Speaker 1 (00:05):
Either Robin Kidd and choreotes podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
It's Robin Kiv and Chrio. It's on demand. The podcast
coming up. At halftime, there's some some new clips of
the Kevin Hart roast. Do you know Cat Williams the
so he wears the hat kind of looks a little
bit like the dresses like the Joker. Yes, he's very funny,

(00:34):
very raw, very dry, and he went where I'm pretty
sure Kevin didn't want him to go.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Really, I've seen something about this.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
I've got some audio for that.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
At halftime, Robin, Kip and coriots in the moning our
next guests, well where they actually came on the podcast
that Corey and I do with Sammy Thiday called The Ship.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
But they got involved with this of you.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Which is always fun because you get angry really quickly.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Well, I took a long time. In my defense, I
reckon I was about nearly half an hour into this
podcast before I cracked it because every question that I
asked them, they pretended they that I didn't exist. They
did not answer my questions, they wouldn't look, they didn't
shake my hand and walked in.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
I got to clear this up. The reason why we
did this it's because it was late.

Speaker 5 (01:25):
I was paying playback.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
So and the cutboys are these like great, they're not comedians,
brothers who are nuts for sports and they're funny.

Speaker 6 (01:35):
They're massive sports fans and that's that's kind of all
they All they wanted to do was, yeah, they go
to the games and just highlight and chauve and how
great it is.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
And and they ended support the sport ended up being
from Broncos fans to heading over to the Winter Olympics.

Speaker 5 (01:51):
Which is the last time we spoke to them.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
So this is when they were on the shed where
finally I've.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
I've had enough.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I've had enough of them not answering me, are you
actually making money on it? Like, are you able to
go beyond just just paying your way there?

Speaker 5 (02:09):
Are you taking the we got lucky with us? Was
that hard to do? Lucky?

Speaker 7 (02:28):
Oh, good morning guys?

Speaker 8 (02:30):
Is it kid?

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Welcome Lucky.

Speaker 7 (02:36):
I genuinely felt so bad because it is the nicest bloke,
and I kept looking at Bailey and I'm like, I
don't want Corey and then to get angry to turn
on us for not going through with the giant.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
It turned out excellent.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
It was so funny because I just started quickly at
the start.

Speaker 6 (02:55):
I remember you asked the question and I forgot me
and Sam actually forgot that this was to join on.
And Bailey was sitting right next to me and he's
staring at me and he's like for about five seconds,
I'm like, oh, yeah, that's right, and then you repeat
it that and I repeat the exact same question that
Kip just asked, and then they would answer me.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
But those those gaps made it even more.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Anyway, the reason why I wanted to get Locky on
is you came up on my feed, Locky, and I
thought that it was something that Brisbane needed to hear
from your mouth because the Broncos haven't had the greatest start.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Very slow.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Yeah, and Lockie, you've done the research with last year,
and I need you to just make sure everyone understands
that we're actually right on track.

Speaker 7 (03:45):
Yeah. Well that's the thing. Recently, all the Broncos fans
we lost the Manly on the weekend and everyone's losing
their minds and freaking out. They're saying, get rid of
all the players. Madge is useless, same old story when
the Broncos lose couple of games. But if we look
at after round ten last year, the Broncos were five

(04:05):
and five. Currently right now we're after round ten, we're
five and five, so that's the same. And then last
year when we vers Manly down at Brookvale, we lost
by twenty eight points. And then this week just gone
down at Brookvale, we lost to Manly by I look,
twenty eight points, and what happened?

Speaker 3 (04:23):
We won.

Speaker 7 (04:24):
We won the comp last year. So I'm just saying
the writing the scripts there. Yeah, we lost it. We
actually lost a magic ground last year. So if we
lose this weekend, it's just it's all part of the plan.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
I love that the faith is still there. I belief
should still be there and we'll be all right.

Speaker 7 (04:44):
Yeah, yeah, that's exactly right. You know, we need these
couple of losses if we're going to go back to back.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
So hang, I'm just working with your usual here. We
do we should we try and lose again to make
things repeat? Is that what you're thinking?

Speaker 7 (05:00):
Look, I think I'm just preparing if we do. Ideally
I want us to win because then we don't got
to worry. But if we do lose, that's what I'm
going to be telling myself.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Well that is good, all right, man, you boys are
all weekend.

Speaker 6 (05:16):
Yeah, imagine all weekend.

Speaker 7 (05:19):
So tonight I'll be at Women's Origin tonight. Bailey is
actually going to be at the Lion's Geelong Grand Final rematch.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
They're both on.

Speaker 7 (05:27):
At the same time. We're splitting up for that so
that we can cover both. And then tomorrow we've got
a fifty k charity walk for Embrace for Mental Health
that we'll be out walking all day. I've never walked
fifty k me life, so we'll see how we go.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Yeah, just a bit over a marriage people, Fine, we
think I can.

Speaker 7 (05:52):
I can technically say I've done an ultra if I
finish it, so yeah, I don't have to say the page.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
That's going to take you all all day. You'll be
going from dark to dark probably.

Speaker 8 (06:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (06:05):
We start at six am and we're meant to get
into sun Corp at about six p m. For the
first game.

Speaker 5 (06:11):
Well, that'll that will motivate you.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
If you're lagging behind, you'll start to jog because you
won't want to miss kickoff.

Speaker 7 (06:18):
No, exactly right, and I'm just hoping the weather clears
up for.

Speaker 9 (06:22):
We really need some waterproof runners, mate, and it'll serve you, right,
I hope you get blisters.

Speaker 7 (06:38):
If I thought we cleared it all, I never let
go off.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
Like an elephant.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Thanks May, good luck.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Tomorrow, jeez, guys, Robin.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Ki and in the morning, all right Dialandre. So this
is where we give Corey a challenge to make a
phone call to an unsuspecting business with generally a ridict's request.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
And this one's an absolute doozy, because how about a
shopping trolleys.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
Yeah, it's shocking.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
You never know if.

Speaker 5 (07:06):
You've got a dodgy wheel you're going to go row.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
You can't tell from looking at them you've got. And
it's only when you get to the end of the
first doll you realize you've got a bad one.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Put things in it and that makes it worse.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
So your character Gary is calling this. I Ga, you've
been there before, and you've had the perfect trolley experience,
and you put a sticker on it, a smiley faced
sticker so that you'd know which one it was, and
you're calling to reserve the trolley.

Speaker 6 (07:32):
I think we're going to get our second hand up
the second hang up.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
It depends on how how kind and enthusiastic Gary.

Speaker 10 (07:42):
Yes, I don't think we'll just start with a bit
of small talk about the weather and stuff, and then
see if you can find out if your trolley, your
favorite trolley is available to reserve.

Speaker 5 (07:51):
And you know, talk up. I g a great business.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
They have amazing it's different to everywhere else.

Speaker 5 (07:58):
You're right, Okay, let's is going.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
To be a.

Speaker 11 (08:03):
Hello igh, Hello, it's Gary.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Who have I got Caitlin?

Speaker 3 (08:08):
How's how's the day gone? There is it? Is it
busy at I j A?

Speaker 11 (08:12):
It's not too busy?

Speaker 6 (08:14):
Well, I just wanted to say that a few weeks
ago when I was at I j A, I noticed
something while I was there and I couldn't believe it,
to be honest, like in a really good way. I
think I found the perfect trolley, like not like broken
or anything.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
No, no, it's not.

Speaker 6 (08:32):
It wasn't broken, The wheel wasn't squeaking, it wasn't no wobbling.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
It was perfect.

Speaker 6 (08:37):
It was straight down, the aisle wasn't vering left ver
and right now. The thing was I've gone there today
and I couldn't find it.

Speaker 12 (08:47):
Now.

Speaker 6 (08:48):
I put a sticker on this thing and everything to
try and find it again, and I couldn't find it.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
Do you know where it could be?

Speaker 11 (08:54):
No? I'm not sure because I think we have a
certain number of trolleys that we have. I think and
during the closing shift they come and collect them, okay,
like the like in the parking lot and everything. So
I'm not sure what's happened.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Is any way you reckon?

Speaker 6 (09:11):
I could find that thing like I'll put my names
or put a sign on it, like Gary's trolley.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Only you know, I can I buy it? How much?

Speaker 8 (09:17):
Out?

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Did it much?

Speaker 8 (09:18):
That?

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Can I buy it? Can I buy it?

Speaker 11 (09:20):
Hang on one second, I just have to check.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
She's going to see if if it's possible that you've
got a mental problem, she might need a boss.

Speaker 11 (09:31):
I'm sorry, my boss was just coming.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
That's all right, thank thank you? Yeah, hello, hello, who
have I got?

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Sorry?

Speaker 6 (09:39):
I'm I was just ringing up about a trolley that
I found that was all Yes, it was perfect.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
It was no squeaking, straight as an arrow.

Speaker 6 (09:47):
I was just wondering if there was a way I
could buy it or reserve it every time you book it?

Speaker 8 (09:54):
This one.

Speaker 3 (09:55):
You don't sell trolleys, no, do you do? Valet trolley service?

Speaker 8 (10:00):
Yeah, trolley service. You can just call them or just
find like online. But if you don't sell these trolleys.
This is a property of it GA.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Do you know where the good trolleys are? You know?

Speaker 6 (10:11):
Is there a good trolley section? And then in the
squeaky wheel section?

Speaker 8 (10:16):
I'm not sure, sir.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Can I come and test drive a few? Test push
a few?

Speaker 11 (10:20):
Sorry, I'm not sure.

Speaker 8 (10:22):
Like for the trolley test r.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
Okay, I'm sorry?

Speaker 2 (10:26):
Would you do it? If get you the trolley, could
you test drive a couple before we get there?

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Just hello, it's Robin Kip and Corey are It's from
Kiss ninety seven three. You've just been speaking to Corey
and he doesn't think so dal and.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
So you are so good. You are so polite as
your staff. What is your name?

Speaker 8 (10:54):
My name is Artie.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
You are great.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Honestly, did you think he was insane?

Speaker 13 (11:02):
No?

Speaker 8 (11:03):
No, no, I was just saying, like, you know, maybe
he's just free and he just want to talk to someone.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
That's actually pretty close to the truth.

Speaker 10 (11:13):
It just like to chat.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
When Caitlin came to get you, who did she say was.

Speaker 12 (11:19):
On the phone.

Speaker 8 (11:20):
There is one customer and he's asking for the trolley
if he can buy and he was laughing.

Speaker 5 (11:29):
You know what's lovely about that?

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Even though you thought that this poor lonely guy on
the other end of the phone needed someone to talk
to you.

Speaker 8 (11:37):
Stay, we have some customer here. I sometimes personally do
some regular customer lively at home because they're very old.
I know they want someone to talk at me.

Speaker 5 (11:50):
Oh so do you own the business?

Speaker 3 (11:55):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Okay, okay, so let's give your business a massive plug
because you are lovely and shopping at your I G
A would be a great experience. Where are you, gerly
I G agentally Okay, that's behind the.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
Pool, isn't it, Yes, behind THEO so drop in for
good trolley?

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Is it a chat?

Speaker 3 (12:16):
And great service?

Speaker 13 (12:17):
Much?

Speaker 10 (12:19):
Since you're so kind of people without friends, we would
like to give you the friends experience.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
It's on in the city at the moment. Did you
ever watch the TV show Friends?

Speaker 8 (12:28):
Not really?

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Well, I'm sure you could give it to one of
the staff as a treat because it's all yours, ARTI
and thank you so much for playing along.

Speaker 5 (12:37):
Thank you okay, Robin Kidd and couriotes in the morning. Okay, So,
I'm very excited about this.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
As a former gold defense goalkeeper in many netball games
I found out I've just found out that Monty has
started netball. So can you just get in your head
how you can tell me absolutely everything about her budding
netball career, because we can do that a little bit later.

(13:05):
But the smart thing you've done here is put her
into a sport that only goes for a season.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Yeah, and the games aren't that long, aren't they? Like
forty minute? That's good in it.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Yeah, So this is this is a conversation for parents
and it is a safe space.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
Yes, this will be good. And certainly you know Siena,
my little girls not even too yet, so I've got
time to sort of guide her to the right sport
that Raffi hasn't really started proper sports yet. So what
is the worst sport as a parent? What is the
worst sport to have you into? Thirteen one six five rowing?

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Rowing?

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Why bad?

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Have you not realized?

Speaker 2 (13:51):
So early four am every day?

Speaker 7 (13:55):
Oh year?

Speaker 2 (13:56):
And it's a terrible spectator sport rowing as well, isn't it?
Like you stand by the river and going is that them?
What's the city cap?

Speaker 11 (14:03):
Like?

Speaker 3 (14:03):
What are you looking for? Stroke? R?

Speaker 13 (14:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (14:07):
What's impact?

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Australia must be great at it because we've done the Olympics.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
Yeah, so I'm not dissing.

Speaker 5 (14:14):
As a parent, make the decision.

Speaker 6 (14:17):
Yeah, that'd be a lot of time, like a lot
of travel. I reckon, there's a lot of traveling that one.

Speaker 5 (14:21):
And how many professional rowers make a lot of money.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
True, it's hard. Even if you get Olympic gold, you're
only a chance.

Speaker 5 (14:29):
What did that awesome force them?

Speaker 11 (14:30):
Do?

Speaker 5 (14:30):
They did some fruit ad?

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Yeah, Golden Valley. I remember my my cousin Andrew telling me,
he goes, mate, I got my my girls into he
goes Irish dancing. He goes it's the least sexy your dancing.
You don't have to worry about anything.

Speaker 5 (14:49):
It was in his madness to protect his girls from if.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
They go to a nightclub. They've got nothing sexy, just
arms to the side and kicking.

Speaker 6 (14:58):
Here's what I reckon, I can use a bit of
surprise about which Now I'm not saying this because I
don't like it. But golf, now, my thing is, it
is so expensive. It's a lot, a lot, like there's
a lot of training every day, it's so long. But
I'm saying I love golf, and I'm not saying I

(15:19):
wouldn't wanne it, but it's so expensive. It's one of
the most expensive sports to get your kids into, but
then the chances of them actually doing well become outro
I've got some friends that play professional around, you know,
getting around, and it's almost like you you have to
make or win about a couple hundred grand at least
a year just to pay for your travel cover cost

(15:42):
like that that has to be up there.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
We have kicked you off, have given you the sports
that we've got in our mind, but you guys have.

Speaker 5 (15:49):
Personal experience, so please thirteen one oh six five.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
What's the worst sport to get your kids into?

Speaker 4 (15:56):
Robin Kipp and Courier in the morning, Too.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Sweet, Hosier, It's Robin kivin Coreo. It's on Kiss ninety
seven three seven fifty eight. We're talking about the worst sports.

Speaker 5 (16:06):
From a kid parents perspective.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yeah, we're not saying the sport's bad, but as a parent,
as a parent, some of these sports are awful.

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Well, tennis be out there, you reckon.

Speaker 5 (16:14):
Oh yeah, well make money.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
It could be expensive, but I mean at least you
can just sort of drop your kids off, you know,
they're in a caged area.

Speaker 3 (16:22):
Well, I broke a lot of rackets. I felt sorry
for my ye.

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Well, for some people. It's bad.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
On our text line four o nine nine seven three
nine seven three morning guys. I love this sport and
wouldn't change it now. But baseball is long and expensive.
You get there an hour before the game for warm
up and then watch the game for an hour and
a half. Bat's are upwards of five hundred dollars. Gloves
are up there when you need a glove for different positions,

(16:51):
so you need different gloves. Just when you think the
season is over, they have softball and that requires a
different batch and a different glob.

Speaker 5 (17:00):
And just as much travel.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
They might not even hit the ball, they might just
miss it.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
It's just America's cricket, isn't it.

Speaker 5 (17:08):
Carol attavan Lee, what's the spot?

Speaker 14 (17:11):
Cheerleading?

Speaker 6 (17:12):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (17:13):
What's wrong?

Speaker 14 (17:15):
Parent? Because I'm a grandparent? Parents, they bring you in
on this. We know people to travel from New South
Wales to Brisbane just for training. We used I used
to drive from the Gold Coast to Brisbane, pick the
grand kids up, drive back to the Gold Coast, drop
them an inspire, then when they're finished at ten o'clock
at night, driving back to Brisbane, come back to the

(17:36):
Gold Coast. They train from as soon as they finished
school till seven, eight, nine, ten o'clock at night.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
And then where's the and where's the future gains?

Speaker 14 (17:46):
Like where do you go it's going to make money?
They can go like one of mine's in level five,
really young. They can't get money back. You don't get
money back. You've got canny, you've got eye, you've got.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
I never want you never want to do a sport
where you have to take your kids to get a fake.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
And also just thinking about it, there's no adult I
mean apart from it unless you do like a n
R L or like there's so few John.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
And they don't make great money the Broncos.

Speaker 5 (18:22):
I'm with you, Carol, John thorn Lens.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
What's your sport mate?

Speaker 15 (18:29):
You guys call it soccer. I call it forty well
more more so getting my daughter into academy football. I'm
telling you your four grand later every season three and
three and a half to four ground depends on the
on the club, but you're obviously representing. Add to that

(18:53):
you can three three times a week. I have to
drag her sister along, my year old to spend two
hours waiting for her while she trained, So it's half
an hour there two hours, well for there half an
hour back travel and that's three days a week and
then your weekends are completely written off depending on whether
it's a Saty or a Sunday oh bo. So for

(19:15):
me love the game to watch it, John is never
going to be good enough.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Honestly, John, can I tell you enough of my son's
career careers as schoolboy football players? Twenty two sessions a
week I did between the three of them.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
I know exactly what you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
That is just insane. Yes, you're like a sport sport's great,
but his parents actually merely a producer. Now you've got
a sport A word of warning. What was the sport
that you got into?

Speaker 12 (19:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 13 (19:53):
So I grew up doing aerobic gymnastics, which is a
mix between dance, chileading and gymnastics. And it was expensive, man,
I honestly poor appearance because I think I don't even
know how much they paid a year, but with a
robot and lege, you had to pay about i'd say
like two three hundred dollars for just the music of

(20:14):
your routine, and the routines are about like a minute long.
On top of that, we also had to pay up
to a grand for outfits a year. So we have
one or two outfits per year, and so they're about
like eight hundred to a grand. And then on top
of that you also have to pay for the choreography
and the makeup and the fake hands like yes.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
Yeah, look how look where it's got?

Speaker 5 (20:37):
Yeah, and radio at least I'm a vibe when I
go out.

Speaker 2 (20:42):
You know, you rock the dance.

Speaker 8 (20:45):
I really do.

Speaker 5 (20:46):
I own that stage.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
That's what we got to get to news cash or crash.
It's a thousand bucks on the line when we play
next in the morning. Halfway through the podcast, So yes,
this is from the Kevin Hart Roast which is on
Netflix right now. Normally Kevin's the host, but today he's
getting roasted and Kat Williams, very funny comedian, did not

(21:11):
hold back and it's it's uncomfortable and awesome.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
To Diddy parties does not.

Speaker 16 (21:20):
They tried to cancel Kevin for the Diddy Parties. They
hurled allegations at him. Thanks to all the baby bill,
the chargers didn't stick. Kevin was at a bunch of
Diddy parties, but in his defense, it was only because

(21:41):
Diddy thought he was ten. Kevin even hosted a record
release party for p Diddy.

Speaker 17 (21:52):
There was a record number of releases on the bed,
in the pool, on the floor, everywhere but the host.
But I want to be clear, just because Kevin went
to Diddy parties does not me he did something wrong.

Speaker 16 (22:10):
The fact that he gets all quiet when you bring
it up, that means he did something wrong.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
He's laughing, but it's uncomfortable.

Speaker 3 (22:28):
He actually he's gotten a bit of trouble for that. Yeah,
you could, like there's been a bit of chat about it.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
But but you can't do like Kevin Hart roast without mentioning.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Did I mean it was a ton of the party
he had to have been.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
He would have known he was going to do that.
There's no other man that could do it.

Speaker 6 (22:47):
But there's another man that could do it though in
that way, like that was a comedian that you'd wanted
to do it, because it's only way you're going to
get away with it.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Like, yeah, of course, because he's almost like a character.
Toure Cat William was like not a person.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
He is so funny.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
His voice is funny.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
He makes me laugh when he says, how I'm done,
I'm gone for the rest of the show.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
Robin Kids and coreotes in the morning.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
So she turned seven recently, right, yes, yes, okay, you
really need to know that.

Speaker 5 (23:22):
We've now confused him.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
You didn't even like it was It wasn't even a
big fan fair like you just said, Oh yeah, Monty
had a first netball game.

Speaker 5 (23:31):
I love netball. It was a gold defense goal keeper
for years.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Okay, I should have been a centrals fast enough, but
I didn't think I was too tall.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
I thought you were. I thought you'd be too short
to be in there. That don't don't want the little
people running around in the middle.

Speaker 5 (23:50):
Yeah, but I was tall when I was a kid,
and I just stopped.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
Okay, tall and not good.

Speaker 5 (23:57):
My sense of you know, but I really aggressive with
my hand up.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Yeah, you just get right in your face.

Speaker 5 (24:06):
No not then this is as fake as it comes. Anyway, It's.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
So many mind blowing moments before today.

Speaker 6 (24:17):
Wow, yeah, okaya, back off the Montana. Yes, she's seven
and her first game and netball was on the weekend.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
Are they positions at that age? Yeah, just random?

Speaker 6 (24:28):
But they all mix around every quarter quarters they do. Yeah,
every quarter they'll change. It's not thirds, is it, No,
it's quarters.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
That's hockey.

Speaker 6 (24:37):
I don't know I was talking to a guy part
of Super Cheap Anyway, different story.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
Look, this is the thing he thinks about when he thinks.

Speaker 16 (24:44):
Now.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
The other thing that you would have had your mind
blown about is there are specific areas.

Speaker 5 (24:49):
Is it Downy Park? There's one out across the Graceville.

Speaker 18 (24:55):
It is insanity when the game is on, looks extracting
the rock and just been being able to park, you know,
maybe a street over and thinking, oh yeah, I'm knocking
up and I'm like, what is there a concert on
where we are?

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Like there would have been at least two to three
thousand people.

Speaker 6 (25:15):
They were drove around for twenty minutes to find a
park and not knowing that I had to drive around
the other side to go get a park about two
kwa just to walk back to watch Montana.

Speaker 3 (25:27):
But then I reckon, there's thirty fields, thirty courts. It
was insane.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Yeah, the person who has the coffee cart for an
early game does real well.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
And then you know, once you do that, you get
to then watch the game.

Speaker 6 (25:41):
And look, I must say, she actually surprised me because
we've been doing a little bit of practice at home,
me and Monty, like you know, on the basketball hoop.
But I've been trying to get a shoot sideway station,
not using the backboard.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Oh yeah, and look yeah, look.

Speaker 6 (25:55):
She surprised me with actually one of the shots she'd done.
And I've got a little bit of a some recording from.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
Her last night. Did you just see if she was
still pumped up about it?

Speaker 17 (26:06):
We did first nettle gain don't don't you did a goal,
a big goal.

Speaker 14 (26:16):
Everyone. I was the only one.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
He's going far.

Speaker 6 (26:23):
You love it Saturday, she's so excited.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
Soon you mentioned the netball.

Speaker 6 (26:33):
Yeah, I'm training this week and then the games again
on Sunday or any Saturday.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
And but like her goal, I think we're all stunned because.

Speaker 6 (26:41):
She caught the ball back to two to three meters
away like something I have to pass it next minute
she was.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
In the circle though, she just hookes her up straight
in right.

Speaker 15 (26:54):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Network's a great sport and it's so huge in Australia
and we're starting like with the firebirds and stuff to
get the recognition.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
But it's so good for kids.

Speaker 6 (27:04):
I honestly did enjoy it though, Like I really enjoyed
sitting there watching and it's actually entertaining the whole time.
Watching the kids. It's still it's not one of those kids.
Supports were like, oh, this is like we talked.

Speaker 5 (27:16):
About earlier, and I hear that on the podcast.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
It was really good and she loves it. So that's
all I want, Just the kids have fun.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Teg's got like, what's the genes? Obviously you gave us
some athletic jeans. What's teas passing down miles?

Speaker 6 (27:32):
She keeps saying that she was great netple and I'm
well off you go, come mate outside teacher, and she goes, hey,
you've got that.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
What position was she taking?

Speaker 13 (27:40):
Yeah, I have no idea.

Speaker 5 (27:42):
There's not that many to choose from.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Actually she did say center, and I went ball.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Why you don't think she's the run around in the
middle person. She's not the half defender defender supporting.

Speaker 5 (27:58):
I mean she's good.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
She gives you a position and you call her a lot.

Speaker 8 (28:03):
Great.

Speaker 5 (28:03):
It's to be marrieds Roby.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
And in the morning. Now we are going into hiding
again very soon.

Speaker 5 (28:12):
Yeah, sooner than your thing.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
And there's twenty thousand dollars that somebody will definitely win
around Brisbane just by finding his first person to knock
on the door of wherever we're hiding wins twenty thousand bucks.
You need to register for it though, So go to
kiss ninety seven to three dot com dot au to
do that. And we thought we should talk to to
the last winners, the people that won the twenty thousand dollars.
Michael and Greg so teamed up together.

Speaker 5 (28:35):
Mates.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
Yeah, so Michael was the one that actually knocked on
the door, but you could say Greg was kind of
the mastermind who got things started.

Speaker 5 (28:42):
And they were late adapters.

Speaker 6 (28:44):
So I never realized it was that cryptic, like how
hard was actually going to be that clues? So, yeah,
decide for the clues because I'm going to I'm planning
on just giving things away.

Speaker 5 (28:54):
And this is why you are kept out of the
meeting exactly.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
But I don't want you to know anything. But we
talked to the boys, specifically Greg, about how they got started.

Speaker 19 (29:04):
I was listening on the I think you guys got
taken on the Monday morning kidnapped, and then I was like, oh,
this sounds pretty cool, and I was ad libbing, and
then I started looking at the clues. The billboards went
up and I was listening and then I'd undernard and
I couldn't quite put it together. And then on the
Tuesday night I rang him after work and I said,
what do you make of this? And he was telling
me no, no, no, don't do this, and then he
got hooked. And then actually the breakthrough wasn't between the

(29:27):
two of us. There was that one clue that was masculine.
I think I remember the word masculine was out there,
and that was the game breaker for the two of
us because we couldn't quite put it together. I thought
it was Ken Moore because Ken Moore like more masculine name.
That's how I put it together, the Western suburbs and
the masculine anyway. And then his partner husband Steven, was

(29:47):
the one that broke it for us and said masculine
was manly.

Speaker 5 (29:51):
Then just started the clear until then Greg was going
to get arrested by knocking on a hair.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
We have had such a great chat with these guys.
So are you going to hear a lot more of
the tricks and the other little things. And also they
spent the money very wisely.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Yeah, they're a.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
Lot more than what I thought. Keep ye, there's no doubt,
Robin Kith.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
And in the morning, now Jess is filling in for
Alana for the next month while she's off gallivanting around Europe.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
Yes, and I always say it's it's Alta's voice twin.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
Yes, even Alata's mom can't tell the difference.

Speaker 5 (30:35):
And you're heavily pregnant, jess So thank you very much,
no worries.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
But you're also filling in for this segment, and we've
got a special intro for you.

Speaker 16 (30:44):
Yeah, she's got the news, she's checked the facts, smartest
in the room.

Speaker 5 (30:49):
There's nothing she lacks keeping you up to date.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
So give of a class, Jessica and Kennedy.

Speaker 7 (30:59):
All that.

Speaker 17 (31:01):
I do a lot.

Speaker 2 (31:03):
To do a better tomorrow.

Speaker 19 (31:05):
That seamless, That was perfect.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
What's happening in news?

Speaker 12 (31:11):
You might have heard there was this big evacuation that
happened at this abatoir in Ipswich. About almost nine hundred
people had to be evacuated. Actually it was because of
this ammonia leak. About a dozen people were assessed, about
five had to go to hospital.

Speaker 5 (31:28):
Where was it in this switch?

Speaker 12 (31:30):
This one was at Ipswich on Lockway in Riverview.

Speaker 5 (31:33):
Yeah, it's a big employer for this switch happening.

Speaker 12 (31:37):
Well, the Magic round, that's a huge one for us
as well that's staying in Brisbane until at least twenty
to thirty two. That was a big thing from the
state government. They managed to do this deal with the NRL.
The premieer is saying that he's got all these big
plans as well. We haven't really given many details on what's.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
Happening a piece of the Olympics.

Speaker 12 (31:57):
And can as well just keep the same sort of
trend going and not give much.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Yeah, just draw us some pretty pictures and her hope
for the best.

Speaker 12 (32:04):
Yeah, So that's saying And obviously we were getting other
states saying that they were sort of keen to take
that over as well, so it's good that we got
to keep that.

Speaker 11 (32:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (32:11):
Obviously that all starts tonight as well.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Yeah, and we're celebrating hard. You can join us because
we're broadcasting live from the Pullman Hotel tomorrow, which is
sort of ground central. There's plenty of team staying there,
so we'll have lots of giveaways tomorrow because the Core.

Speaker 5 (32:24):
Is the official accommodation for then.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
They are indeed we are in the heart.

Speaker 12 (32:30):

Bleep! with Ana Navarro

Fear thrives in silence and confusion. Ana Navarro rejects both. Her voice is an antidote to today’s chaos. Her new podcast, Bleep! with Ana Navarro, takes on today’s most pressing issues with the voices most connected to it: decision-makers, political leaders, cultural shapers, and people on the frontlines of the story. The conversations acknowledge the emotions we all feel—despair, sadness, fear— but emerge with knowledge, perspective, and hope. The belief is simple: fearless dialogue can transform fear into courage, and courage into change. When fear dominates the headlines, this show digs deeper. Because information, debate, and conversation don’t just ease fear, they give us power to shape the future.
