Speaker 1 (00:00):
Robin kit and in the morning it was Ray, where's
my husband? It's Robin Kip and Coreo. It's on Kiss
ninety seven to three. Of course Ray is talking about
her future husband, the one she hasn't met yet. She's
not being tea and Oat's going where is my husband?
He said he was going out to empty the bins.
I haven't seen him four hours because you got busy.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Yeah, a lot distracted.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Yeah, it's funny that, like I walk outside and then
I'll be in my boxes. Sometimes I just dont get
that weed, and I'll come back two hours later sweating
your boxing. Yeah, and I've got this a bag for
the weeds.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
What happened?

Speaker 4 (00:36):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
That's not the only gripe that that tea can have.
When we asked for things that you could work on.

Speaker 5 (00:45):
Well, there's only a few things that annoy me about you.
I can't stand that you bite in ails and the
sound it makes with your teeth.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
And that was the first one. Then she expanded the
few things tuned into many.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Your face when because you didn't you hadn't heard these right,
So they were sent to Drew, our boss, and then
when we played them on air, you heard them for
the first time, and your face when that came up,
you were not happy because clearly this is something that
bothers you.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
It does, and she finds it disgusting. So do I
biting your nails? How long have you been doing your
whole whole life?

Speaker 5 (01:19):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Yeah? People always say it's a nervous thing, and I'm like, no, well,
I get bored.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
This is it.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
There's two there's two theories. One is it's link to stress,
anxiety or boredom. Boredom you just get bored. Yeah, so
you need something to do.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Yeah, And like even those days where if I've done
eight hours outside, I start sitting inside. After a half
an hour, I'm getting bored, right, and then I can't
go back out there because I'll die if I go
out there again and just continue, Like don't you.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Get a widget? Why don't you get something you can
play with in your hands, something to fiddle with.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
I need something, Yeah, it's yeah, it's It's been something
my whole life that I've wanted to change and stop, like,
and I try and do it mentally, like, and I've
gone nearly a week and a half two and now
I just have that one thing that really bothered me
on my nails and then I'll bite it and then
I'll just.

Speaker 5 (02:15):
Go for an hour.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
So do you bite around it or do you actually
bite the nail?

Speaker 3 (02:20):
No, it's kind of like there's dead skin. It's it's disgusting.
I hate it, like I hate it so much.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
But I reckon if you had things in your pocket
that you had to play with them, like you know,
like the Oldellian non is, they'd have their rosary beads
and they're sitting there, you know. I mean, I'm sure
that wasn't about nail biting. That was a connection to Jesus,
you know, like something that yes, that allows you to
use your hand.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
It's almost it's the way I'm the way I'm wide,
Like I need to be focused and concentrated on something,
you know, otherwise I do get bought easily.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
But what about if you've been gardening all day and you've.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Got to that's a disgusting part clean them, and that's
somee thing. I will go and clean the hell out of.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
My so that you can. You've got a fresh ship
that you've got a fresh bit of a chew on
because you've washed it thoroughly and.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
You've got little infections and stuff around them, like the face.
If the nail is starting to get a bit red
and sore.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, they always do that because I go too far.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Okay, what do you do?

Speaker 1 (03:20):
You want to know how to love?

Speaker 3 (03:22):
To stop it? I would love.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
We've got suggestions coming through. Okay, Alana out of currabee.

Speaker 6 (03:29):
Well he could.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
Sort of benefits.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
I'm that he doesn't like doing picking up a particular
book and read.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Like Robin's book, not just instead of by your nails
about flamingos an't born pink mat.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
I would do it together.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I would read and by When you look at the
pink parts of your cuticles that are getting affected, maybe
you just pick up the pig book. I'll try Robin,
Kip and Court.

Speaker 6 (04:03):
In the morning.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Turns out Corey bites his nails has since the child.
Teagan hates it. It is disgusting. I find it disgusting.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
What do you do?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I don't buy my nails. I trim them with clippers
like adult.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Well here's the thing's get off your back of your feet.
I reckon you do something like that.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
You know there are two things about now biting. One
that's going to make you feel better, and one that's
going to make you feel worse.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
Worst.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
First, the worst is that it's often genetic and children
only pick it up if they see their parents do it.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
The kids get up when they see it. Yeah, I
get up them, and I'm like, well you get up
there when he does it?

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Still the time, ye see, they're learning. They get up
me all the time though they even though yeah, they
we're saying those things, but it's still getting into their
brains that it's normal.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yeah, don't do it.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
I know that's not normal. I do what I say,
not what I do.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Okay, anyway, that's a good thing. The good thing is
that it is associated with ADHD. It's actually part of
the way your brain works.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
You do something weird?

Speaker 4 (05:03):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Well we can work there.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
You do? Do you now? What are your ideas? Thirty
one A sixty five? How could he break this habit?
Debbie out of deception? Bait?

Speaker 5 (05:14):
I don't I reckon if you can just get onto
the old fashion, stop and grow. You know, you bite
your nails stuff to taste vile and you don't want
to touch him again.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
Seriously, So what do you do?

Speaker 1 (05:24):
You put polish?

Speaker 2 (05:24):
It's a type of polish awful.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
That's disgusting.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
So well, I swear to God, I fighting my nails
in high school. My thirteen year old granddaughter who is
now sixteen, does not buy her nails anymore. It is
the devil spawn.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
But you're going to put it on.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
Every day, that's not just once every week.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Once a week you put it on and then'll shut
it down and about it.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
I reckon i'd go every three days for him.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
A yeah, yeah, is it clear he'll be chilling it off?
Well that's a good idea.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
No, no, no, no, it's clear. I think you can't
tell you've got it on, Carol, have been Lee? What's
your suggestion?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
I have as grandchildren who thinks is core not a
swear jar? Tudra catch or tea can catch it and
put a dollar in the two jar. But also I
have fidgets flying everywhere in my house because when the
kids go in their little engines. Yeah, they'll pick up

(06:23):
a fidget instead of destroying something all themselves. Ah, chili
on your thing.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Nails, chili at all?

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Yeah, you have really recessed a lot. Yeah, Kylie at
a heritage park. What are your thoughts?

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Hi?

Speaker 6 (06:38):
I got to agree with the lady before. I'm not
a mother of the year, that's for sure. So this
is a tip not to do. My child, who's now thirty,
still bites his nails, and at the age of ten,
I'd had enough because he was biting them so bad.
I said, that's it. I'm putting your fingers in chili.
We tried to stop and go, it didn't work. So

(06:59):
put all these fingers inside a little long chili and
I said, right now, taste it. And I thought, as
a kid, he'd just stick his tongue out and just
have a little lick. No, he put his whole finger
in his mouth, and which proceeded then to cry and
scream because then he grubbed these eyes in the shower

(07:19):
for an hour. Yeah, I was not the mother of
the year.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
It is kind of funny, good advice.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
We want to send you to the Friends Experience, which
is in Brisbane right now. We're going to double pass
for for you to enjoy that. Kylie, well done.

Speaker 6 (07:35):
Thanks guys.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
What the eyes.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
It would have been worse if you'd gone to the toilet.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Imagine if you did a scratch, You ever done that,
you ever chopped up chili and then I've done.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
I've done heat.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
You know. The heat rub got it on, got on
on the young, on the rag downstairs.

Speaker 5 (08:01):
It got me.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
I played a good game in footo.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
I'll tell you.

Speaker 3 (08:06):
