Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, everybody, welcome to the show.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
I guess that I'm very excited for now. I don't
actually say that for every artist do I produce a grace?
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Often it is it is, oh, please welcome.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
I guess I've been listening to these pick guys for
a while, but this artist has been on my radar
for a long time. They're in Australia doing a couple
of performances. Their sound is something that we don't actually
always play on the night show. But I'm very excited
for you to hear the sound of Tanna adele High.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Welcome. You are gorgeous. You are beautiful.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
I appreciate and this is radio, so I'm not and
you know, I'm not normally like, oh it's got to
paint a picture. But you are gorgeous. You need to
follow Tanner on socials. Appreciate in your little bunnies too,
and the brands you've got down like you are. I've
been listening to you for a little bit. The team here,
the music team, got me onto you and you set
the scene. Where are you from in the state and
how long have you been doing this?
Speaker 4 (01:01):
Yes?
Speaker 5 (01:01):
So I am living in Nashville, Tennessee. I've been there
for three years, making music for three years. But I
grew up in southern California and a place called Star
Valley in Wyoming.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:13):
Yes, wow and music from what ig? How long have
you been doing music?
Speaker 5 (01:17):
I mean I've been singing and dancing and doing that
whole thing. Yeah, as long as I could probably like
walk and talk really, but professionally three years.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
That is incredible. You also might know Tenna from your
music was on Dallas the Dallas Cowboy Chileaders. Yes, so
people we love that in Australia when they had the
documentary that came out.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
People might be familiar with your work from that. That's cool.
Speaker 5 (01:41):
Yeah, Oh it's amazing. I was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.
I've always loved the cheerleaders.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:47):
Her name's Madeline massing Hill. She was the point of
the Star like a couple of years ago, which is
a very prime position if you know anything about the DCCs. Yeah,
and she found me on TikTok with a couple of
songs that I was like, docy don't you Yeah, And
she was like.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
I'm gonna choreograph something to this, like can we like
do something?
Speaker 5 (02:07):
And I was like duh, And then it turned out
that they did it for halftime shows. They've used it
in the show like they've done so much with it,
and like three or four of my songs they have
cheers too, which is insane.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
It's huge.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
How would you describe your music? Is it country slash pop?
I know your influenced by ky pop as well.
Speaker 5 (02:24):
Yeah, I think the easiest way to describe it would
probably be.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Pop country, But I kind of just fly by the
seat in my pain. Yeah whatever I'm feeling.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
Have you always been like that? Because you seem I've
just met you.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
You seem very chill and very very locate, which is
very Australian as well.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Tana, you know you right, that's so funny.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
I feel like people have definitely have a perception of
me based off of my social media that I think
I might come across a little more like extroverted, but
in actual I'm very very introverted and I like to
stay home. I'm not like a huge party girl going
to like catch me at the bar. I like to
play my video games and eat pizza.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
This is why I love you.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
I've got a radio show I talk every night, but
I think I'm an introvert that just has an extrovert job. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, it's just it's just what I have to do.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
It's my it's my career. But I genuine you ask
any of my friends like I I'm so I can
be social, but I would rather be home in my
game as well.
Speaker 3 (03:23):
And my boyfriend, do you have.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
A Nintendo Switch?
Speaker 3 (03:28):
We have to train, we have to the Animal Crossing?
What are you playing?
Speaker 5 (03:33):
I mean Animal Crossing is always a good like when
I'm feeling a little Oh, I need a little cozy
game right now. I just started Rune Factory five and
I've been playing Fay Farm for like a couple of
months now, But I mean anything in everything that I
can get my hands on.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Have you Donstady Valley?
Speaker 4 (03:51):
Yes, okay, I love starting. Okay, I am.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
I've been playing it for so long and I feel
like I haven't. I haven't made any progress. I'm horrible
at talking to the towns people. Yes, yes, and they're
all very cod I just gather. I just gather things.
I have, like so many supplies.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Are you a kid? Did you grow up playing SIMS? No?
Speaker 5 (04:13):
Video games were like not banned in my household, but
it wasn't something that like, my mom was super keen
on and so May.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
That's why I love him so much now because.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
You can do it.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
Yeah, pop stop, I can play. I had to con
my dad. I convinced him that SIMS was like character building.
I'm like, but Dad, they are an expansion packs so
you can get pets. So you know how I want
a dog? Maybe if you buy me the ninety nine
dollars SIMS and that I can prepare me for when
we get a dog. He's like, You're a good You're
a good son, You're a good kids.
Speaker 4 (04:42):
That's amazing.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
SIMS has ruined my life at this point, terrible because
I would spend I think I'd spend so much time
on it. And people always tell me they think I
would love playing SIMS. And I see I see all
the tiktoks and people trapping their Sims in the pool,
and I'm like, I like, baby, not yet. Maybe maybe
like a Christmas break where I can just sit down
(05:05):
and get binge for sure?
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Would you do? Have you done Fortnite?
Speaker 1 (05:10):
No?
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Is it really?
Speaker 3 (05:13):
I can show you Fortnight. It's it's very scares me.
See are you anxious? Do you run anxious?
Speaker 4 (05:20):
Time? I like playing games that like.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
Call me down, like started, I'm the same Q, low.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
Risk, low reward.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
I was playing a Fortnite the other day and no
ship My Apple watches like high heart rate detect it.
Speaker 3 (05:32):
I might shut up Apple watch I Fortnight.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
That's terrifying.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
Yeah, it's the Hunger Games. But on on.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
The on, I wouldn't even know where to begin.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
I don't don't start if you if you want to
be relaxed, not on tour, like you said, a Christmas break,
so honky Tom heartbreak kind of kind of put you
on the map, right, so many people publicly.
Speaker 5 (05:52):
Love you a little bit. Really is the one that
at first just exploded?
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Really was that TikTok? Do you think that was TikTok?
Speaker 5 (06:00):
It hit on TikTok and then somehow made its way
over to Twitter, and yeah, it's.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Got like millions and millions and millions.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
Of views on Twitter, which for culture, like my people
are on Twitter, you know what I mean. TikTok and Twitter,
between the two of those, it was, I mean, people
were really just loving it, and that was that was
really my start.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yeah you're going to go very far. You're very funny,
you're gorgeous. Yeah, your music sounds good, like it's all working.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
Appreciate that.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
And you're easy to talk to, you know, are you? Oh,
thank you?
Speaker 2 (06:33):
It's my job bring you're a pop star. That's very sweet, Grace.
We talked to people sometimes it's like pushing it up hill,
isn't it?
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Like?
Speaker 3 (06:39):
No, No, I'm not going to I wouldn't have worded
it like that, but yes, we.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Struggle sometimes, like and they and they want to go
to the music, and they go back to music.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
It's like like, we got to learn to.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Love you a little something more.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
And I love your social media stuff, like I think
you did a photo dump and I'm like, oh, this
queen is my my girl. There's a photo of McDonald's.
I'm like, yes, Macas.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Shan with a schandelier in there.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
We posted that.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
Oh yeah, it's the most beautiful McDonald's I think I've
ever seen.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
It was in Sydney, right, Yes, it was here. Why
is she in McDonald Yeah? Is this the Chandali a ride?
Speaker 5 (07:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Yeah, we called. We called macas.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Oh that's cute McDonald's. What's your McDonald's order?
Speaker 3 (07:23):
I was about to ask you the same thing.
Speaker 4 (07:25):
We're one.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
We play well we study value.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
Farm.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
You could come visit me.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
We connect in real life and also started Valley. What
I get? Okay, I get a double cheeseburger steamed bun?
What yeah?
Speaker 4 (07:40):
What does that mean?
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Come on?
Speaker 4 (07:43):
Is that offered in the US?
Speaker 3 (07:44):
Oh yeah, it is?
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Okay, So steamed bun is the bun they use on
the filid or phile a fish you guys say, phil a.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
It's different.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
It's different. It's steamed. It's not baked. It's steamed in
like a wet oven. That sounds wet oven. That's like
I but two petties. Just try it steamed bun. When
you order anything next at macas.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Okay, you'd be surprised if they can stay a chicken nugget.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Oh ten, six, twenty.
Speaker 5 (08:12):
Yeah, I mean I go so overboard though, Oh yes, I.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
Don't know if I could finish that every single time.
Speaker 5 (08:20):
But like, I think each nugget deserves its own like
little tub of sauce.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Oh my, I spoke about this on the show. There's
never enough sauce in the Sweet and Sour.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
Top turned twenty nuggets. I need twenty sauce.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
I agree.
Speaker 2 (08:33):
One dunk great, two dunk great. The third dunk. I'm like,
well that's free cood more pisses me off?
Speaker 4 (08:39):
What sauce?
Speaker 3 (08:40):
I'm sweet and sal Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Oh I do like this sweet mustard, like the honeymoon
honey mustard is really really good.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
It is it is And those are the two that
people are like. If he like you either like it
or you don't.
Speaker 5 (08:53):
I agree, people get barbecue if you don't like it,
And I don't like your kidding.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
I'm the same everybody. I don't. You say you have
to field, but I just.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Get I don't like saras, It's okay.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Do you enjoy like this pop star life? I mean,
is it? Is it everything you wanted and more? I
guess my question is now that you're in this world
right people, You've got a great amount of followers, You've
got like a staunch listenership. You here in Australia doing performances,
you're doing press. Is there a moment that's happened in
your career Tanna that is like mind blowing to Baby Tanner.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
I mean, every day is like a growing experience.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
And it's funny because people can look at the social
media and assume, oh, this happened like overnight or but
it's been such hard work, and so every day is
I'm fighting for my life every day, you know, and
I'm trying to hit every single day with one hundred
and ten percent. So it's hard to see my own progress.
(09:48):
But I have to kind of tell myself where was
I a year ago, yeah, and kind of compare and say, Okay,
this is amazing that I'm literally here in Australia writing
Hearts festival that I didn't even know existed. I didn't
even know country music that people just loved it so
much over here.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Excuse me, We've got the Golden guitar. It's amazing.
Speaker 5 (10:06):
It's amazing, and I literally Keith is a beautiful human
being first of all. But I mean coming from he
was born in New Zealand, right, yeah, I think so, yeah, right,
But like he's he's an azzy baby, yeah, And I
mean he was one of my first like loves of music,
and then especially of country music. And I didn't realize
(10:27):
that country music could be like that. And I was
really I was young at the time, not even realizing
that it was country music. I just loved him and
I loved his songs and his writing and the guy
can shred a guitar up.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Yeah, he knows what he's doing.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
It's insane.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
Nicole.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
I was just about to say, like, is this not
the cutest, perfect little couple.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Yeah, if you can pull Nicole kidman, he's got tricks literally, and.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
Every time I see him, I'm like, yeah, is Nicole here?
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Is Nicole here to this building? Remember? And we were like,
I wonder if Nicols she wasn't.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
She wasn't Monday one day?
Speaker 3 (11:02):
So what is nixt like? Because you've got had the ape, like,
would you album?
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Is?
Speaker 3 (11:06):
Is that what we're going to want?
Speaker 4 (11:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (11:07):
I am working on my debut album. It's been a
work in progress. There are songs on it that I
wrote by myself a couple of years ago, just going
through some really I will say, tumultuous times in my life.
Speaker 4 (11:21):
Uh, And I didn't know if I.
Speaker 5 (11:24):
Would ever even release them or let anybody hear them,
And it's kind of become the foundation for this entire album.
I've searched deep inside of myself to write these songs,
and I think people will be shocked but happily surprised
to hear some of the stories and things that I
have to say.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
So I'm so excited.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
I'm so excited for you. You are a sweetheart and
the music is brilliant and I'm so happy to have
had you on the show. Thank you for stopping by.
Enjoy Australia.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
When do you go home? When do you flying out?
Speaker 4 (11:54):
I think like Monday or something.
Speaker 5 (11:55):

Rdenheart so I'll be here and then burn.
Speaker 2 (12:01):

Speaker 4 (12:06):
No, I've just heard you know.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
Melbourne is like not it so Melban Melbourne, Melban, Melban.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Think like we say, I'd say Melbourne Melbourne. Oh that's good,
that's good. Okay you say that.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Okay, And I liked you to start and now I'm
not giving you my switch friend code.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
I thought you were telling me, teaching me how to
say that.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Whenever I have an American and I always end up
going down the do when I.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Was the accent?
Speaker 4 (12:33):
Can you do an American accent?
Speaker 3 (12:35):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (12:35):
I studied theater in New York.
Speaker 4 (12:38):

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Driving up at I'm driving up at the window.
Speaker 4 (12:46):

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Come on, you just got that, okay, okay, don't forget
it is seen you work at macis.
Speaker 5 (13:06):
