Speaker 3 (01:57):

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Anyway, when we were walking there, there is a little
shopping street, huh, and there were all these young girls
there and I was explaining to my husband about Glassons
and how all the girls go to Glassons for their basics, right,
And I said to Peter, when people are talking about,
you know, bricks and mortar going, some of them just aren't.
Some of them are doing better than EVA, right. And

(02:24):
then Peter said, oh, those clothes are all really I said, yeah,
they're basics. He goes, yeah, but they're not sort of fun.
I said no, no, I said, look around. Look at
how all the girls are dressed. You know, we've said it.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Before on this podcast. Everybody dresses like they're depressed. Head
white breadg like everyone.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
Okay, believe me, I spend all my life in elasticized waist.
There's no need when you're nineteen and hot as hate,
get out.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Of what's just call it that shop glasses. Get out
of glassons. Cheer up, got the future ahead of you.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Maybe not dressed like that, no matter when they go,
and they were coming the oversized hoodies. We love oversized. Yeah,

started with a few of the famous girlies.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
The pop girl he's doing an anti you won't look
at my curves because I'm gonna wear a bag of jump.
But you know what, billylish all good, well done.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Good cause.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
But now yah, it's gone too far, too far.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
And also do people have a shoe that's not soft? Sold?
Have they got a heel? I don't even mean a
high heel, they got a sole? Mad just get in
a heel walking down. He's trying to go to Yum
char and you ruined a vibe with your moccos I
just don't like it for them.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
I just don't like it for them all for us,
get out of the gray?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Can't we all anyway?

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Buck up?

Speaker 2 (03:52):
This was how I was before Yum chart.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
But I was speaking.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
I was like, everybody's so beautiful. We love yum chow.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Oh, it was just you know, right now, I'm full
suited up, I have a suit on, I have a
time a play like.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
A twelve year old boy in Italian wedding.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
That's an odd compliment. Yes, Kate Laine Brook, you're in
a blazer. Yes, you're looking sharp and looking fresh hat suits.
Because we said to each other, let's stress up a bit,
let's look a bit spunky for this app.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Yes we did, Kate, take it away.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Memo.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Well, yeah, someone's come straight from the golf course.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Okay, Sasha Frene, greatest producer in the land. Thirty six holes,
thirty six holes.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Too many holes, by the way.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
That's a lovely lesbian. Oh no, a golfer.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Well, thirty six holes too many.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Don't forget the nineteenth hole as well.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Oh hello hole, what no wonder you were late? We
arrived at the same time. That's that's rare. You're right, Kate,
take it away while we're suited.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
Up celebrating, because this little podcast, little pod that could,
the little pod that they said couldn't, No, they did.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
In fact, it's amazing taken as long as it has actually.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
However, this little podcast, the buck up that comes with
a money back guarantee that no matter how you feel
at the start of it, at the end you clothes
you're wearing correct, Suddenly it'll be like a fairy godmother
waved a wand over you and you're going to the
ball of life.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
How stunning. What have we done on this little podcast?

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Pod has hit one million downloads?

Speaker 4 (05:43):
Say one million? That's a buck It's such opposite to
like comfortable clothing and gray hoodies.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
It's the opposite of that.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
We're in such uncomfortable, restrictive clothing looking gray.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Heels on heels on underneath.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Of course I'm totally spank spanked up.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
But what can we say.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Yes, that's a big number. It's a big weekly pod
to hit that in two years.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
We're very we're really.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Proud of ourselves in this room.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Someone sent a message the other day b team my mate.
He said he was in Woolworth and he heard an
ad for the buck up in worst because he's got
he gets the rewards. He obsessed with it like everything
that he buys his Macro if you pop up just

(06:39):
he wants the woolies and quantus. I don't know what
you know, how those points masters are, but he heard
nad for us.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
How is that you're paying for it?

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Someone is? We love it?

Speaker 4 (06:53):
That's just awesome.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
That's just thank you, thank you for getting behind it listening.
It's so lovely. As a comedian, Kate, it's a very
it's a comedian. Thanks, that's what Australia's favorite comedian.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
Yes, yes, who's still funny. Oh and hasn't departed into
doing online rants.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
We love you, We love you, Hugh, we love you you.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
But's mate, it's a lot. I called him on the
way to the airport on the weekend. I had a
miscall from him and I called him back and Peter
could hear him ranting and going on the phone what
oh yeah, he could hear and crackling through the phone
and he was saying Peter was saying because his son
is working at a stupermarket and Peter saw him there

(07:41):
that morning and he said, just out of interest. If
I don't scan things properly will happen. There won't be
any blowback on raff.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
We'll wear and he goes, may just steal anything. The
country is run by feed just steal. No one gets funnished.
No one goes to just take what you want. Go
in there, take a trolley full leave and say, so
that's that's literally.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
How what's happened to Hughes?

Speaker 2 (08:05):
I kind of laugh, but I'm also like, I can't see.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
I'm not skipping any of those videos.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
You know, sometimes you can't see a destination. Unleast he
goes into politics.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
You're going to hear it here on the buck up,
hughesy will run for politics?

Speaker 2 (08:18):
Do you, reckon?

Speaker 3 (08:19):
Will have something about this David Hughes in our life,
this very talented funny man who's been very kind to
me for many years. There's there's something about him where
everything gets to a point where it's like a tipping point.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Yes, and then he goes over onto the next level.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
For this one, it has to be that he officially
runs by.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
The way video game, isn't it?

Speaker 4 (08:39):
I don't, I don't.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
It's it's odd, but I reckon, I stop, I can.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
I came to but who for? Like who the hughsybody?

Speaker 4 (08:54):
And now his name is popping up in unrelated like
conversations about political but where it's nothing to do with him,
and people say things like you sound that that right
wing nap job Dave Hughes or even he's his left
his lib tad ways.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
And he's now like so, but he's just cutting through
in the comments anyway. Here we love him one million,
one million.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
I hadn't finished my thought there sorry. As one of
Australia's most beloved comedians.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
That's right, that's really there, and you stand.

Speaker 3 (09:28):
Up comedy is a thing that people enjoy. People come
to your shows and it's just a it's a in
the first way possible.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
You just like it's just whatever, forgettable, not a forgettable, but.

Speaker 4 (09:39):
Show whatever. Yeah, when you meet a buckhead, when you
meet a buck.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
It is a different I'm not used to it. It
is a different level of nice and appreciation and it's
genuinely very lovely and I don't know what to do
with it. You're a lot better with it, well, I well,
because you know what it is.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
It means that you know, you know how people.

Speaker 5 (10:00):
I feel like I know you well, they do know you,
but also you know them because you know them, because
you know this is not a taste for everybody.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
This is not a you know, this is not brawl.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
That's my husband.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Dabbler, but you know what I mean.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
So you automatically understand something about the point of view
and the view view of the world that the person
that you're talking to has, and so you do you
know each other. So we live in a world now
with a million of us where we can just turn
to each other when we need each other. It's not
eleven million individual downloads.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
You can just you don't need to. And it was
one million. Calm down, you said, eleven eleven eleven million downloads. Yeah,
no one, but what a lovely day just brought us down?

Speaker 3 (10:50):
No sorry, ten millions to god, ten millions.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Imagine that party anyway, it was stunning and in fact,
flying into Adelaide Airport so very shabby shanks today.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
You don't look it, but I've had a restorative youm
chart with my husband. I don't want to buck. I
don't want to yack your arm, even though it's my
new thing. Young Char.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
I think you Char is slightly overrated.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Well it depends.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
I think it's because I've had bad yum Char, what
is bad? I was like, what did you get?

Speaker 1 (11:24):
You know?

Speaker 2 (11:24):
I think I turn order the plates with the tripe
and stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
I think it was too early in the day to
go as hard as.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
I've gone eleven, first session eleven eleven.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
One three give me your top three yarm chars go
as in what you get your order always are hardgal
the prawn dumpling. Okay, that's just for old time's sake. Yep,
football a fried football? What's that?

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Literally it's some glutionous thing but shaped like a football.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
And in fact, at the young Chart place today they
actually just called them football.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
They called them wife about delicious fry. I like a
fried thing. Oh what's my third one?

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Tentacles tentaclescles Oh, I love that tops three folks love also.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
I okay, keep going, And they didn't have them today.

Speaker 4 (12:15):
You know those long steamed things stash that have either
got a noodle.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
It's a big fat white prawn and that liquid yes
on the top, may too. I love that too.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
I've got to put that and you're going to you
can text me the young try to go to We
just need to go to a very good one.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
This morning, we just went to one because it was
the closest, literally and a lot of them weren't open.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
But we had to have it.

Speaker 4 (12:40):
And I was stunning, and you had it, and we
had to have it because we had a weekend of debauchery,
the greatest debaucher for a million downloads, for a million
downloads down at Adelaide, in Adelaide, at a friend's dad's farm.
That's that is.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
That is a very complicated and it's just to say
you talk drugs so.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Well they were.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
There were mushrooms grub. Of course there was not the
mushroom lady, Oh no, not that, but there was. You know,
she's cracked at what do you mean, she's cracked it for.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
Fort mint for mentions in the comments of course. Oh yeah,
you can't have a mushroom now anywhere without someone.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
I live their life and just have a mushroom.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
We picked a purple mushroom.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
Get nervous. This story makes me nervous already.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Well, no, we didn't need it. Okay, the ones we
re eating were drug.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
Because it's mushroom time. It's they're everywhere. I'm very nervous.
On the dog walk, I don't know what.

Speaker 4 (13:42):
The dog can't eat them.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Parent that's a very good point, but I just told
me that on the weekend, I.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
Often get nervous because she gets into her Yeah, they
sniff and there's a very odd.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
Looking bunch of mushies in my area, so I'll just
leave them for now. But part of me thinks, remember
years ago I met those lesbians who are on all
at the local park picking mushies with their little sandwich bags.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Someone's always got the knowledge.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
And some Yeah, the lesbian on all fours turned around
and said, hey, you're that guy that's a comedian, and
then she proceeded to tell them that they make a bit.

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Of coin every year from the mushies. From the mushies
in the local park.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Well, you know what, I think it's I know, but
I think it's been around for thousands of years.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
Mushroom people people have been taking mush famously took mushrooms,
so they so.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
The knowledge must get passed on.

Speaker 4 (14:30):
Through lesbians, through lesbians, through lesbians or wizards. You know,
everyone's everyone's got a If you've got a friendship group
with some hippies in it, they'll be a wizard.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
I always people talk about like farm to table, all
that sort of things about food, nose to I would
like the I would like to know how how the
mushroom industry operates. So the mushrooms that you can take
to have a nice weekend, where do they come from?

Speaker 4 (14:54):
Who gets them.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
I would like to know, hang on the ones you
take the medicinal mushroom.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
People taking up music festivals?

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Yeah, is there? Is it legally?

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Farm the people got in the backyard.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
No, No, it's not. She's coming from maybe some maybe overseas.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
They are like in Bali you can get a bang
lassie or no, in Thailand you can get a bang
lassie that's got mushies in it.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
The government is the government listening?

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Wasn't Why didn't the government get behind actually growing mushies
like this and just selling it? Didn't make it?

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Yeah, but why don't they Why don't they with cigarettes?
Why don't they do you know what I mean? Like,
why don't they with weight?

Speaker 4 (15:31):
She's right, That's what everyone says about the government getting
involved is it cuts out the illegality of it.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
But when the government gets involved and make a mess
of everything, don't get on the line.

Speaker 3 (15:47):
So, okay, you're in a farm, your friend's someone's husband's
boyfriend's girlfriend's farm. Good start.

Speaker 4 (15:53):
So it just started where a friend of ours was saying,
we're going to Adelaide to this farm for the weekend.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
Why don't you cold?

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Okay, funny you mentioned that it was so cold, and
my girlfriend Georgia.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
Who lives in Adelaide, said, it has been uncharacteristically wet,
torrench your rain and freezing. And when we arrived, which
was probably at like, it was dark, and the farm
was like an hour and a halfway from the airport,
and we had to wait for some other friends who
were flying in from Byron Bay, and then we had
to go have some chicken wings and yes, to the

(16:28):
point that when we got down to the luggage carousel
there were just two cases going.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
To wonder how long they wait?

Speaker 4 (16:34):
Yea, so did we so an hour and twenty minutes.
So we're still just going around. Fine, how fun for
them anyway, having a good night. We got to the
farm and of course there were so many people. Then
people had come from everywhere. Bonfire, bonfire in the paddock,
the next where are you staying? Okay, this is a
good question. So they had said to us, bring camping

(16:57):
stuff and we come out. I'm out of it, done
camping stuff. But yet I sort of had faith because
these people. I didn't know everyone there, but the people
that did know me sort of know my limitations. And
these two gorgeous twins, they're the king boys, the kings,
I call them, and they sort of do a lot

(17:17):
of setting up of stuff like they're amazing, do you
know what I mean? They could build a fire and
they can do anything anyway. They can't stay sober. Aside
from that, they can do anything, so as they build first.
But when they saw me, they were and I was
so happy to see them. I think something in them
knew that I couldn't sleep in the tent that they
had rigged up next to a shearing sheep.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
Even the word rigged, I'm out and it were making
and then you use the word rigged, I'm out.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
All right, bye bye.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
We had a sleeping bag in our suitcase and a pillow.
But then they went, oh no, there's no need, We've
got lots of swag. It just gets worse.

Speaker 3 (17:55):
I'm getting jungle PTSD right now.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
But then at some point Peter dragged my suitcase down
from the car, all the way down the heels a
good man. It was in the dark, and and the
the on the dirt. Yeah, the wheels on the dirt
and a torch. But they were so intent on seeing
where they were going. I'm stumbling in the dark behind them.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
So hard to being carried by someone else, the real
victim in that moment.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Anyway, we got down there and then I went, I
sort of went, I'll leave them to it.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
I went back to the house. I was having a
drinks saying hello, and then one of the girls they said,
oh no, we found a room for you, and I
was like a buck and you know what this is?

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Done?

Speaker 4 (18:38):
A room?

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Well no, it was like the study. But they're just
taken a swag.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Inside and it's inside and put it in the study.
Years ago I did the Falls Festival.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Tasmania. There were three went.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
That's what back in the day, folks, you did all
of them as a performer. So you did morn Thursday,
drive into the airport, flight up to Byron, then you
do the Byron Bay Falls the next day and finish
fly down to Tazzi and then do the third day
there and then sometimes you also then flew to Perth
and did they did the other one in Perth.

Speaker 4 (19:13):
It wasn't.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
That week that year I did. It was with Ronnie Chang.

Speaker 4 (19:18):
He kind of moved on to.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Didn't he an Amos girl. Amos was fine, it's from Adelaide.
Didn't want a bar of artists camping. We found a
box office, which is just all of those portable shads.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
Oh, of course, so I just need walls.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
This was it was sub zero.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
You know, Adelaide is cold at night, even in fair
when you do the fringe. Once the sun goes down,
you're in the garden hanging out after a show.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Cold, okay, seb I said to Peter.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
I came out and he was just still foofing around
in the dark with king, with one of the kings,
and I said, guess what, darlas, guess what.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
They've They've found a room for us inside. And Peter went,
but I've just taken your suitcase all the shut up, Pete,
I've got a room. I've got a room, Pete. You
know what he said.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
The next morning made he didn't come to bed till
the next morning he goes, oh, it would have been
fun to sleep out there. And I was in the
house in the swag in the room and I was cold. Yeah,
took me ages to fall asleep, so how it would
have been outside anyway? It was a stunning, stunning, stunning.

(20:44):
You're going to be so good on the mountain, you
know what I learned.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
You're going to be so good on the mountain. As
long as there's a room.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
There is a room.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
Camping on the mountain, we stay at home stays with
Nepalese people, and apparently.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
We eat lots of mammals.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
So you go up and in a day, no, no,
along the way you start different with different different people's.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
House Airbnb checking rules on a mountain.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
Yeah, well, you know there's whenever you're in a third
world country, a lot of people do a homestay to
make some extra money.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
So you're inside technically, technically, but their hearts and stuff.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
I think I think they're humble dwellings. Why not, there
are humble people. The only thing exalted about them is
the altitude at which they live. Oh, what a bucket
you actually what?

Speaker 2 (21:30):
It was the greatest.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
I'm very happy you've had a big weekend.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Yes, I learned one thing.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
You know how I've been doing this exercise and trying
to restrict Okay, partly I had such a great weekend
because I did not restrict anything.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
No, you didn't anything. Hilarious, Hello, and you were alone.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
But my goodness, I've got some stamina on the dance
floor from my working out, from my boot camp and
my yoga six day a week regiment. We love this.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
I was like, I couldn't stop dance staring it up.

Speaker 4 (22:07):
I think it's got something to do with some of
the things that may have been consumed. It must be
the fitness.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
I'm so fit. I have been chewing my jaw and
dancing for seven hours. Sad even sun. Do you know
what I mean?

Speaker 4 (22:22):
If you go to if you pluck one of the
stars of my six hundred pound life, it could pumpo
full of anything and she wouldn't be able to do
eight hours on the dance floor.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
Coutchie, and you got it the good comparison. I don't
like your cynical No, I wasn't.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
I'm very proud of you, know.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
I'm proud of you. I love my new fit co
host one million downloads.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
You go on up a mountain, it's.

Speaker 3 (22:43):
All half an hour.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
She's just unbelievable. I believe there are warnings about the mountain.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
Look, our buckheads are so invested in this as I am,
and I think maybe algorithm no now because of you,
that the people that know people that are about to
climb up mountains. So a bunch of buckheads did send
us this article, but I also did come across it.
It's about an incredible Everest survival story.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
Hang on before you do that. I think I've got
one of the buckheads here, Tracy, Marie.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
Kate, Tracy, I just watched the news.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
A sherpan named Hillary named after Edmund Hillary. Okay, what
give him a sound effect for that? Sush I can
get up. What you don't know who Edmund Hillary said?

Speaker 4 (23:40):
If I say sir Edmund Hillary or him? The first
person he was in New Zealander Act was.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
That's why she climb Everest.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Oh, there you go. I didn't know that. I think
when I say first person, he was with a sherp
called tens in Norgate, so who was probably no not cheated,
but probably had climbed it before. I would say, of course,
but Edmund Hillary is widely fake Edmund and that's why
there's a sherpur named after him. Anyway, this sherpur named Hillary, imagine,
was a guy was found alive after being stranded on

(24:14):
Everest for six days. He fell down a crevass. His
group kept going and he survived, eating ice. It was
you on the weekend.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
It's what his family given up on him.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
Like I told you, can't eat ice and started.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Performing last last rites.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Ritual, Oh God, drama.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
And then trace him.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
Marie said, Kate, you wouldn't survive on ice alone. You
need to be prepared for emergency. Pack some colure in
your bra. Taking the bra what a miracle for Hillary. Well,
I feel like every time I hear that no, but
every time I hear a story, can you take your brains?
Your bracelet's hitting something and I can hear it a lot.

Speaker 3 (24:57):
No, that's the buttons.

Speaker 4 (24:59):
I'll take my jacket, okay, and then you'll skip to
the full rock. Okay. Well, look at this looking good?

Speaker 2 (25:06):
What's happened?

Speaker 4 (25:07):
Want to see me on the dance look like a
dance teacher. This is a dance leotard that literally I
have never been able to fit in an eight year
old girl and I barely fit into and you look
like a twelve year old boy from a wedding.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
We're a perfect match.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
Did you know you were gaything twelve years old? If
I tried to kiss you behind the wedding cake? Cake cake?

Speaker 3 (25:33):
Anytime we're hearing these stories now about any sort of
mountain climbing, it seems to me that people just turn
on those mountains, and they do not care for the
fellow man.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
No, no, they don't.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
Everyone's in it for themselves.

Speaker 4 (25:45):
You know the story after story, every man for himself
is because of ships and because of mountain climbs. The
mountain climbers.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
Oh, she's pushing ah, you know.

Speaker 3 (25:54):
Comba before you get up there. But when the go
one gets tough on these slopes. Okay, this is when
I get nervous for you. So they just left him
this guy, Yeah, they left the well, this guy survived.
This is another feel good story.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
Dawa Sherpa.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
Actually hiss it was born to it.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
He survived six days.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Hang on, that's the same guy. He is not the
same guy that they've just nicknamed him Hillary.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
But this guy has a secret to how he survived.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Okay, I'm going to write this. This is where you
what I'm gonna Okay, are you ready? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (26:39):
So maybe it's the same story, but she missed the
best part. He found chocolates in his pocket, which became
his only real source of food, and they are saying
that is what got him.

Speaker 4 (26:56):
Through the last couple of days when he was crawling
down the mountain. Do you remember that guy, Dawa Darwa?

Speaker 2 (27:04):
We call Hillary's.

Speaker 4 (27:05):
I think it's two different stories, both six days.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Do what happened to Darwi?

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Do you understand how many people die on that?

Speaker 2 (27:12):
Hence all our nerves anyway?

Speaker 3 (27:15):
Stuff your tracky's in your boobs?

Speaker 2 (27:17):
Yeah, do you know what I've thought?

Speaker 4 (27:19):
Because someone said to mean they eat a lot of carbohydrate.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Up on the mountain, like they don't have a lot
of meat. Now you know how I am about meat.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
I love your meat.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
I can't get here.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
Love meat and you feel so good saying it, Like
for years I had to proutine meat chain. Yeah, we
were meat changed and we will climb a meat changed
Whereas now I've been reading about animals and I don't
believe that they contribute to that.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Give me that someone's joining Hugh's his political party? No,
well no, I come up and his running mate.

Speaker 4 (27:58):
No.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
You know why because he's a vegan. Align myself with him.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
I think if he just sat down and had a
bit of he might calm down a bit.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Yes, because there's something going on in to calm down
a bit. Do you know who we should talk to?
You're not Hughsey, but Holly the wife. See how it
is for Holly?

Speaker 3 (28:14):
And I said the wife, not in a derogatory term.
I meant with politicians. You say the wife, you know,
because it's.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
The in a derogatory scene, but she is holy wifely anyway, I.

Speaker 4 (28:25):
Want you to secretly Holly is one of our people
that downloads the bottle. We love Holly ho.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
Let's get secret a secret steak into Hughsey. How would
how do you secretly give someone a s I don't
think you can blend it put it in something else.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
I don't think you can.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
I think if you started him on some animal fats,
like if you cook something in butter and routended, like
he'd even get.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
That because you know, butter is full of animal fat.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Yeah, and really good.

Speaker 4 (28:52):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
Like vitamin K K two.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
We love that.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
You know have K two and you take your vitamin D.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
You know what.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
I think you're right, he needs to eat a steak. Okay,
all right, let's call him and put it to him.
At some point.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
At some point, what.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Were you saying, Oh, yeah, we've got more feedback.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
Last week you told our buckheads financial advice, or a
couple of weeks ago, Yeah, very smart financial advice. Oh
my god, you found six.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
K Lewis my son found it going to two point.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
A money something six. I asked for the link for
about five times as soon as we left the studio.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Yeah, I think you didn't.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
I Unfortunately, I do not have any missing money.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
I searched full name, middle name, all my names, just
not all my ages. Nothing nothing.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Yeah, and I'm sure a lot of buckheads had the
same results.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
I hope back it's Oh. I wanted back Head to
write to our money claim money. What's the website called
again money money smart dot dot.

Speaker 3 (29:55):
Money smart dot gov?

Speaker 4 (29:56):
That are you? Yeah, money finder, fine account anywhere anyway?

Speaker 2 (30:00):
And forgotten bank account, superannuation.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
My co host finds six k and I find nothing.
And I'm okay with that, Kate, I'm okay with it.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Sure you'd have something squirreled away, some unpaid royalties or something.
I feel like an accountant found all my lost money
for me when I got the mortgage.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
Oh yeah, that's right.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
They do a thorough when I had to find every
single dollar.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
That fossicking down the back of the count Yes, but
then we.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
Call it the buckhead gods. Maybe I believe this is
the second greatest thing to ever happen to you in
the world. I have two words for you.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
Are you ready? Class actions?

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Okay? All right? I get something in the mail the
other day. Who gets things in the mail? Why do
you even check the box?

Speaker 4 (30:54):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
I have some things getting delivered.

Speaker 4 (30:59):
Very thick, very thickly.

Speaker 3 (31:01):
A document A document.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
I was like, what's going on here?

Speaker 3 (31:05):
I was like, what have I done this time?

Speaker 4 (31:07):
I open it up.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
It is a very fancy legal.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
Deal clues on the outside.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
I know nothing, basically, without getting into the boring weeds,
this says a few years ago, you had shares because
I brought a few shares to try and get some
money for the more we all trying to have them
for long, sold them whatever. Because you had shares for
this company. This company behaved this certain way, and there's
now a class action. And because you were a part

(31:34):
of the time the time catchment, you can attach your
name and then if they win, you get money.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
Oh my.

Speaker 4 (31:44):
Class action.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
But hang on, is the company still around?

Speaker 3 (31:48):
I don't want to say.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
I don't want to do still around? It was some
weird Yes, what type of company was it?

Speaker 3 (31:56):
What was it?

Speaker 4 (31:57):
It's like a.

Speaker 3 (32:00):
No, I can't It's like financial medical or something. Once
you don't understand, but only they behaved badly and someone
on the board did naughty things and lied.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
And everyone that had has got a class action.

Speaker 3 (32:13):
You wanted to join, you can, so look, my mother
in law is a lawyer. Yeah, right, sending that her
way and saying, have a look. Yeah, I don't think
you have to do anything, do anything, just wait sign
a thing, but.

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Or wait for them to declare themselves bankrupt and then
no one gets.

Speaker 3 (32:26):
Probably for community.

Speaker 4 (32:28):
This is second best of finding money. Have you not
seen Aaron Brockovich. She goes into that woman's house, sits
her down in the backyard and says, you're getting ten mil.
And all they have to do is watch their children
and then die from from the groundwater being contained to read.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
You'll love this in real life. Aaron Brokovich is back.
That's what she's doing. What taken on the data centers.
She's back, the real Aeron Brockovich.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
So google it.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
I don't understand that, but she's back.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
Apparently they can compulsorily acquire your house.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
Yes, give me some cash.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Yeah, found money in America. Found money. Aaron brockobis looking.
I don't know, but got a class action right when
you need one.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
But who will make that movie now? Because you know what,
the data scene has refused to stream it.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
I'll never see it. They'll deny it to us.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
It's so odd that she's back in the news because
I watched that movie a while ago for the first
time in probably a very very long God.

Speaker 4 (33:31):
It's a good movie, is it?

Speaker 2 (33:33):
Enjoyed it when I saw it?

Speaker 4 (33:34):
What a film?

Speaker 2 (33:35):
I love Julia Roberts. Then I love Julia Roberts.

Speaker 4 (33:38):
Now you don't he see her? Now?

Speaker 2 (33:41):
What do I would I see her? To love her?

Speaker 4 (33:43):
In good point?

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Where is she?

Speaker 3 (33:44):
She made that terrible to the Beach with who?

Speaker 4 (33:49):
What's the guy from me?

Speaker 2 (33:51):
Which one?

Speaker 4 (33:52):
The big famous George Clooney.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
They made that movie two years ago, the wedding They
went to the Don's wedding on an island. It was
supposed to be a romantic comedy.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
It was really bad.

Speaker 4 (34:04):
It was real bad.

Speaker 3 (34:05):
Yeah, no, that's not Rockovic. Julie Roberts needs to be
in a courtroom taking.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
On the big man.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Yes, yes, yes, yes, you should be taking on my
class action.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Can you imagine if I end up with money?

Speaker 4 (34:17):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (34:17):
I love it? How long did it?

Speaker 4 (34:18):
Say?

Speaker 2 (34:18):
How long? Because I know I've got nine to ten weeks,
which now I reckon is down to about seven weeks.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
To get your cash.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Yep, she said a check would come a check. Hey,
buckcas if you've ever gotten money from a class action,
let us Okay, we love so we get a little
buck up anyway.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
And one of our buckwhets was a broad not far abroad,
just down the beach in Victoria, Tate. Hey, guys, just
thought i'd share this. Found it in a store window
in lawn. This gave me such a buck up. So
the text is meant it's a it's a you know,
on the front of a like a glass of warning,

(34:58):
right on the front of the window, and it says
it's obviously some sort of wed, you know, holistic gift shop,
says you matter, don't give up. That's how the text
is meant to be read. But if you read it
going across ways, which Chait obviously did for the buck up,
it says you don't matter, give up.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
Nothing could be true good, you don't matter, give up.

Speaker 4 (35:28):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
And they must wonder why people come into their shop.
Also bonder just like you don't.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Matter, don't matter, give up. That is actually very friends, brilliant,
very friends, to remind yourself if you ever have anything.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
No people say these people say, oh no, we're all
just ants, We're all.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
Just specs, We're all No people say, from space, you
realize how insignificant we are. No, No, that doesn't make
anyone feel good. And you're significant. You're very important. That
bad you're hearing that very important person to many people,
including us and to yourself.

Speaker 2 (36:07):
We're essential.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
Do you think all this work went into creating you?
If you meant nothing, you're not a bread cry And
you know I.

Speaker 3 (36:15):
Only read just the other day that the egg in
the womb rejects sperm. It doesn't like did you know that?

Speaker 2 (36:22):
So the miracle of birth by the way you're reading that,
I want to.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
Tell you, but the miracle that you are.

Speaker 4 (36:33):
Yes, you also got through a picky egg knocking back
sperms impossibly. Know they did that.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
I thought it was first come first serve my point.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
It's not easy.

Speaker 4 (36:42):
They're not. You thought they were over easy. They're over Yeah,
we're not just taking anyone another thing.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
I read, been reading a lot. Finally, when I got
my proper prescription. By the way, you know what happens
when you get the glasses you actually need and.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Read read more.

Speaker 4 (36:57):
Paiter is always because I have to do a lot
of re for no filter, and Peter's always like, feel
like you need some glasses.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
Yet it's true, he comes in. I've got every light
on a searing torch, caring at the past.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
I hate to be this guy. What when I got
my proper prescription about three months ago, when it's way
stronger than I thought it should be. I am honestly
reading so much because I can do.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (37:24):
And I will at some point I will, but you
know what, not yet? Not yet?

Speaker 4 (37:32):
Did you know this?

Speaker 3 (37:33):
I read this the other day.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Stop reading.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
I can't for the next million. I'm going to be
a different person doing that.

Speaker 4 (37:41):
You don't know. Maybe I learned this on TikTok reading.
I don't know, but no, I think I learned. I
think I learned this on TikTok. So it's okay.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
Hit me.

Speaker 3 (37:51):
The color of your eyes you see the world differently
to people with other colors eyes.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
I've always wondered that.

Speaker 4 (38:00):
The world you.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
See the word a little bit different than people with
blue eyes. Do the colors come in a bit?

Speaker 4 (38:04):
I don't know, but I read a whole thing.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
What if you google gride, how do you see?

Speaker 3 (38:09):
But we've got brown eyes together. We see the world together.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
Yeah, we do light and Hazely.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
Your chocolatey and dark and mysterious.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
Dash is brown brown? Also hazel hazel difference.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
I'm not gonna lie. I do sometimes off and people go,
I've got hazel, You've got No.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
I know they're not. I noticed because I've got dark
brown eyes. They don't change it all. They're so dull.

Speaker 4 (38:34):
Whereas people who have got the light lighter colored eyes
and the light plays in them. I find it really beautiful.
You've got eyes the color of tea. Me tea weak tea,
very weak, and my husband's got why I find.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
It bizarre looking at blue eyes? Do you find it bizarre?

Speaker 4 (38:59):
Okay, you know what.

Speaker 3 (38:59):
The the bizarre is dogs with blue eyes freaks.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
That's not right.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
Blue and green.

Speaker 4 (39:06):
No, I'm sorry that color does not belong dogs, or
in Alaskan malamutef.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
But you know why, because where are they supposed to live? Well,
while come over to me with my weak tea eyes.

Speaker 4 (39:19):
That's sort of funny, actually, because they're supposed to live.

Speaker 2 (39:23):
They're supposed to live.

Speaker 4 (39:23):
In the Arctic that's why they've got blue eyes, like
the Norwegians and the Norden.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
However, are they Inuit have all got brown eyes.

Speaker 4 (39:35):
I don't know what you're getting it. Well, I thought
the natives to the Icy region had blue eyes because
they're Arctic people. But the Inuit, who are the native
Arctic people as far as I know, have got brown eyes.
Have you been reading? No, I'm just.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
If I ever, I'm drinking plain wine, so that might
have something.

Speaker 3 (39:59):
Like god a bid of a divorce cody that will
never happen, not on my watch, especially because his mum's
a lawyer and we don't have a greener Oh, if
it was to ever end up back on the dating
apps under eye.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Color, I have to do weak tea brown, weak tea.
We just put weak tea, weak tea, brown, brown, weak tea.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
I ever a beautiful color, not the way you said it. Okay,
you sound judgy, worse if I'd said tea with milk,
would be like, oh you need help, you need free
holler your eyes a weak tea.

Speaker 3 (40:36):
Put that in your romance novel. She stared into his
weak tea brown eyes.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
Don't stand how is it coming along?

Speaker 4 (40:49):
A bad, bad bad, bad, bad bad. Can I say
something with total confidence? Go, nothing worse has ever happened
in my relationship got around than my husband deciding that
he can take over the role of a travel agent.

Speaker 3 (41:14):
I will say something. Here is the t brown eyed
person in that you are Yes, yes, and huge shout
out to any travel agents. Yes listening, love you? I
love you.

Speaker 4 (41:25):
I think sorry, I can do your job.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
No you can't.

Speaker 4 (41:29):
I can do your job. Idiot, I can do your job.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
You're a foul the Huberius, the aga.

Speaker 4 (41:36):
I can do your job.

Speaker 2 (41:37):
Oh you are mad.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
I'm on the Google search flight things.

Speaker 4 (41:41):
I'm doing this.

Speaker 2 (41:42):
I'm doing that.

Speaker 3 (41:44):
You can do set up a little flight thing of
your date so you can get a notification if the
price goes up. I am good at this. No, yeah,
hotels to books so it links to your quiness points
so you get more. I know what I'm doing.

Speaker 2 (41:58):
What can you book my holiday?

Speaker 3 (42:00):
It's like, hang on, this is what a travel agent does.
What does Pete do? What does he do that you
think he's worse than a travel agent?

Speaker 4 (42:07):
Okay, for starters, he sits at the computer four hours.

Speaker 2 (42:14):
Hours going.

Speaker 4 (42:17):
Oh no, the price has gone up. Oh no, I'm like,
that's because they know that you're about to book.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
You can't. You've got to now book from another device.

Speaker 4 (42:26):
Clear.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
And then he's like user VPN to book flights.

Speaker 4 (42:30):
Because he oh, that's a good chip, because he likes
to book the longest possible route. Remember thirty five hours
once coming back from Goer which is an hour from Mumbai,
which is sixteen hours from Australia, right, And I didn't
speak to him for the first twenty four hours, fair enough.
So Sunday, my daughter for her twenty first she said,

(42:51):
what I would really like is a family holiday with.

Speaker 2 (42:54):
My three brothers.

Speaker 4 (42:56):
I'm of for to say that by day especial because
she hates them. It's so very unheard of.

Speaker 3 (43:01):
I'm smart, she's getting a free holiday.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
Yeah, but she would have got that anyway somehow.

Speaker 4 (43:06):
But she also hasn't been on a family holiday with
us for I reckon five years, right, it's been us
and the boys, and she's been you know, otherwise detained,
right anyway, So Peter went all that, So that's what
she wants. So we've decided to go to Ballei. When
Peter started booking Ballei original, the flights were quite cheap,

(43:28):
we haven't been to Ballei for years, but like it's
got to be closed.

Speaker 3 (43:32):
He used to smash Barali.

Speaker 2 (43:33):
Yeah we used to. Yeah, we used to.

Speaker 4 (43:35):
Anyway, we haven't been for a long time anyway. So
Peter gets on and he books me and him first.
He's got a first of all, because I was annoyed
at the kids when I don't want to mistake.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
Yeah, but I that was my fault because I was like,
I'm not taking them on holiday and I hate them.
I need a holiday from them, just a carb free day,
no sugar. How's the diet go?

Speaker 4 (44:00):
It's too much cooking and too much whatever? Right, And
then of course that was just momentary and then I'm
like okay. So then he has to check there all
of to chuck if they're all available, and they will
be available. It's a free holiday, they're kids, they're available.

Speaker 2 (44:13):
What have they got on anyway? So then he books
three of the four of them.

Speaker 4 (44:19):
Uh huh? But okay, so we know Barley is if
you're listening, wa, it's like a two hour flight or something.

Speaker 2 (44:26):
It's so close that wa people go hopping to Bali
all the time. The footage from Melbourne is it five
hours I think six five.

Speaker 3 (44:35):
Hours direct to Bali.

Speaker 4 (44:37):
Yeah, so close, exactly, per It's close, close, right, and
think it was that close. So my husband, by the
time he gets around to booking the kids, the price
has nearly doubled. They know he's keen.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
They know he's keen, and he's also left it at
this point in another two weeks closer to the holiday. Long,
too long, too long. A travel agent would have done
it like that, but no Peter Allenois. So he's sending
them guess how long the trips are to get to Ballei.
Just have a guess on how many? Guess higher what.

Speaker 3 (45:13):
I wouldn't hire.

Speaker 2 (45:14):
I wouldn't go on higher. I'm not going sash eighteen lower.

Speaker 4 (45:18):
Yeah. So they're going on a fifteen hours.

Speaker 2 (45:20):
Sixteen hours on an airline he's found.

Speaker 4 (45:23):
I've never heard of a scoot airlines scoots okay, all right,
And he's sending them no frills, okay, he's sending them
via Singapore. They're going by It's sixteen hours for them
to get to Ballei, which is a five hour flight,
and then Peter goes. But the price difference was I'm saving,

(45:44):
but you're three hundred dollars per ticket, So for twelve
one hundred dollars, right, which is a lot of money.

Speaker 3 (45:53):
Do they get to see Singapore?

Speaker 4 (45:54):
No, I've got like a four hour ago, a four
hour layout airport. It's a lovely air sixteen hours to
get to Balley and then you know what Peter said,
this is great. I can actually drop them at the
airport in the morning or come home. We'll pack, we'll
leave that night, we'll go out to the airport and
then they'll arrive six hours after we do. This is

(46:16):
the worst travel story I've ever heard. This is what
this is, including imminent death on the mountains.

Speaker 2 (46:21):
He's a monster. He's a monster.

Speaker 4 (46:24):
Make you hard, Pete, love you. But you think two
trips to the airport is a good thing. Yeah, he
likes it because he can control things. And also there's
a part of him he laughs like start, there's a
cruel thing in him that he's like if the children's
I have.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
I don't think that there's no business in scoot. I
don't think it's business.

Speaker 4 (46:44):
They're not flying in seats and no one needs to
go business to banning up. They may be they may
be in the luggage hold anyway, I did we did
say to them, And I have to be careful. I
don't ever like to disrespect my husband in front of
the children, do it on this podcast of the listeners,
in front of our million, in front of our million,

(47:05):
I can tell the truth.

Speaker 2 (47:06):
But so I say to the kids, there's.

Speaker 4 (47:09):
Been an issue with your flights? Are you happy with
a longer flight to buy? And they're like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
no worries.

Speaker 2 (47:20):
I'm like, sixteen hours.

Speaker 4 (47:21):
Luckily they don't know how normal how long it normally
takes to get to Barley, but they are going to
arrive wock eyed and hungry.

Speaker 2 (47:29):
Yeah, then they're going to get BALI hours later.

Speaker 4 (47:32):
And how they get.

Speaker 2 (47:33):
Home half of their holiday? It's being spent. Yes, that's
who he is.

Speaker 4 (47:41):
It's like when I say it's the worst thing that
ever happened in our relationship, it's the worst.

Speaker 3 (47:47):
I mean, Cody and I clash, because Cody and me clash.
If when we go away, it's Cody is all about
let's get economy and go big on a com Yeah,
I'm like, let's flay and who cares about a com right?
We clash over that.

Speaker 2 (48:01):
We you know, we find the middle ground.

Speaker 4 (48:04):
What Alice and I did when we went to Japan together,
which is, if it's a ten hour flight, that's just
like sitting in an armchair for ten hours, right, that's fine.

Speaker 2 (48:13):
I could easily do that at time, and you do
so anything.

Speaker 4 (48:18):
And they do yeah, so anything like that. I'm like, Yeah,
we're gonna fly, how do you pronounce it? Economy? Economy
and then spend the money on accommodation. But if it's
to Europe, you can't. You can't do twenty four hours
I have to do. You know how medicated I have
to get to fly to Brisbane?

Speaker 3 (48:39):
Please. I very rarely pull the the.

Speaker 4 (48:43):
MENTYH car ment H card when it comes to travel,
and we're got to pull that card out.

Speaker 3 (48:49):
It's got so many points points.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
So we're both going business every week.

Speaker 3 (48:54):
I saw a thing online many a couple of years
ago which did make me laugh, and it was some
content creator. I'm so I can't remember who it was
that said, gay men, because we don't have families. A
lot of the time we don't have kids. We put
all our energy into flying points. Oh yeah, I can'tn't
have points?

Speaker 2 (49:12):
Oh yes, of course, and travelation.

Speaker 3 (49:18):
Gay men, we are so good at consolidating points and
credit cards, knowing when to do it.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
Women are like that too, with the point, very good
with admin.

Speaker 4 (49:29):
Because we don't have kids.

Speaker 3 (49:30):
We don't have kids to spend money on terrible or
think about or feed all the stuff you've got to.

Speaker 2 (49:36):
Do every day while we're nation building.

Speaker 1 (49:38):
For you.

Speaker 2 (49:38):
Thank you, you're scooping up all the points.

Speaker 3 (49:44):
And I'm really grateful for sixteen hour flight.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
It's like some kind of record.

Speaker 3 (49:51):
It is the worst thing.

Speaker 4 (49:53):
It's just terrible. Well, getting on will be, they'll be fine.
Getting on, they'll be full of hope, and by the
way getting off they'll be.

Speaker 3 (50:00):
They're not a sponsor. There's going to be delays because
they're flying scoot so it's not just spook to LA
to be on time delay. It's a genuine miracle if
it takes off.

Speaker 4 (50:08):
So cruel he's got a real cruelty to him, which
I know I have forced him into, because he's actually
just a much kinder, softer person than I am. But
he's got this real streak in him now.

Speaker 3 (50:20):
And you know, people listening right now live this. Most
families and relationships, there's the booker, the family planner, the
trip organizer, and you're very grateful to it. But when
you get there and the ar COM's what, oh, it's
a fifty minute walk to the beach.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
You start.

Speaker 3 (50:37):
Now, you've got to push it down.

Speaker 4 (50:39):
Push The one thing that he's he does now as
a concession to I think my white hot fury picked
up on it is with you. He doesn't book accommodation
without showing it to me.

Speaker 2 (50:52):
But invariably, invariably.

Speaker 4 (50:55):
It's like some like hot in the middle of nowhere
with AIDS graffiti scrawled on the wall. Literally one night
when we were in Cambodia, he made us stay in
a place it was four dollars for the night and
it had AIDS.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
Graffiti written on the wall. They just right, Yeah, I
have aids on the wall that I was facing.

Speaker 4 (51:22):
I could see it through the blur of the mosquito
net which wasn't keeping any mosquitoes out. And the friend
that we were traveling with started crying in the middle
of the night, a guy, and he said, it's all
right for you too.

Speaker 2 (51:33):
You have each other on my home right that Alan
lewis Oh, okay, yeah.

Speaker 3 (51:41):
I mean I'm not the easiest person to book for. Yeah,
Cody reminded me the other day of I completely forgot well.
A couple of years ago, he booked a calm down
near the water for asked us for a few days.

Speaker 2 (51:55):
Book down near the water beach beach in Victoria.

Speaker 3 (51:58):
Yeah, I come, I get away three nights a calm.

Speaker 2 (52:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (52:04):
I made us leave.

Speaker 2 (52:06):
No, I'm not surprised.

Speaker 3 (52:07):
Because it was too quiet. It was too quiet, and
I lost my mind.

Speaker 4 (52:15):
It wasn't like when you went to retreat retreat, No,
you idiot. He took it to some place and you
couldn't handle the quiet on the looking out glass windows
into beauty.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
So I and you went nuts to go after one night,
two nights, two nights.

Speaker 4 (52:34):
It was so quiet. Where was he in bed?

Speaker 3 (52:37):
He were sleeping, he was relaxing. Fair enough, he earned it,
he worked hard.

Speaker 2 (52:40):
What were you doing?

Speaker 3 (52:41):
Was pacing?

Speaker 2 (52:43):
No Wi Fi? No WiFi. I don't know how to
stop him booking our holidays.

Speaker 4 (52:49):
I mean, you've got to be grateful he's doing it.
I'm not. This is always when you come to my shows.
I always start my show.

Speaker 2 (52:56):
As I always make the world. I always at any event.

Speaker 4 (53:01):
Yeah, tickets out and in relationships, Yeah, okay, they booked
the holiday. Yeah, and you've just got to go.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
Can you criticize the person that's doing the job? You know, well,
we all like to do it with the government before.

Speaker 3 (53:11):
Can I do it with this sixteen hour story?

Speaker 4 (53:14):
Said? No, your but now forget the dipping because I've
been I've been holding it within. I told you about
the flight back from India thirty five hours.

Speaker 3 (53:24):
Didn't I hold us five minutes ago?

Speaker 2 (53:26):
Yeah? Didn't that garner sympathy? Then?

Speaker 4 (53:30):
Why wasn't I getting sympathy for that? I think I
didn't speak to him for the first twenty four hours
of that. I literally when I realized, I literally could
not look at him, couldn't look at him. Can you
just pull up a little thing in your business idea
little girten?

Speaker 2 (53:46):
Yeah I did.

Speaker 4 (53:47):
But when yeah, I did well. And then at when
we finally got to stop, like you know, fourteen hours,
eighteen hours, twenty two hours into the journey, I wouldn't
let him come in to the lounge with me. I
took one of the children and they fell asleep, and
they just slept like for the first time.

Speaker 2 (54:06):
I mean, twenty four hours, there'll.

Speaker 4 (54:09):
Be no sleep. But on scoop, let's get.

Speaker 3 (54:11):
Scooped to the bonds of the buck.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
Experience. Yeah about that, bad.

Speaker 3 (54:20):
About things that are embarrassing that shouldn't be a mainstay
of this pot.

Speaker 4 (54:25):
Yes it is, Yes it is, because there's always new
things popping up that you haven't realized they're humiliated.

Speaker 3 (54:30):
However, then there's old school things that have been around
for many, many a year and that are embarrassing, embarrassing. Jerome, Hello,
Jerome Buckhead DM slid on in.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
Slid on in, just slid on in. Hello when we
weren't looking. Jerome from Mandura, isn't it in w A wow?
Yeah it's near Bali.

Speaker 4 (54:53):
Yeah, yeah, I have a thing that are embarrassing that
shouldn't be hailing a bus.

Speaker 3 (55:00):
I must I dancees.

Speaker 2 (55:02):
Hailing a bus. It's so true.

Speaker 4 (55:06):
Putting your armor on embarrassing and you always by putting
your arm up, and for some reason there's a part
of you. You know, what makes it embarrassing is it's
toying with your belief in the system because you don't
believe the bus is going to stop. And you know what,
sometimes sometimes they just can't pass, sometimes not in service,

(55:30):
or that's the other one.

Speaker 2 (55:31):
When it's books.

Speaker 3 (55:32):
The worst is train replacement. I'm sorry, mate, that home
over glass Before I get a brain replacement, I don't
care if the uber is skyrocketed to one thousand dollars?

Speaker 2 (55:44):
Are so brain replacement question question?

Speaker 4 (55:48):
Huh?

Speaker 2 (55:48):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (55:49):
So, sometimes, as we know, we live in a topsy
turvy world and systems don't always.

Speaker 2 (55:55):
Work the way they should.

Speaker 4 (55:58):
When there's the insulation of a tram or these extreme
weather and you see people waiting for a tram or
waiting for a bus or whatever, sometimes I have an
urge when I'm driving down that road pass them in
a car with three empty seats to stop and ask
someone if they want to lift.

Speaker 2 (56:20):
I thought you were gonna insane.

Speaker 3 (56:22):
Honestly, because I know you well. I thought you were
going to say you were going to speed up. So
when you hit the pop, yeah, I spray the spray them.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
All with you.

Speaker 3 (56:32):
Well, two people that know you pretty well.

Speaker 2 (56:33):
For le that's where we thought that story. That's not
the sort of terrible I am, that's not that's terrible.
Lift she can't, she's convulsed. Would be the end of

(56:54):
the story. And just drive put my window down.

Speaker 4 (56:58):
That's just terrible that I come across something.

Speaker 2 (57:08):
Two of you were unanimous in thinking I was that person.
I've had that happen to me, and now I'm going
to pay it forward. No, do you think it's weird
to stop and ask to pick someone up?

Speaker 4 (57:21):
To right?

Speaker 3 (57:22):
It's strange danger, it's weed.

Speaker 2 (57:25):
But I don't think it would I come across as weed.

Speaker 3 (57:27):
You're saying yes to that.

Speaker 4 (57:28):
By the way, that if I was.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
Standing there in the rain, I would a hundred.

Speaker 3 (57:33):
I don't know where they're going.

Speaker 2 (57:35):
They're don't going down the road that I'm going on
tram track. Mate, Why do you think it's going to
turn off manner? Going straight ahead?

Speaker 3 (57:46):
So you're just say home or to the end of
this street.

Speaker 2 (57:51):
I just say, can I give you a lift? It's raining?
Please don't stab mississ, don't stab me.

Speaker 3 (57:56):
I'm scared for you and them.

Speaker 2 (57:58):
Yeah, okay, right when.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
I jumping in bear it.

Speaker 4 (58:01):
Sometimes I see a woman she's put a lot of
time into doing her hair. I'm like that, he's going
to frizze up if you stay out here, Darlin, hop
in this car.

Speaker 1 (58:11):
This is.

Speaker 3 (58:15):
Through crime all over it. Have you never seen the
movie Wolf Creek? I think it starts with this saying
it I haven't seen.

Speaker 4 (58:22):
I won't say darling his name the John Jarrow who
the murder Ivan Malatt?

Speaker 2 (58:29):
No, that was the other one. No, No, he wasn't
Wolf Creek. Ivan Malatt. Malatt was the one who did
all the ones in the forest. Was he wolf Creek?

Speaker 4 (58:39):
I think wolf Creek was the guy that killed well,
I think Peter Falconio. But legally they had to say
it wasn't based on anyone.

Speaker 2 (58:48):
Oh I can't. So I've just done that not based
so we scrubbed those.

Speaker 3 (58:53):
Here's the sequel right here.

Speaker 2 (58:55):
I love it anyway, I'd like to do it.

Speaker 4 (58:57):
I just can't.

Speaker 2 (58:58):
I'm like, it seems ridiculous. Here we are in the
giant wash of humanity.

Speaker 3 (59:03):
We would love to know how that.

Speaker 2 (59:06):
Okay, let me just say this.

Speaker 4 (59:08):
If I summon up, if I screw my courage to
the sticking place to stop and ask a stranger if
they'd like a leaf out of the goodness of my
heart and they say no, and they say no, I'm
going to do a block, and I'm.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Going to with what.

Speaker 3 (59:28):
And the first thing about doing a block is they
will get a false sense of security that you're gone.

Speaker 2 (59:34):
And then I'll come back. And then and then I said, yes,
you're the left now and then drive. Oh goodness, I
shouldn't drink any more plate and.

Speaker 3 (59:47):
That little bit there is why we thought the story
was going to end.

Speaker 2 (59:51):
Yes, oh, mom.

Speaker 3 (59:54):
To celebrate our millionth.

Speaker 4 (59:55):
Downloads, unbelievable.

Speaker 3 (59:57):
To celebrate our millionth download We've waited for these for
a long week. Have a text from my mother in
law Carol, Gail.

Speaker 2 (01:00:06):
Gail, that's right, Gail, Gail, Carol. Carol is Carrie's mom.

Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
Carol's carry big Oh hello, Hello, Maybe.

Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
That's Rove's mum.

Speaker 3 (01:00:14):
All right's got a mom called God on the King's
birthday on the list last week? Rot on your Rove?

Speaker 2 (01:00:20):
Really?

Speaker 4 (01:00:21):
What for? What do they give service to TV?

Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
Entertainment?

Speaker 4 (01:00:24):
Entertainment? Gig with Rove two weeks ago. That man is
aging better than anyone I know in showby You are mate,
he looks good.

Speaker 3 (01:00:32):
He doesn't looks better than you looks good.

Speaker 2 (01:00:34):
He's older than me than you. Yeah, but you are.
You look like a twelve year old Italian boy.

Speaker 4 (01:00:40):
At a wedding.

Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
Text from Gail to Cody.

Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
To Cody, you intercepted it.

Speaker 4 (01:00:47):
We got to get permission.

Speaker 2 (01:00:49):
Yeah right, she's a lawyer.

Speaker 4 (01:00:51):
She's a lawyer.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
Yeap, she'll shut out of my class action. She'll shut
this ship down.

Speaker 3 (01:00:55):
You're sitting down, Yeah, I'm sitting here. We go, folks
from my mother in so.

Speaker 4 (01:00:59):
Game Gail to Cody, Yeah, welcome home. I bet you're
glad to be home. It's been such a long time.
He was gone for two weeks, right, and they never
see each other because she say, how would she know?

Speaker 3 (01:01:10):
Currently, I'm lying in bed. I was up from ten
pm last night till three thirty am this morning with
projectile vomiting and explosive diarrhea. I'm over sharing. I think
it was food poisoning from some chicken. Anyway, He's never
experienced such excruciating stomach pain in my life, worse than childbirth.
I would have got Lindsay to take me to the
hospital step Dad, if I could have crawled off the

(01:01:31):
bathroom floor.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Anyway.

Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
He stopped about four o'clock this morning, Thank god. I've
just been sleeping all day now. Lindsay told me to
message him if I wanted anything. I messaged him forty
minutes ago for a cup of tea and a piece
of toast. I'm still waiting. I think I'll have to
call him. I don't think you can hear text messages
when he's got his earphones on. And then I had
uncontrollable shakes and I could not stop shaking. I meant
to ask, how is Joe?

Speaker 2 (01:01:53):
It's a text from my Joe being my father.

Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
What a text from mum for the ages?

Speaker 2 (01:02:01):
Goodness.

Speaker 3 (01:02:02):
When Lindsay has his hearing aids in, he.

Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
Can't hear anything. Also, she's normally so contained.

Speaker 4 (01:02:10):
She's a lawyer. Like she's got recently. We love that
she's dale recently is getting up there with the word count,
word permanent.

Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
She's imagine Lynn lately. When we put the two of
them together in a room, you just you just walk
away and just let it happen because they both don't stop,
but they're somehow listening.

Speaker 4 (01:02:30):
To each other.

Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
Yes, women can do that.

Speaker 3 (01:02:32):
It's an incredible to witness.

Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
That's what women do.

Speaker 3 (01:02:34):
They don't stop, but they're listening.

Speaker 2 (01:02:36):
Then you'll pick up a three from five minutes earl
and then you'll go down there.

Speaker 3 (01:02:41):
It's like you see those those people that can do
circular breathing in those years.

Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
Did you red?

Speaker 4 (01:02:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
Right, it's that it's like a am I allowed to
