The conversation, anyway, steered towards his kids. We did talk
footy for a minute.

But then imagine someone having to meet JT because they're
going to be dating your daughter's I mean, are you
going to be one of those cranky dads, JT? Or
are you going to be like really cool?

And well, if you ask my daughters, they'll say I'm
the cranky dad.

But I think I'm the cool dad.

Have you had a boyfriend at the house yet?

Speaker 3 (00:33):
No?

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Definitely not, definitely. He's not chuckling all the time. His
laugh would stop. Real How old these girls?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Okay, so I think it's Frankie's nineteen. I'm just trying
to work it out. Charlie is eleven, Lily is not,
and Remy is seven.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Okay, well yeah, they all are too, getting there, getting there.
How old are you supposed to be? When do girls
start dating and stuff? When do you have to start
worrying about that?

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Okay, no, no, let's that is a great question. Thirteen one
oh six five for all the parents of teenage girls?
When is it the appropriate.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Time for them to be able to go on a date.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
But we do have three girl dads in the studio,
so let's just reverse this, okay, right, Oh yeah that's
what I thought.

How old Sienna can start dating? I mean, realistically, I
reckon sixteen?

Okay, and Drew our boss who has two girls?

Time after my funeral, shortly after.

They're old enough. Okay, I'm not going to get so

Yeah uh and yeah one of them's got a boyfriend
at the moment, and I'm just like that uncle where
I embarrassed the hell out of them and the boy
or the daughter well both, yeah, yeah, I go in there.

How old are you?

Mate?

What do you do. I'm not a bit awful. You
play foot, let's go, we'll teach, have a little wrestle.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Come on. I'm embarrassed the hell out of the girls
and both like, I'm just that person.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Because you do really you, I mean, as much as
you might have to say when they leave the house
and date, like, they are going to pick the people
they want to date, and you're not going to have
a say in that. I mean, you can say whether
you like them or not. I am curious though, thirteen
one oh sixty five. If you have daughters, you know,
tell us that moment where the dating stuff started to

How did you deal with it?

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Because all three of you, your voice is changed and
you got scared.

If your daughter hated you for it, absolutely hated you
for it, it's like embarrassing me. I don't want to
be a part of this.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
What's going to be different? Well she hates like, fair enough,
you're already embarrassing. That's exactly we're just talking about. J
T JT. Jonathan Thurst has got is it four daughters?

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah, and none of them are dating yet and he
is not looking forward to it.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
He say, no, they're way too young. No one's no
one's come around of the house yet.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Okay, Paul added to him, but you're a truckie.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
What do you think.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
My truck the monment? But I was a police officer.
But my daughter went out with a blake and has
not driving along. He said, look, there's a police to
bet and not knowing who I was? Whatever was my
dad in a police officer and had a heart attack?

Speaker 1 (04:44):
That is a good like as far as dad's go.
How long did that last?

Speaker 3 (04:55):
North Lakes mum of girls and boys tell me about
the day.

Speaker 6 (05:02):
It's not so bad when they're at school and you
can But once I start dating people with cars, it
becomes a nightmare.

Speaker 3 (05:09):
Oh yeah, yeah, nightmare.

Speaker 6 (05:11):
You can't control how the other person drives, what happens
in that back.

Soon I'll be teaching that boy to drive.

How old were you doing, is Nadine when that happened?

Speaker 6 (05:23):
Okay? So around that fifteen years old, sixteen later, maybe
one or two years older and yep, yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
And once they're fifteen sixteen, then yeah, then you've got
a seventeen year old boyfriend with a car. Oh no.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
And did you have a different take on it with
your son?

Speaker 6 (05:43):
No? And he's the youngest. So I have three older
girls and then he's the youngest. I wasn't allowed to Yep,
yep he was. But he also had the advantage having
three older sisters. He knew how to treat a girl.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Yeah, it helps, and how to deal with all the

He doesn't think anything's great, that's cotely normal.

My fifteen month old? Think she has an entitlement to

He is kissing over good mates for kind, that's awesome.
