It’s a huge milestone for Big Red. Corey Horsburgh celebrates his 100th game with the Raiders! He caught up with Rod and Gabi to share what the moment means to him and the club. Naturally, they had to ask if he’s got a special post-100th game ritual planned… and instead, he revealed a guilty pleasure he indulges in after every Raiders game.
The Raiders face off against the Knights in Newcastle tomorrow night (July 27th) with kick-off at 8pm.

We remember the end of last season. He is a
crowd favorite.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
He is one of the Green Machine's favorite sons, and
he was on fire and he was winning games for
us off his own boots. Camera was one more play
time running out.
Speaker 1 (00:13):

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Howse Bro Horse take that dragons tying it up, and
then we convert and win the game up the road
and we go back up the road tomorrow night to
Newcastle where he's gonna be playing for one one hundred
games currently on ninety nine Corey horse Work.
Speaker 1 (00:35):

Speaker 3 (00:37):
By the way, thank you appreciate that you have me

Speaker 2 (00:41):
It, mate, that's our pleasure. You're on your way to
training right now. I mean this is a similar conversation
we have with players of all sorts of codes across
the Capitol.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
How you're traveling with the cold? You got the track,
he's on all the shorts.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
I still got the shorts on. But I think it
was a mistake this morning.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
It's not mate, You've sent a psychological message.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Yeah, exactly right. I'm trying to trying to act like
it's warm still, but it's bloody freezing today.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
How high is the heater on in the car?
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Oh, it's on a high max thing. So we wine
down this morning.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
What's the routine because often if we play a Sydney club,
it's the Murray's bus and away we go. A lot
of people don't realize Newcastle is hours out of Sydney.
On the other side, do we fly up and then
jump in a bus or do you murrays all the way?
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Yeah, we've got a charter fight today we are, so
we're very lucky. We just rock up to the back
part of the airport, get on a plane and then yeah,
I'd say we'll get on the bus. But yeah, it's
a lot easier for fine to long bust trip to Newcastle.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Yeah, what's that flight like? Because it does seem like
the Rockstar service. Is only the team on that you
don't have to worry about anyone listening into conversations or
seeing what you're up to. Is it a bit of
a party?
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Oh? I wouldn't add the party, but it's nice. You
just rock up, don't have to check your bags and
just jump on and off you go. So it's been
of the Rockstar treatment, but it's quick and easy.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Apart from the bit of a party part GA, you
never ceases to underline why we are not professional.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
We take it to that level because we partied to
we had a private chance.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Let's go. No, you need to play the game and
then maybe a beer afterwards. You've spoken about this in
the past. Twelve months ago it looked like you could
be Bronco. Different teams were looking at you, and you're
not ashamed to say you might have had a look sideways.
You chose to stay in the capitol. With how we're
traveling now, how pleased are you that your loyalty is

being rewarded.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Oh yeah, I always knew we had the players and
squad to do it. Obviously, last year wasn't my best
year personally and the club didn't go to good as well.
But I think it all started the pre seasonally, kind
of all knuckled down and kind of trained for each other.
And now we're playing for each other. And you see
how in the field we're playing some good foot in it,

very good footing.
Speaker 4 (03:01):
And you are looking very fit this season. Have you
changed anything?
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Yeah, I started the diet. Really, I'm getting a bit
older now and was looking after the body, so I
started the diet, got off the got for the drink
for a little bit there, and that helps. But yeah,
just kind of started looking after myself a bit better.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
I'd still love to go through exactly what a mealt
is a big man, and you still need the calorie. Yeah,
your diet would be my feast. And I think i'd
like to go on the Corey horse for a diet.
I probably wouldn't have the same results. I wouldn't be
looking as fit as a fiddle like you. But she
it sounds likely to be fun. What's the cheap meal
you win on on Friday night? And providing of course
(03:42):
that the Pennies win tonight, all of a sudden we're
top of the table.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
What's the reward? You got to have a cheap meal?
Speaker 3 (03:48):
I have a cheap meal after every game. So I'm
normally a big Macas guy. Love me nuggets. We're not lose,
that's me me guilty, Poge. I like to go to
Macas and kind of relax for the night and maybe
a bottle of red wine or something.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Hold on a second, and you've acted one with the
Nuggets'll tell you hell, it's a special occasion.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
I mean, it's a bit of it's a bit of
a weird, weird mix, but that's my guilty pleasure.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
That's that's absolutely bang on. And I'll tell you what.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
In some parts of the world they serve it like
that too. You have those nuggets in McDonald's in France.
It comes with the with the red wine. You've acted
like it's just a six pack, and I got to know,
I'm sure it's not how many nuggets.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
I normally get that. I think it's the twenty one
or whatever. The cheapest you get the deal. So yeah,
I want to the cheapest time, just really quickly.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
You're on Swish, like a lot of the players are,
where you actually do videos for people who buy them
for people's birthdays, anniversaries or whatever it may be. They
can get a message with you. Have you had any
weird requests to do any odd videos you.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
Get, You get a couple weird ones. You get a
bit skeptical for the boys, so you've got to be safe.
You've got to be careful.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
All right, We're going to go and ask the boss
with the work card and maybe you hop on there.
You get a bit of a weird one later today,
