Speaker 1 (00:04):
Step yeah, bonus, bonus bonus, A bonus, bonus, bonus bonus,
Oh my god, And luckily nothing rhymes with that except
for a step.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Excuse me? Why are you so happy that I'm out
of the junk?

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Oh my goodness, I.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Was so well, here we go.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
So you're thrilled, No, I was actually devo.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Don't be devo. I'm I'm very happy like you.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
I was amazed and so thrilled that you went through
the way that you did.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Can I tell you that you did? I said it
on the show. Wasn't a lie? When I said goodbye
to Cody, I said I He laughed and said, if
you're lucky he's asking you in four days. I lasted
to the second last day.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
What amazed?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
I mean, it completely broke me, as you can see
in the shop.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I don't think you know, I know you say that
it was actually the making of you.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
I think it was you because at the end, you know, when.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Robert and Julia are talking to you, and you said,
and you were, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
You were quite reflective. Whatever you weren't your emotion and self.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
He was very emotional, and you said, what.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Was the term that you used? You said you were
so amazed by yourself. Yeah, I'm weak.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
And a sook, you said, And I thought to myself,
here here, but in the show you weren't.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
You weren't. And I'm like, why do we get the
lesser self a week after week? The buckwhits the buck knuckles?

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Why anyone that knows me knows how much I, as
you know, love Survivors TV show of all time, and
I won't lie to you. The thrill of leaving the
jungle on a puzzle in the middle of the desert.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
It did.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
And the music that was playing when I watched that.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Play, that music not live. I was watching it back
last The music was terrible.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
It was so survivor that I got. I got very
emotional watching it. I thought, this is like a weird
dream come true. Second last day, are you kidding me? Awesome?
I'm so happy to leave the way I did.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
And also you got it the way who you got
beaten by was kind of right to amazing that you
and beat went together.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I mean, Beck, Beck was the you know, it's really odd.
Beck was the very first person I met day one
when I got off the car. Really, Beck was the
very first person I met. And that's who I.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
And she so thrilled at how fast she went as well, the.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Two of us. And let me tell you something about
that final day, the whole whoa. Some parts of the
show were very very hard. We all know this. I've
spoken about on this pod. When you go do a trial,
you get blindfolded and you get taken to cars and
get driven away from.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
The kind of way yes, point of order.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Whoever has designed those blind folds must be making a
fortune from reality shows because in the olden days they
just have a sleep mask.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Do you remember that when someone folded the hole. Yeah,
and someone's.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Obviously designed like a proper black blind fold, looks good.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
I wonder who that is.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
So the final episode day was excruciatingly hot. It was
like a really really really hot day, hot thirty something
and you're in the sun, you're just outside. And we
had to do three trials, as you saw the show,
the big first one that Luke won. But you forget TV.
They've got to set up. People need breaks. We've got

(03:38):
to reset this reset. All the cameras have to turn
this way. Now, they've got to get.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
And then they stop, Oh the cruel irony. They stop
for a meal. Break for a meal.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
You don't.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
We go to the van and we sit in a
van and wait.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
And you don't get anything to eat.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Well, we can't do they give you on those days,
we get our rice portions, just your ration. You get
your rice portion in a little tub.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
I kept waiting the whole time I was there. I
kept waiting for the little show secrets to get yeah right.
Not a single time, no, ever a moment where I
went this bit's fake, yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Right, it was all legit.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
So that day, were you like scavenging around, I would
have been like constantly looking for someone to have dropped
a chocolate bar or.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
All of that, but nothing.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Honestly, by week two you succumb to it.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
Yeah right.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
By week two, you don't know what it's like to
not feel starving. It's just you wake up starving. You
do everything starving. Even when you get fed.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
You resigned to it. Yeah, you just give up, Yeah okay.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
And you just go I'm starving for forever now. So
that day was very very hot and very very long,
and the Middle Name Guessing game went for so right,
much longer than it was on TV. Wasn't very long,
and we were blindfolded in the sun waiting for our turns.
In between all the setups. It was just a very

(05:00):
hard day. We were all physically quiet.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Who copped at the worst and who couldn't handle it
the most.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Beck and Yeah were really Harry Off.

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Because he's not used to those conditions.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
They're active.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Of course, he's my air conditioned trailer.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
I mean funny, like it was funny breaking.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
This show is going to kill Beck and Gary.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
And then for the big final game. And here's the
secret why I was super super emotional. I put all
this stuff out of my mind. But other people were
very good at knowing how the show operates. I was
very bad at it, so I never knew what was happening.
But other players, camp mates, very good at going, well,
this is this Wednesday episode, this is.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
The dog they could keep. They they knew when the
eliminations were happening, and all of that whisper.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
I didn't get any of that right, and I'm happy
I didn't really think about it too much because I
would have got so emotional. But just before that day,
in the morning, before we went off to the elimination day,
Beck said, our families are here. She's like, because think
about it because of the math, because they flew the
f they flew the final sixer's family over just in

(06:07):
case whoever.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
It was was in the final three goodn't.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Had their family there for the reunion, And so the.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Hole even creepily been in the bush watching you.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
So the whole day I knew no matter what I
was seeing Cody tonight or tomorrow, and it made me sho.
I didn't show this bit. But when we did our
exit interview, Rob Owen said, and I just want you
guys to know Nathan Cody landed three hours ago and

(06:36):
he's waiting for you back at the hotel.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Did you start?

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Of course I did?

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Are you kidding?

Speaker 2 (06:44):
So this was how this is how quick it is? Beck,
Can I get eliminated? Yeah, we get taken over to
the interview area they give us.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
They did it straight away.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Straight away. Logs just get sitting on those logs a.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Long way apart from each other.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
It was very str you think it's like a COVID thing.
But we still hugged andraced.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
And also we yeah, we finished that.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
We finished that interview. We're taken straight to a car,
cars taken straight back to headquarters. Yet I did didn't know.
I didn't know this place existed, Kate. So I've been
in this camp for, by the way, twenty four days, right,
come on buckheads.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Yeah, out of a possible twenty five ah main scene
and we're outdoors.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
He faulted at the final hurd.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
No roof, no showbiz. You're outside for twenty four days?
You outside?

Speaker 3 (07:37):
You like that is amazing.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
Straight to this whole other place I didn't know existed,
truck after truck after truck after like those portable classroom
kind of things.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, modular.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
See of them. It's headquarters. There's the control room, there's
I got taken into the old post of video on
the bucket, on the buck up instack, and I got
taken into the room. I love a hundred screens.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
And how were they when you walked in?

Speaker 2 (08:06):
They applauded. When you walk in, they all stood up.
All this croom's quite the whole time. But then they
take his can.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
I just yes, you were hugely instrumental in how great
this series was. Like it's such a massive part of
it that really great.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
And if you could hear that.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Fraction of that energy and creativity to the backup.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
So I'm talking so much. I'm just so excited to
talk to you because I've been holding all.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
This year since you dimber nothing a little bit.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
A little bit here and there, nothing, no breach.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Take Beck and I into this room, and the room
is as follows. Coke, wine, water, soda waters, Tim tams, savory, savory, biscuits,
thread dip. It was something cheese, cheesus and we were
this is the freakiest part. We were so hungry.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Yeah, we couldn't yet.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Yeah, because the adrenaline is pumping got the emotions are high.
So we had a little bit of a snack. Then
you could do this.

Speaker 3 (09:14):
What hang on? What was the first thing?

Speaker 2 (09:17):
You went sweet? Straight to the tim.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Time and what did Beck have?

Speaker 2 (09:22):
I don't remember.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
I was.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
I was just.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Smashing the tim Tams. Then then I went savory, then
I went cheese. Then you have the psych interview, like,
calm your brain.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Still no Cody, Still.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
No Cody, this is this is my husband.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
What did the say, by the way, the like was
you just.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Chat about your time, you reflect on it. They bring
up moments that they think might make the cut in
the edit that might not be that easy to watch.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
They talked to you about with yours Danny, big chat
about Danny.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
They're there for you. Was thes a man or a
woman who was a man, and they're therefore from maths.
They got the mathsic in did they.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
Get that hot Argentinian in no neckan No.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
So we go back to the hotel and I walk
into the I'm still in my outfit. I've still got
my disgusting T shirt on my pants, I've still got
everything on. Don't shower you nothing. They are not faffing about.
I walk into the hotel restaurant because it's now like
ten o'clock at night. George Columbarius is there with his family.
Amazing because we all spoke about each other so much

(10:30):
that we knew everything that you could put the wife
and kids. I look over there, Sorel with her husband
in there and the son who spoke run over to them.
Beck's family there, run over of a Beck. There's Gary
Sweet's two young boys. Oh my god. There's Luke's mum,
there's Conchetta's mums. There's emotions. I'm running around to everyone.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
I'm hungry.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
I'm like, what where's Cody. He's in bed?

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Oh, because he's gone to bed early because he has
to be at seven o'clock.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
He went to bed. I hadn't seen this man for
the longest time we have ever gone without talking. We're
just seeing. We hadn't spoken in like twenty five or
twenty So it's funny when you said that we had
not spoken. You saw the letter from home and how
emotion lay got.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
Yeah, he's what He's gone to bed, And.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
The guy was like, yeah, sorry, he's the only one
that also said no to going on the big like
tour that they all went on to see all the animals.
He went to bed.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
He went to bed. So you had to go up
to the room. You probably didn't even have a pass
to the room.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Go get a key in my full jungle outfit walking down.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
What's the hotel like? So good? Stunning?

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Oh my god, Yes, unbelievable, unbelievable accommodation. One of those
ones where the animals walk up to the room. His
giraffe right there.

Speaker 6 (11:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
I made friends with the family of from Lianking with
the'll tee you again them before I went in visiting
me every day, really, I go into my room, open
the door, I creak walk all he's snoring. I'm happily Cody,
and he.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Goes, what what this is our big reunion?

Speaker 2 (12:21):
And then it was all on and it was very emotionally,
very lovely.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
But did he know you were getting out that night?

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Yeah? He had known, Yeah, very quickly. Tell me if
I'm talking too much. I'm so excited to tell you
all this. He gets a call. He gets a call
from a producer and says, hey, there's a chance Nathan's
going to be in the Final three, so we have
to get you over here. And he was like sorry.
He goes, how's this happening? They said, oh, there's an

(12:49):
elimination trials and challenges and he's like, are these physical right?

Speaker 3 (12:53):
Yeah, he would get missed a.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Fun flies to Perth. Lands in Perth, gets on the
phone to the producer. He's saved this day. Me has
gone home, So flies to joe Burg, gets to joe
Burg producer again, so Ral's gone home. Not Nathan. He's
still in there. Fully fuck because his worst fear is.

Speaker 3 (13:13):
Yeah, that he on TV, which is for the final two.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
The final three. They get big family reunion, flies to
the Little Planet, takes us all the way out to
the jungle in Lands. They come up and say, I've
got we've got some sad news. Beck and Naith have
been eliminated and he hasn't made it to the final three.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
He was so happy, he's so he goes, I'll go
straight to the hotel and go.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
To bed, straight to bed. And then we obviously had
our reunion. Then it was very sweet. He told me
that I looked like a prisoner of war.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Yeah you did. You were so skin as gross.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
It was actually so.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Skinny, and especially with you're a.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
Kubra kuber hat. And then he joined everyone and then
oh did he get out of bed, had a big
reunion dinner with everyone. Yes, And then what did you
while I had a steak?

Speaker 3 (14:05):
Yeah, yeah, you would have to would have been too
too rich.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
And then the big final what you what you fantasize
about the whole time you're in there, everybody is a bed.
And finally, I mean and I lie down inside and
I don't know what it's like late now, but I'm
lying there. I'm in a bed roof and because it
was wet seas it this huge storm every night, the

(14:32):
storm here and like that sounds amazing the crane and roof.
Cody is asleep. I'm like, Wow, I've done it. I've
lasted and it's over.

Speaker 6 (14:43):
And then.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Drip on my forehead. Then drip on the forehead. I
was like, what is going on? I look up. The
roof is leaking and it starts to leak more and more,
all on mice side of the bed. No, I have
to wake Cody up. Cody, the roof leaking. He doesn't

(15:06):
get a ship.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
He's sleepy, he's dry.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
He has to get up. We have to go to reception.
Oh no, they've all gone home for the night.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
Of course they.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Cody and I have to push a bed to the
other side of the room to get away from the leak.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
So you just have to stay in the leaking night
one out of the jungle.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Pushed the bed over to the other wall. We have
a night sleep. We get up the next day. I
go to the toilet on a proper toilet for the
first time in a month. I flushed the toilet.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
It doesn't work.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
It comes back up, keeps going, going, over and going,
and the entire toilet and bathroom started slooding. We had
to run and get staff. I wasn't clean water. We
had to get towels, put them against like doors. Too,
and then and then they just have to take all
of our stuff out of the Oh my, because this

(16:00):
big final day.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Do you know what, that's a message from the universe.
What you can go camping?

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Really, that was a message saying you might be done
with the bush, but the bush ain't done with you.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Speaking of bush.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
Oh yes, what, Oh it's a man. Well look before
we call, we call Luke, before we call the man
in the bush. I just want to say this because
we're gonna call Luke now and wrap it up. The
finale is on Sunday. Yes, I do love. Those three
people were very amazing to me in there. I had
a very lovely time. The connection Chat and I now

(16:36):
have is so deep and so real and incredible.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
What a beautiful girl.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Luke has just become a friend for life. Love, And
I know Gary and Luke will not have any issue
with me saying this. Vote for Chat please, Oh lovely Chat. Yes,
one of the most incredible people. I'm getting emotional now.
Chet's got a Jet has a story. A lot of

(17:05):
it didn't make the air.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
No because it was too hard. Yeah, it was too hard.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
But Chet has a story to tell, and I'm very
proud of her, and I would I think it's also
time just for a queen, a jungle queen.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
Well, a queen would say that.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
A queen would say that. But I also, of course
I'm not going to be unhappy.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
I no number, but well do you know what? All right,
we're going to vote chet. Let's call Luke and see
what he makes.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
Luke and save his number.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
I could make some money with his number, couldn't I.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
If you record your name and calling, did you just
screen me?

Speaker 4 (17:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (17:47):
He's screening us. Hello. My name is Kate and I'm
here with.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
A fellow called Nate, and our reason for calling is
we love you.

Speaker 6 (17:56):
Oh, it just.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Got done by you're kidding? Could you? Can you hear
Luke the screening?

Speaker 2 (18:06):
No, that was his voicemail. Waits, look hang on, is
this you or your voicemail?

Speaker 4 (18:12):
No, it's me.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
My oh m G.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
So you can listen when people are calling you.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
You know what's happened there?

Speaker 5 (18:23):
That that's me, that's the security guards come up. When
it doesn't know the number, it's send you straight to voice.

Speaker 3 (18:30):
Oh doesn't Luke?

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Who do you think you are?

Speaker 3 (18:34):
We know who he is?

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Do you think you?

Speaker 6 (18:36):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (18:37):
All right?

Speaker 2 (18:37):
You study books on TikTok, and now you need.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
A tractor and you can't provide your own security, a
big strong man.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
Like you with the gigantic bubble butt that picked up
all the stars to get you into the finale magnetic.

Speaker 5 (18:56):
Yes, yes, the bubble but I think I think it
always helped out a little bit by my weight.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Yeah, but you've got a fine rump.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
But yeah, well, don't fat shame you please.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
Oh no, fine rump. I didn't say marbles.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Now listen, you know question without notice of the percentage
of calls that you get that you have to screen,
what percentage are from lies?

Speaker 5 (19:30):
Most of them to be fair valvo.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Yeah, so one from a lady.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
Excuse me, Luke, No.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
One really, no one really rings me.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Actually, well people don't ring anymore.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
That's true, that they'd be they'd be absolutely thigh deep.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
In your d MS.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
Yeah yeah, yeah, all right, we're so intrigued by you.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
First of all, I've got to ask you.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Oh here we go, Luke.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
So when you and Check were waiting at the camp
site and you knew that only one was returning mm hmm,
And when Gary Sweet was triumphant and you knew that
it meant that Beck had fallen by the wayside, and
so had our beautiful Valvo.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
How was that moment? Be honest?

Speaker 5 (20:34):
Now, I could be could be completely honest, and and
and and.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
This is a very truth. I actually really just wanted
to see Check come back.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Well, this is my friend, Luke.

Speaker 5 (20:50):
Everyone out of everyone who were there, and I loved
all of them.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
Of course.

Speaker 6 (20:55):
Yeah, yeah, long as.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
Check comes you know, as long as Check comes back.
I really don't one who is.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Shut up, Luke. Shut but that face. I am here
to bring you down a few pegs.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
I really like that, Luke. Okay, what did you.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
Call me every day in the jungle? Luh the future missus, Luke,
I said. One of the first things we bonded over
very early. Luke was one of the first people. When
you go into this place, Luke, You'll agree, I know,
you know this. It's you're so overwhelmed and you're scanning
the room and there's thirty new people. Luke was one

(21:30):
of the first where I could tell, oh, this is
one of the good ones. Yeah, the normal ones.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
What did he think of you?

Speaker 2 (21:37):
Yeah, Luke, what did you think? What did you think?

Speaker 4 (21:41):
As soon as I met Nate on the Red carpet.
When he walked down. We were in the.

Speaker 5 (21:45):
Same entry group and immediately you walk in, I knew
straight away.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
I was like, I like it.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Yeah, I love it.

Speaker 6 (21:52):
That's nice.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Now you know the joke that the joke that we
came up with. The joke we came up with was
because it's from Queensland and rail player, once a day.
He could call me.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
Only once a day, Louke, only once a day. I
spend your quota. I spend your quota.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Hourly in here.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
I'm not that.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
Oh no, we won't. We won't.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
It'll be beat.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
We'll beep it out your pussy.

Speaker 4 (22:23):
It's fantastic. But what you one nate to let me
say it? Once a day?

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Yes? When did you?

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Did you choose when you got to spend it? Or
did it just involuntarily pop out?

Speaker 4 (22:37):
Well?

Speaker 5 (22:38):
Sometimes Cadi was set in anger. Oh really, sometimes I'm joking.

Speaker 4 (22:46):
I'm joking. No, I did. I tried to.

Speaker 5 (22:49):
I tried to plan strategically when I'm getting used because
you couldn't use it first thing in the morning. No, no, no, no,
you save it up.

Speaker 4 (22:56):
You had to make it.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yeah, it's it's all. When I met you on day one,
I knew he'll be in the final.

Speaker 3 (23:04):
Yes, yes, yes, that's true.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
Luke's going to be in the final.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
Do you know you have a quality about you, Luke?

Speaker 1 (23:12):
That is and it's generally bestowed upon men that you
are very because I think they're less complex, right for
people to process, But you are very lovable, just very lovable.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
There's something about you.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
And plus also you know you've got the you've got
the optional extras, the added extras, You've got your capable,
you knew how to make the fire.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
You're just manly.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
You've got a fine rumpy like it was very good
but also very lovely and solid and something honorable about you.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Oh, thank you, Kay, I really appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
Yeah, well, I hope you haven't conduct mate, because.

Speaker 2 (23:56):
I actually disagree and I have as of things that
I hate about Luke. Luke is a real deal. And
now we can even tell people things that we've kept seeking.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
Tell us, tell us.

Speaker 2 (24:07):
That Luke came over to my house Christmas Day and
had dinner with Cody and I.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
At Christmas, I did actually, yeah, I flew.

Speaker 5 (24:15):
I flew to Melbourne on Christmas Day and Nate had
me over and he fed me like a true Italian.

Speaker 4 (24:22):
Oh yeah, I rolled out of the joint.

Speaker 5 (24:24):
Oh yeah, and he.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
Made I didn't make it. I didn't make it. We
stole it all from my family.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
Oh yeah, perfect.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
And because the show hadn't even started yet, and so
I'm saying to my family, oh, I've got to make
a plate for this person that you doesn't you don't
know exists.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
That he can't of course, he couldn't divulge anything. And
my homeless farmer.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Yeah, my mother's like, who is this person? Does he want?
Tira Massou? Who is he does he want? And so
we made a gigantic plate for Luke.

Speaker 1 (24:52):
But hey, Luke, where in the country are you? You
said you flew in You're like a mystery man. What
what part are you in? Victorian New South Wales?

Speaker 5 (25:02):
No, w A, I'm in western Queensland. Yeah, so a
mountain near charl The dry, the dry, It's it's quite
boggie at the moment.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
Jane Harper will have to rewrite that book.

Speaker 4 (25:23):
Yeah, so we've had about five inches in the past week.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Well really so is valveo?

Speaker 5 (25:28):
Excuse me, I'm sitting in front of the caravan right now, the.

Speaker 6 (25:33):
Caravan, No, the barbecue caravan.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
I imagine there'd be some gorgeous homestead with wisteria hanging
from the No.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
No, I'm I'm in a caravan.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
Okay, all right, well that rules you out for farmer
wants a wife, not a farmer.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
Actually a logging contractor.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
All right, bit of man's blaming from potential jungle king. There.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
I love it. A logging contractor.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
I mean, why don't you tell Kate what you told
us in the camp that day, what you do when
you're out there in the in the woods alone?

Speaker 3 (26:13):
Oh goodness, tell us go on?

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Why why Australia is voting right now?

Speaker 5 (26:20):
Well, okay, you know when you're working in the buster,
there's no amen, you know.

Speaker 6 (26:26):
Yes, yes, you have to find a nice log to
yes yourself?

Speaker 3 (26:31):
Yeah right, well hang on to we on to log
on the log? Right, okay? Do you log on a log?

Speaker 6 (26:38):
That's weird.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
You spent so much time explaining the perfect log to
log on.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
Why would you log on a log and not log
in a hole? You monster?

Speaker 4 (26:48):
No, No, you sit down on the log and you.

Speaker 6 (26:51):
And you and you, oh and you.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
So you're making a you're making your own portoloo. Yes,
oh yeah, okay, I love I'm on board with that.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
We better speak about the show.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
Shut up, Luke, to vote for me after that?

Speaker 3 (27:07):
Oh no, we went down with what it had to happen.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
Even though ninety percent of the population of this country
cling to the fringes and are scared of the dark
heart that you walk through unperturbed, knocking down trees with
your bare arms. We're down with what happens in the bush.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
All right, Luke, we have to go in a minute.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
And I got to ask more question.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
I was going to talk about the show that you know, yeah, talking.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
In this show, but I want to ask about a
particular moment.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Please do.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
When check came back from her challenge, we're on the
jett again. Well, no, because you know, the camera doesn't lie.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
And even though there's edits or whatever, I felt like
as a viewer, I haven't even had this conversation with Valvot.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
I felt like there.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
Was something lovely between you and when she came back
and she was so happy to see you and you
her and she jumped into your arms and she wrapped
her legs.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
Around your face.

Speaker 6 (28:09):
Yeah, you talked to me about that moment, Luke, WHOA.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
Okay, that was one of the most wonderful moments of
my life of pure joy.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
Oh it was gorgeous.

Speaker 4 (28:22):
Too, moment that two friends really just got to enjoy
a once in a lifetime moment together.

Speaker 3 (28:29):
Okay, Luke in the African jungle, Luke, I've.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Got lots of male friends, and I'm not jumping up
them like a squirrel and wrapping my legs around their base.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
Well, it's not my fault that your friendships are shallow.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
Yours is so deep.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
There's that suss there's ALUs that he hides from.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
People can't getting it was, it was, there.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
Was you you know, I've spoken about it on this
pod and many times. Luke there, you know how close
I was to quitting in that first few days with
everything that was going down. Oh we can say Denny, Denny.
And if it wasn't for Chet, and if it wasn't
for Luke, I would have walked. And so I have
you to thank Luke for being there for me in there.

(29:18):
And then after that moment when we all just started
having the time of our life. What a thrill to
be the third wheel to.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
The so there was So you were the third wheel, Kate.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
If you're seeing footage of this, what do you think
about this guy that was there twenty four to seven
with these people I was watching that they cut so
much stuff out of like what tell us me going
to the toki every day, gossiping about cheer and giving
my chips.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
But also because it feels to me like you were
the banana in a banana split, Luke, because there's also
the lovely Maya for Vola.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Here we go, let's get the click.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so made a beautiful and wonderful girl
and person as well.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
He's stunning, Luke.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
Before I let you go on, what do Luke's thoughts
about Oh he just gave them. Oh, okay, you got more,
all right, go.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
My thoughts about Maya.

Speaker 6 (30:16):
Yeah, she's wonderful.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
I think is an absolute delight.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
All right.

Speaker 6 (30:20):
My final question, you're what?

Speaker 2 (30:23):
To her?

Speaker 3 (30:24):
You're what?

Speaker 6 (30:25):
What?

Speaker 4 (30:26):
I will remain friendly for the rest of my life.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
I love it, okay, Luke. Final question. Yeah, there's two lakes.
Mia is drowning and can Cheteau is drowning in the
other lake.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
I will interrupt and save Luke here, don't save He's got.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
To save one of the girls.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
You can only save one, Luke, you can only save one. Hello,
Here he's thinking he's cogitating.

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Well, I think either way, I go. This is a
lose lose situation.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
Yes it is. Life is like that sometimes, Luke.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
I'm going to have to go with my lovely.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Oh wow, oh your lovely concerto.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
I do adore her.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
What a thrill to do this show, Luke. What a
thrill that you are now a friend in my life.
I'm absolutely stoked that we've become friends because of this
and one of us, Yeah, you know what, shut up?
Stop sending me first tracks.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Of course, not not on the log, No, not on
the log.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
But mate, how's your shower first trap that you sent
the other week? I'm all right, mate, meant for chat,
by the way, maybe for I.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
Think someone got wrong person.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
You forgot that it was the chat with the three
of us in third Wheel.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
Interesting anyway, Luke, I would like to say this to
you very often, and reality TV has trained us for
these to assume that people who are on reality TV
are not going to be particularly nourishing people.

Speaker 3 (32:32):
Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (32:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (32:34):
Absolutely, you are not that person.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
You're just delightful and thank you for being such a
beautiful friend to our Nate.

Speaker 5 (32:43):
Oh no, thank you very much for the crime words
k probably be underserving that, but I just want to
say the UK before we go.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
Oh yeah, Nate spoke about you very often in the jungle.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
I did.

Speaker 5 (32:55):
I was struggling to put two and two together, and
then as soon as I came out and saw foetal
of you, I said straight to Nate, I said, I
know exactly who Kate Langbrook is, and she is wonderful.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
I love her very much.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
So that's all true.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
Okay, So Luke, final question. There are three lags.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
Hey, good luck on, good luck on Sunday looking Oh yeah,
might end up King of the Jungle, my friend.

Speaker 3 (33:26):
I think he might, you know, I think he will.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
I don't know how it all go.

Speaker 7 (33:34):
I would really really love to see Conchett to win
because I know, just like her charity, what she's been
through in her life, and I truly do believe that,
you know, she's very deserving of the title, and so
was Gary as well.

Speaker 6 (33:51):
But yeah, I Gary. I'd love to see Gary.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
So I mean, not in the scheme of things, not
in that I love Gary. He's had a good crack,
good man Gary the marrow out of the bones of
this country, and good on him and contributed a lot.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
But now it's time for Conchetta or Luke.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
Wow my prediction, and I'll be very apologetic if Gary
goes on to win and we have to interview him.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
Bye bye, love you bye. About a bad, bad, bad,
a bad a jungle romance. About that bad.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Cut out so much of my shits during I was
in that TOCKI the diary room. I went in there
so often to like report back on chair, you know what.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
They probably weren't even recording. After a while they were like, oh,
here he go.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
I'd be like, did you see this today?

Speaker 1 (34:43):
Oh my goodness, he loves her chat, Yeah, he loves her.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Look I look as the official third wheel. Yeah, I
really And I will be honest with our buckheads an exclusive.
I can't figure it out.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
What do you mean?

Speaker 2 (34:59):
I'm lost with I'm lost with Jet, I'm lost with
Luke and them two together and feelings and friendship, and
I'm lost. Normally, I have a little insight in my
go I have.

Speaker 1 (35:07):
A bit of a this is it because they're not
clear themselves. Are they not in a position to don't?

Speaker 2 (35:13):
I would say this right now that we're out of
the even watching stuff that I went through even with
any and other things, non romantic feelings. It's not a
very real place to base emotion and jeeling on. It's
too unreal of a situation to know if anything's real
or not.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
But I met my husband on an intrepid tour. It
was not dissimilar, and that's proven to be.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
It's true. I've just said this. I've just noticed something
as I speak out loud to you, I've just noticed
that the friendships I have with a few of them
are so genuine and real. I'm like, maybe I should
shut my mouth because you sure, maybe I'm wrong here.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Like, I mean, you probably wouldn't propose to someone in there,
but your feelings are very valid. They're just like accentuated
by time, deprivation of any outside stimulus, and also the
fact that you're it's it's the pressure cooker, as people
always say, you're in there, it's a period of intensity.
You have made friendships that in real life would have

(36:12):
played out over years.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
True.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
I love them, and I love Conchetta, and I love
her beautiful like nineteen thirty's face. She's exquisite beautiful nineteen.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Forty and it all, it all goes down Sunday, we're
all going. Luke's not but the rest of us were
having a big viewing party in Sydney at George Columbarus's hotel.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Oh what to call thotel?

Speaker 2 (36:36):
I can't remember, but we'll all be there and it's
we as everyone knows by now. The big secret we filmed, yes,
all three of them winning, so that was a long day.
But we filmed three endings.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
Right, and then how do they discide.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
By audience votes?

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Now?

Speaker 3 (36:53):
So we still get to post.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
So they have all three of them winning sitting there
and they watch the votes and then they just shoot
it off.

Speaker 1 (37:01):
The winner was going to be there because I wanted
to legs around his waist. Who knows, guys love it anyway,
Well done, Well done, Luke, and well done you Valvo.
It's over, the journey's over.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
It's over. You were a magnificent I'm so happy.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
I've never been so stressed watching someone do a jigsaw puzzle.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Thank you same and I was doing the

Speaker 3 (37:24):
Well you weren't
