Lachy walks into the studio with an idea, and Simon is trying to work out whether it’s brilliant, ridiculous, or a bit of both.

The pitch: a 2027 Wiggle Dads calendar. What starts as fitness motivation somehow turns into a charity fundraiser, a possible Christmas surprise, and a surprisingly serious conversation about poses, months, paper quality and whether anyone is actually ready for this.

of just rushed in to do this because you've come
in with what you're calling is an idea, yes, and
we thought, okay, well look you've got an idea, we
all need to hear it. And so I don't know
if this idea is, if it's a joke, if you've
got some sort of business plan or or something. We're

all going to regret encouraging you. But we're here now
and so we're doing this episode. We're going to treat
it like, well, let's treat it like this is a
sort of proper pitch meeting, right, we never really go
into we're not cool port at all. No. You again,
when someone says, you know what's the give us the

elevator pitch, I would never know.

You know, I wouldn't be in the elevator. Hevy through
the walls, Yelly.

You're going to explain what it is. I'm going to
ask questions. Yes, and then we'll work out whether this
should actually be something that exists. Yes, and something we

anything else, this is your time? What is your stairwell pitch?

Thank you? Good afternoon, ladies and jelly speed ladles and Jellysy.
I'm nervous. I see this was a bad idea. No,
you know how I come in all wheel guns?

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Blay you do. You've had a day to think and I.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Haven't thought about it properly. No, but this is my idea.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
Are you ready? I'm ready.

The No. I've thought about this for while. I've been
inspired by you're fasting recently, yes, and you wanting to
get into shape, and we talked about the other week.
But I find it very hard to be consistent in
just general looking after myself, and I always use the excuse.
And it's just a really busy life. Yes, but there's

lots of Look, my pitch is should we do twenty
and twenty seven? Wiggle Dad? Calendar?

Speaker 3 (02:41):
A calendar?

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Yes, that's it. Okay, Then does it involve all the wiggles?
Is it just the dads? This is not I mean
to be the one asking the questions? Is the other
one pitching the Well that's my pitch?

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Okay, okay, so let me get so. It's a calendar.
It's a yearly calendar, yes, a month by month.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Yep, like an old school you know there's still calendar
stands at the shops.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Yeah, people still buy calendars, cats on them and dogs
and so Wiggly Dad, well that's up for debate. A
wiggly calendar, yes, month by month? Yes. And the start
of this conversation was about fasting at the start of
your bitch, and then it went about I'm straight away

(03:23):
thinking fire people. Yeah, firefighters. Because if you're talking, are
you wanting to use this calendar as a motivation to
get in better shape?

Speaker 2 (03:35):

Is that part of what it was.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
But it's not a vanity project at all. Yes, I
want something to strive for but then my first question
is were wiggles. Yes we are, and I can wear
a slightly tighter top, but I can't unbutton. No, well
that's yeah, that's my other question. So so then then
I get this is where i've a bit because you know,

to sell is to be controversial. But well, that's right,
we could show our ankles wiggle shorts, that's right. Oversely,
this is where I run into problems. I don't I
don't want to. It's not a show piece, but it's
and I don't know who it's for. No, if it's
the wiggle da everybody needs a calendar, Yeah they do.

(04:21):
They need a twenty twenty seven calendar. And I thought, well,
I don't know if they've gone out of fashion, but
we could bring it back.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Yes, that's what the Wiggles are known for. Yeah, it is.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
It is a bit of a let's use the next
few months to get in really good shape, in a
healthy way, in a consistent way. I want to be
healthy for my kids. I want Dana to go, you know,
looking good lobby. And I just thought, well, the calendar's fun.
And then I thought, we could, you know, put it

up on the website, and we can raise some money
for a lovely charity. That's what That's what I thought. Yeah,
get everyone at Christmas to buy the wiggle Do you
call it wiill Talk? Do you call it the Wiggles?
Do you call it will dads? These are all the
questions wiggle shred.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Yeah, so that's actually a nice idea then, So we
could put it on our online store, Yes we have,
and you could purchase the calendar yp for Christmas. Yes,
so we've got a time frame. Doesn't leave us a
lot of time now, because there'd be printing time.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
We have to find a printer. We have to find
a photographer.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
I'm stating the fast now.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
We have to get ideas of shots.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Do we do the old school? I'll hold the fires,
you chop the wood.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah, we'll see that. I mean, I guess we've got
to discuss firstly, if it is based around wiggled Talk,
that's you and I. That's six months each.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
I bag October. That's all our bags.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
I mean, if we could bring in John that.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Would sell a few. Yes, yeah see I also one
to surprise Laws and Donna. Yes, the other day classic
lockey thing. I just said to Danna, what do you
think about a Wiggle's calendar lot but shy ha done
away from this episode. She won't hear this one. Also,
don't listen to the one that's labeled Lockeye's idea. But

you could still be a surprise, Yes, but it would
be funny. So that was my little Christmas present idea too,
so that there's a but yeah, no, sorry, But the
thing Data said first was like, oh, yeah, that'd be great,
but she wanted Locky Beard.

I'm like, well, that just puts a hole.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Well yeah, I mean that's I'm.

Going to have to start growing in now all through
the American tour to come back in late August for
the photo shoot.

Okay, So I mean I think that's the next thing,
isn't it is that we need to come up with.
I'm on board. I'm on board, and particularly because I
think if we can raise some money for a charity, Yeah,
we need to decide what that. Have you got any
ideas of what that charity might be?

Speaker 2 (07:07):
No, there's so many ideas, and we could actually put
it out to the people.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
Yeah, we could put it out to the people. What
we could put out to the people is what sort
of photos we should take what would like beside the fire, Yes,
you know, the chopping the wood, all those. Do you
go down that road of the sort of stereotypical calendar shots. Yeah?
Do we get more people involved or is it just

literally you, myself and Johnny?

Speaker 2 (07:35):
I quite like it being a dad scene. Johnny's got
nothing to worry about. He's PICTURETTI now slightly upsetting. I
thought of the car of the way here. One of
my objectives could be to see I could put his
skivvy on. Oh yeah, is when we get our washing out.
I don't even have to look at the tag because
the size difference is quite staggering, the width of the skivvy.

(08:00):
John Johnny he got his suggusted, didn't hears he actually
gets them taken in see that he wears the Okay,
we'll see that's I could wear that and I look
like Captain America.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Yeah, okay, well we need we can't be naked, no, no,
you know, we can't be provocative, but it's we're wiggles.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
You just reminded me of something part of my thinking
in this, and again this is not vanity, but this
is something that I don't at all get upset about
because I have good body image. But I would like
to at Christmas time go to the beach of an
afternoon because I would wear my rashi in the middle
of the day if I was at the beach but
not wear a rashi. It's something I think. Yeah, number one,

(08:42):
because it's quite a possibility you get recognized at the beach,
which is when I'm in my rashi. I don't I
look like Batman.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
That's fine, but you.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Know, I just I would like to do that just
for myself. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for no other reason than
just I want to feel comfortable.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Yes, it is awkward when people are photos at the beach.
We need a time frame. So if we've set by
the end of August, because there'd be photo time, printing time.

(09:21):
I don't understand that sort of No, we'll have time frame.
We need to talk to people who know about that,
come into people.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
It has to be nice quality. We also need to
find a good photographer who knows how to make you
look good with shadow. And none of these photos I'm
going to say right now, will be digitally re edited,
re edited, not enhanced whatsoever. This is all natural, just consistent,

(09:50):
hard work.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Okay, do we tell John about it? Or maybe we
feed him without knowing. By the way, give you the
decever Christmas.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Put what what month would you like? Oh, look, we've
got four reach what I thought people might love to see,
like Anto, Yeah, dad, he'd like to do a month.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Yeah.

All I asked for is October.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
If that's okay, you can have that's your birthday.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
That's the birthday. I always like, I always hope when
I buy a calendar that the October picture is good.

Well, there's a lot of pressure on October, isn't it.
That's also October? Is no? We like Halloween too, isn't it. Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:40):
But you know what, naturally, I was thinking I'd go
back to my cowboy era, which I know they've got
some nice comments. You do a bit of a rip
themed Yellowstone, okay for October? Maybe without giving too much away.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
That's what I was been thinking about this. If we
all choose our birthdays, when's Johnny's birthday?

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Well, gee, I should know that. That's a very good question.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
If he's October, that's controversial on March, so I'll take March,
all right, Anthony May May he doesn't know about this yet.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
Then I thought we could do a few together. Oh yeah,
putting out of fires together, hold those I'd love to
go to holding the puppies just because.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Oh yeah, so that's so we need to kind of
do holding your puppies and push your cats and all
those kind of.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
In the farm. Yes, yeah, we need suggestions.

Maybe maybe you could ask our wonderful audience for suggestions.

be involved. And that's a good place to start. So

Yeah, wiggle dads is good. Okay, there's a bit of
motivation for us. Just work on your arms locking. If
you're going to wear shirts, well you know bed Yeah,
well they might give it away for Darna to. Oh no,
she you know that's that's true.

No, I won't bring it up again.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
No, don't talk about it. Just never talk to her
again for the next six months.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
For Christmas, she'll get that little stocking surprise, see that pride?
And how long into how long printing? Surely that well,
I mean a cut printing can't take long. But I mean,
I guess how many do we get printed? I don't
know that the demand, I mean, I can't imagine demands
through the well, but I would like to raise some

money for charity. I know, I'm thinking of ten thousand,
ten thousand.

See, that's why it's good to take the stairs. I'm

but a lot of the time. I never know what's

Because I do want it to be nice paper. That's
part of it, isn't it.

Yeah, good quality and does have a little little binder
at the top with a little you know, the one
little yeah ring at the top of the little binder.

We're going to have to go look at calendars. It
can't be a mini one. Yeah yeah, yeah, well that's
true too. We've got to look at what people.

And the styling of them. It's not just about the photo.
It's actually a calendar.

Yes, what's the front cover?

Speaker 3 (14:55):
And you cross off the days that you've got to
be able to have a square to write in. Yes,
family outings and things, you know, Yeah, you be able
to do all that needs not just a picture. No,
it's not just the pictures of us. Actually has a
fund is a proper set. We have more thinking more
do Yeah, we need the format of the month.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Do you still use calendars?

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Do you still.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Do you still hanging them at home? Do people still
use that or do they use.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
No, we've got one calendar. Okay, we've got one.

So they pop up every year, don't they Christmas? That
there's always the middle of the shopping center. I would
like to be in those stands.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Yeah, no, we should definitely be in the stands. Definitely,
definitely stands in the Wiggle shop. But also we're in retail. Definitely,
we're definitely on the retail floor.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Yeah we really Yeah. Okay, well, please send your your thoughts.
I'm October, but I'm more open to more ideas than
Yellowstone if you want to send something in.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
But I just know the beard. Does that mean you'll
have a beard for every month you're in. It's just October.
You're growing for October and then you'll take it off.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
I thought the beard looked good you watching ready steady wiggle. Yes,
when I don't have a hat on and I'm in
the skivvy, it looked so much worse than I thought.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
People have loved it though, Yeah.

But I don't know if that was for the country
special when I had my hat on and the whole
cowboy hat balances it out. When it's general skivvy with
no cowboy hat, it looks very weird.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
So October Yellowstone and then and then shave of head off,
shave off off. Yeah, we could do the great show.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
One of them could be like you know you let out.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
Yeah, I have one with shaving green on your feet.
There's another month, think December is you as well with
the shaving cream on. Okay, but let's not give it
away though, I don't give it away. No, we just

No, it doesn't have to be. Then people need to
see you sit out a natural environment.

They'll have to do a gardening one, the lawn, trimming
