We are back in twenty twenty six. We didn't think
this was going to be happening. Our last show in
November twenty eighth last year we signed off, we said farewell,
and yet here we are.

complete stunt. I can assure you that is not the case.
And to prove it, we are in a cherry picker
above Abbotsford Road at Bowen Hills. The cherry picker is
now just coming up and going over our billboard. The

We are literally we're literally going up to full height
as we speak because we went down to pick up
our CEO. This is our national CEO of the entire
company of ARN also known as KISSFM.

Yeah, so what the reason I thought we'd bring you

It absolutely was not a joke. There's no stunts about this. Obviously.
We made a decision at the end of last year
and quite clearly it wasn't the right decision. Every person
that I spoke to when I started in my new
role said we love Robin, Kip and Corey and when
they're coming back. And I said, to the guys in Sydney,
can we change our decision? They said, no one's ever
done that before, no one has ever Well, it sounded

like the perfect thing to do, so we got on
the phone. We spoke to you guys. The response was amazing,
and of course, here we are January nineteen. We've got
the biggest show in Breakfast in Brisbane and at the
same time, you know, Craig has his show at at
night starting at nine o'clock to night nationally on the
Kiss network.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
And what a better start to year. You can't get one.
This is amazing. It sounds like you Yeah, and.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
We're very grateful, but in that process because for us,
from the sign off to the call was almost two weeks.
And at what point did you realize that this was
a really dumb ass decisions?

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Thanks? When did you dumbs?

Speaker 5 (02:24):
What I've what I've realized is that is just radio
generally has this incredible connection to communities and cities. And
I just got the feedback was overwhelming. Every single person
I spoke to who said, we love this breakfast team
and we want them back. And and you know, I
think to the team's credit to dB and the entire
Kiss team. They listened, they heard, and they made a decision,
and I think that's that's a great thing.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
It's it's awesome for Brisbane.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
I mean, you can see all of the guys driving
past here this morning and people beeping their horns and
the callers coming in the show.

Speaker 3 (02:50):

Well, I was literally I was in Caloundra at a
at a water park. I was minding the two kids
when the phone phone rang, and I was just like,
I actually can't do this right now. I've got I
had other things on it, and I was like, are
you are you taking the piss? Like?

Speaker 3 (03:16):
What's happening? I was.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
I was stunned for like a good hour trying to
work out what the heck was going on.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
But you were also imperative, Kip in making sure that
Corey got contacted.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
What happened there?

Speaker 2 (03:28):
Well, Corey is notoriously bad at answering his phone.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
When you just get sacked.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yes, so I called him. After speaking to DV called Corey.
I said, hey, listen, your phone's about to ring. Answer it.
That's all I've got to say for an hour. Talk
to you later. Call me back when it's done, but
answer the freaking phone.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
And what happened? Corey?

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Yeah? And I'm like, all right, that's a a bit random.
And anyway, dB rings and says, well, thanks for answering,
and I was just like you taking the mickey and.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
He's a nana.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
We we reversed our decision and yeah, and I said,
well if the other two and I'm in, so.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
See, I wasn't probably I was few I'm so angry.
I mean, we're talking about dB.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
His name is Jerk Bagwana. He is actually our kind
of bigger boss below Steve O, and I tore strips
off him.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
I mean, was that the right Was that the right
thing to do? I don't know.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
I wouldn't have liked to have been in dB shoes.
We had quite a few cups of coffee and quite
a few conversations.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
I'm just glad that you all answered the phone. I'm
glad that you. I can't say I wasn't nervous there
for a little bit. Did you say you call Robinson?
I'm not doing it. That was brave of you, it
wasn't it.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Well, it was actually brave of you that you guys
had made a mistake and to bring us back.

We're very thankful we're to be here.
