because we we went to Molrow's in Oxford Street, which
is very close to where we live, because we still
had you know, the kids had to get baby sat nanny,
Pearl and Aiden came around. So yeah, we had We
had a lovely dinner. You know, we had champagne on
arrival and all that, all the way to the dessert

and then but then we had to go home put
the kids to bed. So romantic. So I fell asleep
reading the Bad Guys book next to Raphael and that
was our and that was our night. But did you
do it? No, no gifts and I did that latter
you made me read out on air.

So we're watching the radar and we're thinking, okay, we
can scoot through here. So we left from the Sunny Coast.
I drove up to the Sunny Coast and he came
home from work and we're jumping on the bike and
we think, you know, it's okay, we might get a
few sprinkles. But as it's looking up north and what
the predictions were, it's all going to hit Brisbane.

Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Well that was fine until we got to Tyro, which
is between Gimpie and mary Borough. Yeah, and then it
just started and it bucketed down so much so by
the time we got to Childers we could not see
the road in.

Is this Saturday morning, No, this is Friday afternoon. So
when it was supposed to be hitting here, and I'm
saying to like on our group chat, I'm like, is
there weather in Brisbane?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
You're like, no, it was like a light drizzle. That's
all we have found it.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
Because you got the oh we got the event. And
by the time we got to Childers, We're like, we
were drowned. And I don't mind being on the back
of the bike as long as I'm not cold, Like
it's like running in the rain. But because he can't
see that slightly dangerous because.

There's no windscreen wipers, is there? Did you have to
clean the helmet every now?

Speaker 1 (03:37):
No? But we get to the two Childers and we're like,
where can we stay? There's the Federal Hotel. Now, the
Federal Hotel has a singles night on Friday night.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Oh yeah, yeah.

Three blokes turned up. One of them because Olivia was
parking the bike. He sauned us up to me and
he's going, hi, and I'm like, who are you, buddy? Anyway,
tells his life story, been in jail for twelve months.

It's nice to get that out there early. And I'm like,
I keep telling me this.

I don't even need to know this about you. Then
he scurried away. And then at about half an hour later, Kaz,
who was this awesome bar maid, starts like yelling your
guts out at a kid that's across the road. She
talks out from behind the bar, calls this kid over.
It is Torrential and she's like, hey, you've been getting

that kid to buy you drinks. I'm going to tell
your mother. It's like, please don't welcome to children?

Speaker 2 (04:40):
How good? And did you end up staying at children? Yes?

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Five dollars a night?

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah, Now what's the toilet situation there.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
To share from me? That's an absolute no for me.
They had a deck and we could dry ourselves out.
So then the next morning we're thinking, oh, should we
make it up to seventeen seventy? I know the weather
Bureau is saying that's where it's going to hit.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Oh wow, do.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
You know last night we checked not one drop of
rain in seventeen Of course.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
O, your keenes could have been u finally, you.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Know, man agonizing overpacking. I did not use one thing.
Oh wow, I changed dundies and used for toilet pack.
You could.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
You could have got around the pool, the children's pub.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
You should have just got outside, so fun.

Right.

I did find the ginger in bakery. That's awesome, and
their collaborough kept something pub which is also really cool.

We can't make it out of chill that right there
