I've had a weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
So I left well, I mean I left here on
Friday happy as it's like tickety boo. I was not
a sign of trouble on the horizon. Left here on
Friday morning off, I went to do my little you know,
jobs that I'll do on a Friday afternoon to take
the pressure off on the weekend. And then early afternoon
it struck a tickle, just a little oh no, it

(00:31):
was more than a tick. Came on really really quick.
I was really really worried there for a while. It
was it was.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
It was really panic stations. But then I came back
to it sounds that you were trying to log onto
an old internet. Nah, hook myself after the machine.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
No, it just it came on so quickly, and I
went downhill so so fast, and I thought things aren't
good for Monday. And then I rang, I rang our boss.
I rang our boss on on on Saturday, and I said,
as soon as he saw your number, I said, I said,

(01:12):
did you break out nicold sweat as soon as you
saw my name come up on the phone. Because it's
the only time I ever called you when I go
there's a problem. He said, yes. I said, look, I
just put you on. Just put you on. Notice that
you know I do have the well some say it's
the man flu, but I braved it. I braved it.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
The man can kill you. That's flatlining. That's what happened.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Kill a man.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
It'll bring him down, well, a normal man, but not me.
Not me.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Saturday night I thought, oh, hang on, I might be
getting over this already. And then Sunday morning I thought, yeah, yeah, no,
this is good, just thistle. I got this.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
I got this.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
And then I rang him back in the afternoon. I said,
put your plan B back in my box, Sunshine.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
I'm back and I'm ready to go. Might be a
bit scratchy, but I'm ready to go.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Was it one of the children that brought something home?

Speaker 1 (02:11):
How did you guess? So this is why I don't
get sick.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
I don't live with children. Yes, my son had a
touch of the boy flew during during the week It
starts we train them up young. So yeah, he had
a bit of the boy flew during the weekend. And
I think, you know, I just hadn't had enough sleep,
and it just sneaks in under underneath, through your guard.

(02:38):
But I'm strong enough that I bounce back.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
It sounds very sexy, it's very dematab.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
We thank you very well. I'll make the most of
it while it last. Could be gone by tomorrow. I
hope it is. I hope so too.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
You're weekend good? Yeah, that's good. Other than that, all good,

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
