Speaker 1 (00:00):
Kyle it Jackie's ticket before you kick it. That's right.
A lot of people, as they grow older, they add
to their bucket list and they never achieve. Maybe they'll
achieve one or two. Our mission here is to give
every oldie before they kick the bucket a chance to

(00:20):
tick the tick the.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Wish list ticket before you kick it.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
And we spoke to Pat yesterday who is one hundred
years old, wasn't she? And her bucket list item was
to go on one of the jet boats. You know
that zoom around has been really fast. She did it yesterday.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
We're going to play it for you, but we've got
her in studio now.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
High Padhi, how are you? Oh my gosh, it's so
good to see you. You look fantastic.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
I'm exhaustion. Hi.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
You was a big day yesterday.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Well, plus the last hundred years has also been that
adds to that, right Pad.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Yeah? What's it like part to be a hundred? How
do you feel when you get to one hundred?

Speaker 4 (01:06):
I don't feel a hundred? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:08):
What do you what age do you feel? What age
do you feel like? Do you feel like you're eighty
or ninety or.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
About six hundred and fifty, about sixty.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Sixty, And what's what's the key to living to one hundred?

Speaker 2 (01:21):
What's the secret?

Speaker 4 (01:23):
Stop fussy and a lot of hard living?

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Really?

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Yeah, Oh but I'm right on track then, is that
what you're saying?

Speaker 4 (01:30):
I'll do well, just enjoy life, justa well, mistakes happy, Yeah,
dear Jackie, Yeah, I'm happy.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah, all right, Jackie's Jackie's been very unhappy for long.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
No, do you think she's waited half a life? There
have been periods for sure where I've been unhappy.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Yeah, but if you keep on going like this, you
might get to one hundred and fifty.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
You never know what advancements will be made by the
time I get older.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
That that's that far away.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
You're suggesting that Pat's missed out on any of the advance.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
I think you've just got to hope that you've got
enough friends left because they all die before you.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
That's that's the thing. Like you wouldn't have friends left,
no partner, so I.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Worked with I still got do you.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
You are all your friends like the same age, like
super old.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Same age? Yea god, an awful lot of them died
much younger.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
And and do you how much longer would you like
to live, not much? No, are you done?

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Are you almost done?

Speaker 1 (02:38):
For? She thought she'd broke it on the boat yesterday?

Speaker 4 (02:41):
Johnny Buckett's full.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
It's full. That's nice though.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
When we got some great video of Pat on the boat. Yeah, yeah,
well we're going to put on the screen. We'll show
you and everything.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Okay, So first we're told it took a bit of
time to get into the boat safely, you know, to
get you in there.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
And I needed three strong men.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah, so I had three strong men before, haven't you? No?
Have you have you they lift you up or everywhere.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
You go or you've got to be one hundred to
get that privilege?

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Fair enough?

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Well, it took such a long time that by the
time you were finally on the boat, you were ready
to get off.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
I'm worried as to lift you up a little bit.
I was definitely don onto the seat, okay. That Yeah.
His big idea was this, am I Sydney anywhere?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Everyone moves the lex forward, No, and then we'll just
slide it down. I won't fit through. That is that all?
Can we go home now?

Speaker 1 (03:53):
No, you can't go That was before it started, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
That was before it started.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Were you nervous, Pat, were you a bit scared or
were you excited?

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Oh? I was excited. Yeah, certainly, not scared of that. No, No,
I don't think it went on long enough.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yeah, they never do, do they.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Once the boat you were pretty comfortable, The captain asked
if you were ready for your first spin. Let's hear
how you felt once the boat took off, and did that.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
We better have a look at each other, because we
rode up the same when I think we're starting, I
think we're starting. Oh, we're off now I want to
go faster. We made all that frap. I'm alive.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
That was the first spin.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
That's the first spin. Did they do big hard turns?
Did did they do big hard turns in the boat?
You know, like did they do the big swear?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Yeah they Ah?

Speaker 3 (05:07):
So then you know, because in the boat they do
some downtime. Not everything is crazy all the time. And
so you guys were passing by Kira Billy house.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Or the Prime Minister's house.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Yeah, and Pat, you let drop that your husband was
assistant to the Governor General and that you'd met some
pretty cool people in your time.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Kyle, You're gonna like this story because she tells the
guys who she met.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Oh, well, Prince Charles, Prince Philip, the rest of the
royal family, the whole lot. I had lunch with the print.
She's a very she was a very nice woman, really charming.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
What about Prince Charles, I.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Met him, Well, I sat between him and Prince Philip,
and we had a very happy lunch. Put it that way. Oh,
that was a pick. It's all in a day's work.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Things were different from the ladies in the day.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
By the way, my husband was Private Secretary to the Governor,
not the governor general. Ah.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Right, well you've got prime seating at that lunch in
between Prince Charles depends.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
Yeah, it's a very happy lunch, was it.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
So you've stated twice, so we get it.

it's a great idea to help the oldies tick off
the bucket list. However, front page that Kyle and jack
you have killed someone is not where I want to
end up.

the wardrobe.

Yeah, I could get you some stuff from Patch generation.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
They were the real pioneer women. If they had no outfit,
out would come the singer sewing machine, right, Pat, you'd
whip yourself. You don't have to have all the money
to go to Westfield. You'd sew up your own outfit.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
We did, Yeah, I know, we I mean that was normal.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
It was the last time you sewed up a little
frock to wear out, Jackie.

at the size of him. By bye, see your pat
how she wheels. Hulk looks like someone from one of

(10:24):
