My name is Simon and I'm the Red Wiggle in
the Wiggles. Hello Shimon, Hello Lockey. It's great to be
here for another episode of Deer Wiggles. Yes, now, before
we get into it, we went on holidays. Now we
live close Sish to the beach. Yes, and Ash has
never really liked the beach, because has he explained to
me before we went on holidays. And I don't know

(00:48):
where he got this term from. I don't like getting
sand in my crack.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Yeah, So I'm not sure where we heard that one.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
I'm assuming maybe and old a friend or Gutson or something. Anyway,
so that's always a bit a bit tricky. But prior
to that, when he was really little, we used to
go to the beach, yes, and he would eat the
sand and I would always think to okay, well you
try it. Once, give it a baby, try put everything
in your mouth. But do you think that'd be enough.

(01:23):
We had to rule the beach out for a good
sort of year or so because it was just too
distressing for me. Talk about sand and the crack then
when it comes out the other end.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
But did they say where dogs eat grass?

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Like?

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Was he missing nutrients?

Speaker 3 (01:41):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:41):
I don't know what. Yeah, anyway, so the beach went
off the radar for a while because of that, and
then because of the sand going through everywhere. But on
our holiday, he got right into the beach, loved it
to the point where where we was saying they had
a boogie board and a surfboard.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
He went to another beach. Yeah, yes, yes, yeah, you
change the beach. Yeah, we have something to do with it.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
Maybe we actually haven't been to the beach at home now,
so okay, we'll try. He did get a boogey board
for his birthday. Cool, but he loved it. He had
the best time and he wasn't concerned about the sand
at all when he got on the boogie board down
the waves, he got up on the surfboard, stood up
on the board. I had the best time. Noose is

a great beach. For that, Yeah, because they were just
little waves. I mean a couple of days they were
a bit bigger and it was kind of deep early,
but most of the time it's quite flattened.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Do you remember your first getting dumped as a kid.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Whether it's the first one. I do remember that.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
At that scary amoument end up in the washing machine,
and that did happen to Asher, but he just jumped
straight back up and went back into it, and I thought, Okay,
this will roil it out again for another twelve months,
but he was totally fine. Wow, we had the best time.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
That's so nice. Yeah, it's putting sunscreen on wet skin.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Yes, wet sandy skin.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Wet sandy skin. It's very hard.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Yeah, that's when the sand issue came back, when I
thought I'd got all the sand off his legs and
put him more cream on, and it's like sandbad.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
But you're right.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
We'll have to go to the beach near home and
see if we can recreate the magic.

Yeah.

Yes, today we're gonna get to recreate the magic of
deer Wiggles.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Aren't we we are?

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Yeah, Joe rights deer Wiggles. My four year old has
entered the why era, and I'm being interrogated From the
second their eyes open. It starts off calm and I'm present,
and then about seven twelve am, I've explaining gravity with
the confidence of a scientist and the facts of a toddler.

(03:56):
What do you do when you've got absolutely nothing left?
But they're still hitting you with why like it's their job.
Thank you, Joe. This is good timing, Joe, because Dana
Rangey yesterday and said, the girls do not stop talking.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
In the car.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Maybe is it a car thing? Maybe it was just
a general kid think that they were throwing wires all
over the place and done it wasn't It wasn't the
day for explaining lots of whys. But it is a thing,
isn't it.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
You're just inquisitive? Ye. Also, I know it's that thing,
isn't it?

Speaker 4 (04:25):
Because Ashes does it as well and asked pretty, you know, dad,
why are there clouds in the sky? And you think, oh, well,
and you really you know, I wasn't that good at school,
so I don't have a lot of answers for a
lot of he's asking, but I do do the deferring.
That's a great question, esha, that's really interesting, you know what.

(04:46):
I've never thought of that. So I'm going to go
and find out. Maybe we can find out together. I
look something up and we can look at it together,
and we can learn about it together. And I try
to defer, and then of course in the next why comes.
But it's set tricky thing, isn't it, Because you not
for a second want to stop that curiosity because it's
so wonderful. But a lot of the time you just

(05:08):
don't have the answer.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
No, And then other times they're definitely just doing it
to be just to be funny. Yeah, you can give
it one word like why are we eating this?

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Why because it's breakfast time? Why?

Speaker 2 (05:21):
Just because you have to eat breakfast before?

Speaker 3 (05:23):
And then you end up yeah, see, yeah, that's interesting.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
I only get the big questions from actually yeah, I
don't get the the little.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
The cheeky yeah, okay, why why?

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (05:34):
We actually haven't whether we will hit that stage, I
don't know, But I just get the why are volcanoes there?

Speaker 3 (05:41):
You know?

Speaker 4 (05:42):
I came out with a joke which I actually loved
I said, what did one volcano say to the other volcano? What?

Speaker 3 (05:48):
I love you?

Speaker 4 (05:52):
It's very good, so thank you. And he's getting into
riddles and things like that, little jokes. Yeah, And I said,
what did the broccoli say to the steak on the
top shelf? Jesus, steaks are high around.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
Here, Joe, are you expecting this answer a joke about
broccoli at steak?

Speaker 3 (06:14):
That's good?

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Yeah, I like, But I think with the why, i'd
still try to have fun and be playful with it. Yeah,
but I understand Joe exactly. It's when it's just constant,
how hard that is to keep coming up with an
answer knowing there's another why that's directly on the back
of it.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Yes, it must be developmentally linked. Happy to be, Yeah,
you have to be, which would suggest that it will stop.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
If there's an answer you don't know, just to move
it on. Do you make up an answer? You know why?
I actually asked a lot of how as well? You know,
how a car's made, you know, for example, wheels on
this chassi? What's a chassi? Well, the chassis, you know,
But is it okay to just make them an answer?
Throw it out there and say, oh, the fairies came.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
And yeah, yeah, that sparks creativity and I like that. Yeah,
like we do that, and then I like what you said,
Then let's find that out together. I actually don't know.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Yeah, I do have to say that a lot. You
know what, Actually I have no idea, But let's go
and find out. What were our parents like when we
continued to ask, why did they actually answer us? Or
they just told us to go off and go outside
and play?

Speaker 3 (07:28):
Probably more of that.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
Yeah, I think we would give so much attention, which
is beautiful. I think it's wonderful and it's going to
help our children grow up to be wonderful, curious people,
adults who can communicate well and all those kind of things.
But yeah, I think there's probably a change.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
