Speaker 1 (00:00):
And it's our first Monday morning of having to get
up early for a couple of Monday mornings. You had
a nice, nice couple of weeks off.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I did have a nice couple of weeks off.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Now, by my own admission, I can be lazy, especially
you know when you work these hours.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
We all can.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
When you get when you get up at this time,
and then you have a couple of weeks off, it's
not beyond me to just hardly leave the house and
binge watch sixteen different you know TV seasons of something.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
But I had a very productive week.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
If anyone needs a trade, I am now available for
hire for my new side.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Hustle police ons.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Now just about I painted my house inside.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Look at me like that, like a nice lilac or something, just.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
The same color. It was sort of an off white thing.
When I moved in there. There was this ridiculous shelving
sort of system thing that was attached to the wall
in the lounge, taking up way too much space.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
So I took that off, and of course there was
huge these huge bolt holes. Was just there for no, no.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
There was no actually wasn't a mark, but there were
these huge bolt holes that I've been meaning to get
around to to you know, filling in with the just
a bit of filler and then painted. And of course
what's been putting me off is you can't just paint
one wall, can you.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Once you've got to, you've got to do the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
And I also had a little bit of you know,
water sort of damage in the toilet and the bathroom,
and the toilet was on the other side of that
seat that was there as well, And.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
So got the spack filler out.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
At the sander, I've got the paint Bunnings. There's a
new one on Alexander Drive, best Bunnings ever. It's my
new best friend. I was in there just about every
day and painted. And then of course the front door.
It was a hideous sort of wood, just wood.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
And it didn't go.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
I wanted it to be the same color as the walls,
so off I went to get door paint.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
So I sanded the door.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
I didn't take it off off the hinges, because if
I'd taken it off the hinges, there's no way I
would have got it back on again. But I did
manage to sand it in place and then paint that
and it's come up a treat three coats.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
So if I had have swung by your house on
the holidays, yeah, would I have actually seen Lisa in overalls?

Speaker 3 (02:21):
You know there was no overalls, but you would have
had to step around the drop sheets.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Wow, just an old shirt and hair of jeans.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Yeah, Jael was sore though, my shoulders, in my back
and everything.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
So go to work out as well.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
I got to work out as well, and it all
came up really good. I was really I'm very happy
with it.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
And how long did it? How long did it take?
All of this that was was basically the whole holiday.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
It was about. It was a solid nine days? Wow? Yeah,
well do you know you got to have me drying
time and whatnot?

Speaker 3 (02:52):
And of course I had to time doing the bathroom
with when I could get away with not showering for forty.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Eight did you so?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Did you let me try?

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Did you receive any emails from Netflix and Apple saying hello,
just checking in? Are you okay?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Are you okay? No?

Speaker 1 (03:11):
I did not, No surprise, I'm surprised you didn't either.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Anyway, I have showered out.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Wonder The Netflix price share price dropped over the last weekend.
Lisa's renovating no one's watching. We did a lot more
than me. Basically, I was Dad's taxi service.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
You are usually filled with that taxi service.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
That was my holiday.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Oh no, that was really yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:41):
And no alarms, no alarm, So that was the good part.
But I did manage to tick one big thing off
my list. I I got back on the bike. Baby
talk up cycling again.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Oh really, yellow bike or an e bike?

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Yeah, I'm one of those e scooter terrorists. No, no,
just back on the bike. It was sitting up there,
hanging up in the garage, a little rustier than it
used to be, a bit of CRC here and there,
pumped up the tires and away I went. Wow, and
I loved it.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Okay, and my bum hurt for days, but I pushed
through it.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Do you wear they kept going, No, No, I just
wear regular, just regular clothes. Nothing too heavy, nothing too heavy.
So that was good. So I might be able to
shed that extra four kilos that I'm carrying around at
the moment. That's my game. Okay, that's my goal.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
All right. We'll keep us posted, all right.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
So anyway, so my my holiday was not quite as
productive as yours, but I'm off to a good start. Yeah,
I'm off to a good start.

Kingdom of Fraud

Kingdom of Fraud

It’s the unlikeliest of criminal partnerships: a devout polygamist from an insular Utah sect joining forces with a shadowy Armenian tycoon from LA. The result - a billion dollar fraud conspiracy. In Kingdom of Fraud, investigative reporter Michele McPhee traces the origins of the extraordinary alliance between Jacob Kingston and Levon Termendzhyan. Together, the two men trigger the largest tax investigation in American history and weave around themselves a web of dirty cops, influential political relationships and transnational money laundering. All this is set against the backdrop of Jacob Kingston’s clan – The Order. A powerful and secretive polygamist organization in Salt Lake City. To whom Jacob is desperate to prove his worth.
