Got anything good?

Speaker 4 (00:19):
Hey, this is the Christian O'Connell show podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Now passy. What's happened to you on Facebook?

Speaker 5 (00:29):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
You know what?

Speaker 5 (00:30):
I think I'm about to sack Facebook marketplace because the
people on there are just.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
What is it? You're right because this happens to my wife.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
She used it a lot, right, and it's brilliant, but
she's always so many people on there are so aggressive.

Speaker 5 (00:43):
Yeah, that's not finding and it's just I'd rather just
take the stuff to the op shop. So I'm trying
to sell this really good quality puffer jacket and it's
very reasonably priced. I've put one hundred bucks on it.
They're about three point fifty retail, and it's only been
moren a couple of times. Right, Anyway, this woman wrote yesterday,
she messaged me and she said, would you take forty bucks?

(01:05):
Come anyway?

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I tried it like you know those sixty percent right,
like some.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
Sort of shop. Anyway, I wrote back, Oh look no, sorry,
it has only been worn a couple of times, and
you know it's three hundred and fifty retail. It's a
really good quality jacket anyway. Then she retorted back with
her well I can get it open that voice I
can just tell by the tone. Well I can get
it brand you for one hundred and twenty right, And

(01:35):
I went to write that.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
That's one of our six hour and callers. Maybe it
was a listener.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
I just thought, I'm not up to having this tip for.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Two get so angry. You're selling something. You can either
buy it or you.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
Do so like so, and that's what I went to
write back to her to respond, toy, hey, you just
just go for it, you know, like, it doesn't from
me if you don't buy it, but that is the price.
But she blocked me.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
So doesn't it make you pass? Doesn't it make you
so angry?

Speaker 5 (02:03):
I just thought, what a waste of vinergy? Like is
that your day where all you do is have we
go with people on market like, just don't buy it.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
And now you can get the last word in which
is no. And they knew that as well.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
And you're still filthy now, but you have got the
lost word because you've got the microphone.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Yes, that's your sword. Will with power responsibility.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
You'll get people that say, can you deliver it two
hours away? You know, and I'll give you like an
extra ten bucks. So I think I'm about to like
sack it because it's just too much.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
It's just so convenient.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
But yeah, the amount of times you buy you sell something,
you agree or then they go, oh will it fit in?

Speaker 1 (02:41):
And it's something like a mini y a couch?

Speaker 2 (02:44):
And I had all the measurements right, I said, hey, listen,
this is a big, heavy couch.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
I might not be here.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
I'm not available throughout the day, so you'll need help
and you'll need this a transport. These are the measurements
it would fit in. This kind of gave it all,
and then they go yeah, yeah, I'm going to do this.
And then I get the text about our beforehand, going
will it fit in a mini a couch?

Speaker 1 (03:06):
It's a three seater couch. This I'm sending my wife.
She's got a bad back. It's not my problem exactly.
Then why do you put a waste of time?

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (03:18):
I know, so I would you know what, I get
more joy out of donating it to the shop. I
really won't at this point because I just can't be people.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Because it used to be really easy to use, and
it's a great idea and people can people.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Can actually like furnish your home for a fraction the
price right.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
But recently, pats you're right the long are so a.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
Yeah, it's just like, don't be like that.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Do you know what we need to do? We need
to set up our own show marketplace nice.

Speaker 2 (03:49):

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Falling out with someone when you've done nothing wrong on
Facebook marketplace. It's a very modern thing, and then you
get blocked again when you've not been abusive and you're
robbed of summer. Having that last word, Christian, I was
listening to Patsy and this happened to me and so
many of my friends as well.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
This comes from Blair.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Wll don't you start a new segment called have your
Last Word where people can call the radio show and
say what you want to say too, entitled Facebook blockers.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
I'm down with this definitely. It's a great idea.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Christian listened about the night they're trying to sell a
puffer jacket and a time wasister blocking and you were
talking about how you were trying to set a three
seater a couch and then someone said, you know, can
it fit into a hot hatch Christian? I saw a
piano want on marketplace. I said them how big it was?
And then a man arrives and says, will it fit
in the boot my cart? It was a hatchback.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
This is what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Time wasters and idiots. They just say, we're not even
that it says, say, I don't know what it is.
It's like we've the world has become an angry title
place and actually face Facebook market It's like this is
how walls start.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
