Two irishmen were walking out of a funeral. One turned
to the other and says, it was a beautiful ceremony,
wasn't it? It was replied to friends, listen when I died?
Were you for a decent oliv whiskey as my grave?
As a toast? I will say the friend, but would
you mind if I run it through my kidney? Says
I love that.
Speaker 10 (02:08):
Uh, Paul, you're in the truck, mate, you hear Can
you hear me?
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Where are you pull?
Speaker 13 (02:15):
I'm going on a longer away at the end of
Bay League?
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Okay? Watching jack mate?
Speaker 14 (02:21):
Okay. The next one the only association of the three
lessons on the weekend. On the Saturday morning, I have
a massive response and everyone out the front door was
just causing chaos. So one of the bikes, said to
one of the juniors, go outside and tell a lot
of people.
Speaker 13 (02:36):
That line up in three orderly orderly.
Speaker 15 (02:44):
I don't know why that makes me laugh, but it does.
Speaker 12 (02:49):
What's your west, Joe, I've got to jokes.
Speaker 16 (02:53):
Okay, that's one is what's the spy favorite pair of shoes?
Speaker 3 (02:58):
What is it a spy?
Speaker 8 (03:00):
Spies?
Speaker 3 (03:01):
Spies favorite pair of shoes?
Speaker 16 (03:04):
What nakers.
Speaker 8 (03:08):
Ed?
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Give us your second?
Speaker 17 (03:14):
My second joke is what's Michael Jackson's favorite drink?
Speaker 3 (03:18):
What's Michael Jackson's favorite drink? I was a little friend Jack.
Speaker 10 (03:33):
Even though he was Kim, and.
Speaker 15 (03:35):
I changed your Lord, have we got the delay on?
Speaker 6 (03:39):
We need to wear?
Speaker 8 (03:42):
But I was worried.
Speaker 16 (03:47):
Bag the other day I was kickling my daughter's feet
and my wife yelled at me, you wait until she's born.
Speaker 10 (04:02):
Jamie thirty one six.
Speaker 6 (04:13):
Five Walter, Robin Kith and Coreer. It's in the morning.
Get ready for the worst jokes you'll ever hear.
Speaker 10 (04:24):
It so bad.
Speaker 7 (04:26):
They're good, or at least that's the idea. They might
make your laugh, but you'll probably grown. Hey, it's Robin
Kippen Corey's worst jokes Wednesday.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
After a great start, so far, good laughs, early on and.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
Some unexpected ones.
Speaker 15 (04:43):
Hello Seller Kippering.
Speaker 18 (04:45):
Good morning, God, How are we going good?
Speaker 11 (04:48):
When I don't think you're gonna top Jamie's?
Speaker 3 (04:50):
That was excellent?
Speaker 10 (04:52):
Excellent?
Speaker 3 (04:53):
What do you got this morning?
Speaker 19 (04:54):
I got a couple for you.
Speaker 18 (04:57):
I terrified the Malma and the other day about going
to the door without putting clothes on. I'm not sure
what scared him more, my naked body or the fact
that I knew where he lives. A man wakes up
(05:17):
in a hospital after a serious accident and he screams
to the doctor, I can't feel.
Speaker 19 (05:20):
On the legs. The doctor replies, I know.
Speaker 18 (05:22):
I amputated your arms.
Speaker 15 (05:29):
Here is Peter Flender's view, Hello Pete Gang, how are you.
Speaker 8 (05:35):
This morning?
Speaker 20 (05:36):
A woman takes a baby to the doctor for the
baby's first exam. The doctor examines the baby, checked his weight, and,
being a little concerned the babies, asked if the baby
was breastfed or bottle fed breastfeed she replied. The doctor
asked a stripped down to waste, and he began examining
her breast in great detail, squeezing, prodding, pinching, etcetera. The
doctor said, no, wonder this baby's underweight. You don't have
any milk. I know, she said, I'm his grandmother, but
(05:58):
I'm glad I came.
Speaker 19 (06:02):
I got one more for you.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
My goodness.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
Okay, one more, one more.
Speaker 20 (06:08):
When you try to combine human DNA with dolphin d NA,
you get kicked out of seaweel.
Speaker 8 (06:18):
To Russian beds.
Speaker 13 (06:24):
Got a couple for you.
Speaker 19 (06:26):
What do you call a Russian with bronkartis?
Speaker 3 (06:28):
What do you call a Russian with broncartas?
Speaker 12 (06:30):
What I'm a nasty chess cock?
Speaker 19 (06:35):
Hang on with another?
Speaker 15 (06:41):
What nicole?
Speaker 11 (06:42):
Russian with three balls?
Speaker 3 (06:44):
A Russian with three balls?
Speaker 15 (06:46):
What Russian listeners?
Speaker 9 (07:07):
We started with ticking your baby's feet before born.
Speaker 8 (07:11):
To finish it off on killing someone.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
I'm going to go ahead and call that a great
start on Wednesday.
Speaker 6 (07:19):
Thank you, Robin Kid and couriotes in.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
I may live to regret this.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
Gus cool. He brings some rugby leagues.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
So hang on, were you watching three sixty or something
last night?
Speaker 10 (07:33):
What we want?
Speaker 2 (07:36):
I just love the idea of you just cracking a
couple of cans.
Speaker 9 (07:42):
Awful.
Speaker 21 (07:43):
It may or may not be on in the background,
and it may or may not be because other people
who live in my house are excited about it. But
I did notice this, and I thought that you guys
would enjoy it, because I genuinely thought you didn't like
Gus Gould.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
But it turns out you do respect him.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
I know a ton of people that hate him, and
I think a lot as a Queenslander. He you know,
he's very pro New South Wales.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
But I kind of like that. I like that he
has a.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Picks a team and he equalizes our passion. Yeah, because
not many, not many Blues are as passionate as he is.
Speaker 11 (08:13):
No, I like that.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
I respect it.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
Well, he is he a Bronco fan.
Speaker 9 (08:18):
No, not many other people are that aren't a part.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Of Okay, Well, that makes it interesting because this is
what he said.
Speaker 22 (08:29):
They had to win ad in the raw. They've played
the toughest one first, so it gets easier from here.
I reckon it's a stunning roster. If they keep everyone fitting, well,
there's no reason why week by week they can't pick
off the opposition in this competition. Whether they've got anything
left come September, if they get there's another thing. But
I think they're quite capable of having a big two
months leading into this competition will be very interesting viewing
anyway they make the ot Yes, I know, yeah, why not?
Speaker 12 (08:51):
Oh they.
Speaker 8 (08:54):
Yeah, my belief? What do you think of that?
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Yeah, I'm suspect about about him saying that though.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
I feel like he's saying that so that the Broncos
hear it and think that they they're good and then
you know what I mean, like and don't have the
desperation which they had last week.
Speaker 8 (09:09):
I think I don't think the boys would love is calculated.
Speaker 9 (09:13):
If they hear that and think that they're they're they're
killing it, then there's something wrong.
Speaker 21 (09:17):
And also if they listen to one person versus what's
just happened behind them in the rear vision mirror, then
they don't deserve to win.
Speaker 8 (09:28):
Don't you reckon?
Speaker 2 (09:29):
That's stop of thing he would do, though, just to
just to try and give them false confidence.
Speaker 9 (09:33):
Because I've looked at their final run. Yeah, and he's
spot on.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
Who are they playing next?
Speaker 8 (09:40):
Well, they've they've.
Speaker 9 (09:41):
Got they've got games that the teams look they the
teams they can all beat. But like they're they're up
and down with their consistency too, like they're they're not
all playing great.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Like that's cowboys. This weekend, we got Raiders.
Speaker 8 (09:56):
I think after that is that right?
Speaker 9 (09:58):
Yeah, and then it's just like the run home is promising,
Like if they if they do the same thing. Is
what I've always said, Like the best team they've had
all year is the one they've got right now. And
if they completely they did on the weekend, they will
they will go win. They will win, they will go
(10:19):
close winning because, like you said, their roster, which I've
said is one of the best in the comp and
it really is like they have the one of the
best teams in the comp by by far, and they're
injured and all they're.
Speaker 8 (10:31):
Going to do and all they're going to do is
hold the bloody ball.
Speaker 9 (10:35):
If you hold the ball for more than opposition, you
go a long way to win the game.
Speaker 21 (10:40):
It does prove though that the big players who earn
a lot of money are worth.
Speaker 8 (10:45):
It when you're injured.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
No, no what I mean in terms of it when.
Speaker 21 (10:49):
They're when they're when they're playing, realize how much I mean.
It's like watching the World Cup on Monday morning Argentina.
Argentina would not have been in their back to backs
second final if it wasn't for Messi.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
They just wouldn't.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
The billion dollar man, we got them there, yes, but you.
Speaker 8 (11:07):
Are spot on.
Speaker 9 (11:07):
This will honestly show if we keep the same team
the whole way through, it will show that they're worth
the money. Yeah, if we made the finals, it's worth it.
But they're worth the money.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Okay, So it is interesting though. That does sound like
Good believes he believes. Can we believe he.
Speaker 8 (11:26):
Knows that they're a danger if they if.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
We get there to be an awesome imagine if we
come through this desperate moment all the way to the GF.
Speaker 13 (11:35):
He'll do it.
Speaker 8 (11:36):
Honestly, just making the eight will be will be unreal.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Okay, let's just get there. Okay, we'll get there first.
Speaker 8 (11:44):
We'll get the eight first.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
Are we done?
Speaker 8 (11:47):
We talk about that.
Speaker 6 (11:49):
Robin, Kipp and Courier in the moning.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Not everyone's well rested because we're out last night because
Haig's Chocolate are coming to Brisbane. They're a big Adelaide institution.
They've been in Sydney, in Melbourne, but they're finally coming
to Brizzy and they've.
Speaker 21 (12:02):
Been around for one hundred and eleven years, Australia's oldest
chocolate tears and they were taking really seriously. It was
at the Carlisle Hotel. They brought up their head.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
At chocolate tear.
Speaker 8 (12:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Was he really French?
Speaker 4 (12:15):
Was he the French or Belgium? But I think he
was French.
Speaker 8 (12:18):
French, Yeah, because.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
It just felt like it was a pre requisite when
they and they said, oh, we've got a chocolate tan
and it was like hello, let into them, okay, yeah, stuff, you.
Speaker 10 (12:30):
Know, chocolate.
Speaker 21 (12:31):
And they also brought up fourth generation Hague yeah alistair ha.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 21 (12:37):
So and for some reason in this wonderful intimate space
of about thirty people, there was the three of us.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Yeah, and they brought out like, you know, fresh cocoa pods.
I've never seen a pod before know what they were.
Speaker 9 (12:50):
I'm not going to lie when I walked in and
realized there was like twenty people like, oh, this is
not my this is not somewhere I.
Speaker 8 (12:57):
Thought I was going to ever be place.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
And then they're bringing around samples and things, and they
brought around like fresh, little chopped up bits of cocoa
for for people to have a little scratch and sniff.
Speaker 19 (13:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (13:09):
And so somehow Corey ended up taking.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
The bowl around the room and walking up to strangers
going here, have a sniff.
Speaker 10 (13:17):
I want to sniff.
Speaker 8 (13:19):
You want.
Speaker 10 (13:21):
What I said, you just offer it to them.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
You don't have to ca them, you don't have to
ask him if they want.
Speaker 10 (13:29):
And you didn't listen.
Speaker 8 (13:30):
So I went as the first lady behind you, I went,
want to sniff?
Speaker 10 (13:33):
And I went, oh, that.
Speaker 8 (13:34):
Sounds so right.
Speaker 9 (13:35):
It does, And then he comes out and goes, I
don't have to say that.
Speaker 8 (13:38):
But then the next lady goes, I want you to say.
Speaker 15 (13:45):
Last night it was like our show went on. Sure,
it was so Cory's embarrassing himself everywhere.
Speaker 8 (13:51):
Every time the next person I say it.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
You walked around to a group of lovely strangers.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
Everyone was so nicely dressed, and you're do you want to.
Speaker 8 (14:05):
Did sell good?
Speaker 4 (14:07):
And so like their chocolate is amazing.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
When they come to town, we'll do something because they
it sounds if we could even go to their factory.
It was like it was like a Charlie in the
Chocolate Factory moment, Like you're watch them and they're talking
about how the staff. If you're on on on that
dart on the floor, on the floor that's going just
walk by as it goes by the belt, just just
grab something.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
You can eat as much chocolate as.
Speaker 8 (14:35):
You're in.
Speaker 7 (14:37):
Well.
Speaker 21 (14:37):
The other thing is they're opening three stores here in Brisbane.
I think it's churm side, that's right, and they're looking
like they're very stuff intensive for like seventy stuff for those.
Speaker 13 (14:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
So if you're into chocolate and have a really good metabolism,
because I just feel like if you had that, like,
could you imagine how huge you'd if you get I
wouldn't be looking like this?
Speaker 6 (15:03):
Would you get sick of it?
Speaker 4 (15:04):
Isn't that the whole ideology behind it?
Speaker 21 (15:07):
If you say you can eat whatever you like, then
after about a week you just go, yeah, I'm kind
of dumb.
Speaker 9 (15:12):
I'm kind of I've said that every week and I
still smack a block of chocolate every week?
Speaker 4 (15:16):
Do you do you smack a block of chocolate a week?
Speaker 8 (15:18):
Taking buys about anything? I might? Stop buying me chocolate, No,
excuse me, stop eating it. See, I don't have that
self control. Myself control is.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Not don't have it in the house. I'm the same.
I can't have it in the house.
Speaker 8 (15:29):
It's in the house.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
It's got a guy, yeah in the guts, my mate,
he's got that with Antella. You can't have Nateller in
the house. Oh yeah, hilarious is that anaka will hide
it from him?
Speaker 8 (15:40):
Right?
Speaker 3 (15:40):
And then they have this real scene like about two
hours later, goes where is it?
Speaker 15 (15:47):
You know a lot of people cocaine?
Speaker 10 (15:49):
Yes, it's not rug, it's like a drunk where is it?
Speaker 4 (15:55):
Ntella?
Speaker 15 (15:56):
Robin ki and in the morning find to be joyous.
Speaker 13 (16:00):
Hello, Robin Corey, how are you mate?
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Forget new kid?
Speaker 3 (16:05):
That's all right.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I've got a weird name, much like yourself, a barnaby.
I always get excited when I meet another kip because
there's not many of us around. Have you met another
barnaby in your time?
Speaker 19 (16:15):
There's one up a finger and I found another one somewhere,
but no, it's not it's hard to find a key.
Speaker 23 (16:24):
Ring with his name.
Speaker 10 (16:29):
What's not helping? That's great?
Speaker 4 (16:31):
So Barnaby, tell us what is your dog breed? That's
my burning question?
Speaker 19 (16:36):
Yeah, staffy border collie?
Speaker 2 (16:39):
So yeah, Robin thought, Robin thought college from the house?
Speaker 21 (16:44):
Yeah, and that is that is?
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Both of those are known nutbacks.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Googling are you Barnaby? Joyce and dog? Because I was
actually trying to find out what breed you had?
Speaker 21 (16:58):
Amber Herd's wolf thing comes up, which she she has
honorarily named after.
Speaker 19 (17:04):
You both first and second name. She actually calls it
Barnaby Joy. No, no, there is a lady who I'm
living rent free in her head on it.
Speaker 10 (17:18):
I don't know.
Speaker 19 (17:18):
I don't need to go to Hollywood.
Speaker 2 (17:20):
I lived there in Amber Heerd's head because for those
that mister Barnaby was sort of at the front line
of trying to get Pistol and Boo, Amber and Johnny
Depp's dogs out of the country and possibly possibly put down.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
So let's talk.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
Can we talk about this interview? This was the moment
when we were first introduced to your dog.
Speaker 18 (17:39):
You're defending your leader, but are you really comfortable with
where she is taking you?
Speaker 8 (17:45):
I think, sorry, it's a dog.
Speaker 6 (17:52):
That was Yeah, what was your dog doing?
Speaker 8 (17:54):
Barnaby did come over.
Speaker 19 (17:56):
I hadn't fired it up. It was night time. It'd
come over and was standing under below the deck, and
although you can't hear it on the radio, it was
just bark, bark, bark, bark. And I'm trying to concentrate
because Sarah Faircherson is going from my throat and I'm
just thinking, I've got to resolve this or stop anywhere.
(18:19):
I went to and that's not unusual on the land.
We do tell it from time to time. The dog
was going off and it had me. You could see
it through it. My temp my temper is slowly getting up,
and you can see my eyes glancing to my left
more and more and more.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
What's your dog's name?
Speaker 19 (18:41):
Stella?
Speaker 6 (18:42):
Stella?
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Now there was another moment.
Speaker 2 (18:48):
Your dog featured again later in the interview to.
Speaker 8 (18:51):
Apologize for this dog which has decided to bail up.
Speaker 6 (18:54):
No worry about the dog, just answer the question.
Speaker 8 (18:57):
Don't be rude. Don't be rude. You this interview will
come to a grinding.
Speaker 15 (19:02):
Sarah Barnaby, It was not a good night last night.
Speaker 6 (19:07):
Was it.
Speaker 11 (19:09):
Oh?
Speaker 19 (19:09):
Well, you know I've been around the game long enoughter
When you did that sort of patronizing art, its fever
and you're really silly, And don't worry about it. It's
like mother Superior talking to you.
Speaker 8 (19:23):
Just pull them up.
Speaker 9 (19:24):
Well, you're more frustrated your dog or Sarah?
Speaker 8 (19:27):
Can we this? Can we get to the bottle as well?
Speaker 2 (19:30):
I loved this morning.
Speaker 19 (19:31):
I love my dog.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
A different like. I haven't woken up warming.
Speaker 6 (19:41):
Robin Kith and Courier. It's in the morning.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
So far we're halfway through the podcast.
Speaker 2 (19:46):
So far, this song from from Magnus Ferrell's had about
four hundred thousand streams.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
There's not that many in the scheme of given that
he's Will.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Ferrell's son, but so this is this is not a
bad start single called a sleep Talking a little Listen
to this from.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Magnus. It's fucky.
Speaker 17 (20:13):
Tell me.
Speaker 9 (20:15):
Yeah your man bye.
Speaker 6 (20:23):
Because I need it.
Speaker 21 (20:25):
I like this.
Speaker 4 (20:27):
Give me some pit man.
Speaker 9 (20:31):
Boom, would you go.
Speaker 8 (20:35):
Weave b.
Speaker 10 (20:40):
Last time I have it.
Speaker 8 (20:45):
About the morning when I'm holding.
Speaker 7 (20:51):
You short sermn ye.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
Your life.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
A sleep a sleep talking. It's called pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
And we could get him on you reckon, I reckon.
Speaker 3 (21:08):

love it.
Speaker 2 (21:18):

can hold a note.
Speaker 3 (21:23):
He's a you know, he's more of a funny singer
than he is a singer.
Speaker 8 (21:26):
But he can tick you out of it.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
But he can sing. But not like that, not like that.
That's really beautiful. That's nice.
Speaker 8 (21:33):
I could listen to that.
Speaker 7 (21:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
Okay, Well, let's see if we can find him.
Speaker 8 (21:38):
Probably not by riding.
Speaker 2 (21:41):

your years while you're riding. It's a bit cruiser, right.

In the world, you coming out before Broncos game and

Speaker 5 (24:33):
Robin, Kip and Coriote in the Morning Area fifty one
World Making Memories That Last a Lifetime On Kiss ninety
seven three with Robin Kip and corios.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
We certainly believe that all kids have got a superpower,
and sometimes it just takes a different moment to bring
out that superpower, for us to see it, for them
to share it with the world.
Speaker 21 (24:59):
And we want a kid to about this because the
response to us back at the radio station is both
humbling and overwhelming. People have just I think we did
some stuff on Monday just by bringing these kids together.
So if you haven't been following over the last month,
we had a little guy called Connor. His ma Michelle
(25:19):
sent in a text and it was so shocking to
us about the bullying he was experiencing at school that
we wanted to do something positive, and we landed on
getting a whole bunch of kids who are having trouble
at school to come together to go to Area fifty
one and just have a night to be kids. So
we kind of focused a little bit on Connor on
(25:40):
Monday night because he was the one that brought us there.
Speaker 4 (25:43):
And at the end of the night, I.
Speaker 15 (25:44):
Chatted to his ma Miachelle, how do you feel about tonight.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
Because it would not have happened without you.
Speaker 19 (25:49):
It feels a little bit surreal, to be honest.
Speaker 4 (25:52):
I reached out as someone that was desperate.
Speaker 21 (25:53):
I was at my WIT's end, and then to hear
everybody else's stories and to know that we're not alone
has been a really big support. He's kind of he
had a good night tonight.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
I haven't seen him.
Speaker 17 (26:05):
He's made some new friends and he's had an amazing time.
Speaker 19 (26:08):
Mate.
Speaker 10 (26:08):
That's the ultimate.
Speaker 7 (26:10):
Yeah, thank you so.
Speaker 17 (26:11):
Much, guys, like you've given him a voice and you've
made him stand taller and be proud.
Speaker 4 (26:15):
We could have done it without you.
Speaker 21 (26:16):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
Have you seen a change in him? I have a
massive change.
Speaker 10 (26:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (26:20):
So just a happy boy again, singing again and sleeping.
Speaker 9 (26:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (26:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:26):
When we first met in the studio, we could tell
he was a beautiful kid. But seeing him there having
fun and just seeing the weight off his shoulders.
Speaker 9 (26:35):
It was the second time he came in from the
first of the second time, I was like, holy, may
you look happy?
Speaker 8 (26:41):
And that was off here and he was I'm so happy.
Speaker 21 (26:43):
Well, they changed schools and found his tribe. But I
mean the fact that he was the one that they're
making friends Monday. But the text line has gone off.
People have emailed us, for example, got this one this morning.
Thanks to you, guys. My guys have woken up smiling
going to school for the last two days.
Speaker 4 (27:01):
I don't know how I can thank you enough.
Speaker 21 (27:03):
Their mum walked out on them when Tyler's fourg and
Jack was six, and I think that's always affected how
they think about themselves. Yes, I have seven grandchildren living
at home. These two are my only two boys, and
you've made them feel like men.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
They're so well matted and they have so much good
in them. I'm so glad you guys got to see it.
Speaker 8 (27:25):
Yeah, it's awesome.
Speaker 3 (27:26):
Now we've got to have someone Aphrodites hang on?
Speaker 7 (27:30):
Is that right?
Speaker 8 (27:31):
Hello? Hi?
Speaker 3 (27:33):
Hey, great? So that's a cool Let me just start
how cool that name is?
Speaker 10 (27:40):
Hey?
Speaker 11 (27:41):
Greek?
Speaker 4 (27:42):
Greek?
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (27:47):
Well, I mean that is a cracking night that is.
Speaker 13 (27:49):
Don't look it, don't speak.
Speaker 24 (27:50):
It numbers to ten and my uncle taught me to coeverds.
That's about it.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
And that's the only Greek.
Speaker 4 (27:59):
You have, the most Greek name ever.
Speaker 7 (28:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 21 (28:02):
Anyway, aphroditis, how did your child go at Area fifty
one on Monday?
Speaker 11 (28:09):
She's domo UMBs up?
Speaker 16 (28:10):
You can talk?
Speaker 24 (28:10):
I don't know about really laugh.
Speaker 4 (28:13):
Did the Georgia did you have fun?
Speaker 25 (28:16):
Nay?
Speaker 6 (28:16):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (28:18):
What was your best.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
I'm in grade six, in grade six, okay, and what
was your favorite bit of the night?
Speaker 6 (28:27):
Probably everyone loved that.
Speaker 11 (28:31):
Yeah, I thought.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
On Corey something on Corey what he through through a snow?
Speaker 8 (28:42):
I remember you.
Speaker 21 (28:46):
And Ellen a part of the Superpower Squad. A parent
you're a parent of who?
Speaker 4 (28:51):
Ellen?
Speaker 24 (28:52):
My little boy's name is Carter?
Speaker 4 (28:56):
And how did how did you go?
Speaker 24 (28:59):
He had the best time. I haven't seen him smile
like that for quite some time. And as he was
falling asleep Monday night, he held my hand and he said,
thank you so much, Mum. I had the best night ever.
Speaker 4 (29:13):
Has he had some trouble in school up until then?
Speaker 11 (29:17):
Yeah, he has.
Speaker 24 (29:18):
He has a few things going on. He has asd
adhd and he's just started prep so it's been a
bit of a struggle for him and building relationships and
things like that. So it was so lovely to see
him have a night to be himself and see him
shine again.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
I just stunned at the response similar to that, thanks
so much.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Ellen, Like Georgia sent in what an unforgettable evening, I
haven't seen a smile like that in such a long time.
Watching her laugh, play and simply enjoy being a.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
Kid filled my heart far out. It's yeah, we need
to do more of this.
Speaker 21 (29:51):
We know that the good news is Area fifty one
are super keen and we're super keene.
Speaker 6 (29:56):
So stay tuned, Robin Ki and in the morning.
Speaker 21 (30:01):
I'm at this wonderful point period in my life where
my children have grown up. Their young men are twenty six,
twenty four, and twenty two, and it's only probably been
in the last six to twelve months that they've started
to choose to.
Speaker 4 (30:12):
Want to hang out with me, which is like the
ultimate right.
Speaker 16 (30:15):
I know.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
Don't laugh, Cory, It's taken.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
A long time.
Speaker 21 (30:19):
Choosing to be with me, and I mean it does
help that I do this job and I get invited
to cool things. So last I think it was Thursday night,
we were invited to their KG sports bar.
Speaker 15 (30:31):
Yes, and my three boys came.
Speaker 21 (30:33):
But you're going to hear two of them, my middle
so Luin and my youngest son pipe us.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
If your kids don't want to hang out with you
and you're getting free wings and beer, but it's you.
Speaker 15 (30:45):
We're stealing World Cup fever. And my boys are complete
soccer nuts.
Speaker 21 (30:51):
So they decided to have a quiz with me, which
I wanted to leave a couple of days after the
World Cup ended, because I know what you two are like.
Speaker 4 (30:59):
You get on band wagons and then you forget it.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
If all of a sudden, I'm walking around him by.
Speaker 15 (31:06):
So listen to the quiz and then see if you
can answer.
Speaker 23 (31:09):
It was trend going around on TikTok.
Speaker 24 (31:12):
That says, if your if your mom growing up his voice,
you're all played football.
Speaker 4 (31:18):
If your mom can name five football players, you get
a million.
Speaker 15 (31:21):
Dollars past a full time.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
David beckons what.
Speaker 15 (31:27):
Ronaldo?
Speaker 4 (31:31):
What's the name of the Norwegian guy? And Namer?
Speaker 19 (31:39):
Wow?
Speaker 10 (31:40):
Hey there you go.
Speaker 6 (31:42):
I did it?
Speaker 10 (31:42):
Yeah, you did it?
Speaker 19 (31:43):
Can you?
Speaker 10 (31:48):
I've already said him, O, that's good.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
What what do you guy? The one that did really
well at the start the story nestory three?
Speaker 15 (32:03):
Oh, it's just so bad.
Speaker 8 (32:05):
Okay, what's the goal giver? But yeah, the ball we
had ball?
Speaker 3 (32:12):
Yeah, pretty sure, there's a guy called ball.
Speaker 8 (32:16):
Cain.
Speaker 3 (32:17):
Yeah, we had beached the goalie Caine named Steve.
Speaker 6 (32:22):
And Bob.
Speaker 10 (32:23):
There you go, Steve.
Speaker 6 (32:27):
And Steve was on the back in the day, Robin
Kith and couriotes.
Speaker 20 (32:33):
In the morning.
Speaker 21 (32:34):
I'm very disappointed with my life choices. I talk so
much rugby league with you too, that it's now coming
up on my feet.
Speaker 2 (32:41):
Earlier in the show today for those that missed the
early rises, the Robin was talking to us about Gus
Gould and his thoughts on the Broncos and now you've
got more rugby league chat.
Speaker 4 (32:51):
Well this was interesting.
Speaker 6 (32:56):
For me.
Speaker 21 (32:56):
What I'm interested in is the stories behind it, you know,
like the psychology of players. And this has come from
a podcast which is I think s to two Sports
Australia and they took.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
All things rugby league.
Speaker 21 (33:08):
But why I was interested is because this guy is
talking about Matt Ballin, Maddi Balan.
Speaker 4 (33:14):
Who's Matt Ballin.
Speaker 9 (33:15):
He's the assistant coach at the club at the moment.
He's also the assistant for the Queensland Okay he play?
Speaker 3 (33:20):
Did he play one?
Speaker 8 (33:21):
Origin played for Manly Manly and.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
But he's assistant coach now Bronx.
Speaker 15 (33:28):
Yes, okay, Well his story is about him and Wayne Bennett.
Speaker 25 (33:33):
He was at the Broncos in a squad of very
good players at the time, wasn't getting an NRL gig,
wasn't getting an NRL game. He then decided to ask
Wayne Bennett and said Wayne, Why not getting a run?
Speaker 8 (33:46):
What is it that I can do?
Speaker 25 (33:48):
Wayne turned around and said, Maddie, You're just not a
natural footballer.
Speaker 8 (33:52):
He then got in the car and left.
Speaker 25 (33:54):
Maddie got in his car and sat there with his
head in his hands, thinking Wayne just told me I'm
not a natural footballer.
Speaker 8 (34:00):
What am I going to do now?
Speaker 25 (34:02):
Then Mattie received the tap on the window and as
he wanted it down, Wayne said, and I'm not a
natural coach either, and then he left.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
That's an important comeback, isn't it?
Speaker 2 (34:14):
Isn't it?
Speaker 6 (34:15):
So?
Speaker 21 (34:16):
I guess what I wanted you guys to think about,
because I think all of us have something. You know,
my English teacher told me I'd never have anything to
do with the English language because I was dyslexic and
so hopeless at school.
Speaker 4 (34:28):
And I've written a book and I've been on radio
for over thirty.
Speaker 3 (34:30):
Years, so almost exclusively to do with the English language.
Speaker 21 (34:34):
Yes, so my question is and thirteen one oh sixty five,
because we would all have one something that we've really,
really really fought to be better.
Speaker 4 (34:44):
At that we're not a natural at. I wants to
go first.
Speaker 9 (34:49):
Mine was, Yeah, So from when I was like I
had a starter, but I used to talk so quick
as a kid.
Speaker 8 (34:54):
I just get really nervous talking. But I was never
greater like I really was.
Speaker 9 (34:59):
And every time anything to do with English, I remember orals,
I'd stand up nervous and i'd start starter.
Speaker 8 (35:04):
And get you know, I'd forget words.
Speaker 9 (35:07):
I'd be reading so far ahead of where I was
actually at, that's why, and then I'd forget you know.
Speaker 8 (35:12):
So speaking for me was hard, like and now you're
on radio, mum chef.
Speaker 9 (35:17):
She used had to stand with me and like stop, breathe,
calm down, slow down, and then start again. Yeah, and
that was yeah for me, it was I had to
start about you.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
I've never known that you. I haven't for.
Speaker 9 (35:32):
People to think that I would be, you know, talking
and you know, gund and doing lunches and a lot
of stuff I'm doing right now, I think, Yeah.
Speaker 8 (35:40):
They would all be very surprised.
Speaker 9 (35:41):
A lot of my teachers would have said, that is
the last thing they would have thought I'd be doing.
Speaker 4 (35:46):
Wow, what about you?
Speaker 3 (35:47):
Thirty one six five. By the way, if you want
to share your story about I. For me, it was physical.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
I was a terrible runner at school, like slow as yeah,
me and Mark McTavish always came last, equal last in
the spring.
Speaker 6 (36:00):
Coming Mark, Okay, Mark?
Speaker 3 (36:01):
Yeah? And so I was just a bad run. I
could never run, could never run far.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
And then it was probably about ten years ago. Now
I ran a marathon like I just really yeah, because
I just was like I was just determined to be
better than I am, you know what I mean. And
you just kept trying. And what I discovered is that
I could keep going. I wasn't fast, but that I
could just keep going.
Speaker 13 (36:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 21 (36:22):
Is that what you said in your own head? Because
you know, we talk ourselves out of everything. I'm not
a naturally this, I can't do that.
Speaker 19 (36:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
But when you went okay, I'm just gonna like and.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
I could look at my sports watch or whatever, and
so I was doing a six minute k and in
my head, I said, this is my all day this
is my all day pace.
Speaker 3 (36:38):
I can do this all day.
Speaker 10 (36:39):
Wow.
Speaker 9 (36:40):
And yeah, you know that's funny because there was a
dude I remember in school. Him and I used to
always go head to head for like the champion age
champion stuff. I was always fast, but he was long
distance wouldn't He would probably come fourth or fifth or
sixth maybe in the in the short stuff. Yeah, but
when everything above eight hundred meters because you just had
that great steady plays in his head. He knew he
(37:02):
was going to beat everyone else.
Speaker 21 (37:03):
Okay, we've still got a double to go to this
amazing six course Greek feast.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
Oh yes, the Greek Club. You so tell us what
were you what did you become good at that?
Speaker 2 (37:14):
You weren't a natural as Robin Kipp and Courier in
the morning for about times that you know, you weren't
supposed to be good at it, but you did it anyway.
Speaker 21 (37:22):
Yeah, Wayne Bennett reckons he was not a natural coach. Yeah,
he is probably the greatest coach of rugby league.
Speaker 19 (37:28):
Is he not?
Speaker 9 (37:29):
Yes, well he was a winger, I think, so they're
not really did know him to be good coaches, So
that you, bud, Yeah, that's what I didn't coach.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
And he told the story that you had was that
he told Matt Beallen, who's the current assistant coach, that
he wasn't a natural footballer. And Matt went on to
play for Queensland and had a great career in Manly.
But he just I guess, yeah, I had to.
Speaker 9 (37:50):
Say this, what but Wayne Bennett taught me the one
There's one thing he said, and I thought he was
taking the mickey out of me about like when I
was young, well, when I first started as about how
to play wing and like all this and that and
it's about catching.
Speaker 8 (38:04):
And the tiniest little bit of info was always make
sure you.
Speaker 9 (38:06):
Can see your hands when you're looking at the ball,
because then it means your hands are going to follow
your eyes.
Speaker 13 (38:11):
Huh.
Speaker 8 (38:12):
And it worked so good. But I'd never given him
credit for him.
Speaker 21 (38:18):
But he wasn't naturally a natural, he thinks, Tony mar
what was it that you were not a natural att
but you succeeded at hi.
Speaker 16 (38:29):
Guys, I'm very similar to Kip. I was not athletic
at all at school or growing up, and I have
now completed multiple triathlons, but done two ironmn what what
an iron man?
Speaker 3 (38:42):
For those that don't know, that's how far is the swim?
Speaker 16 (38:45):
So it's a three point eight k ocean swim, a
one hundred and eighty k bike ride, and then a
full marathon at the end.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
Mathon, you haven't done it?
Speaker 9 (38:55):
Sure you were an athletic from school?
Speaker 16 (38:58):
Definitely not.
Speaker 21 (39:00):
It's incredible, incredible, that's extraordinary, Susie Wakeley, what is it
that you went an actual atte but you've succeeded?
Speaker 11 (39:09):
I never, never, ever was good at math, and now
I am an accounts clerk.
Speaker 10 (39:17):
Are you, like, are you good at maths? Now?
Speaker 3 (39:20):
Is there things around you?
Speaker 11 (39:23):
I'm still not very good at it, but I can
do it. I ran into my math teacher from high
school who I had from year nine to year twelve,
and I told him I'm now an account's clerk and
he just could not believe it.
Speaker 4 (39:39):
Wow, that must have.
Speaker 8 (39:40):
Been a glory. Philip at Av What weren't you good
at it? But now? Yeah, now you are?
Speaker 6 (39:48):
So.
Speaker 13 (39:49):
I don't know if it's necessarily good at but I
was always like a big guy. And when I say big,
I'm talking like big big, like upwards of like three
hundred and fifty four and seventy kilos. Keep in mind
I'm about six for eight. Yeah, and maybe like ten
years ago I was like, ah, I can do this,
and just literally dropped two hundred kilos in about three
(40:10):
years and became a strong man for a couple of
years and started competing in it and got pretty fit.
Speaker 6 (40:17):
Wow, Wow, Phil.
Speaker 4 (40:19):
Did you have to get the skin operated on toe.
That's a huge amount of Yeah.
Speaker 13 (40:23):
Yeah, so I did that maybe about five years ago.
I ended up with about seven foot of scars of scars. Wow,
they cut twenty eight kilos of skin off me.
Speaker 8 (40:39):
Man, Well that's incredible.
Speaker 3 (40:42):
Someone there might be someone listening.
Speaker 16 (40:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (40:44):
I feel that it's about determination and that mental So
what was.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
The first step? What would you say to someone who
needs to take that first step?
Speaker 13 (40:53):
I know it sucks you hear it a million days,
but it's all about diet. Like literally the hardest thing
was every meal for three years, I had steak and broccolini.
Speaker 8 (41:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 13 (41:04):
Cool, you have steak all the time. But I tell
you what, it gets old after three years.
Speaker 2 (41:08):
But did you do a lot?
Speaker 19 (41:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 13 (41:13):
Look, I mean I went to the gym every day,
but I was basically just doing cardio weights. Yeah, everyone
goes you got you know, you got to get on
the walker, You got to do this. That gets boring fast. Yeah,
if you're if you're actually getting stronger and you're doing
you know, lots of reps, lots of sets. It really
when you're that size, that's the exact same thing and
(41:34):
makes it way easier. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (41:35):
So in all honestly, Like it's one of the hardest
parts I think is it's consistently waking up and going there.
Like would you just say that, you know, the thing
you kept doing was just going like you committed to
always going there.
Speaker 13 (41:50):
Yeah, I've literally just pulled as the gym.
Speaker 3 (41:53):
Now wow, and what's and what do you have? Like
is your diet?
Speaker 1 (41:57):
Now?
Speaker 3 (41:57):
Are you strict?
Speaker 2 (41:58):
Can you sort of go out and have meals with
friends or what do you have to do?
Speaker 7 (42:01):
Now?
Speaker 13 (42:02):
Well, look, I'm I'm training like three to four hours
a day every day. Now, really it really freez up
the food a little bit more.
Speaker 3 (42:10):
When I bet so.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
Can you have the occasional Greek feast is my question?
Speaker 13 (42:16):
I can have the occasional Greek feast?
Speaker 2 (42:18):

calories on It's great, Yeah, I mean and you could
probably just go the lamb and I'm sure that they'll brockoly.

Sometimes they just need a better crew around them.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
They need to find their people.
Speaker 21 (43:07):
Yes, and this has been like going for a month,
as with inviting families whose kids haven't found their tribe
to come play with us at Area fifty one on
Monday night.
Speaker 4 (43:17):
It has. We've been over.
Speaker 15 (43:20):
By how much it's changed some kids' lives.
Speaker 8 (43:23):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
So many parents are on the night, Like while the
kids were just running off, running wild, so many parents
came up and spoke to us, all sort of separately.
Speaker 3 (43:30):
So thanks so much for tonight, and we're thinking, man,
this is the least we can do.
Speaker 8 (43:33):
It's yeah, I know.
Speaker 4 (43:34):
It's not such a big deal. I mean, we will
do it again.
Speaker 9 (43:37):
If the one does offer that for all ages, Like
as a parent you can go and like if your
kids scared of something, you can go with them. Yeah,
but it's they find friends and they yeah, it just
it was so good to see them all have a big.
Speaker 8 (43:48):
Smile on their face.
Speaker 9 (43:49):
They're all sweating, yes, because they had a great night.
Speaker 3 (43:52):
Let's have a little listen to some of the fun.
How excited are you for to go playing?
Speaker 17 (43:56):
Very exciting?
Speaker 18 (43:57):
What do you think you want to go on first?
Speaker 10 (43:59):
Definitely?
Speaker 17 (44:00):
Oh, Like, my favorite thing was in the snow and
I'm going down the slides.
Speaker 4 (44:06):
What was your favorite thing so far tonight?
Speaker 3 (44:08):
Oh, the big slides.
Speaker 17 (44:09):
My favorite friend was the snow climbing on the climbing things.
When you press the button, you just pulled down. It
was super duper fun. My favorite thing was going in
the snowloon. I've got a snip ball in my hand.
Speaker 6 (44:24):
Now, have your kids been having fun tonight? I haven't
seen them all night.
Speaker 3 (44:28):
You've been having funds to night, but I have.
Speaker 17 (44:30):
My favorite thing tonight was meeting Choreotes. I faced my
fear of going down the medium tie side.
Speaker 2 (44:39):
It was really stowed.
Speaker 10 (44:41):
Help me nothing.
Speaker 6 (44:47):
Much, Thank you so much. Kiss, thank you, Yes, Robin
Kith and Coreotes.
Speaker 2 (44:59):
Alright, this is a nervous moment because Drew's told us
that somebody's somewhere is our boss. Somebody's breached bridged the
radio codes. Basically, someone's done something terrible on the show
and I didn't notice it.
Speaker 21 (45:10):
I did.
Speaker 3 (45:11):
It could have been you, Corey, I did. You noticed it?
Speaker 21 (45:14):
I did, But the problem is that we have a
delay button, a dumb button so that we can get
out and then come back.
Speaker 4 (45:21):
But it was Yeah, I didn't.
Speaker 21 (45:23):
Think it was audible enough, okay, And I thought, oh,
if I put draw attention to it.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
Yeah, it could be a problem.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
Like the fact that neither of us noticed it means
it maybe right, it slipped past it. That's what I thought.
Speaker 21 (45:34):
Yeah, Well, it was a part of work worst joke Wednesday,
and it was a reaction.
Speaker 8 (45:39):
Is that is that? What was it?
Speaker 11 (45:40):
Drew?
Speaker 9 (45:41):
I was going to say it had to be me,
because you're not going to be magging this an issue
if it wasn't me.
Speaker 2 (45:44):
Yeah, it was Corey reacting to Barnaby Joyce Young at
the dog Ah huh.
Speaker 3 (45:50):
Okay, So it was part of the Barnaby Joyce chat.
So before that was we're talking about it coming up?
Yeah okay. And this is about three days after Corey
did the radio rules training.
Speaker 1 (46:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 21 (46:02):
We have to do every year and it is the
most the biggest punish ever, but we have to answer
stupid questions so that we have done our codes and practices.
Speaker 3 (46:14):
Sorry, that's that's a definite.
Speaker 11 (46:22):
Was.
Speaker 15 (46:23):
The thing that's worse is you didn't realize you do it.
Speaker 3 (46:27):
So often, you don't even know.
Speaker 8 (46:29):
But I die though.
Speaker 10 (46:30):
I like with that you so well.
Speaker 8 (46:33):
I was dude, I was allowed this way.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
No, you do, not on air, no, but just in general,
in general.
Speaker 9 (46:40):
Yeah, because I get it all out, yeah, before I
get done.
Speaker 8 (46:44):
Trying to get it wasn't wasn't a full bun you
know the I felt.
Speaker 4 (46:54):
Because you've heard that audio so many times.
Speaker 8 (46:56):
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (46:57):
I don't remember, Dawn, Okay, so one of those now
I blacked out moments.
Speaker 3 (47:02):
It wasn't a hard f No, it was one thing.
Speaker 4 (47:05):
We haven't had any complaints yet, have we No, No,
we haven't.
Speaker 9 (47:08):
We don't bring it to the attention, and maybe we
don't get in trouble. Then that mean maybe maybe a
little bit of a little bit of
Speaker 6 (47:19):
