and then when I'm eighty or ninety,
go to sleep, and that'll be it. If you're guarantee
kicking and screaming like the kids and Dad's cart exactly.
That's the hard thing is that do you want to

(01:10):
be here forever? Even if you could, would you want to?
I don't think I like the idea of it.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
No.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
I think it's hugely egotistical to think you deserve longer
than one regular life.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
You could still die, you could still die in a
horrible accident.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
For those options, I appreciate.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Well, that's that would be the thing, But I.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Think the human condition, our lives are based on the
knowledge that at a certain time it winds down. How
would it be if you didn't have that. I wouldn't
like it at all. So let's put it this way.
Forget oil of you land living forever in good health.
Does it pass the pub test?

Speaker 3 (01:45):
No, it does not, because last exhausting enough as it is,
and I also hate change, can't stand it, So it
definitely doesn't pass the test for me.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
I reckon, Yes, it does pass the pub test, but
under one condition only if my partner, my wife, was
given the same thing, if she can live for the
same amount of time with me, if she died before me,
I wouldn't want to listen to the extra time.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Nothing worse than outliving your kids or your grandkids.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Fancy having to bury everybody else, and you keep going.
I think it's disgusting.

Speaker 5 (02:14):
Yes it does. I know someone who I've known for
over forty years. We never got together, and now we
finally got together. And I'm in.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
My mid sixties. Not a chance. I want to exit
in good health and when it comes time, get the
hell off this planet. You've only got to look at
gen Z and the unrealistic life they live today, and
I'm like, I do not want to be surrounded by
them for eternity. No, thank you, get me out of here.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
I was touched by the story of the worst I mean,
my sixties, and I've just found him. I want it forever.
What about the guy that wants to live with his
wife forever? I saw him pull a face.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Friday.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
Yet that's I want you to go home now, Brendan.
I made all of that up.
