road trip. We were in Queensland and it was a
fantastic time.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Were checking out a pub save our pub.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
But anyway, when we were at Brisbane Airport waiting for
our flight back, something happened which has never ever happened
to me before.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
It has it ever happened to you before? Never? I
felt ashamed?
Speaker 3 (00:38):
I did.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
They called Rio and I's name over the speakers at
Brisbane Airport.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Now where were we were? At the bar? Yeah? I
thought you were omitting a crucial disdcast. You have to
give context.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
It was four pm, Patsy, that was the time.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
No, it was actually three point fifty two pm, and
I felt we've got time for another sneaky, another sneaky
four X.
Speaker 4 (01:04):
I went to the bathroom. I was, I'm going to
bathroom and then went three fifty three fifty five. I said,
we got to go straight away.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Just smash these back. Hydra. I always say, hydrate before
you fly. I come back.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
There's two huge minds of deer.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
They were they were parts or schooners. The smallness were zip.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
They were small amounts, small amounts, and so we were
chugging them back and then suddenly that's are.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Oh god, that's not us, is it?
Speaker 1 (01:33):
And that we're still searching for two passengers re ordinary
and Christian O'Connor.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
I said, Oh my god, that's us. We then have
to sprint with bellies. We had two beers running down
to get on the bike. I was so ashamed. I was.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
And you have the walk of shame when you get
into the into the actual airport and everyone's looking at you,
knowing how you're holding us.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah, lust they saw us to sprint as well from
the bar.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
Five minutes later though they were they were really running a.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Tight ship.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
So anyway, we want tell your stories today. Why were
they calling your name over the speakers? This is a
great story. Just been an emailed to me by Shona
Christian not an intercon. But my son Michael took his
dog to the vat. The nurse comes out and calls
out Michael Parker. He stands up with his dog, so
does a lady nearby. Turns out her dog's name was
(02:25):
Michael Parker.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
No, what are the odds. That's that's also what are
the odds?
Speaker 1 (02:31):
His name was Michael Parker. Her dog had a human name.
Dogs and human names I can never get enough of.
When I'm down the dog park, it's here someone yelling
Kevin and some little poodle comes running over.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
I'm like, this gets me. If your time Michael Parker
shown her.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
That's a great one, LeAnn, Why was your name called
out over the intercom?
Speaker 3 (02:48):
The same thing that's happened to you happened to me
at Brisbane Airport?
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Also, oh, chugging a few bites.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Yeah, I was actually on the plane. I walked onto
the plane and the flight attendant scanned my boarding past
and as I went to walk off, he said, have
a lovely flight, doctor, and I said sorry, and he said, oh, doctor,
have a lovely flight. I said I'm not a doctor,
and he said, oh, let's go and check. So we
(03:20):
walked down and there was a doctor sitting in the
seat that I was supposed to be sitting in, and
he said, we've got to fix this up. So I
got walked off the plane. So walk of shame off
the plane.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
You're not the doctor.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
Doctor who?
Speaker 3 (03:41):
And then the lady at the front says, oh, we've
been calling you all over the airport for ages, and
I said, well, I've been on the plane so I
couldn't get back on the plane until they found me
a seat on the plane coming off.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
You're coming off.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
I don't know where I was going.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
I would like to see if anyone has actually been
on a plane and gone on the wrong plane and
flown to the desk.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
And surely that's never happened.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
It might, but you know what, in Australia they check
the when you get on the plane, but some countries
they don't. In Europe they don't check.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
They don't check, don't know the entire northern hemisphere.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Hitler, you want to pick a fight with half the world.
Man in Europe. I've lived in Europe. Can be a
we are we checked more than this country. Let's have
a World Cup of checkings. I bet Europeans will call
